Do you ever feel like you're going round and round with the same issues? Have you ever wondered, " Why am I not more_____ by now?” Have you ever wondered why you struggle to be a “better” Christian? In this episode, I sit down with the inspiring Megan Fate Marshman to discuss her new book, Relaxed: Walking with the God Who's Not Worried About a Thing. Together, we explore the comforting idea of a God who remains steady in our anxieties, imperfections, and real-life struggles. Megan shares how letting go of self-reliance brings true peace. Our conversation focuses on the power of honest prayer and surrender, redefining anxiety as a place where God meets us. Megan and I share stories about how raw, genuine prayers can deepen our connection with Him. We encourage listeners to view prayer as a space for authenticity, where even our wandering thoughts can reveal what we need to bring before God. The episode closes with a touching reflection on experiencing God's love by bringing our true selves to Him. Plus, there's a special opportunity to win Megan's book-simply share this episode on social media and tag me @donnaajones. Hey Friend! It's back-to-school season, which means whether we have kids or not, our attention turns to children. Sadly, we look around our culture and see throngs of kids who aren't flourishing, they're floundering. Anxiety. Depression. Loneliness. Aimlessness. We don't want the children we know to struggle like this. So, what can we do? How can we help the kids we know (our kids and other kids, too!) become healthy, happy, caring, Christ-like adults? The answer (or at least a good part of the answer) is found in one simple verse that describes Jesus' own growth as a child. On today's episode I discuss how healthy human beings grow in four key areas, just like Jesus did: “And Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, favor with God, and favor with man.” (Luke 2:52) Join me as we explore how to be intentional in helping kids develop mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, teacher, or simply someone who loves kids, you'll find valuable takeaways to help you navigate the complexities of today's world with intentionality and faith. Hey Friend! Have you ever noticed that disagreements with our family members can escalate quickly? This week, I sit down with my oldest daughter, Kylie Jones Healy, to unravel the mysteries behind our emotional triggers. Drawing from insights in my latest book, "Healthy Conflict, Peaceful Life," we dissect the three primary reasons for anger: blocked goals, unmet desires, and perceived wrongs. Kylie opens up about how these concepts have helped her manage sibling squabbles over something as simple as borrowed clothes, shedding light on how understanding the root causes of anger can transform conflicts into opportunities for growth and stronger bonds. But it's not all serious talk—Kylie and I also delve into the lighter side of conflict resolution, highlighting how humor can be a powerful tool in diffusing minor tensions. We discuss the fine line between significant and trivial relationship issues and offer practical tips on identifying non-negotiables and fostering clear communication. Whether dealing with contentious co-parenting or everyday family friction, this episode offers valuable insights for maintaining healthy and connected relationships. Don't miss a single episode. Hey Friend! In honor of Mother's Day, I had a conversation with my mom, Carol Riley, and my daughters, Kylie Jones-Healy and Ashton Jones-Weber, three generations of women, who discuss living a life worth passing on. You'll be encouraged by my mom's wisdom–especially if your own relationship with your mom was less than ideal. You'll be inspired by what my daughters have learned from their “Grammy” on how to be a godly wife and mom. It's been said that a parent's ceiling is their child's floor. This should give us hope because no matter what our family of origin was like, we have the opportunity to build better and lasting ways of loving our family well. Our conversation bridges the generational divide, offering listeners a rare glimpse into the enduring legacy of prayer and its impact on shaping lives. The wisdom of previous generations echoes through our dialogue, inviting you to reflect on the spiritual beacons that guide your own familial bonds and the quiet strength found in the legacy we strive to leave. I hope this episode blesses you! Could overcoming jealousy and comparison truly transform your life? This is the second in a two-part series because, let's just be honest, most of us deal with comparison and the resulting backlash of jealousy, insecurity, defeat, and discouragement that comparison brings. Since comparison steals so much of our joy, I decided it's time to figure out what God instructs us to do about it. Spoiler alert: the last half of the podcast, where I unpack an insight from John 21, could very well change your life! As we navigate the complexities of our culture (and also simply being human!) I share some personal reflections and biblical insights that have been vital in my own life and those of many touched by my book "Healthy Conflict, Peaceful Life." Together, let's stride towards the freedom and peace of living a life centered on our personal missions, handcrafted by God. Oh…and if we haven't connected yet on social media, let's do it! Donna shares her story of grief where she walked through a season of death and grief. But then the Lord showed up in the valley of the shadow of death. Matthew 6:13 is where it all began for Donna on 6-5-23. She was reading in the book of Matthew….the God showed her this….. “And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one” She noticed that grief was becoming her identity and she was tempted to fall back into something she was never suppose “live in”. Grief is meant for us to “pass through” not “dwell in”. Donna said she felt God speak deep into her spirit, “it's time to get your JOY back!" Then the next day it continued with Psalm 51 “……..Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt……..wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me now let me rejoice……….Restore to me the joy of your salvation….” Donna was tempted to go back to Grief, Guilt, because it was all so familiar. Then she noticed at the end of the words “familiar” is LIAR! The LIAR was stealing the joy of her salvation. Immediately she felt the Holy Spirit come on her and she became free and the process of healing was ushering in the spirit of JOY! “I have joy back in my life again after a long period of time!!! Praise came back into my lungs after guilt kept my lips sealed”, says Donna Donna said that grief ushered in guilt because she was not able to save and fix the pain…it caused much anxiety and she realized it was cutting her very breath off!!! Grief when looked up affects your lungs!!! It's causes poison to set in and you can't live when poison is silently killing you!!! This podcast if full of the Holy Spirit. You are going to be so inspired. Let me know what you think. Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel and leave a review on apple and Spotify. Psalm 51:2 Oh give me back my Joy again!! powercoachjen.com Boundaries are so important. Sometime we struggle to set them and sometimes we go to the opposite extreme and put up stone walls. But if we are meant for community, how do we know where to draw the line and when to adjust the line? In today's episode, I'm talking to Professional Development Coach Donna Woodrow, who is also the Director of the Enneagram Prison Project in Australia. She shares with us how as a Type 9 she learned the hard way about setting boundaries and what she does now to keep herself in check. She also shares about how EPP uses the Enneagram to help transform lives on both sides of the bars through self-awareness, self regulation and self compassion. And in doing the work together… building a living community of Compassion and Grace. More on Donna:Donna is the other half of the Modo Coaching & Training Partnership, and also shares the duties of Managing Director. Having followed somewhat in her sister's footsteps, Donna has trained with some of the world's leading experts in the Enneagram, Meta-Coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Prior to "finding herself" Donna's career consisted of building databases and supporting the IT needs of global Fortune 500 companies. After spending over 10 years in the corporate environment and seeing firsthand the great potential and the challenges of human behaviour, Donna takes a genuine interest in the collective and personal growth of the human race and its individuals.Donna is a seeker who loves to travel and invests considerable time in her own personal growth. It's no wonder that she has travelled the world to train and be trained in a range of business and personal development areas. Donna believes strongly in the unlimited potential of all human beings and loves working with individuals who are not afraid to look deeply within themselves - and because she is aware of the courage it takes to look within, Donna provides a safe coaching space without judgement, whilst still keeping it real to support your growth.Self-identified as a Type 9 on the Enneagram, Donna is an accepting, reassuring and supportive Coach, and in the training room she is skilled at harmonising groups and bringing people together. In de muziekgeschiedenisboeken zie je er weinig van terug, maar de Amerikaanse popmuziek is blijvend veranderd door de muziekstijl van Joodse immigranten. Dan hebben we het over diverse hits als Bei Mir Bist Du Schön, Blue Skies, "Donna Donna, I Love You Much Too Much, My Heart Belongs to Daddy en "Summertime. Dat betoogt Niels Falch in zijn proefschrift, waarmee hij vandaag promoveerde aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. In die nummers zie je traditionele elementen als de sjofar (een ramshoorn) en een vrolijke mineur.

In this Broadcast, Donna Reish, blogger, author of 100 curriculum books for preschool through twelfth graders, seeker of health and fitness, and Intermittent Fasting teacher, talks about three steps that it takes to build belief and adherence to something in your life. In step one, she talks about how the initial step in adhering to anything is believing in what you are going to do. This first step is achieved by seeing it work for others (especially people you know and trust) and understanding the process well enough to think that it really could yield results. In step two, Donna describes how you must believe that YOU can make that protocol work! You have to believe that you have it within you to make this protocol work. You have to see yourself being successful with the plan. Lastly, you must put habits in place in order to become successful. You can’t just say that you want to do this or that. You must have the habits in place in order to become the person who succeeds. Every day. Every habit. That is how we adhere and persist in a successful program. Donna Donna gives tips for developing these habits—environment, consistency, habituation, and more. Lastly, Donna applies these steps to becoming fit through exercise. Welcome to the Women of Golf Show! Joining Cindy & I this week - Donna Henrich - Owner of Woods to Wedges - Club Repair and Fitting Studio. Here's a little about Donna: Donna has been in the golf business for over 40 years. Golf has not only been her career choice but a hobby as well. She began working, with her dad, Elma Meadows head professional John Henrich, as a golf shop assistant, doing everything from cleaning carts to running tournaments but always loved doing the club repairs. She was a member of the former PCS (Professional Clubmakers Society), and a Certified Class A Clubmaker. She has also helped to train PGA members in their club repair and fitting workshops, as well as taught clubmaking and fitting classes. She is a member of Tan Tara CC and The Fox Valley Club where, combined, she has held the Club Championship title 22 times. In 1974 her family started Woods to Wedges a retail store, which was located in Clarence, NY, for club repair and custom clubs. In 1994 Woods to Wedges moved into the Wehrle Golf Dome, combining with Golf Headquarters to offer the most extensive retail facility, club repair and fitting center in the area. In 2014 they built a club fitting studio where they fit golfers of all levels utilizing the Trackman for their wood and iron fittings and the Sam Putt Lab for their putter fittings.
