The crash of healthcare.gov in October 2013 sparked a nationwide conversation about how the federal government designs and launches online services to the public. About a year later, the White House launched the US digital service, a tech hub within the executive office of the president. That office is now home to the Department of Government Efficiency. Federal News Network's Jory Heckman has more on this historical moment in federal news history. EasyGo, the country's largest private EV charging network, has today announced its selection to help deliver a landmark €15 million government-supported initiative that will install electric vehicle chargers at 229 sports clubs across the island of Ireland. The Scheme is funded through the Government's Shared Island Initiative and ZEVI infrastructure funding. Through it, GAA, rugby, soccer, cricket, golf and other sporting organisations will benefit from fast, reliable 50 kW DC chargers - bringing vital EV infrastructure into the heart of local communities, including many rural areas traditionally underserved. EasyGo is one of just three suppliers selected under the new scheme, and is offering clubs a zero-cost, profit-sharing partnership. Participating clubs will receive an attractive commercial offering helping them reinvest in grassroots sport while EasyGo handles installation, maintenance and insurance. The scheme is expected to significantly expand the EV charging network across both urban and rural areas across the whole island over the coming year. While the clubs eligible for the current scheme have already been selected, EasyGo welcomes expressions of interest from any club. This latest milestone builds on EasyGo's rapid national expansion and growing track record of community-first EV charging innovation. The company recently partnered with the Department of Transport to launch Ireland's first Shared Charging Initiative - a pioneering pilot scheme that allows homeowners to make their private EV chargers available to neighbours and the wider public, boosting access to charging infrastructure in residential areas. EasyGo was established in 2018 in response to the growing need for accessible and reliable EV charging infrastructure across Ireland, extending beyond major urban centres. The company's growth is underpinned by strong financial backing, including a €30 million investment raised in 2023 through Rubicon Capital Advisors from Aviva Investors. EasyGo CEO Ollie Chatten said: "This is a major milestone in our mission to make EV charging available everywhere - not just in cities, but in the rural towns and local clubs that are the backbone of Irish communities. It builds on our shared charging pilot and our international expansion, and shows how Irish innovation can lead the way in sustainable transport. Sports clubs are more than places to practice or watch a match - they're where people gather and connect. By bringing charging infrastructure to these spaces, we're making it easier for families, supporters and volunteers to choose electric, every day" Patrick "Bonner" Maher, Key Account Manager at EasyGo and former Tipperary senior hurler, said: "Growing up with my club, Lorrha-Dorrha, I know how important clubs are to communities, especially in rural areas. This initiative is about more than just EV chargers, it's about supporting clubs like mine and making sustainable transport accessible to everyone who relies on them." See more stories here. Josh Sigurdson reports on the overall agenda being manufactured in the face of natural disasters worldwide as insurance companies face record high losses following storms in Texas, North Carolina and following 41,000 wildfires in the United States alone this year. With insurance companies failing, it makes sense to assume that the government will be stepping in to "fund" relief, but is this just part of an overall agenda to seize private property so you "own nothing" as the WEF says? It takes a disaster often to bring in a false solution which leads to less freedom. With these natural disasters, it's interesting that we are also seeing the collapse of the grid, including the largest grid in the United States as it is strained to keep up with the massive AI data centers being rolled out by President Trump. Electricity bills are also going sky high at the moment and conveniently (for all the wrong reasons), carbon trackers are being implemented on people's bank accounts. As eminent domain snatches up properties in the face of disaster and grids and supply chains implode, it's interesting that simultaneously, digital IDs and CBDCs are being rolled out across the board as well as government run grocery stores and AI governance rules. In this episode of our podcast series, The AI Workplace, Sam Sedaei (associate, Chicago) is joined by Cécile Martin (partner, Paris) to discuss a landmark French court case on the a company's pilot implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) tools on select employees. The Nanterre Court of Justice ruled that deploying AI tool applications in an experimental or pilot phase required prior consultation with the works council due to significant employee interaction with the project. Cécile and Sam highlight the importance of assessing the scope of AI tool experimentation, including how many employees will be trained on and allowed to use AI tools, to determine whether works council consultation is required. Cécile also provides a general overview of the types of works councils in France, their powers, and the circumstances under which employers must inform and consult the councils.

Josh Sigurdson reports on the rollout of CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies) in nearly every country worldwide simultaneously alongside Digital IDs. Order out of chaos. There is chaos being perpetuated by design worldwide right now and conveniently, nearly every government is rolling out a cashless society as the United States pushes forward AI legislation, passes the GENIUS Act, XMoney launches in partnership with Visa as part of the social media X's social credit system, the European Union launches a Digital ID wallet at the same time as they launch a CBDC by October at the latest, the UK launches their Digital ID wallet and pushes for the Pound to "go woke" and the Australian Digital ID wallet is launched as a litmus for other countries. Russia, China and other BRICS+ countries are full steam ahead with mandated Digital IDs and major corporations like Palantir are creating vast databases on everyone which will likely be ties to their social media presence as well as their credit card spending. As the EU rolls out their Digital ID and CBDC faster than almost anyone else, they're also banning private messaging and privacy coins, settling for KYC based cryptocurrency stablecoins. This is similar to the US push for banks to regulate crypto, ironically the exact thing crypto was designed to fight. Meanwhile, SpaceX will invest $2 billion in Elon Musk's xAI which Musk just sold X to for $33 billion. This comes as SpaceX launches a $200 million smartphone in space for Israel. There are no coincidences here. They're destroying the supply chain, the grid, controlling the surveillance of the internet, destroying the economy and coming in with their so-called solution with a ration based technocracy, entirely eliminating independence. Are people ready to withdraw from this system? Or depend on it forever. Tyranny comes under the guise of convenience. Stay tuned for more from WAM! AIB and Microsoft Ireland have announced the rollout of a broad and integrated suite of AI capabilities in AIB to support colleagues and drive greater innovation for AIB customers, transforming how the organisation works, builds, and innovates. This reinforces AIB's commitment to responsible, enterprise-scale AI adoption. At the core of this transformation is the widespread deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot to the vast majority of AIB employees. Seamlessly embedding AI into everyday tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, Copilot will empower colleagues to transform how they work. Copilot optimises forecasting, supports planning, and enhances collaboration by aligning project updates across teams. By reducing time spent on repetitive tasks, these tools will free up time for higher-value work and allow employees to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional outcomes for customers. To extend these capabilities further, AIB's AI Centre of Excellence is also using Copilot Studio to develop tailored AI solutions - for example, enabling teams to rapidly synthesise customer insights from complex data sources to support faster, more informed decision-making. These solutions will underpin a scalable, governed AI platform that drives measurable outcomes across the organisation. In addition, AIB is planning to introduce a secure, enterprise-grade AI coding tool to accelerate software development with GitHub Copilot, enabling engineers to develop intelligent, secure solutions with greater speed and precision. By streamlining development workflows and collaboration, it will accelerate the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the bank's evolving needs and drive meaningful customer impact. Together, these technologies form a unified ecosystem to enhance how AIB builds, collaborates, and delivers value. This positions AIB at the forefront of innovation in financial services in Ireland. AIB is committed to fostering a collaborative culture as it embeds AI across the organisation. A comprehensive training and support programme will help colleagues build the skills and confidence to get the most from Copilot. The bank will also promote peer learning by encouraging the sharing of insights and experiences. AIB remains committed to engagement with the Financial Services Union on the continued implementation of AI capabilities. Research from Microsoft and Trinity College Dublin shows that AI is expected to add €250bn to Ireland's economy by 2035 and highlights how AI adoption in Ireland has surged to 91%, nearly doubling from 49% in 2024, a significant leap that now puts Ireland ahead of many of its EU counterparts. We're not long back from attending the AI Summit in London - the headline event for London Tech Week. And so this week's episode is all about sharing the sometimes surprising key insights we took away. The Summit brought together an incredible cross-section of nationalities, perspectives, and industries, giving us what felt like a real-time pulse check of where AI stands right now. We were there on your behalf, identifying amazing leaders and securing some fantastic upcoming guests for the show.In this episode, we share our biggest takeaways from the event - and we suspect at least one of them will challenge what you might expect about AI's current impact in the business world. What you'll hear:The surprising reality about AI's bottom-line impact in most organisations Why even the biggest companies are missing a crucial strategic opportunity with their AI approachThe coming wave of autonomous AI Agents and what this means for how we'll all be working soon, Some rare ‘behind the curtain' examples of how some of the most forward thinking businesses are applying AI, and . . . The fascinating cultural divide we observed between how Europeans and Americans are talking about AI's impact on jobs.We also explore why so many AI pilots are failing to scale, the risks of unauthorised AI tool usage in workplaces, and what successful AI deployment actually looks like when companies think beyond just automating existing processes. If you've been wondering whether your organisation is behind the curve with AI, or if you're curious about what's really happening beyond the hype, this episode offers some much-needed perspective from the front lines of the AI world around the globe.Useful LinksThe AI Summit LondonMcKinsey report on the 'Gen AI Paradox' Hosted on Acast. Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins attempted to assuage lawmakers' concerns Tuesday over how the agency plans to deliver critical health tech services amid drastic cuts to its workforce. Appearing before the Senate Appropriations Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee, Collins said the VA is full steam ahead on planned deployments of its oft-troubled electronic health record at additional facilities, and is also pushing forward on the rollout of its External Provider Scheduling tool. The VA said in February that it had dismissed 1,000 employees, while the Associated Press reported in March that it planned to cut 80,000 staffers. The Oracle EHR system, meanwhile — plagued by technical problems since its launch during the first Trump administration — is scheduled to be deployed at 13 medical facilities by 2026. A suite of Elastic products will be discounted for agencies by up to 60% under a new deal announced Tuesday by the General Services Administration. The agreement, part of the GSA's OneGov strategy to modernize how the government purchases goods and services, will give agencies access to discounts of Elastic's self-managed solution starting at 27.5%, climbing to higher savings based on governmentwide annual spending. Stephen Ehikian, GSA's acting administrator, said in a press release that the pact “represents a significant step in our efforts to drive cost efficiencies and modernize IT infrastructure across the federal government.” Additionally, discounts start at 15% for FedRAMP Moderate cloud deployments via GovCloud, jumping to 32% at the top volume tier. The pricing options are locked in for orders made prior to Sept. 30, 2027. The Daily Scoop Podcast is available every Monday-Friday afternoon. Over the weekend, while the world was transfixed by war in the Middle East, the Tesla Robotaxi quietly appeared on the streets of Austin, Texas. It didn’t stay quiet for long, though. As a handful of Tesla influencers filmed themselves driven through the streets of the red state’s famously blue capital, their smartphone videos caught plenty of traffic violations. In this week’s episode David Papadopoulos is joined by Max Chafkin as well as Bloomberg electric vehicles reporter Kara Carlson to break down the launch. Years in the making, and with rivals like Waymo already familiar sights in some big US cities, will Elon Musk be able to spin this as something other than a tepid attempt at catch-up? Tesla investors seem to think so: the stock jumped 8.2% on Monday. Papadopoulos and Chafkin are then joined by Bloomberg social media reporter Kurt Wagner, just back from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Wagner discusses X’s participation, or rather absence, from the all-important advertising event, and goes through how Musk’s embattled social media platform has reportedly tried to strong-arm advertisers to return by threatening lawsuits. This prompted Papadopoulos to speculate about the equivalent situation for hot dog vendors or shovel salesmen. Lastly, the crew discuss a few additional news item from the week, namely an exploding SpaceX rocket and the recent report that Musk doesn’t use a computer.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ken Johnston is excited about the "flash and hype" for Tesla's (TSLA) weekend rollout of its Robotaxi capabilities. He believes Tesla is focused on the long game, and says Elon Musk's company holds the upper hand with its established software-defined vehicles. Yvette Zhang says the autonomous driving market is estimated to grow at 11% year-over-year, but adds that Robotaxi is more regionalized because of legislation restrictions.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – / schwabnetwork Follow us on Facebook – / schwabnetwork Follow us on LinkedIn - / schwab-network About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about

Garrett Nelson with CFRA is bullish when it comes to Tesla's (TSLA) long-term prospects but plans to "stay on the sidelines" near-term. On the company's robotaxi launch in Austin, Garrett points out the tentative June 22nd launch date as strange, leading him to believe Telsa wants to keep the event "low key." He adds concerns for Tesla's falling deliveries and earnings that indicate bearish behavior for the stock.
