Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes While Marvel Studios allegiance to San Diego and Hall H seems to have waned in recent years, not so for last weekend's New York City Comic Con where our favorite cinematic universe teased the latest and greatest for their small screen offerings. Let's rundown the biggest headlines from Marvel Television:Wonder Man released its official teaser trailer alongside the announcement that the 8-episode series had been delayed from December 2025 to January 27, 2026Fans in attendance were treated to an exclusive trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, presented by Daredevil actor Charlie Cox who was reunited with Jessica Jones actor Krysten Ritter. The series was confirmed for a March 2026 release on Disney Plus and we also learned Wilson Bethel's Bullseye will return and Matthew Lillard will be an antagonist to Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin. Separate from NYCC, but still worth mentioning on the subject of Daredevil: Born Again, speaking with Entertainment Tonight Marvel TV Head Brad Winderbaum shared the season's connection to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, saying "We are communicating a lot with the team on Spider-Man: Brand New Day to make sure that there's coherence there. We don't want to spoil anything, but it very much exists in the same world and it is important."VisionQuest and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 were confirmed for Fall 2026 release windows, while X-Men '97 Season 2 was announced for Summer 2026. All three shows debuted exclusive trailers not yet released to the public and both animated series confirmed their third seasons to be in development. On the DCU TV side of things, Peacemaker Season 2 aired its final episode last week, and while we'll avoid getting specific with spoilers given the recency, when asked about a third season James Gunn did provide comments on the series' future and its impact on the DCU at large, saying, “This is about the other stories in which this [cliffhanger] will play out,” he said. “Never say never. But right now, this is about the future of the DCU.” Gunn also shared that he spoke with Ryan Reynolds about a Deadpool cameo in Peacemaker and that while the actor was interested, the logistics required to pull off the crossover were ultimately deemed too daunting.Despite Tron: Ares' number one spot debut at the box office last weekend with a $60.5 million global haul, the numbers are disappointingly muted when weighed against projections of $85-95 million and a reported $180 million budget. The film currently holds a 56% on Rotten Tomatoes and B+ Cinemascore.HBO revealed the debut trailer for Game of Thrones spin off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms at New York Comic Con last week and has announced a premiere date of Jan. 18.Bradley Cooper is in talks to star opposite Margot Robbie in the Ocean's Eleven prequel at Warner Bros. Twisters director Lee Isaac Chung is attached to direct with Robbie's Lucky Chap producing.Warner Brothers has announced that an untitled follow up to A Minecraft Movie will hit theaters on July 23rd, 2027. Jared Hess returns to direct and will write the script with Chris Galletta, one of the writers of the original.Disney has officially resumed development on a live action adaptation of Tangled. The project has The Greatest Showman's Michael Gracey attached to direct a script from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Scarlett Johansson is being eyed to star as Mother Gothel.Christopher Briney, one of the leads of Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty, has joined HBO Max's Emmy-winning comedy Hacks for its upcoming fifth season, which is currently in production.

On this episode of the MalloryBros. podcast, the Bros. start with a usual weekend recap. Terrance met our sister's new cat, and they both have thoughts on these new Wendy's Tenders. They then get into quite literally the most unhinged random debate about The Lion King you'll ever see, you should be thoroughly entertained. Next they talk the biggest news of the week: Drake losing his lawsuit with UMG over Kendrick Lamar's “Not Like Us.” The guys talk Drake's next move, Iceman, and if it was worth it. They then take a film turn, discussing "One Battle After Another" flopping at the box office despite rave reviews, what that means, and how it compares to Sinners. The Bros. move on to the new Game of Thrones spinoff and ask if they even care, touching on audience fatigue with short seasons and long waits between them. After a week where he seemed more passive about AI, Terrance gets tricked by an AI video and changes his tune. They then talk LeBron's Hennessy deal, and Terrell highlights the growing issue of too many Black millionaires selling us alcohol. A Lil Wayne conversation about changing his diet sparks a great talk about how people will hold you accountable to the patterns you create. They close out with football talk as Terrance's game is literally happening during the pod.

This week, Da7e and Neil return to your feeds to kick off their Derry era as they prepare for the arrival of Welcome to Derry on HBO at the end of the month. In The Calm [04:26], they discuss how the film was developed by Cary Fukunaga before ultimately landing in the hands of Andy Muschietti. They explore the adaptation choices that led to more of Bill Skarsgård's Pennywise ending up on screen, chart the timeline of the Derry's horrific history, and highlight what elements of the book were left out. Then in The Storm [01:15:38], Da7e breaks down the red band trailer for Welcome to Derry. A trip to the Trailer Park looks at a range of trailers, including Die My Love, the latest from Timothée Chalamet, in Marty Supreme, a trailer for the MCU's Wonder Man that left the guys wanting more, a new Game of Thrones series, and, of course, the Nerds' impressions of the official trailer for The Witcher Season 4. Also, New York Comic Con was this past weekend, generating all sorts of news relating to Daredevil Born Again Season 2, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and lots of speculation about how the two properties will cross over. Episode 209 of the What Are We Doing Podcast is pure chaos wrapped in brilliance. I'm talking glittery margaritas, fake grilled steak nuggets, Taylor Swift lies, and Post Malone losing control of Broadway—all in one episode. This week kicks off with me breaking down the $20 “Gold Dust Rita” from Dave & Buster's. It's a drink that costs more than a bottle of Tito's and comes with a literal glitter bomb. I explain why it's not just overpriced—it's a metaphor for your money dissolving in front of your eyes. Then we dive into Arby's latest experiment: Steak Nuggets. Yeah, you heard me. Steak. Nuggets. I go over how Arby's is now pretending to “grill” meat in a building that doesn't even have a grill and why their new TikTok heroes, “The Arby's Boys,” might be the best thing on the internet right now. Then, I reveal how Sheetz officially slid into my DMs after I called their chili cheese dogs the best in the game. They offered me another free shirt, but I'm shooting higher. I want the Sheetz Halloween costume. I offer to wear it for weeks if they send one. I'm one DM away from being the face of Sheetz Nation. We also talk about Taylor Swift's Life of a Showgirl release week. She broke Adele's record, but I break down how the interviews have turned into one long Travis Kelce fan club meeting. Fallon finally asked her why she turned down the Super Bowl, and her answer? “I'm in love with a guy who plays football.” Sure, Tay. That's strike one. Then there's Post Malone, who finally remembered he owns a bar in Nashville and decided to throw a surprise concert and pay everyone's tab. Naturally, 400,000 people showed up. It was less “grand opening” and more “mini-Coachella with free beer.”Finally, we wrap up with the trailer for HBO's A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the new Game of Thrones prequel. I break down why it looks awesome but also kind of pointless, because we already know none of the main characters can die. It's like watching Star Wars prequels—you already know the ending. And because this is the What Are We Doing podcast, we end with Donald Trump claiming he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for “ending the conflict in Gaza.” Spoiler alert: he didn't win. This episode has everything—drunk parking lot hacks, fast-food conspiracies, celebrity nonsense, and international comedy politics.Watch, laugh, and for the love of God, hit the Hype button on YouTube.

We'll critique divine command theory from a realist metaphysical framework and explores how Eastern patristic theology understood divine providence, justice, and redemption in relation to these narratives. Dr. Jacobs will dig into cultural practices of ancient Near Eastern peoples, the distinction between race-based genocide and practice-based judgment, and how concepts like Christ's descent into Hades inform a coherent theological reading of these difficult passages. All the links: Substack: https://nathanajacobs.substack.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thenathanjacobspodcastWebsite: https://www.nathanajacobs.com/X: https://x.com/NathanJacobsPodSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0hSskUtCwDT40uFbqTk3QSApple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-nathan-jacobs-podcastFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/nathanandrewjacobsAcademia: https://vanderbilt.academia.edu/NathanAJacobs00:00:00 Intro 00:00:19 Series context & the question 00:05:27 Divine Command Theory is not the answer00:38:13 A thought experiment about evil 00:41:05 Cultural examples: Game of Thrones & black death00:47:40 Lord of the Rings & the Orcs 00:51:48 Understanding the Amalekites00:56:20 What Genocide really means01:05:40 A horror movie scenario01:13:02 The story of Saul & Samuel 01:17:34 The story of Jonah01:26:08 Christ's descent and redemption 01:31:38 Death as gift and mercy01:35:08 The broader narrative context01:39:03 Addressing the epistemological worry

Frank and Jonathan catch up after a busy con season and dig into the biggest geek stories they've missed. We react to the Mandalorian & Grogu trailer and its old-school adventure vibe, talk through why a Game of Thrones one-two punch in 2026 could work (and where House of the Dragon still needs to land), and break down the first real look at the Wolverine game from Insomniac. We also map out what the Peaky Blinders movie and sequel series might cover, debate the point of The Simpsons Movie 2, and line up a sharp October watchlist. Plus: Jordan Peele's Him hits digital with bonus content, and we're giving away copies today. Timestamps & Topics 00:00–02:24 • Catch-up and con season recap (Crocker Con, LA Comic Con, highlight video) 02:24–11:08 • Mandalorian & Grogu poster + trailer reactions, practical effects, scale, IMAX plans 11:08–19:12 • Game of Thrones 2026: House of the Dragon S3 expectations, big battles, “movie-episode” idea; A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms tone and Dorne 19:12–23:21 • The Simpsons Movie 2: why now, scope, and what would make it worth theaters 23:21–29:19 • Wolverine (Insomniac) gameplay: combat feel, Omega Red stakes, Mystique story tricks, scent-tracking 29:19–39:51 • Peaky Blinders: WWII film setup, Tommy vs. fascism, the 1953 sequel series and what shifts after the war 39:51–40:23 • What we're rewatching: Invincible 40:23–40:51 • Ad: Jordan Peele's Him now on digital + bonus content 40:49–40:51 • Giveaway: Free copies of Him dropping on our socials today 40:51–48:14 • October Watchlist: Solar Opposites, Hazbin Hotel, Star Wars: Visions, It: Welcome to Derry, The Witcher's final season 48:14–52:18 • Horror picks, Tron rewatch plans, final recs (Reading Rainbow with Mychol the Librarian) Key Takeaways Mandalorian & Grogu looks like classic adventure cinema with modern polish, and the scale finally feels “Star Wars movie” again. House of the Dragon S3 needs payoff right away; A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms works best if it stays grounded and character-driven. Wolverine aims for weighty, tactile combat; villains like Omega Red can raise stakes by limiting healing. Peaky Blinders is set up for a strong WWII film handoff to a 1953 sequel series that explores post-war power shifts. The Simpsons Movie 2 needs a big, timely hook to justify the leap back to theaters. October TV is stacked, and It: Welcome to Derry has room to dig into the town-wide effects of Pennywise. Memorable Quotes “There's something about a Star Wars movie where the budget is just whatever they wanted to do.” “Make the season climb, then drop a theater-only battle movie the very next weekend.” “Star Wars tech feels bolted together in the best way. You can almost hear the click of every panel.” “He operates perfectly in the gray area where politics can't see.” “The best horror makes you think about it long after the scare.” Call to Action If you enjoyed this episode, follow and subscribe, rate us 5 stars, and share the show with a friend. Send us a textDaenerys continues her struggle to balance compassion with pragmatism, facing the horrors outside Meereen's walls, the humiliations of marriage politics, and stunning betrayals. With Darrio's return, the queen gives into her desires. Simon and Mackelly ponder whether such lust will make her stronger, or break her reign.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen rides out to witness the Astapori refugees beyond the gates of Meereen. The misery is staggering: starving families, corpses crawling with flies, and the sick defecating where they lie. She orders food distributed and bodies burned, but even as she tries to act mercifully, Ser Barristan warns that resources must be held for the siege to come. Grey Worm requests leave to bathe in the sea after the burning, revealing a religious rite of the Unsullied.Back in the city, Daenerys is reminded of her impending marriage to Hizdahr zo Loraq. The Green Grace and Reznak mo Reznak press her to endure the demeaning rituals required, including an intimate inspection by her groom's kin. She relents to some, knowing her legitimacy in the eyes of Meereen's nobles depends on it. She refuses once more to reopen the fighting pits herself but allows Hizdahr to do so after the wedding. Over dinner, Hizdahr reassures her that such traditions are relics of the past they can sweep aside together.Their talk is interrupted by Daario Naharis' arrival. He is wounded but full of swagger, bringing word that Astapor has fallen and Yunkai gathers a formidable host with new allies. Worse, the Second Sons and Brown Ben Plumm have gone over to the enemy. Daenerys feels betrayed, wondering if this is one of the foretold three treasons. She orders Meereen's gates shut and the defenses readied. Finally, she clears the room and tends to Daario's wounds. After getting a pledge of undying support from the sellsword, Dany succumbs to her lust.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Daenerys Targaryen - Last remaining descendent of the royal Targaryen line, Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, claimant to the Iron Throne of Westeros.Barristan Selmy - Former Lord Commander of the Kingsguard in King's Landing. Tara Erickson & Andrew Gordon return to Westeros as they react to and review Game of Thrones Season 1, Episodes 3 (“Lord Snow”) & 4 (“Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things”). Based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels, HBO's hit fantasy drama takes viewers deep into the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, where power, betrayal, and family honor shape the game of thrones itself. In Episode 3, “Lord Snow,” Ned Stark (Sean Bean – The Lord of the Rings, Troy) arrives in King's Landing to serve as Hand of the King, meeting the cunning Small Council including Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish (Aidan Gillen – The Wire), Lord Varys (Conleth Hill – Suits), and Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony). Jon Snow (Kit Harington – Pompeii, Eternals) struggles to find his place at the Wall, but with Tyrion Lannister's (Peter Dinklage – X-Men: Days of Future Past, Cyrano) guidance, begins to show compassion toward fellow recruits like Samwell Tarly (John Bradley). Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke – Terminator Genisys, Me Before You) asserts her strength in Essos as tensions rise with her brother Viserys (Harry Lloyd). Episode 4, “Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things,” expands the world further as Tyrion bonds with Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) after his fall, and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) shows his conflicted loyalty to House Stark. At the Eyrie, we learn more of the Lannisters' political machinations, while Daenerys takes her first true steps toward independence as a Khaleesi. The famous “broken things” speech between Tyrion and Bran highlights one of the show's recurring themes: outsiders finding strength in their differences. From Ned Stark's honorable path in a city of liars, to Daenerys' growing confidence and Jon Snow's evolution on the Wall, these episodes set the stage for many of the epic arcs that would define the entire series. We've all heard the promises of The Secret. If you think positive thoughts and raise your frequency, you can have, be, and do anything you want. But what happens when your nervous system is stuck in trauma and doesn't feel safe enough to receive? That's when manifestation stops working and survival mode takes over. In this episode of Food Heals, Allison Melody chats with Empowerment Strategist JJ Flizanes to explore the 4 survival states, how they block our manifestation, and how to move from trauma to transformation. Fight is when your body gears up to defend at all costs. Think Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games or Will Smith at the Oscars yelling, “Keep my wife's name out of your f--king mouth.” Flight is when your system tells you to run or avoid the situation entirely. Scooby-Doo and Shaggy bolting from monsters. Forrest Gump's iconic “Run, Forrest, run.” Meredith Marks  disengaging. Freeze is when you shut down, dissociate, or feel paralyzed. Think Ophelia in Hamlet, frozen and silenced by grief. Harry Potter stunned into stillness when Voldemort reappears. Fawn is when you abandon your own needs in order to appease or please others. Kyle Richards feeling guilty when Kathy has to apologize to her, Sansa Stark pledging her loyalty to King Joffrey in Game of Thrones just to survive. In today's episode, you will learn: Why traditional Law of Attraction teachings stop at the mind and miss the body How trauma and unprocessed emotions can keep you stuck in survival states Tools to shift from survival into safety so you can finally align with your desires The exact steps JJ takes herself when she feels triggered and needs to reset Listen now to discover how to move from survival mode into flow so you can finally create the life you have been vision-boarding. Send us a textIn this wildly entertaining episode of Nobody's Talking, the usual male-dominated atmosphere gets shaken up when two women – Jess and Queen – join the conversation, creating what the hosts jokingly call an "ebony and ivory" mix. The chemistry is immediate as this diverse group dives into subjects ranging from cannabis culture to the future of AI, all with the podcast's signature unfiltered approach. The cannabis discussion proves particularly enlightening as Queen shares her expertise in creating various THC products, from Sweet Potato Pie to tinctures. Her knowledge sparks stories from the hosts about edible experiences gone wrong, highlighting the universal warning that everyone ignores: "just eat half." These personal anecdotes lead to deeper conversations about the differences between today's cannabis products and "the reefer" of decades past. When the conversation shifts to entertainment, passionate debates emerge about Jordan Peele's films, with the group analyzing everything from "Get Out" to his newest release "Him." Adam Sandler movies become another hot topic, with "That's My Boy" receiving particularly high praise. The group's shared enthusiasm for "Game of Thrones" and "Ozark" reveals how these shows have become cultural touchpoints that bridge different backgrounds and experiences.Technology mishaps provide some of the episode's biggest laughs, particularly the story of someone airdropping inappropriate photos to an entire airplane. This leads to fascinating speculation about AI and robots, with Queen confessing she finds her AI assistant "better than my therapist." The group's musings about how close we are to living like "The Jetsons" shows their shared curiosity about the future.Regional differences add another layer to the conversation as Queen, who recently relocated from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area to Arizona, shares perspectives on everything from driving patterns to haunted attractions. Her stories about converted prison haunted houses from the East Coast have the Arizona crew reconsidering their local thrill-seeking options.Ready for more unfiltered conversations? Game of Thrones may have wrapped up on that streaming site, but for the Tudor-obsessed, it really never ends. Which brings Alicia to the run-up to the year 1553. King Henry VIII has been succeeded by his son with Jane Seymour, King Edward VI. Having taken the throne at the tender age of nine, the battle among the court's more ruthless players for a regent-like role is intense; the Seymour brothers, Edward and Thomas, and John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland, are constantly scheming against each other to advance their ambitions, which is all well and good until it becomes clear that the young King is not long for the world. This presents a world of trouble for the now-Protestant English court, because the next logical successor is Henry VIII's first daughter, Mary, an avowed and unrepentant Catholic like her mother, Catherine of Aragon. Desperate to head off her ascension, the Privy Counsel and King Edward (probably) revise the 15-year-old's last will and testament to put the throne in the hands of a Protestant cousin, Lady Jane Grey - by then the daughter-in-law of John Dudley. But England's Catholic population, sensing an opportunity to regain the status they lost when Henry VIII broke with The Vatican, isn't going to take the snub gracefully.
