The trailer, featuring music for the film by Nine Inch Nails, shows us what it will look like when the digital Tron world infiltrates the real world. The film stars Jared Leto and the cast includes Greta Lee, Gillian Anderson, Jeff Bridges, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Cameron Monaghan. The film marks a nearly 15-year gap since the last Tron entry.Colossal Biosciences has gene-edited a modern wolf species to re-create a new version of the extinct species used in fantasy lore such as Game of thrones, Dire Wolves. They are returning to the world after being extinct for more than 12,000 years. The first two new dire wolves, Romulus and Remus, were born in October. Marvel Studios officially cast the Fantastic Four, which they revealed in a Valentine's Day Instagram post. Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn is our Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach will portray Ben Grimm, and Pedro Pascal has taken on the role of Reed Richards. The studio also updated release dates for both Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts with Thunderbolts moved up to May 2, 2025, and Fantastic Four pushed back to July 25, 2025. Dune Part 2 held its world premiere in London last week, bringing several valuable nuggets of information to the surface in addition to showcasing some truly out-of-this-world fashion. Most surprisingly, Anya Taylor-Joy was in attendance, confirming her unknown participation in the sequel, while she disclosed her character to those in attendance, it has not yet been officially announced. Following the premiere, first reactions to the film hit the internet, with overwhelming positivity and praise, citing it as superior to the first installment and lauding it as a sci-fi masterpiece. Star Wars seems all in on video game expansion of the saga's lore this week, with developer of Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, Respawn Entertainment, reported to be in the early stages of creating a first-person Mandalorian bounty hunter video game. This news was coupled with comments from Cameron Monaghan, the actor who provides the likeness, voice and motion capture for Cal Kestis, the protagonist of Respawn's Star Wars games, who said he'd be open to portraying the character in live action under the right circumstances. Madame Web released in theaters last week and with a $26.2 million six-day haul, C+ CinemaScore, and a 13 percent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the reception across the board is downright pitiful. The performance is not entirely unexpected, as the film has been saddled with a laughable marketing campaign and disparaging comments from Madame Web herself, Dakota Johnson. This seems to mark a new low for high profile comic book adaptations. Oppenheimer dominated the 2024 BAFTAS Sunday evening, winning seven awards. Other notable winners include both Poor Things for Special Effects and The Zone of Interest for Sound. Judalina Neira(knee-ra), executive producer on season four of The Boys and Gen V, will write and produce a reboot of Bewitched for Sony. Joker: Folie à Deux director Todd Phillips posted 3 photos featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in character, also commenting that an official trailer for the Joker follow-up is expected in mid-April. Netflix announced the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy will begin streaming on August 8. Marvel Studios released the highly anticipated first teaser trailer for X-Men '97, a direct sequel to X-Men: The Animated Series premiering March 20 on Disney + Warner Brothers released a new trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, set to hit theaters on March 29. Amazon dropped a trailer for Season Two Part Two of Invincible, which consists of four episodes and begins streaming on March 14. A teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming Borderlands movie. The film, which is based on the popular video game series, stars Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Bobby Lee and is set to hit theaters on August 9th. A full trailer will be released on Wednesday. There is a lot of excitement around the rumor that Henry Cavill has signed on with Marvel Studios for an undisclosed role. Sony Pictures and Oscar-winning filmmaker Sam Mendes have set plans to make four separate films for theatrical release, one focusing on each member of The Beatles. The films will be interconnected and tell each band member's point of view. Mark Ruffalo clarified previous comments, telling fans he would in fact not appear in Captain America: Brave New World.

Signe Baumane is a Latvian born, Brooklyn-based independent filmmaker, artist, writer, and animator. She has made 17 award-winning animated shorts. Her first animated feature Rocks In My Pockets premiered at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2014 where it received a FIPRESCI Prize. The film went on to over 130 international festivals. It opened theatrically in the U.S. through Zeitgeist Films.  Signe's new animated feature My Love Affair With Marriage (2022) tells the story of a spirited young woman's quest for perfect love and lasting marriage. It premiered in June 2022 at Tribeca and has screened at over 90 festivals winning twenty awards. It was nominated by European Film Academy as Best Animated Feature. The film was released in the United States on October 6th, 2023, and stars an international cast notably including Matthew Modine, Dagmara Dominczyk, Cameron Monaghan, and Emma Kenney. The film, a Latvian - USA - Luxembourg co-production, took seven years to make and was financed with the help of 1,685 individual donors along with grants from many arts and cultural institutions. Signe is a Guggenheim Fellow and a Fellow in Film for New York Foundation for the Arts. Jason Aaron reboot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles De Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles krijgen opnieuw een reboot voor de kiezen. Dit keer niet op het grote scherm, maar het medium waar het allemaal begon: comics. IDW heeft al jaren een ijzersterke TMNT reeks lopen die het zowel kritisch als commercieel goed heeft gedaan, maar na 150 issues komt er een soft reboot aan. De nieuwe reeks wordt nu onder handen genomen door comic book veteraan Jason Aaron met vier verschillende artists aan boord. Wij kijken in elk geval reikhalzend uit naar deze nieuwe release, maar eerst wacht ons een nieuwe uitgave van The Last Ronin! Paramount luisterde naar alle feedback voor Halo Season 2 Pablo Schreiber, beter bekend als de Master Chief uit de Halo serie, deed de afgelopen week een perstour om het nieuwe seizoen van Halo te promoten. De acteur deed daarbij ook een boekje open over het eerste seizoen waar hij laat weten dat hij er alles aan heeft gedaan om de beruchte sexscene eruit te laten halen, de schrijvers wilden echter niet luisterne en dus stond hij er als acteur maar eenzaampjes voor. Ondanks het feit dat het eerste seizoen van Halo best wel een succes was, kreeg de show toch behoorlijk wat kritiek te voorduren. Schreiber laat weten dat er goed naar de feedback is geluisterd en hij vraagt fans dan ook om terug te keren en het tweede seizoen te beoordelen op wat het is. Alle Spider-Man referenties uit Madame Web gesloopt Madame Web lijkt regelrecht op een absolute box office flop af te stormen. De zoveelste middelmatige Sony Spider-Man Universe film lijkt op weinig enthousiasme te kunnen rekenen. Dat lijken ze zich bij Sony (en misschien ook wel Disney) waarschijnlijk ook wel gerealiseed. De studio heeft daarom tijdens de reshoots van Madame Web alle referenties naar Tom Holland's en Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man laten verwijderen. De officiele reden is dat de timelines van de karakters niet matchten, maar wij vermoeden dat het meer gaat om het niet nog meer beschadigen van het Spider-Man merk na het geflopte Morbius en de Kraven film waar niemand enthousiast voor is. Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes The Barbenheimer phenomenon catapulted both Barbie and Oppenheimer to the fourth largest weekend domestic box office showing of all time. Barbie pulled in $162 million dollars domestically and $344 million worldwide, making Greta Gerwig the first female director in history to achieve those numbers. Oppenheimer debuted to an $80 million dollar domestic showing and $174 million dollars worldwide, exploding the expectations. The two films are expected to continue to dominate the box office in the coming weeks as the end of the summer movie slate nears. San Diego Comic-Con was held July 20-23 and still offered exciting news despite the writer's/actor's strike in Hollywood. So we're gonna do a first on Multiverse News, A topic Specific Lighting Round. Cowboy Bebop director Shinichirō Watanabe's new Adult Swim series, Lazarus, promises some heavy action and themes. Ubisoft showed footage for a new open-world video game, Star Wars Outlaws. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will feature a musical episode, called Subspace Rhapsody, in August. In a trailer for yThe Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, we see lead actor Norman Reedus fighting zombies in France. Dead City has also been renewed for a second season. The highly-anticipated three-part series The Continental, a John Wick prequel series, will premiere on September 22. Alongside an official trailer, Amazon announced the second season of Invincible will debut November 3 with the first four episodes released weekly and the second group of four episodes to follow sometime in early 2024. A special feature for the character Atom Eve, is currently available to stream. A longer trailer was released for Netflix's live-action adaptation of the One Piece anime. The Borderlands movie will be released in August 2024 and is getting an interactive series called EchoVision Live. In the second trailer released for November's The Marvels, we see more of Zawe Ashton's villain and get a sense of how the team comprised of Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan will use their entangled powers to provide stabilization to the universe suffering from the aftereffects of unintended consequences. Fans may be disappointed to hear that Warner Brothers is already assessing the need to delay Dune Part 2, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and The Color Purple amid contentious negotiations between the writer's and actor's guilds with the studios. The studio's site the desire to have cast members involved in the publicity and premieres for the feature films, something that is not currently achievable with the ongoing strikes. Internet rumors are circulating among industry insiders that a Barbie spin-off film focusing on Ken starring Ryan Gosling is in early development. Cameron Monaghan, star of videogames Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor has closed a deal to join the cast of Tron: Ares. The Boys upcoming spin-off show Gen V has set its premiere date. The series will debut with its first three episodes on September 29. Weekly episodes will follow with the finale set to wrap up the season on November 3rd. The new teaser trailer shows the hilarious and occasionally gory lives of students at the superheroes-only school, Godolkin University. AMC Theatres has scrapped its plan to charge moviegoers more money for a better view of the screen.The company announced it is no longer moving forward with “Sightline at AMC,” a ticket pricing initiative based on seat location within the auditorium. The proposed system, which was announced in February, involved customers paying a few extra dollars for prime middle seats with an unobstructed view and saving a few bucks to sit in the front row.
