Adam Friedland crashes the “Old Boys Club” and immediately starts showering the guys with compliments. From there it's a stories of Rob Schneider, Jerry Seinfeld, and a shared appreciation for Sarah Sherman. The conversation drifts into Adam's hidden talents and Jewish jokes that crush with audiences. Things briefly get philosophical about confronting politicians on podcasts and whether comedians should be treated like modern-day thinkers. Naturally, the episode returns to safer territory with the most important cultural debate of our time: Grown Ups vs. Grown Ups 2. Bill Maher welcomes Jerry O'Connell to Club Random with Bill Maher for a conversation that jumps from childhood fame to life in Calabasas. Jerry reflects on the unlikely moment that set his career in motion—when director Rob Reiner told the shy kid from Stand by Me to stop holding back and lean into who he was. That advice, he says, changed everything. From there, the two get into Jerry's marriage to Rebecca Romijn, the surreal experience of being married to someone once married to John Stamos, and the chaos of raising teenagers in Calabasas. Along the way they cover Kourtney Kardashian's parking etiquette, the Dean Martin school of zero rehearsal, and why ayahuasca is a hard no for both of them. Jeff Dunham is back and joins Adam for a wide-ranging conversation. They talk about how their careers have far exceeded their expectations and Jeff describes showing up to Los Angeles with 4,000 dollars and a trunk full of dummies. They then dive into Adam's recent phone call with Jerry Seinfeld about their viral “We Might Be Drunk” clips and then they follow that up with some old-fashioned car talk. They finish by talking about their old late night appearances. This was a blast. Tim Hawkins Websitehttps://timhawkins.netCletus Take the Reel Videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfs3BJZxKkc&list=RDZfs3BJZxKkc&start_radio=1The origins of comedy are rooted in ancient Greece, evolving from rituals and performances linked to festivities surrounding Dionysian celebrations. From there, comedy has evolved over the centuries to serve not only as entertainment but also as social commentary, allowing audiences to reflect on their society's follies and vices. So, in a sense, it became a way for people to laugh at the absurdities of society that was being marked by injustice and social change. In the late 20th Century, comedy became a staple of modern society as satire, farce, and stand-up comedy explored different aspects of human behavior and societal norms. If the aforementioned statements seem a bit high falutin', well, they are. Simply put, we all like to laugh at ourselves and the world around us. We know funny when we see and hear it. From early Vaudevillians to Bob Hope to Jerry Seinfeld, we all seem to gravitate toward someone who can bring out the mirth and merriment in us.Tim Hawkins is just that sort of person. Over the past three decades, the beloved comedian has gone from open mic nights at regional comedy clubs to headlining theaters and arenas across the United States with his own special brand of humor. A committed family man, Hawkins, who is known for his hilarious song parodies, has become a YouTube sensation over the years for “songs” like “Cletus Take the Reel” and “Pretty Pink Tractor”. Genuinely funny and values driven, he has a new comedy special debuting this month called “Fist Bump”.I recently sat down with the comedy veteran to discuss how he decides which real-life moments turn into comedy, why music plays such a vital role in his work, and why he didn't pick up a guitar or write a joke during COVID.

Joe Concha takes on the mainstream media's absurd spin following a terrorist IED attack at NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani's residence. He also breaks down Kevin O'Leary's warning about the mass exodus from highly-taxed liberal cities to Florida and unpacks President Trump's bold stance on a collapsing Iran. Later, best-selling author Buck Sexton joins the show to discuss his new book, Manufacturing Delusion, exposing the psychological tactics and propaganda the left uses to brainwash the public into political madness. Finally, Joe wraps things up with a "lightning round of idiocy" featuring James Carville's bizarre Epstein file comments, Stephen A. Smith's surprising preference for Marco Rubio, and Jerry Seinfeld's hilarious take on artificial intelligence. All of this is fueled by the hard-rocking sounds of the band of the evening, AC/DC! Bill Maher and Sam Harris go head-to-head on some of the most explosive issues of the moment — and neither pulls punches. Maher defends his dinner with Donald Trump while Harris pushes back hard, sparking a debate that expands into the left's blind spots, sex differences in sports, media narratives, and the influence of Joe Rogan and podcast culture. Then the conversation turns personal. Harris reflects on nearly losing his home in the Los Angeles fires, while Maher explains why anxiety spirals might actually be a meditation alarm. Along the way they touch on geopolitics, Tucker Carlson, Iran, and the strange state of modern media — proving that when these two talk, nothing is off-limits. Rock royalty is in the house. Billy Idol sits down with Bill Maher and nothing is off-limits. From snorting heroin backstage to smoking crack to kick the heroin habit (“it worked!”), Idol tells stories that would make most publicists quit on the spot. They swap sharp takes on Frank Sinatra being a drunk bully to his son, debate whether John Lennon could really hold his own without Paul McCartney and trace the Beatles' takeover of America. Idol reveals how a near-fatal overdose left him turning blue in a hotel room, how a brutal motorcycle accident became his real turning point, and why he now calls himself “California sober.” His new documentary is called Billy Idol Should Be Dead and after this conversation, you'll understand why he isn't. Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy! Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1893DM Leslie John reveals something fascinating about human connection: when you share your hopes and dreams with someone, it literally activates the pleasure centers of your brain. That's why opening up feels so good. But it's also why relationships get weird when the sharing only goes one direction. She tells a hilarious story about walking up to Jerry Seinfeld like they were old friends and immediately regretting it. It's the perfect example of how lopsided familiarity tricks our brains. Leslie breaks down the "dance of reciprocity" that builds real trust, where both people gradually reveal more and raise the stakes together. Lewis gets honest about spending years as an over-giver and people pleaser because he needed everyone to like him just to feel emotionally safe. Leslie reframes boundaries in a way that changes everything: every no is actually a yes to something that matters more. On the afternoon of December 14th, 2025, an eerie, uncharacteristic silence settled over 255 S. Chadbourne Avenue. On most days, the sprawling New England-style farmhouse in Brentwood teemed with life. You never knew who might walk through the front door …Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Betty White, Martin Short. Icons of the entertainment world were drawn there, lured by the home's storied past and its colorful owners: Rob and Michele Reiner. The first person to pull up to its towering iron gates that day in mid-December was no celebrity, but rather a massage therapist arriving for a 2 p.m. appointment. When no one answered, the masseuse reached out to Romy, the couple's 27-year-old daughter. Romy arrived just after 3:30 and moved through her childhood home with deliberate steps, that low-level worry turning into a cold, sharp fear. She searched room after room until she finally reached the primary suite. Romy pushed open the heavy doors and screamed at what she saw. There, on the bed she used to sneak into as a child after she had a bad dream, lay her father, the life drawn from his face, the cream-colored sheets stained a deep, unmistakable red. She didn't know it at the time, but her mother rested only a few feet away mercifully out of Romy's view. It didn't take police long to make an arrest. The suspect came as a surprise to the public but not to those close to the Reiner family. In this unexpectedly reflective Club Random episode, John Mellencamp admits he never listens to his own songs, sometimes forgets he even wrote them, and proudly calls himself "the biggest liar." He talks about growing up in Seymour, Indiana where, as he puts it, there was nothing to do but fight before the conversation widens to Farm Aid's hard realities, the limits of celebrity activism, and his surprisingly warm early encounters with Donald Trump, including a popcorn run at the 1988 Super Bowl. He also talks about his upcoming tour playing the hits some of which he's rarely, or never, performed live. But it's a parting thought that lingers longest: "A writer writes to what he aspires to be, not what he is." Bill's still thinking about that one. The concept of the "20-mile march," a principle that prioritizes relentless consistency over the common trap of erratic intensity, comes under McKay's scrutiny this week. He demonstrates how this disciplined approach allows individuals and organizations to outperform their peers by focusing on steady progress regardless of external conditions.Drawing on historic Antarctic expeditions and Jim Collins's research, McKay highlights how a fixed daily quota provides the durability needed to survive the "long middle" where most people quit. He examines the creative habits of Jerry Seinfeld and John Grisham, illustrating how a commitment to "not breaking the chain" transforms volume into the appearance of inevitable talent. By analyzing the restraint of Warren Buffett and Southwest Airlines, he explains why setting an upper bound on growth is just as vital as meeting a minimum target. Ultimately, the 20-mile march reduces emotional load and builds a quiet form of confidence by turning discipline into a core identity.Main Themes:Consistency as the primary driver of 10x successThe "Don't Break the Chain" philosophy for professional masterySurviving the "long middle" through predictable rhythmsWhy restraint and upper bounds ensure long-term durabilityTurning discipline from a chore into a core identityReducing emotional load through the 20-mile marchThe Grisham Method: The power of a single daily pageWhy getting back down is more important than reaching the summitConsistency over intensity in volatile marketsBuilding trust in oneself through reliable actionTop 10 Quotes:"The disciplined team survived; the reactive team did not.""Moving to action despite circumstances makes all the difference.""What looks like talent from the outside often turns out to be volume filtered through discipline.""The 'don't break the chain' approach did not make Seinfeld funny; it made him inevitable.""The march carried him through the long middle, the place where most people quit.""Restraint matters as much as effort.""You stop seeing discipline as effort and start seeing it as who you are.""Getting to the top is optional; getting down is mandatory.""The 20-mile march is not about ambition; it is about durability."Show Links:Open Your Eyes with McKay Christensen

Art Marketing Podcast: How to Sell Art Online and Generate Consistent Monthly Sales
Chris Rock performs 50 times in a room of 50 people before he ever steps on a Netflix stage. What if you applied that same system to your art business? Most artists post their work and hope someone buys it. That's like walking on stage at the Apollo with untested material. In this episode, I break down exactly how the best stand-up comedians in the world test, iterate, and refine their material — and how that same system tells you what will sell before you even create it. Plus a 10-week challenge to put it all into practice. In this episode: How Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, and Kevin Hart develop material (and what artists can steal from their process) Why social media is your open mic night — not your gallery wall The 6 types of posts every artist should rotate (the "set list") How to read the room: what saves, shares, and silence actually mean Permission to bomb — why your worst post is more valuable than no post 6 tactical marketing moves disguised as comedy club techniques The 10-week challenge: from open mic to your Netflix special This episode builds on everything from 2026 so far: your story (Ep 1), your one metric (Ep 2), your AI context files (Ep 3), your story prompts (Ep 4), and the Coffee Shop Test (Ep 5). If you've been following along, this is where it all comes together. Welcome back to AthCastMusic. I'm Marlene Sokol Stewart and this is my Podcast. Today's episode is a really special one for me. My guest is someone I don't just admire, but someone I genuinely call a friend.Lisa Mende is one of those people in Athens you don't forget the first time you see her. In fact, when I first spotted her around town, I remember thinking, Who the f— is that? The hair, the clothes, the creative presence that made me wish I were just a little braver in my own wardrobe choices. But what really began our friendship wasn't the fashion. It was a conversation we had at one of those classic, infamous Athens parties. We started talking about being Jewish in the South, about living in Athens, about the special community of Athens, GA. Lisa is open arms to her community and friends. Not feeling well, I left another one of those parties. Lisa looked at me and said, very firmly, “You better call me if you're in the hospital.” I did in fact end up in the hospital and within an hour, Lisa and her husband Michael were there, plant in hand, love in tow. I still have that plant. I'll never forget that kindness. Now, if you recognize Lisa beyond Athens, there's probably a reason. She's part of television history as the unforgettable Carol on Seinfeld. If you're a real Seinfeld fan you know the words, , “Jerry, you've got to see the bay-bee!” a line that die-hard fans still absolutely lose their minds over. But that's just one chapter.Lisa has worked in film, television, and comedy, appearing in movies like Hollywood Shuffle, Scrooged, Nothing to Lose, The Five Heartbeats, and Honey, I Blew Up the Kids. She started out in stand-up comedy, running in the same circles as Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David.Eventually, Lisa made the bold decision to leave Hollywood behind to give her daughter a more grounded life—and Athens, Georgia became home. And true to form, she didn't just move here… she took Athens by storm. She founded the Circle Ensemble Theatre, emcees just about everything in town, and created the non-profit Artist2Artist, that supports underserved members of our community through fundraising and performance. And at the heart of it all is her family. This conversation is funny, heartfelt and nostalgic.I'm so happy to finally have Lisa Mende on AthCastMusic.Let's get into it.AthCastMusic (©): The Music of Athens Georgia, Now and ThenSEASON: 5 EPISODE: LENGTH: 41.09PUBLISHED: February 19, 2026UPDATED BI - WEEKLY ON THURSDAYS (some Fridays)ENGINEER: KAYLA DOVERUGA MUSIC BUSINESS SCHOOL INTERN: RAYA ACKLEHRECORDED AT TWEED RECORDING AUDIO PRODUCTION SCHOOLhttps://tweedrecording.com (https://tweedrecording.com/)Photos by Marlene Sokol StewartProducer: Marlene Sokol StewartCONTACT FOR ATHCASTMUSIC:marlene@athcastmusic.comInstagram: AthCastMusicFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550294283019YOUTUBE CHANNEL: AthCastMusic. @MarleneSokolStewart-12IG: ATHCASTMUSICLISA MENDE INFO:IG: lisa_mende_actor. Hour 4: Tommy is happy that Jerry Seinfeld recently followed him on Instagram. Pauly relates it to the time he was interviewed by US Weekly about Seinfeld in 2024. Tommy then talks about Giancarlo Stanton's comments from earlier in the day about the Yankees off-season.
Bill Maher sits down with actor Cary Elwes for a freewheeling conversation that starts with hair jokes and quickly becomes a masterclass in craft, including the moment Al Pacino changed Cary's life with a simple “work the muscle” speech. They take on Hollywood's gun obsession, Olivier vs. Brando, Kubrick's genius (and excess), whether 2001 is transcendent or a sedative, and why A Clockwork Orange still ignites debate decades later. Along the way: Braveheart, Scarface tattoos, and Catholic guilt. They cancel hell, roast John Wick, and somehow land on the idea of Pacino as God in Purgatory. Episode #114 – With Rabbi Bob Alper – They Really Let You Do That? Fun conversation with Bob Alper, world's only practicing rabbi/stand-up comic (really). We talked about his start in comedy, the Jewish comedy of the year contest, totally clean comedy and much more. From Bob: Key Message / Core Story: Maya Angelou wrote that people forget what you say, and they forget what you do, but they never forget how you make them feel. My calling – and my rabbinate – is trying to make people feel good, whether through my formal performances, often before hundreds, or when I encounter someone checking papers and licenses at a car rental lot. I enter their lives for a few moments and hope to lift their spirits through my humor. There's a reason why Sirius/XM satellite radio plays Rabbi Bob Alper's comedy bits many times daily, often sandwiched between Bob Newhart and Jerry Seinfeld. Bob's background – he served large congregations for fourteen years and holds a doctorate from Princeton Theological Seminary which prepared him well for a thirty-five year comedy career with delicious material presented in a way that's intelligent, hilarious, and 100% clean. The New York Times put it succinctly: Bob "…had the audience convulsing." From Hollywood's IMPROV to The Montreal Comedy Festival to Toronto's Muslimfest (really), Bob's unique brand of humor has a universal appeal. Get more info: https://bobalper.com/

Where do we get those wonderful toys? At the wonderful toy store, of course. It's something like the FAO Schwarz toy store but it has electronics. Comedian and Podcaster Adam Carolla joins Bill Maher for a blunt conversation that moves from Hollywood war stories to California's political dysfunction. They unpack the reality of entertainment careers—how early wins create false confidence and why setbacks are unavoidable. Carolla revisits his early breaks with Loveline and The Man Show, while Maher reflects on losing his father just before Politically Incorrect took off. The conversation then widens to identity politics and DEI backlash, overregulation and government bloat, discipline versus Ozempic shortcuts, and how Carolla's emotionally distant upbringing shaped his independence and worldview—before giving way to classic Club Random humor, from Pop-Tarts to Elvis and strip-club metaphors. NFL legend Marshawn Lynch joins Bill for a conversation that bounces from football philosophy to strip club etiquette. Marshawn shares stories from his playing days, how Ray Lewis read him like a book his rookie year and the mental chess game that separates Hall of Famers from everyone else. They clash over Damar Hamlin's on-field collapse and whether that game should have been canceled: logic vs. emotion, fans vs. optics. From there, the conversation swerves into classic Club Random territory, as they bond over Barbra Streisand fan mail, Ricky Williams as weed's original martyr, locker-room backstabbing, why some franchises stay perpetually broken and what scared Marshawn in Bill's bathroom — let's just say, we're all family now. Most companies don't have a marketing problem — they have a response problem. In this episode of WINNERS FIND A WAY, Trent Clark sits down with direct-response master John Dwyer to unpack why incentives, personalization, and execution still outperform brand-only marketing — and how even small businesses can scale fast without massive budgets. About the Guest John Dwyer is a world-renowned direct-response marketer and Founder of The Institute of Wow. His work spans global brands like Disney, McDonald's, Kellogg's, Hilton, and challenger brands that needed fast, measurable growth. He's also known for his legendary campaign that featured Jerry Seinfeld for an Australian financial institution — built not on branding fluff, but bold response-driven strategy. John's philosophy is simple:
Bill Maher sits down with filmmaker Dan Farah to discuss his documentary "Age of Disclosure" about UFOs (sorry, UAPs!) and government cover-ups. Dan reveals what high-level intelligence officials told him on camera about crash retrievals and non-human beings. They debate everything from ocean-dwelling alien crafts to Steven Spielberg's prophetic filmmaking, why Mars is a terrible vacation spot, and whether getting probed is really as common as '90s pop culture suggested. Bill weighs in on whether Trump could be the one to announce “we are not alone” (with some very real concerns about optics), while also battling a stubborn Zippo lighter that may or may not need alien intervention. Jerry Seinfeld returns to the garage for a classic Porsche extravaganza! The guys cover Jerry's insane 10-year 907 restoration, review his 1979 Porsche 928, debate modern Japanese cars, and talk about his HBO project with Larry David. ______________________________________________
Bill Maher sits down with Dana Carvey and David Spade – together – for what feels less like an interview and more like eavesdropping on two flies on the wall… plus Bill. The longtime friends riff on Saturday Night Live war stories, the brutal math of stand-up (bombs, hecklers, benefit shows), and the slightly unhinged psychology of chasing laughs for a living. The conversation zigzags through classic films, old Hollywood, celebrity politics, and the strange new podcast economy. Funny, profane, nostalgic, and sneakily thoughtful – it's three comedy legends talking shop after hours, with no one trying to win the room. Support our Advertisers: -Make hiring a little merrier! On Club Random Classics this month, Bill revisits his conversation with Seth MacFarlane – and it's packed with sharp jokes and great stories. They talk about animation, fame, getting away with more when you're a cartoon, and a few wild moments from their past – including singing together for Jay Leno. They also touch on social media, A.I., and how their views have changed over time, with plenty of laughs along the way. This episode originally aired December 29, 2023. My client Ralph said something that threw me off. He thinks I don't care what anybody thinks about me. That couldn't be further from the truth. I care deeply. Maybe too much sometimes. But I also know that if I keep showing up and doing my thing, the rest takes care of itself. It's not about ignoring feedback. It's about staying consistent with who you are. And that reminded me of a backstage conversation I had with Jerry Seinfeld back in 1986 that changed how I approach everything. His secret? Never break the chain. Featured Story Back in 1986, I got a call from an event promoter. Could I introduce Jerry Seinfeld and do a warmup set? Free dinner, bar tab, and hangout time with Jerry? Obviously yes. The show hadn't hit yet. Jerry was still touring, living on the road, wearing himself out. We had a great conversation backstage. I asked how he manages to keep going. His answer was simple. "I write every day. I put a big red X on the calendar. Eventually there's a chain of X's. My goal is never to break the chain." Years later, I've done 14,000 podcasts using that exact principle. Consistency wins. Important Points • Consistency beats talent when talent doesn't show up - just keep doing it daily and the average people fade away. • You don't need permission or approval to get good at what you do - just show up and put in the repetitions daily. • Your only competition is yesterday's version of yourself - focus there and opportunities will find you naturally. Memorable Quotes • "If you want to be good at anything, you're going to have to do it a lot, truly a ridiculous amount of repetitions." • "Get good at what you do and just keep doing it every single day. You can truly do anything with that approach." • "Average people will fade away. Your chance will come if you show up consistently every day and never break the chain." Scott's Three-Step Approach • Decide what consistency looks like for your goal - three days a week, daily, whatever works, then commit to it. • Show up and do it every single day regardless of how you feel - put the X on the calendar no matter what happens. • Keep the chain going until the compound effect kicks in and average people naturally fade from your competition. Bill sits down with award-buzzed actor Joel Edgerton for a sharp, funny, and moving conversation that jumps from Hollywood absurdities to deeply personal truths. They dig into Edgerton's career-defining performance in Train Dreams, and why stories about ordinary people, loss, and resilience can hit harder than any superhero spectacle. Edgerton opens up about early struggles and the love that carried him through, while Maher shares a bizarre first “job” as an unqualified bodyguard for a South African diplomat's kids. Along the way, they talk about how Australian actors seem to be quietly running Hollywood—and that most American accents these days were probably learned in Sydney watching Leave It to Beaver. Hey, it's Dave Jackson here! In this episode, I'm diving letting you see why patience and persistence matter more than anything else in podcasting (and, honestly, in most creative pursuits). We've all been spoiled by the microwave mentality (wanting quick results and instant gratification) but the real success stories are built over years, not weeks.I kick things off with the story of the microwave's invention as a metaphor for how society craves instant results, then flip the script to talk about why that approach just doesn't work in podcasting. What Does it Take to Be Known? You'll hear me break down the journeys of big names like Morgan Freeman, Samuel L. Jackson, Harrison Ford, Bryan Cranston, Lucille Ball, and even musicians like Bonnie Raitt and Andrea Bocelli—all of whom pushed through years (sometimes decades) before their “big break.” Yes, even Adam Sandler and Jerry Seinfeld had plenty of failures, awkward moments, and years of grinding before the world knew their names. I share how their experiences relate directly to podcasting, and why embracing your own style and sticking with what you love can make all the difference. You Need To Be More Than "Good"I also talk about the importance of consistency, cross-promotion, knowing your audience, and making your content “remarkable”—the kind people just have to talk about. I share how Seinfeld didn't become a household name overnight, and how even my own podcast journey has been about slow, steady growth, not big, sudden leaps.Plus, I get into listener engagement strategies, word-of-mouth tactics, and why you should appreciate the connections and opportunities podcasting brings, from new friendships to dream gigs. And yes, you'll hear a little power rant about the NFL's approach to consistency (or lack thereof)!Because of My Podcast Lou MongelloFinally, I wrap up with plenty of listener “because of my podcast” stories, examples of how podcasting opens doors you never imagined, and a reminder that there's nothing stopping you from growing your show except your own willingness to put in the time and effort. If you want to get inspired and set the right expectations for your own podcast journey—or just need a reminder that you're not alone in the slow grind—this episode is for you. Dana and David welcome Teri Hatcher for a candid, funny cruise through it all: she tells the wild story of tagging along to a Love Boat audition—and booking the role over her best friend—shares what she splurged on when the money finally hit, and opens up about dating and how she's finding her way into comedy. Teri explains how Lois & Clark made acting feel like a real career, drops stories from hosting SNL and leading Desperate Housewives, and—true to form—jokes about feeling like a “hick,” having an “average vagina,” and why her boobs are “real and spectacular” (even if Jerry Seinfeld isn't convinced). This episode contains description of addiction, eating disorders and discussion of suicide. Our guest today is the pioneering comedian, actor and activist Margaret Cho. She began performing comedy as a teenager, opening for Jerry Seinfeld at just 14, before becoming one of the most influential stand-ups of her generation. Now in her 50s, Margaret reflects in this episode on the cancellation of her groundbreaking sitcom, All-American Girl, and the surreal "miscalculations" of a network that hired consultants to ensure she was "doing Asian right". She speaks candidly about the "mind f***" of being told she was "too fat to play herself", which triggered a dangerous spiral into disordered eating, 90s diet drugs and eventual kidney failure. She opens up about a suicidal near-death experience that she was initially too afraid to admit even to herself - and about the intervention by friends that finally led her to sobriety. This conversation explores shame, rage and the life-saving importance of humour. Because, as Margaret says, sometimes laughter can be the thing that keeps you breathing. ✨ IN THIS EPISODE: 00:00 Introduction 04:37 Childhood Reflections 06:59 Political and Social Commentary 10:43 The Sitcom Experience 18:35 Body Image and Health Struggles 26:13 Legacy and Influence 26:54 The Struggle with Diet Culture 28:34 Embarrassing Moments on Stage 32:10 Family Influence on Weight Issues 33:22 Seeking Help and Therapy 34:05 Childhood Abuse and Its Impact 37:27 Battling Drug and Alcohol Addiction 43:09 Intervention and Recovery 46:51 Finding Hope and Happiness
Actor/comedian and sitcom star Tim Allen drops by for a free-wheeling talk that veers from the unglamorous truths of RV life (yes, waste management) to UFOs, ancient pyramids, and everything we still can't explain. Along the way, he and Bill swap comedy scars – bombing on The Tonight Show, the mystery of timing, and why some jokes are doomed – while touching on Tim's run as TV's ultimate put-upon everyman. Allen also gets personal about 30 years of sobriety, the odd romance between comics and cars, and why private planes are both essential and deeply absurd. Loose, funny, and unexpectedly thoughtful – two veterans dropping the act and just talking. Every friendship has an origin story, and for John Stamos and Bill Maher, it starts with a near-fight in the '90s that somehow took 30 years to resolve. The two clear the air over booze, VIP access, and bruised egos before diving into Don Rickles' fearless comedy and why it wouldn't survive today. Stamos shares a moving story about seeing Sinatra perform with his father, bonds with Maher over MacArthur Park, Jimmy Webb lyrics, and their shared obsession with classic music, and trades wild stories about the Beach Boys, Springsteen, Broadway, and the challenge of staying relevant without losing yourself. Somewhere along the way, Uncle Jesse shows up — just long enough to remind everyone this is, in fact, a very full house.
