Buckle up everyone, it's the final AGROBAR episode of 2025, and the guy that they put at the wheel for this one most definitely does not have a license. That's right, we're doing two Jesus-adjacent versions of GGROBAR! "Grandma Got Won Over by a Stranger" by ApologetiX might give you whiplash with its mix of goofy parody-of-a-parody sound and its needlessly dark subject matter. And listen all y'all, it's not sabotage, and it's not even that bad: it's just "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" as performed by Family Force 5. The ranking music in this episode, and all August Got Run Over By a Reindeer (AGROBAR) episodes, is “Everything Sucks” by Reel Big Fish.
exploring Luke 13 through 15 seeing how this Gospel relates to the Prodigal son story.
In which Prosh's plans sort of come to fruition; we do not know very much about movies; Iceman dies (but is fine); The Stranger gets around; and Toad learns nothing.
Too many of us read Luke 11 and see ourselves as the ones outside begging for bread… but that's not who you are. You're already in the house, sitting with the Father, covered in His love and grace. In this episode, I'm breaking down the truth of your identity—you don't have to beg, chase, or wonder if God hears you. You're His child, and that changes everything. Let's talk about it.
Jesus is not the mascot of nationalism or our comfort – he's a God who steps into the margins and shows us how to radically welcome the outsider. So proud of all the ways we get to live this out together!

Is it possible or likely that children across the U.S. have been kidnapped, birthed in secret, or taken from schools under the guise of being 'gifted' for programs involving both the technical and psychic. Is it possible that with so many brilliant minds being taken underground we have an explanation for $21-Trillion of black infrastructure and the reported evidence that military and corporate powers have technology up to half a century or more in advance of what is on the surface. Truth is stranger than fiction and these are some of the strangest things. If any of this is true then what is the purpose? Friedrich Nietzsche is known as one of the most infamous critics of Christianity, but are there lessons Christians can learn from that critique? The faith is beginning to see a small but real revival in the West, but most seekers are looking for a more robust and demanding version than is currently offered in our modern world. Athenian Stranger joins me to discuss how a better understanding of Nietzsche's work can actually help Christian combat nihilism. 774 A Stranger They Will Not Follow, A Guided Christian Meditation on John 10:1-3 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization. u can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes. Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation: Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate. Scripture for Meditation NABRE 3 When he has driven out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they recognize his voice. 5 But they will not follow a stranger; they will run away from him, because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.” 6 Although Jesus used this figure of speech, they did not realize what he was trying to tell them. KJV 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Reflection on Scripture: As we know, Jesus is the shepherd. We are the crazy sheep. Those who respond to the shepherd are the sheep of the shepherd. We hear the voice of that shepherd and respond. This analogy works if we look deeper also. From the perspective of the sheep they choose to trust the master. They choose to overcome their fear and respond to His words of calm. They think that it is a natural thing for them to be loved and protected. Of course they don't need to worry too greatly for predators because predators don't ever overcome them. The sheep that have put their trust in the shepherd may even think themselves quite clever. Yet at the end of the day it is the wisdom of the shepherd that taught the sheep. The sheep would not have anyone to trust if it wasnt for the wisdom of the Shepherd. The shepherd has patience and has given protection. All the things that the sheep have learned to assume is just the normal way of things, are actually the agency of the shepherd. The decision of the shepherd is what makes the relationship meaningful. If the shepherd was uncaring or unreliable then the sheep would not trust that person. The sheep do not trust a stranger because there is nothing trustworthy for them to see. The only reason we can even try and follow God's commands is because he is powerful enough to create a universe, he was wise enough to create a law and then a new law that would bless us, and ultimately he had the love enough to help us overcome our failures. It is the wisdom and agency of the shepherd that makes it even possible for the sheep to listen. The sheep would not even be alive without the shepherd. Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life: This is a listener funded podcast at patreon.com/christianmeditationpodcast Final Question: If you consider the invitation and command to persevere in the faith, what change in your life does that bring to your mind? The investigation continues into two unusual high-altitude encounters initially described as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drone sightings. Information gathered since the Flight Safety Detectives' first look at this incident has made these strange events seem like unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) incidents. In December 2024, a Delta 767 crew reported being shadowed for over an hour at 34,000 feet by multiple flashing red-and-white aircraft over New Mexico and Arizona—well above legal drone limits and invisible to ATC radar. FAA records later indicated four objects maneuvering close to the jet, one within 1,000 feet.Shortly after, a United 787 at 27,000 feet had a brief, separate encounter with a similar object. FOIA requests revealed details that made these cases more consistent with UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) than drones, given their altitude, endurance, and performance.Greg Feith, John Goglia, and Todd Curtis discuss aviation safety concerns, the FAA's lack of a dedicated UAP reporting system, and the stigma pilots face in reporting such events. Todd plans to mine FAA drone-incident data and Mandatory Occurrence Reports to identify other likely UAP encounters. KNOW THYSELF. Today, we have the second part of the excellent conversation on First Alcibiades with Dcn. Garlick, Alec Bianco, and Athenian Stranger. The conversation starts at 124(b)!First Alcibiades is one of the BEST PLACES you could start with Plato. Check out thegreatbookspodcast.com for our reading schedule and more!Check out our WRITTEN GUIDE to First Alcibiades. From the guide:14. What does Socrates teach Alcibiades about the body (129b)?Plato teaches that the body is subordinate to the soul, viewing it as a possession rather than the essence of man. If one is to “know thyself” then one must know what the “self” is. Dcn. Garlick contrasts this with the Christian tradition's composite view of man as body and soul, influenced by Aristotle and Aquinas, yet argues Plato's stance merits seriously consideration. Dcn. Garlick argues that Plato seems to intuit the Christian teaching of man in his glorified state. For example, in the Christian tradition, there is never a time you are just a body—but there will be a time you are just a soul (after death and before the general resurrection). Moreover, even after you are united with your body for all eternity in heaven, the body, in Catholic thought, does not mediate the glory of God to the soul; rather, the soul receives God directly—not only does glorified man not use a body to know God but his body would be a hinderance, as he would then hold in his soul his thought of God and not God himself. In contrast, Aristotle seems right that our knowledge in this life comes through our senses, but this is not true in heaven—the latter is much more Platonic. As such, though Plato does not see man as essentially soul and body, his philosophical insights into who man is and why he is a soul should be taken seriously by any Christian who wants to understand his or her own tradition better. Alec stresses that Socrates downplaying the body here also has a pedagogical purpose in humbling Alcibiades' pride, which is very much rooted in his body and appearance. Athenian Stranger comments that First Alcibiades is the first discovering of “the self,” the soul; and, moreover, that an antecedent to this discovery is seen in Odysseus speaking to his own thumos in the Odyssey. Moreover, Athenian Stranger offers the trenchant observation that while a person may never be a body without a soul, that is how many people live—a life dedicated to the lower appetites, the pleasure of the body.15. What is the mirror of the soul (132d)?The eyes of lover are a mirror for the soul. The idea that we must look into the eyes of one who loves us to see ourselves is presented by Socrates as a profound method for self-knowledge. Dcn. Garlick explains: “if the body is going to know itself, what do you do? Well, I look into a mirror… clearly what we need then is a mirror to our soul… the first… mirror of the soul is the eyes of the lover, the one who loves you.” As Dcn. Garlick suggests, the dynamic goes beyond that of student-teacher and extends to other relations, like husband-wife and parent-child. Another profound aspect of this Platonic teacher is that it makes the pursuit of virtue, wisdom, and the good life a communal one. It is a stark contrast from Descartes' solitary introspection. We are social creatures—even in our pursuit of wisdom and ultimately of the divine.Athenian Stranger comments on the role of eros in philosophy and how it works on two planes: the eros between lovers, and...

Briefly we talk about how people like Pat Quinn ,one of the co-founders of the ALS ice bucket challenge are a source of inspiration for living a good life. https://mirageinfosec.cloud/https://open.spotify.com/show/4fkh04PPKFu8U41jBq12FHhttps://www.youtube.com/@coreyscorner480https://medium.com/@mirageinfosec
The Stranger's Conflict: Understanding the Inner Battle to Live Victoriously for Christ Do you want to please God, but feel frustrated and condemned when you fall short? Are you baffled by the urge you feel to do things you know are wrong?Do you feel a resistance from within to doing things you know are right? The Stranger's Conflict: Understanding the Inner Battle to Live Victoriously for Christ delves into the spiritual struggle every believer faces—the conflict between our calling to live for Christ and the reality of our human weaknesses. Drawing from the Apostle Paul's teachings, this book offers a profound understanding of why the conflict exists and how God's grace provides the path to purpose and victory. As believers, we often feel unworthy, battling guilt and self-condemnation, but The Stranger's Conflict reveals that God has already made provision for our ultimate recovery and restoration.Want to be a guest on Book 101 Review? Georgia's back in play, and this time it's John Ossoff's seat on the line. Everyone remembers how both Senate seats flipped blue in 2020, arguably the biggest down-ballot upset of that cycle. Now Ossoff is up for re-election, and while a lot of people in Democratic circles have high hopes for him, I'm not one of them. I think he's competent, but in a low-turnout election, he's vulnerable — especially against a Republican who can straddle the MAGA base and suburban swing voters. And the one guy who could have done that with ease? Brian Kemp. But Kemp says he's out. That opens the door to speculation — and apparently, to Derek Dooley. I didn't believe it at first. Dooley is a football coach. He's never held elected office, never coached a team in Georgia, and hasn't been politically active in any public sense. But people in Kemp's orbit kept saying his name. Supposedly, he's a close family friend. That's fine. It just doesn't make him Senate material. Especially not in a race where Georgia Republicans need a serious contender to take out an incumbent Democrat.Meanwhile, Buddy Carter and Mike Collins have both declared. Of the two, Collins has more momentum. People I talk to say Kemp World isn't enthusiastic about rallying behind Dooley, and they're not thrilled about having to realign with someone new. Collins could benefit from that vacuum — especially if he secures Trump's endorsement. And if Kemp doesn't step back in or offer a viable replacement, Collins may very well end up the nominee. The tension between Trump and Kemp adds another layer. These two have never been close — their feud goes back to Georgia's certification of the 2020 election and the high-profile primaries that followed. Trump tried to run challengers against both Kemp and Brad Raffensperger, and they destroyed them. So if Trump goes all-in on Collins, and Kemp World is still wandering around trying to sell people on Dooley, it's going to be a messy primary. But let's game it out. If Dooley fizzles and Collins gets hot, then by the fall, we might be looking at Mike Collins versus Jon Ossoff in a high-stakes Senate race. Collins will make Ossoff answer for the border, for crime, and for culture war issues like trans athletes — all while wrapping himself in the Lake and Riley Act. That law, named after a murder victim killed by an undocumented immigrant, is going to be the core of his messaging. It's brutal. It's effective. And it could work.Still, there's one wild card left: Brian Kemp himself. He made his announcement back in April, but if the economy is strong and the polling is tight come Thanksgiving, could he reconsider? Stranger things have happened. And Kemp is the only Republican in Georgia with a proven statewide machine, broad appeal, and a serious shot at clearing the field. If he's still lurking in the background, this race isn't over. In fact, it hasn't even started.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:03:40 - Georgia Senate Race00:20:32 - Update00:20:54 - Kamala Harris00:24:06 - South Korea Trade Deal00:26:24 - Trump's White House Ballroom00:28:07 - Interview with Josh Jennings01:18:15 - Wrap-up This is a public episode.
