It's Friday, April 11th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus 60 Christians slain in Nigerian genocide On April 2nd and 3rd, Fulani Muslim terrorists killed more than 60 Christians in Plateau State, Nigeria in what the governor called a “genocide,” reports The Christian Post. Maren Aradong, a community leader, said the attacks were carried out against seven Christian communities in Bokkos County, including Hurti village, where more than 40 Christians were slain. He told Morning Star News, “More than 1,000 Christians were displaced [in Hurti] during the attacks, and 383 houses were destroyed by these bandits.” Pastor Ayuba Matawal, who ministers in the Bokkos area, added, “Many of these attacks result in mass burials. The sight of numerous corpses and the frequent need to conduct mass burials is something no minister wishes to experience, yet it has become our reality.” Matthew 25:41 describes the final punishment of these evil murderers. Jesus will say to those on His left, “Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the seventh most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Supreme Court rules Trump must bring El Salvadoran back to U.S. On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a judge's order requiring the Trump administration to facilitate the return to the United States of a Salvadoran man whom the government has acknowledged was deported in error to El Salvador, reports NewsNation. On April 4th, U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, an Obama appointee, issued an order that the White House “facilitate and effectuate” the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, in response to a lawsuit filed by the man's family challenging the legality of his deportation. What Trump thought during Butler assassination attempt On July 13, 2024, we all know that candidate Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania at a campaign rally. We know the shooter was 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks who fired eight rounds from an AR-15 style rifle from the rooftop of a nearby building. If Trump had not turned at the moment he did to reference a power point slide on the screen, he would have been killed instantly. Instead, in God's providence, one of the bullets only nicked his upper right ear. Salena Zito, a Washington Examiner reporter, wrote a forthcoming book, entitled Butler: The Untold Story of the Near Assassination of Donald Trump and the Fight for America's Heartland. She said, “I was just feet away the day history was nearly changed. My book dives into what happened, my conversations with Trump and how deeply it changed him.” Appearing on The Glenn Beck Program, Zito shared some information that was previously unknown. ZITO: “Before he said, ‘Fight, fight, fight,' I could see him. He says, ‘USA!' twice. He's still on the ground. And then I see him turn and get up and say, ‘Fight, fight, fight.'” BECK: “Wow!” ZITO: “And so we talked about that, and I said, ‘Why?' And he said, ‘Well, Salena, at that moment, I wasn't Donald Trump, even though I wasn't president yet again, I had once been President. “I had an obligation to show that the country is strong, that we will not be defeated, and that we are resolute. I did not want to be the symbol of America being weak." BECK: “Geez! That is in you. That is either in you or not in you. And it's in very few people!” White House cancels Social Security numbers of illegals The Trump administration is using a new tool to motivate illegals to “self-deport.” Their Social Security numbers have been effectively cancelled, reports The New York Times. The goal is to cut those people off from using crucial financial services like bank accounts and credit cards, along with their access to government benefits. In essence, the Trump administration is repurposing Social Security's “death master file.” For years, Social Security tracked dead people. Now, they want to include the names of living people whom the government believes should be treated as if they are dead. Being blacklisted in this manner would make it difficult to make money, and thus prompt the illegals to self deport. The initial names are limited to people the administration says are illegals who are convicted criminals and “suspected terrorists.” But officials said the effort could broaden to include other illegals as well. New York City tourist helicopter crashes into Hudson River A tourist helicopter, carrying family members from Spain, plunged into the Hudson River in New York City at 3:17pm Thursday, killing six, including three children, reports ABC News. WITNESS 1: “It sounded like a sonic boom on my right. So, I look up and literally, I see a helicopter splitting in two, with the rotor flying off in the sky. It was going so fast it just went straight into the water.” Agustin Escobar, an executive, his wife, Merce, and their children -- aged 4, 5, and 11 years old -- were killed in the crash along with the pilot, aged 36. The helicopter crashed just over 15 minutes after it departed from the Wall Street Heliport. The helicopter reached the George Washington Bridge before turning south and crashing. The 21-year-old helicopter, which simply broke apart over the Hudson, was on its sixth flight carrying tourists for the day. Please pray that God would comfort the grieving families of the pilot and the Spanish family on holiday. Texas whistleblower testifies about horrors of ‘transitioning' children And finally, Dr. Eithan Haim, who exposed pro-transgender malpractice at Texas Children's Hospital, testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday on what exactly he witnessed. He shared harrowing detail about the mutilation of these gender-confused children, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Listen. HAIM: “I understand and have seen the effects of what these blockers do, what these hormones do, and what these surgeries do. They are destroying the lives of these children. “They are putting them down a road where they become a chronic medical patient that they can never come back from, especially the surgical complications. I see these things all the time. So, could I call myself a doctor if I didn't speak up against it?” Proverbs 21:3 states, "To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” In 2023, Manhattan Institute journalist Christopher Rufo interviewed a then-anonymous former Texas Children's Hospital employee who said the hospital's pro-transgender activist, Dr. Richard Roberts, did not hesitate to prescribe cross-sex hormones and mastectomies to gender-confused children whose medical records indicated “serious mental health issues” including autism. That whistleblower, later revealed to be Dr. Eithan Haim, who just testified Wednesday, was indicted by the Biden Department of Justice, ostensibly for sharing confidential patient records in violation of HIPPA or the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. However, Dr. Haim had taken great pains to preserve patients' anonymity. Under Biden, Dr. Haim faced up to 10 years in prison! Thankfully, the case was dismissed soon after President Donald Trump took office in January 2025. Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, April 11th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Four of the guards gave up their lives, and one survived the attack. The team's pipe guns apparently deterred further carnage. According to the Observatory for Religious Freedom in Africa, the Fulani have been responsible for over 50,000 murders in the last four years. Italy prohibits homosexual couple from adopting Last week, the Italian parliament voted to ban international surrogacy, disallowing homosexuals from purchasing children for their own use or abuse. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni backed the law, which added to the current prohibition on domestic surrogacy. Italy has banned all adoptions to “homosexual” men and women. Spain, France, Germany, and Sweden have also banned domestic surrogacy, the terrible practice of women renting out their own wombs. The European Parliament voted in April of this year to include surrogate motherhood among the acts of human trafficking. Kamala's anti-Christian hostility vs. J.D.'s affirmation of “Jesus as King” Two political rallies in Wisconsin over the weekend involved members of the audience calling out “Christ is King! Jesus is Lord,” reports Fox News. Listen to what the Christian yelled out followed by Kamala Harris' dismissive and hostile response at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. AUDIENCE MEMBER: “Christ is King. Jesus is Lord.” HARRIS: “Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally! (cheers) No, I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.” Later, at a Trump rally, a member of the audience called out again, “Jesus is King!” Listen carefully for the comment that “Jesus is King” right after Vance states that there is something bizarre with Kamala Harris' anti-Christian approach to public policy. Then, take note of Vance's affirmation of that truth. VANCE: “There is something really bizarre with Kamala Harris's anti-Christian rhetoric and anti-Christian approach to public policy.” AUDIENCE MEMBER: “Jesus is King!” VANCE: “I don't think we've just, I don't think that we've That's right, Jesus is King. And I don't think that we've seen …” (cheers) Psalm 2:10-11 instructs the kings of the earth: “Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” Trump and Harris are running neck and neck As we approach the November presidential election, the polls have Donald Trump and Kamala Harris running neck and neck. The recent Suffolks University/USA Today poll puts the two candidates 50% to 49%, with Harris slightly ahead. The AtlasIntel poll puts Trump 3 points ahead. The Trafalgar Group has Donald Trump ahead by 3% in Pennsylvania, ahead 2% in North Carolina, ahead by 1.5% in Arizona, ahead by 2% in Michigan, and behind by 1% in Nevada. And recent Newsweek and Redfield and Wilton polling has found that Americans are placing a pro-abortion position as high on their list as they approach the election. In order of importance, Americans put the economy as the highest priority, abortion as the second highest, and immigration as the third highest priority. For Republican voters, abortion is the fourth most important issue, with only 21% choose this issue as high on their list. For Democrat voters, abortion is the most important issue, with 58% of likely voters calling this out as high on their list. Girl Scouts lost 1.5 million members over perversion push Membership in the Girl Scouts of America has dropped off to 1.5 million, down from 3.2 million in the 1970s. Practically speaking, this means they're losing money. Consequently, the national council has recently voted to increase dues by 160% over the next three years. Last year, the American Girl Scout added a special edition Pride Patch for girls completing homosexual-themed activities during the Pride month of June, when homosexuals dedicate themselves to proud displays of their licentiousness. Romans 1:26 and 32 explains, “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” Copy of U.S. Constitution sells for $9 million And finally, a 1787 copy of the U.S. Constitution was sold for $9 million at an auction in North Carolina last Thursday. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims shot two Christian men On August 4th, Islamic Fulani militants shot two Christian men in the Bokkos area of the Plateau State in Nigeria, reports International Christian Concern. The men, whose names are being withheld for their protection, are thankful to be alive. One of them said, “To the glory of God, we both survived.” David John, the medical director of the hospital where the men are currently receiving treatment, said the hospital's staff would provide them with the best medical care. Bokkos was one of three Plateau communities targeted by Muslim Fulani militants during the Christmas Eve massacre in 2023. In those attacks, more than 200 Christians were killed, including 148 people in Bokkos. According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the sixth most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. Harris leads Trump in 3 battleground states Vice President Kamala Harris leads former President Donald Trump in three crucial battleground states, according to new surveys by The New York Times and Siena College. This is the latest indication of a dramatic reversal in standing for Democrats after President Biden's departure from the presidential race. Harris is ahead of Trump by four percentage points in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, 50 percent to 46 percent among likely voters in each state. The surveys were conducted from Aug. 5 to 9. Trump: Kamala Harris not smart enough to hold news conference Despite her rise in the polls, Donald Trump does not think Kamala Harris is smart enough to hold a news conference. TRUMP: “She can't do a news conference. She doesn't know how to do a news conference. She's not smart enough to do a news conference. I'm sorry. Send letters to 6 imprisoned pro-lifers Pro-life rescuers either in or awaiting prison have made – and are making – gigantic sacrifices for practicing non-violent civil disobedience at abortion mills on behalf of their pre-born brothers and sisters. By giving up their emotional support networks of family, friends, and colleagues, these pro-life heroes are in danger of a loneliness that can be felt even – or especially – in a crowded prison cafeteria or yard. Some of them have been handed years-long sentences, reports LifeSiteNews.com. You can send letters to six of these imprisoned pro-life heroes through addresses you can access through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. You can send letters to Jonathan Darnel, Will Goodman, Lauren Handy, Heather Idoni, Jean Marshall, and Bevelyn Williams at their respective prisons. Even a 2-3 sentence letter, which would take no time at all, especially from your children, would lift their spirits. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “ Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up.” Please read the 10 tips for writing them and sign the prayer pledge for the pro-life rescuers facing a decade in prison. MacGyver-minded officer saves toddler And finally, from Kansas comes the story of a quick-thinking rescue that hauled a 14-month-old toddler from a would-be tomb at the bottom of a drain pipe, reports Good News Network. The terrifying ordeal was caught on camera and saw a Moundridge Police Department officer build on the spot a makeshift catchpole typically used for pulling varmints out of hard-to-reach places. Secured under his shoulders, the loop of rope at the end of the catchpole was able to lift the boy, named Bently, out from where he was trapped 10 feet down a section of 12-inch-wide PVC pipe that had been buried vertically. The parents said they called 9-1-1 just before 2:00 p.m. when they realized Bently had fallen into the PVC hole. Blake, the father's boy, described his emotions before the rescue to the local news station. BLAKE: “Looking down at him as he was screaming, he wanted out of there, he wanted help and you can't do anything. It's complete helplessness. It's horrifying, it's haunting, to feel so helpless, knowing that your child is in serious need of help.” When police, fire department, and EMS arrived at the family's home about 40 miles northwest of Wichita, Officer Ronnie Wagner had an idea. WAGNER: “I threaded some rope through a PVC pipe, tied a knot at the end of it so that it would slip, and we used it to wrap around under his shoulders here and lift him out of the hole.” Watch a video of the dramatic rescue through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. The toddler's father was deeply grateful. BLAKE: “It's a blessing and a miracle to have a First Responder that lives right behind us. There aren't words to express our gratitude.” Zephaniah 3:17 says, “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you … and will rejoice over you with singing.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, August 12th, in the year of our Lord 2024. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 70 Nigerian churches shut down over terrorist attacks Seventy Nigerian churches have been forced to shut down as a result of Muslim terrorist attacks back in December. The churches were part of the Church of Christ in Nations denomination. They were located in the country's central Plateau State and in the country's northwest region. Pastor Amos Mohzo is the president of the denomination. He told Morning Star News, “Our members were killed, people were killed, people lost their houses. … Most of these members of our church were displaced, and many of them are living in camps outside their communities.” Please pray for our Nigerian persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in the African country ranked sixth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most dangerous to be a Christian. In Psalm 94:3, 5, and 17, David asks, “LORD, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph? ... They break in pieces Your people, O LORD, and afflict Your heritage. … Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would soon have settled in silence.” Italian Prime Minister wants to prevent abortion Italy's Prime minister Georgia Meloni made headlines last month after she excluded abortion from the G7 summit declaration. While Italy legally allows abortion through the first trimester, she wants to emphasize the prevention of abortion. The summit included Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.K. and the U.S. Now, Italy's senate is considering a bill to support mothers. The Maternity Income Bill would support low-income women for the first five years of their child's life if they do not get an abortion. America's pro-abortion voters more committed than pro-life voters In the United States, a new Gallup survey found a record 32 percent of adults would only vote for a candidate for major office if they shared their views on abortion. Forty-five percent of voters say abortion is just one of many factors, and 19 percent say abortion is not a major issue at all. Forty-percent of self-identified pro-abortion voters say they will only vote for a candidate who agrees with them on abortion. Sadly, only 22 percent of self-identified pro-life voter say the same. Overall, 54 percent of Americans identify as pro-abortion and 41 percent as pro-life. Biden continues to lose support post debate President Joe Biden has ignored calls to drop his re-election bid after his poor debate performance against former President Donald Trump last month. Now the Cook Political Report says multiple swing states are moving toward Trump. The nonpartisan group moved Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada from “Toss Up” to “Lean Republican.” Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin remain “Toss-Up” states. David Wasserman with the Cook Political Report said, “The notion that the presidential [election] is a 'Toss Up' was a stretch even before the debate. Today, Trump has a clear advantage over Biden and a much more plausible path to 270 Electoral votes.” 10 years in prison for exposing transgender program? A Texas surgeon could face 10 years in prison for exposing a transgender program. Texas Children's Hospital claimed they had stopped the program after Republican Governor Greg Abbott labeled such procedures as child abuse. However, Dr. Eithan Haim leaked information last year showing that the hospital was still performing those mutilating procedures. The U.S. Justice Department indicted Haim last month. His legal defense fund has reached over $1 million. He told The Christian Post his ordeal has convinced him of God's providence. Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD.” Gallup poll: Fewer Americans have confidence in college education A Gallup poll found 36 percent of Americans have a lot of confidence in higher education, down from 57 percent in 2015. Thirty-two percent said they have some confidence which has remained about the same since 2015. And 32 percent also said they have little to no confidence in colleges, up from 10 percent in 2015. People lacked confidence in higher education primarily because of political agendas like being too liberal, too socialist, or too focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Happy birthday, John Calvin! (Audio of Happy Birthday song) And finally, this week marks the birthday of John Calvin. The Protestant theologian was born on July 10, 1509 in the French city of Noyon. Calvin started out as a brilliant Roman Catholic student before converting to Protestantism. Calvin would go on to be a leading theologian for the Reformation, devoting his life to preaching and writing that would influence Europe, America, and even the world. Yet, his personal motto was simply this: “My heart I offer to you, O Lord, promptly and sincerely.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Thursday, July 11th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Plateau State has been grappling with a series of violent attacks that have left many dead, displaced thousands more, and destroyed a lot of properties. Why is it so difficult to address these security challenges effectively? In this episode of Nigeria Daily, we seek to find out.
Regular attacks by men on motorbikes wielding AK-47 rifles have become a common occurrence in Plateau State in central Nigeria.People in the state are still reeling from the trauma of Christmas Eve attacks just over four months ago, when gunmen attacked 25 villages killing over 150 people.Over the years, the clashes have mostly been between Muslim Fulani herders from the north and Christian farmers in the state. The conflict however seems to have morphed into a complicated situation, with the authorities claiming there are some ‘political forces' fuelling it.The region is fertile and regarded as Nigeria's bread basket but insecurity has meant low food production with farmers not being able to go to the farms. In this episode of the Africa Daily podcast, Peter Musembi talks to Plateau State's Governor Caleb Mutfwang about what the authorities are doing and why the killings have persisted for so long.
April 14th, 2024, marks the passing of ten years since the militant Islamic group, Boko Haram, kidnapped 276 mostly Christian girls from a secondary school in the Nigerian town of Chibok, Borno State. According to a recently published BBC report, 91 of the abducted students remain missing today. During the past two years, 20 of the kidnapped victims were rescued from Boko Haram hideouts in the Sambisa forest, which is located in northeastern Borno State. However, recent reports indicate that some of the rescued women have decided to stay married to their captors. The state government's response to this situation has sparked outrage among the parents – including Yama Bullum, who was heartbroken to discover that his daughter, Jinkai, remains married to the militant who once held her captive. In this episode of the Closer to the Fire podcast, host Greg Musselman is joined by Rev. Margaret Adina. This Christian leader serves as the Director of Mara's House, a trauma centre for women and girls near Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. Rev. Adina discusses why some of these recently freed young women, who were teenagers when they were abducted ten years ago, are choosing to stay with their kidnappers. During her conversation with Greg, she also explains how traumatized Nigerian women and girls are receiving greatly needed healing and hope at Mara's House. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed 25 Christians Nigerian Fulani Muslim herdsmen, and other terrorists, attacked villages in the Plateau State at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th, killing at least 25 Christians, following the deaths of six others last week, reports Morning Star News. In a text message, Hosea Ibrahim said, “The invaders surrounded the village … and they shot at anyone they sighted. Twenty-five Christians, who were mostly women and children, were killed during the attack.” Why Senator Rand Paul opposes Nikki Haley's candidacy Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky is so philosophically opposed to Nikki Haley's GOP presidential candidacy that he created a new website – www.NeverNikki.net – exclusively devoted to his opposition. PAUL: “I'm announcing this morning that I'm ‘Never Nikki [Haley.]' And if you go to www.NeverNikki.net, you can let her know that you're not a supporter either. I don't think any informed or knowledgeable libertarian or conservative should support Nikki Haley. I've seen her attitude towards our interventions overseas. I've seen her involvement in the military industrial complex, $8 million being paid to become part of the team. “But I've also seen her indicate that she thinks you should be registered to use the internet. I think she fails to understand that our Republic was founded upon people like Ben Franklin, Sam Adams, Madison, John Jay, and others who posted routinely, for fear of the government, they posted routinely anonymously. So, I'm announcing today I'm ‘Never Nikki.' You can go to www.NeverNikki.net and sign up and show her that you're ‘Never Nikki' also.” Appearing on Tucker Carlson's Twitter show, Senator Paul shared more detail. PAUL: “It gets to me when I see people who I think care more about the borders of Ukraine than they care about our own southern border. I see these people every day because they're the entire Democratic caucus up here, but they're half of my caucus. Half of my Republican caucus is as we speak, ready to sell out, and they're ready to sell out fake border reform in exchange for what they really want, which is to send more of your tax dollars to Ukraine. “I think Nikki Haley fits right in that camp. I think she's from the [Senator Mitch] McConnell/ [Vice President] Dick Cheney wing of the party. And this is the antithesis of everything I believe in.” Trial begins for six pro-lifers targeted by Biden over peaceful protest The trial for six pro-life rescuers targeted by the Biden administration for peacefully protesting a Tennessee abortion mill back on March 5, 2021 began in federal court in Nashville on Wednesday, reports The Daily Wire. The pro-life activists are accused of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act for a protest that took place in a hallway outside of a Mount Juliet, Tennessee abortion provider. On that day, a group of demonstrators gathered on the second floor of an office building outside the innocuously named Carafem Health Center Clinic which is an abortion mill. The pro-lifers prayed, sang hymns, and urged women showing up to the clinic to not get abortions. Proverbs 24:11 says, “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” Eleven of the protesters were arrested for trespassing, at the time, after local police arrived and dispersed the crowd. In October 2022, the 11 pro-lifers were indicted by a federal grand jury after the Justice Department pursued charges against them. Unbelievably, if convicted, the pro-lifers could face up to 11 years in prison and $250,000 worth of fines. As the trial began, roughly 40 people sat in the gallery, including family of those on trial and multiple people who brought Bibles along. During the opening statement, the federal government accused the pro-lifers of plotting to “block doors to a health care clinic” and saying that the demonstrators planned on being arrested. Each of the lawyers for the pro-life defendants then had an opportunity to give an opening statement. Jodie Bell, Chet Gallagher's lawyer, said that the pro-lifers were peaceful and were only trying to convince pregnant women not to abort their unborn children. The other lawyers said that their clients never injured, threatened, or assaulted anyone during the protest. Steve Crampton, with the Thomas More Society, said that his client, Paul Vaughn, was an innocent man, and the protest was a “non-violent, peaceful exercise.” After the opening statements, the government called on Mount Juliet police officer Lance Schneider to testify. During his testimony, Schneider, who has been a police officer for 24 years, said that police were called to the scene because business was being disrupted. He said that the protesters were “not being violent” and were offering no physical resistance. Officer Schneider, who said he arrested four juveniles that day, noted that the Mount Juliet Police did not make any arrests for assault or fear of assault. After court adjourned, several of the pro-lifers on trial, and their supporters, gathered outside to sing the Christian hymn “All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name.” Overseeing the case is Judge Aleta Trauger, appointed to the court in 1998 by then Democrat President Bill Clinton. Snowboarding coach fired for affirmation of God-given gender And finally, a Vermont high school snowboarding coach, named David Bloch, was fired for stating that males are biologically different than females. He's filing an appeal in federal court after the school district denied his request for reinstatement, reports FaithWire.com. Bloch explained. BLOCH: “During downtime at a competition that involved the team with a male athlete, who identifies as a female, two of my players and I were sitting together at a table. The conversation turned to whether male athletes should compete against female athletes based on asserted gender identity. One student at the table, a male, said that he thought athletes should compete against males or females according to their sex rather than asserted gender identity. The other student, a female responded by calling him transphobic. “I then joined the conversation. I said that ‘even though I recognize that people may express themselves in particular ways, what matters most when it comes to sports is the very real differences between the sexes.' I pointed out that ‘an archaeologist might not be able to determine whether a person identified as a male or female, but he would be able to tell whether the bones had male or female DNA.' “Everyone remained respectful. And even though we may not have agreed, the female student thanked me for what she called a ‘good conversation.' Even though the school district seized upon that conversation to hand me my walking papers the very next day.” Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Friday, January 26th, in the year of our Lord 2024. During the week of Christmas, more than 240 Christians were murdered in Nigeria's Plateau State. The recent December 2023 massacre, referred to as “Black Christmas,” is only the latest in a series of attacks against innocent followers of Jesus. According to the Intersociety for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, an organization based in the southeastern Nigerian city of Onitsha, more than 52,000 Christians have been murdered in Nigeria since 2009. Yet, despite the staggering levels of violence, much of the world appears to be unresponsive to the plight of believers in Africa's most populous nation. In this episode of the Closer to the Fire podcast, host Greg Musselman speaks with Mark Lipdo, the Founder and Program Coordinator for Stefanos Foundation. Based in Jos, Plateau State, this Christian organization is dedicated to helping believers in Nigeria who are being persecuted for their faith. In this episode, we delve into the harrowing reality of Christian persecution in Nigeria. Our guest, Judd Saul, brings a wealth of knowledge and insight into the recent Christmas attacks in Plateau State, where scores of Christians were brutally massacred. As we unpack the details of these attacks, we explore the complex web of religious, political, and social factors that contribute to the ongoing strife in this region. Our conversation extends beyond the surface, examining the underlying causes of these attacks, particularly the role of radicalized groups and the response of the Nigerian government. Judd's firsthand experience offers a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by Nigerian Christians and the resilience they exhibit in the face of adversity. Judd Saul, an award-winning documentary filmmaker, family man, entrepreneur, and dedicated missionary, has been profoundly involved in Nigeria since a transformative mission trip in 2011 with his grandfather, Duane Wessels. Married to Sherry and a father to five children, Judd has witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by Nigerian Christians. He has committed over a decade to ministering in Nigeria, visiting 3-4 times annually. Recognizing the escalating attacks on Christians and the limited response from existing missions, Judd founded Equipping the Persecuted, a proactive organization supported by a team of experienced pastors, missionaries, and supporters. This organization focuses on both prevention and aftercare for persecuted Christians, establishing a local, effective response to the crisis in Nigeria. It's Thursday, December 28th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Muslim Nigerian terrorists continue to target Christians As we reported yesterday, armed Muslim groups killed dozens of people in Nigeria's central Plateau State over the weekend. The death toll has risen to nearly 200 now in the predominantly Christian area. The attacks started on Christmas Eve and continued through yesterday. Terrorists killed church pastors and destroyed hundreds of homes. A local resident told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News, “These terrorists who attacked these Christian communities were in the hundreds, and they carried out the attacks as the hapless Christians were preparing for Christmas programs lined up by their pastors.” Church leaders in Nigeria believe Muslim herdsmen are targeting Christians for their land and to impose Islam. Psalm 37:1-3 reminds us, “Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.” European Union limits migration The European Union reached an historic deal last Wednesday to limit migration into the 27-country bloc. The deal still needs to be ratified and comes ahead of EU elections next year. Polls indicate a rise in support for conservative, anti-immigration parties. Under the agreement, European countries at the E.U. border will have a stricter asylum process and more power to deport migrants. Immigration to the E.U. is down from its high in 2015 of over one million people, but has been steadily increasing since the pandemic era. British teacher in trouble for opposing perversion The United Kingdom's Teaching Regulation Agency recently ruled a Christian teacher was guilty of “unacceptable professional conduct” for opposing sexually perverted lifestyles. The ruling comes after a Church of England school fired Glawdys Leger for refusing to teach the schools homosexual and transgender lessons. Leger said she was relieved that the Teaching Regulation Agency did not ban her from the profession, but she warned, “The message from the TRA is that Christian teachers must not only be silent about their beliefs, but they must actively promote LGBT ideology or risk being severely punished and even losing their careers.” Trump remains on Michigan ballot In the U.S., Michigan's Supreme Court ruled yesterday that former President Donald Trump can remain on the state's 2024 ballot. This contrasts with a ruling from Colorado's Supreme Court last week that said Trump is disqualified from holding the office of president. It was the first time a court has disqualified a presidential candidate based on the insurrection clause in the Constitution's 14th Amendment. Michigan and Colorado have come down on opposite sides of an issue that is likely to head to the U.S. Supreme Court. Trump is facing ballot challenges in over a dozen states. Only 34 abortions in Texas in almost 9 months New data from Texas Health and Human Services shows 34 abortions were reported in the state between January 1 and September 15 of this year. That's down from over 20,000 abortions last year and over 50,000 abortions in 2021. Texas has increased its abortion restrictions since last year when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The abortion rate has dropped across states with abortion bans since the ruling. However, medication abortion, specifically the Abortion Kill Pill, is expanding. Fifty-three percent of mothers who choose to abort, abort chemically. Before the ruling, it was already the most frequent form of abortion. 51,000 people trusted Christ through Fellowship of Christian Athletes And finally, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes reports their ministry this year saw over 51,000 people turn to Christ. FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson told The Christian Post, “The best gift we can give and receive at Christmas is the gift of Christ, who came to Earth to save us and offer us all the free gift of salvation.” This year marks 69 years for the ministry as it continues its mission to lead coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. FCA now works in 115 countries. They also distributed over 230,000 Bibles this year, bring Bible distributions to three million over the last 15 years. Throughout the year, FCA staff have encouraged coaches and athletes to experience the reality that ‘the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world' (1 John 4:4). It's Wednesday, December 27th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Christmas Eve Nigerian Christian massacre Armed Muslim groups killed at least 96 people on Christmas Eve in Nigeria's central Plateau State. The attackers targeted twelve villages and burned over 200 homes. Another attack in the state on Sunday killed 16 more people. Christians in the area are under constant threat from suspected jihadists. Village Elder Yusuf Ibrahim told International Christian Concern, “We need more security in the community to celebrate Christmas very well. Yes, we are under attack by (radical) Fulani [Muslim] tribesmen. Pray for us.” Nigeria is ranked sixth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian. Over 50,000 Christians have been killed in the country's Central Belt region over the last 20 years. Cameroon Catholic bishops condemn sexual perversion In nearby Cameroon, Africa, Catholic bishops are taking a stand against sexually perverted lifestyles. A recent declaration from the bishops says, “Homosexuality falsifies and corrupts human anthropology and trivializes sexuality, marriage and the family, the foundations of society. … We therefore declare non-compliant any form of blessing, public or private, that tends to recognize ‘same-sex couples' as a state of life.” The African bishops are responding to a recent statement from Pope Francis that permits some kind of blessing for homosexual couples. 2 Peter 2:1 says, “But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.” African and Asian illegals crossing U.S.-Mexico border Speaking of Africa, illegal immigration from Africa and Asia to the U.S. is growing rapidly. Officials encountered 43% more migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border from outside Latin America and the Caribbean this year compared to last year. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is calling it “the highest level of mass migration since World War II.” Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson sent a letter to President Joe Biden last Thursday, calling on him to take executive action for border security. Johnson wrote, “Statutory reforms designed to restore operational control at our southern border must be enacted, but the crisis at our southern border has deteriorated to such an extent that significant action can wait no longer. It must start now, and it must start with you.” National Archives Museum tried to censor pro-life message Last week, pro-lifers won a $10,000 settlement with the U.S. National Archives. Back in January, participants in the 50th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. visited the National Archives Museum. Personnel there told them they had to leave unless they removed or covered the pro-life messages on their clothing. With the help of the American Center for Law and Justice, the pro-lifers were able to challenge the National Archives on religious liberty grounds. The legal group said, “Our victory today ensures that they will be free from harassment and that their First Amendment rights will be protected should they choose to visit the National Archives and view the very documents that protect those sacred rights.” America is constitutional carry of guns majority nation Fox News reports the U.S. became a constitutional carry-majority nation this year. NRA executive vice president and CEO Wayne LaPierre told Fox News Digital, “The gun control lobby and their allies pledged to dismantle self-defense laws and the Second Amendment. That strategy has backfired. In 2021, there were 16 states with NRA Constitutional Carry. Just three years later, there are now 27 states.” Last year ended with Georgia becoming the 25th state to allow citizens to carry a concealed firearm without a permit. Florida joined in March and was followed soon after by Nebraska. Many of the constitutional carry states are concentrated in the south and midwest. Christmas miracle: Arizona street preacher out of ICU after getting shot in head And finally, God blessed one Christian family with their own Christmas miracle. An Arizona man is making stunning progress after being shot in the head last month while street preaching. Twenty-six-year-old Hans Schmidt was rushed to the hospital, and doctors didn't give him much of a chance of surviving. Now, he is out of the ICU, but still not able to fully communicate. His wife, Zulya, said, “We're hopeful, and we're praying, and we're contending for a supernatural recovery. But there's just so much unknown still, so much uncertainty. It's Christmas Day, Monday, December 25th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Nigerian Christians mourn killing of teenager On December 20th, Muslim bandits allegedly killed 19-year-old Jude Nicodemus and severely injured two others in Plateau State, Nigeria, reports International Christian Concern. In addition, Fulani Muslim militants grazed cattle on other people's property and destroyed produce that was intended for use at Christmas. Matthew 7:18-19 says, “Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.” Iran threatens to close Mediterranean Sea On Saturday, Iran threatened that the Mediterranean Sea could be “closed” if the U.S. and Israel continued “crimes” in Gaza, reports Reuters. The Iranian government has showed support for Muslim terrorist group Hamas in its war against Israel, while the U.S. has strongly backed Israel — despite growing criticism of the Israeli military's war effort. It is unclear how Iran would follow through on such a threat, as the country has no direct access to the Mediterranean Sea and no major naval presence outside the Persian Gulf. Supreme Court sidesteps decision on Trump presidential immunity Steering clear of a political firestorm for now, the US. Supreme Court said Friday it would not immediately decide the key question of whether Donald Trump has broad immunity for actions he took as president challenging his 2020 election loss, reports NBC News. Without comment, the court denied, special counsel Jack Smith's request asking the justices to circumvent the normal appeals court process and quickly decide the question, which looms large in Trump's prosecution in Washington over allegations of election interference. If Trump were to win on this threshold issue, the charges would be dismissed. If he loses, the legal proceedings in the trial court would continue. Did Trump purposely use Hitlerian language? In a December 22nd interview with conservative radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt, former President Donald Trump defended his comments on immigration, while his critics accused him of using Hitlerian language for saying illegal immigrants are "poisoning the blood of our country" during a recent campaign rally, reports The Epoch Times. Listen. HEWITT: “Mr. President, you've also said illegal immigrants are poisoning our blood. What do you mean by that?” TRUMP: “They're coming in from Asia, from Africa, from South America. They're coming from all over the world. They're coming from prisons. They're coming from mental institutions and insane asylums. They're terrorists. “Absolutely! That's poisoning our country. That's poisoning the blood of our country. We have no idea who they are, where they are.” HEWITT: “Your critics say that you are using Hitlerian language that was used to dehumanize Jews by saying that ‘Jewish blood cannot be part of German blood.' Do you have anything like that in mind when you say ‘poisoning our blood'?” TRUMP: “No. And I never knew that Hitler said it either, by the way. And I never read Mein Kampf, [Adolph Hitler's book.] They said I read Mein Kampf.” HEWITT: “So, you intend no racist sentiment whatsoever when you say poisoning our blood?” TRUMP: “If you look at the polls, I'm doing incredibly with African Americans, I'm doing incredibly with Hispanics, the highest numbers anyone's ever seen for a Republican candidate. The reason is they know me. Look what I've done. Criminal justice reform. I got the black colleges and universities funded. Nobody else did that. Opportunity zones with Tim Scott. I got that done.” HEWITT: “Your critics keep saying, ‘Oh, he wants to be Hitler. He's talking about poisoning our blood. He's trying to be a Nazi.' How do you respond to these people?” TRUMP: “I know nothing about him. I'm not a student of Hitler. They say that he said something about blood. He didn't say it the way I said it either. by the way. It's a very different kind of a statement. What I'm saying when I talk about people coming into our country is they are destroying our country. We have prisoners coming in. We have mental patients coming in by the thousands. I believe that number will be 15 million people, maybe more than that, by the time this lunatic, [Joe Biden], leaves office.” Planned Parenthood arranging secret out-of-state abortions A new undercover investigative video reveals that Planned Parenthood in Missouri is smuggling minor girls across state lines to get them abortions in Kansas due to Missouri's abortion ban, reports LifeSiteNews.com. In the first segment of an investigative video series conducted by Project Veritas, Priscilla Jones, the receptionist at the Planned Parenthood in Kansas City, Missouri, asked how old the girl was. JONES: “How old is she?” JOURNALIST: “She's 13. Her parents don't know yet.” LaShauna, the Planned Parenthood Managing Director, added her thoughts. LASHAUNA: “Yeah, we don't do them [abortions] here. We don't know them in Missouri. It's illegal. But we do have, I can give you a packet of the two locations that do it in Kansas. They have people that will come pick them up?” JOURNALIST: “Really? That would be so great. Thank you.” Both Priscilla Jones and LaShauna underscored the ease of procuring an abortion for a minor across state lines without her parents' knowledge. JONES: “If you're trying to do without parents knowing, then you need to call because they need to do a bypass.” LASHAUNA: “They will bypass without the parents. You just have to make sure you tell them that.” JOURNALIST: “What is a bypass?” LASHAUNA: “Just not letting the parents know.” JOURNALIST: “Great. So, I can bring her?” LASHAUNA: “Yeah, you just have to call and just tell them the situation and they'll walk you through everything.” John 8:44 describes Planned Parenthood and its minions to a “T.” “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Great American Family channel honors God And finally, the older she gets, the more actress Candace Cameron Bure feels called by God to take on projects that align with her Christian faith and inspire the next generation, reports The Christian Post. In April 2022, Bure was announced as the chief content officer for Great American Family, a network the actress says puts God, family and country first, in stark contrast to much of the contact put forth by Hollywood, including the now pro-homosexual Hallmark movies. Bure said, "While not all of the films are faith-forward, you'll see that many of them have little hints of things that people do on a regular basis, like taking time to pray, whether it's praying before meals and before bedtime, or people just honoring God in different ways. Certainly, with our Christmas movies, we remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. The birth of a Savior is why we celebrate Christmas." Bure stars in the Great American Family's new movie, "My Christmas Hero," which pays tribute to the military. It's Monday, December 4th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed 7 Christians Last Thursday, Nigerian Fulani Muslim herdsmen and other terrorists killed seven Christians in attacks on two villages in the Plateau State, Nigeria, reports Morning Star News. In a text message to the paper, Yohanna Markus reported, “Fulani herdsmen, together with a group of bandits, attacked two of our villages, Puka and Dinter, at 1:00 a.m. where they killed seven of our Christian villagers. Aside from those killed, who include five men and a woman, many other Christians were injured and are currently being treated for gunshot wounds and machete cuts.” Shockingly, 5,014 Nigerian Christians were killed for their faith in 2022, the largest number of martyrs worldwide. It also led the world in the most Christians abducted – a total of 4,726, sexually assaulted or harassed, forcibly married or physically or mentally abused. And it had the most homes and businesses attacked for faith-based reasons. No wonder International Christian Concern lists Nigeria as the most dangerous country worldwide for Christians in their 2023 Persecutors of the Year report. Henry Kissinger advocated for global depopulation As The Worldview reported last Friday, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger died recently at the age of 100. Apart from his public role in U.S. foreign policy, Kissinger was a key leader in the misguided global depopulation agenda, reports LifeSiteNews.com. A 1974 National Security Study memo called “The Kissinger Report,” which was declassified in 1989, advocated for policies to drastically reduce fertility rates globally to combat so-called “overpopulation.” His plan became a reality a year later as President Gerald Ford signed National Security Decision 314. Furthermore, Kissinger was Klaus Schwab's mentor and helped him to found the globalist World Economic Forum. Shortly after the beginning of the COVID crisis in 2020, Kissinger called for a global “post-coronavirus order” and recommended a re-shaping of the global order similar to Klaus Schwab's plan, which was released later that year in his book COVID-19: The Great Reset. Psalm 127:3-5a declares, “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!” Pro-abort Justice Sandra Day O'Connor died Retired Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman to sit on the Supreme Court, died on Friday in Phoenix, reports CBS News. She was 93 years old. She had withdrawn from public life in 2018 after she was diagnosed with dementia. Despite having been appointed by then Republican President Ronald Reagan in 1981, she was the deciding vote, and one of three co-authors -- in the 1992 decision Planned Parenthood v. Casey which reaffirmed its landmark 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade, which had legalized abortion And O'Connor was also in the 5-4 majority in the 2000 case Bush v. Gore which effectively decided the election for George W. Bush. Congress expelled GOP Rep. George Santos of New York In an historic Friday vote, the U.S. House of Representatives expelled GOP Rep. George Santos of New York, reports NBC News. House Speaker Mike Johnson announced the results. JOHNSON: “On this vote, the yeas are 311, the nays are 114, with two recorded as present. Two-thirds voting in the affirmative, the resolution is adopted. (gavel sounds) The clerk will notify the governor of the state of New York of the action of the House. Under clause 5d of Rule 20, the chair announces to the House that, in light of the expulsion of the gentleman from New York, Mr. Santos, the whole number of the House is now 434.” His term in office was marred by revelations that he lied about pretty much everything. SANTOS: “I've seen how socialism destroys people's lives because my grandparents survived the Holocaust.” That was not true. On Fox News, Santos was pressed on his claim that he was Jewish. SANTOS: “My heritage is Jewish. I've always identified as Jewish. I was raised a practicing Catholic. I've always joked with friends, and circles in the campaign, I say, ‘Guys, I'm Jew-ish.'” Exodus 20:16 says, “Thou shalt not bear false witness.” REPORTER: “Is your plan to fully serve, stay in Congress? To not resign?” SANTOS: “Like I've said before, I'm staying in the office for sure.” But, after surviving two previous attempts to expel him this year, when a House ethics committee released a scathing 56-page report and a federal indictment charged him with 23 crimes such as wire fraud and money laundering, the writing appeared on the wall. Among the things he spent campaign funds on were rent, luxury designer goods, personal trips to Las Vegas and the Hamptons, cosmetic treatments, including Botox, and a subscription to pornography. He is now just the sixth person in U.S. history to be expelled from the House of Representatives. Three were ejected for disloyalty after they supported the Confederacy during the Civil War. Two others — Michael Myers, D-Pa., and James Traficant, D-Ohio — were expelled in 1980 and 2002, respectively, after they were convicted of federal crimes. New York Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul has 10 days to schedule a special election to fill Santos' seat. Ron DeSantis debated Gavin Newsom on Fox News And finally, last Thursday, Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom and Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis faced off in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Fox News' 90-minute "Great Red vs. Blue State Debate," moderated by Fox News host Sean Hannity, reports The Christian Post. Listen to DeSantis talk about the so-called freedoms in California. DeSANTIS: “Gavin Newsom, at one point, tried to say that California was the Freedom State. I just kind of laughed. You're locking people down and you're doing all this. And then I thought about it. “California does have freedoms that other states don't. You have the freedom to defecate in public in California. You have the freedom to pitch a tent on Sunset Boulevard. You have the freedom to create a homeless encampment under a freeway and even light it on fire. You have the freedom to have an open-air drug market and use drugs. You have the freedom, if you're an illegal alien, to get all these taxpayer benefits. “So those are freedoms. They're not the freedoms our Founding Fathers envision, but they have contributed to the destruction of the quality of life in California. And the results speak for themselves. People are leaving the state because they have failed in addressing the homeless population.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Monday, December 4th in the year of our Lord 2023. It's Friday, June 23rd, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Chris Galanek, sitting in for Adam McManus. By Jonathan Clark At least 700 Christians killed in Nigeria last month The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law reports at least 700 Christians were killed in Nigeria last month. Three hundred of the killings occurred over just three days in the country's north-central Plateau State. It's one of the bloodiest incidents of persecution against Christians in Nigeria. Since January, jihadists have killed over 2,000 Christians in the African nation. Nigeria is ranked sixth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian. Africa now the world's terrorism hot spot Speaking of Africa, the continent is now considered the world's terrorism hot spot. Counterterrorism experts met this week at the U.N. Headquarters in New York City. They reported half of the victims of terrorism were in sub-Saharan Africa last year. International Christina Concern noted, “The Christian population in Africa faces an exigent security situation as the capabilities and intentions of terrorist groups expand throughout the continent.” Psalm 14:4 says, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?” Biden administration loses abortion and transgenderism case In the U.S., the Biden administration lost its case to force Christian healthcare workers to support abortion and transgenderism. The administration missed a Tuesday deadline to appeal a federal court ruling in the case. The ruling protected doctors from participating in actions that violate their conscience. Luke Goodrich, vice president at Becket Law, said, “After multiple defeats in court, the federal government has thrown in the towel on its controversial, medically unsupported transgender mandate. . . . This is a win for patients, conscience, and common sense.” David Horowitz's ominous warning to America America's next presidential election could be her last. That's the contention of David Horowitz, the author of America's #1 bestselling new political book entitled Final Battle. He talks on today's Generations Radio show with guest host Adam McManus. He says the Democrats pose a deadly threat to our freedom. Their real goal is a one-party state. And they are willing to break even Constitutional provision, law, precedent, and procedure to see that it happens. McMANUS: “The third comment that Gary Bauer made about the indictment of Donald Trump: The depth of the corruption in our federal institutions in their politicization is breathtaking. No reasonable person can believe it is merely a coincidence that just as the FBI is forced to reveal a document that finally puts the corruption charges against Biden on the front pages, Trump is suddenly indicted with predictable results.” HOROWITZ: “Biden's family has been made rich beyond their wildest dreams. I just saw an estimated of $50 million in bribes from foreign powers that are hostile to us, starting with China. They're traders. This is treason. “Trump has created the largest patriotic movement in American history. And the Democrats are always trying to portray Trump as a traitor or as somebody who's trying to overthrow the Constitution. “On the contrary, the facts are very simple. Make America Great Again and America First: These are patriotic sentiments and policies and attitudes. The Democrats turn everything on their head, everything they do they project onto their opponents.” To hear Adam's entire 29-minute interview with David Horowitz, author of America's number one political bestseller Final Battle, go to Generations.org/Radio. Charitable giving experiences steepest drop since 2007 The Giving USA Foundation reports charitable giving in America decreased to $499 billion last year, down from $517 billion in 2021. Factoring for inflation, it was a 10% drop in giving, the steepest decline since the Great Recession of 2007-2009. Despite this, churches and religious institutions remained by far the largest recipients of giving last year. Gifts to religious groups totaled $140 billion dollars. The next highest recipients were education and human services, each at $70 billion. Utah school board readmits Bibles into schools and libraries And finally, a school board in Utah reversed course on Tuesday and readmitted Bibles back into schools and libraries. Last month, the Davis School District banned Bibles for not being “age-appropriate.” The decision met with significant pushback before being reversed this week. The issue arose after Utah passed a law last year that lets parents challenge “sensitive material” in pubic schools. Unfortunately, the law, intended to protect children from indecent material, was used as an unsuccessful attack on the Bible. Psalm 12:6-7 says, “The words of the LORD pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. You shall keep them, O LORD, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Friday, June 23rd in the year of our Lord 2023. The UN says that the month-long conflict in Sudan has displaced more than a million people so far, including a quarter of a million refugees. The fighting is intense in Khartoum, but areas like Darfur in the west are also on fire. And we hear about Nigeria's central Plateau State, where attacks earlier this week claimed at least one hundred lives. Some burials have taken place, but what are authorities doing to reassure people? Those stories and much more in this podcast with Hassan Arouni.
