What is this? A movie with a theatrical release? After the last few Amityville films we watched, we weren't sure that something like this would ever happen again. But here we are, with recognizable actors and a significantly bigger production budget than we have seen in some time. Once again, a family has moved into the Amityville House, only this time, the original book and movie are well-known cultural icons to everyone except for the family. At first it seems like it's all hype, but when the family's son suddenly awakes from a... coma? Persistent vegetative state? It's unclear. All we know is that he probably isn't alone in there. We'll talk about some big issues, like ableism and sexism. We'll also talk about cool middle school styles, pottery barn, tunics, and whether or not you pull a literal plug.

And... the Horror Junkies are back, well two of us are back this week. Austin and Angel had some things come up so it was up to Mike and Patrick to talk about what movies they would remake or create a sequel to if Hollywood, was to just give them a blank check and say go wild.  Which is probably the scariest thing you could do with Patrick and Mike. First, Patrick dives into the news surrounding the Horror world and was there a lot of it. We talked about Amityville The Awakening was pushed back once again, which in our opinion is great because they can just stop with that story line. Another awesome piece of news that has been floating around is that the Director of IT made the children on set cry. Sounds mean, but when you think about it, those tears need to be real to really capture the essence of fear. On a bit of a sad not M. Night Shyamalan Tales from the Crypt has finally been cancelled, which is truly sad because of the hype it was getting, but one door closes and another opens. It was announced that Midnight Society Returns for "Are You Afraid of the Dark" fan film for this Halloween.  Bringing up Halloween Horror Nights 27, the website has an image with a skull surrounded by roses and candles with the phrase "All Our Times Will Come", which make Mike think that the Host this year may be some variation of DEATH, but who knows. We will continue to bring more news and announcements as we get them. On this week's Versus we decided to dig up some graves and bring the dead back to the living. Two Masters of Horror were chose this week: Alfred Hitchcock and Wes Craven. Which we believe would be an epic battle of monsters styled like  Yo-Gi-Oh! duel and they would throw scripts of their monsters at each other until the other was cast into the Shadow Realm. The Twitter poll gave the fight to Wes Craven at 59% and poor old deteriorated Alfred Hitchcock with 41%, but if you know the Horror Junkies, we never go with our polls.  As usual send us feedback and tell us how we're doing, but most importantly... Welcome once again to Octoberama! For week three of this big event, we present you with the week of the werewolf. As such, we present you with two werewolf movies, namely Skinwalkers and Dog Soldiers. While vastly different, the two movies are also very similar in that they both feature lycanthropic monsters. We give our take on both and give them a rating. Before we can get to that, however, we have to take care of Horror Business. We start off with some real world horror, including a true-to-life Hannibal Lectar as well as the discovery of Draula's dungeon. We then move on to the world of fiction, but stick with Dracula as we discuss how Dracula Untold is going to be the springboard for a whole new Universal Monsters world. We close out the vampire section with a discussion about a remake of I Am Legend. We then move to discuss zombies, including The Walking Dead, the new Uwe Boll picture Anger of the Dead, the sequel to Zombieland, and updates on the movie adaptation of Dead Rising. We then discuss the future for the Soska twins, as well as the iOS game The Drowning. We move on to the return of the Twin Peaks, as well as updates on Amityville: The Awakening, The Purge becoming a trilogy, The Green Inferno, and Cannibal Holocaust. We close out with a ton of updates about the new Ghostbusters movie. So enjoy the new episode, and pray there's not a full moon. Aoooooooo!
