The box office projections for James Gunn's 'Supergirl' is tracking somewhere between 'The Marvels' and 'Black Adam' -- both of which were considered flops. OOF. So no, adding more Superman to the trailers doesn't seem to be working. Then we talk about Milly Alcock's "Christian dads" comment. From alien parasites and nightmare fuel body horror to “Lyme disease from deer feces,” exploding Brendas, and Logan slowly becoming a real-life Slither monster during the episode… this might be our grossest review yet.

It's been nearly a year since the release of Superman, so what better time to catch up with Ma Kent herself, Neva Howell? In this special Between Takes episode of Missing Frames, Neva returns to the show to reflect on the whirlwind year following Superman's release, including the heartfelt reactions from fans who embraced her warm, grounded portrayal of Martha Kent. She shares stories about meeting Superman fans from across the country, discusses some of the comics and Superman stories she's been exploring lately, and opens up about what it's been like becoming part of one of pop culture's most beloved mythologies.Shawn and Neva also revisit some of the film's most emotional moments, including her and Pruitt Taylor Vince's (Pa Kent) reactions to the film's powerful final scene and why the Kent family dynamic resonated so deeply with audiences. They also discuss Neva's recent appearances on 9-1-1: Nashville, her upcoming film projects, and her excitement about attending this year's Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois. Spider Noir's New Trailer, DCU Changes, and a trailer for House of the Dragon Season 3Welcome to Multiverse News, your source for information about all your favorite fictional universes. The official trailer for Prime Video's Spider-Noir was released on Saturday during Mexico City's CCXP pop culture festival. In addition to showcasing our most significant looks at Nicolas Cage in the role, gumshoe Ben Reilly, alongside glimpses of villains Sandman, Electro, Tombstone and Brendan Gleeson's yet-to-be-named mob boss character, the trailer also emphasized the series availability to stream in true noir black and white, or color which they have dubbed “True-Hue Full Color”. Saturday's CCXP Mexico was also the site for HBO Max's unveiling of a new official teaser trailer for House of the Dragon's third season. In typical Game of Thrones fashion, the one minute 55 second teaser hints at power struggles and with high production value on display seemed to deliver on the cast members and showrunners promises of more battles, blood and, of course, dragons. It's been a little quiet on the DCU front outside of last week's Clayface trailer, but we now have multiple updates on multiple projects in the cooker, or perhaps not. First, James Gunn revealed that the DCU movie The Authority is no longer in active development. First announced in he and Peter Safrans' 2023 DCU announcements, Gunn said the film's script “wasn't there” and that it didn't fit into the larger DCU. And regarding the franchise's streaming output, HBO and DC temporarily removed the Lanterns trailer from all official platforms without explanation, possibly due to a music licensing issue with a Bruce Springsteen track used in the teaser; but the trailer is now live again with the song in question removed and added text indicating an August release for the series.Lionsgate's Michael set the record for biggest opening weekend for a musical biopic with $97M domestically and $217M globally, dethroning The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and surpassing the previous record held by Straight Outta Compton at $60.2M.Paramount has released the first teaser trailer for season 4 of Star Trek Strange New Worlds and announced a release date. The upcoming season premiere will debut globally on July 23. The 10-episode season rolls out weekly on Thursdays through Sept. 24Studios and streamers are currently bidding on a feature adaptation of the Battlefield video games which has Mission Impossible filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie attached to write and direct and Sinners star Michael B. Jordan attached to produce and possibly star.As the final season of Prime Video's The Boys comes to a close, the streamer has confirmed that spin off series Gen V will end with the previously aired season 2 and will not continue for a third season and that series prequel Vought Rising will debut sometime in 2027.AppleTV has announced that season 4 of Ted Lasso will debut on August 5th and have released a first look teaser trailer for the upcoming season.Laura Dern has joined the cast of season 4 of HBO's The White Lotus. In an interview with CinemaHub, Andy Serkis seemingly accidentally revealed that Iman Vellani is in Avengers: Doomsday. He told her “I can't wait to see you in Doomsday” to which she responded immediately “no you can't say that”

ABOUT GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2 The Guardians struggle to keep together as a team while dealing with their personal family issues, notably Star-Lord's encounter with his father, the ambitious celestial being Ego. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2 May 5, 2017 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2 Director: James Gunn Writers: James Gunn, Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning Cast: Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord Zoe Saldaña as Gamora Dave Bautista as Drax Vin Diesel as Baby Groot (voice) Bradley Cooper as Rocket (voice) Michael Rooker as Yondu Karen Gillan as Nebula Pom Klementieff as Mantis Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord Kurt Russell as Ego BRAN'S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2 SYNOPSIS It's Missouri in 1980. Peter's father Ego visited Earth and fell in love with Peter's mother and they wanna get married! Fast forward to the present and the gang's all here. Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and literal toddler Baby Groot. The GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY! They take a job from gold lady Ayesha to protect some batteries from a space squid monster, which they do, in exchange for Gamora's sister. But then Rocket immediately steals those same batteries because of course he does. CLASSIC Rocket. This leads to an all-out attack, a crash landing into a ship planet thing that just kind of appears, and the arrival of a mysterious shirtless dad: Ego. Surprise! He's Quill's father. Ego invites Quill, Gamora, and Drax to his planet, while Rocket and Groot stay behind with Nebula to keep an eye on her. Peter and Ego hash things out. He explains why he wasn't around but says he wants to be the father he always hoped to be now. Meanwhile, blue whistle boy Yondu is hired to track them down. Things go sideways FAST when Yondu refuses not to give up Quill location. He ends up being imprisoned with Rocket and Groot, but they escape with some wild arrow work. Back on Planet Daddy Issues, Ego reveals he's basically a god who's been planting himself all over the universe (red flag), having kids everywhere (bigger red flag), and murdering them when they don't have powers (biggest red flag). Oh, and he casually admits he gave Quill's mom a brain tumor. Cool cool cool. Quill snaps, the team reunites, and it becomes a full-on “let's destroy dad” situation. They head to Ego's literal brain at the planet's core, plant a bomb. The bomb goes off, Ego is toast, and Quill loses his powers in the process. But the emotional gut punch? Yondu sacrifices himself to save Quill, proving he was his real dad all along. we cry. You cry. Everyone cries. the Ravagers show up to give Yondu the send-off he deserved all along. And we get a thousand mid credit scenes and none of them matter. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? “You put Dawn of the Dead, Romero's, and Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later in the copy machine at the same time…” - Eric on this movie's vibeOn this week's episode Remake-ril kicks off on WHM and we're chatting about the pretty okay Zack Snyder feature debut, Dawn of the Dead! A reimagining of George A. Romero's zombified capitalist critique, Snyder brought the franchise into the 21st Century with a more action-driven, but still fun vision. Shouldn't James Gunn have written like, eight-to-ten fewer characters to jam in here? How amazing is Ving, as always? How eerie is that zombie baby? Could Mark Borchardt and Mike Schank have made a zombie outbreak documentary? And were we wrong about goofing on Richard Cheese all these years?
