Jill is happy to welcome listeners back for the second part of her conversation with trauma-informed master coach Sarah Failla! (If you missed last week's episode, you can still go ahead and listen to this one now and go back and listen to part 1 later.) In the first part, Jill and Sarah had a fascinating conversation filled with twists and surprises, and they talked about topics such as faith, personal growth, and why Sarah ultimately left organized religion. Sarah and Jill also discussed internal family systems, also known as parts work, which they continue to talk about in this part. They explore parts work in depth and even explore Jill's own parts as an example of what Sarah's process looks like. Their conversation highlights how understanding these inner parts can lead to profound personal growth and healing, with Sarah and Jill engaging in a revealing exploration of Jill's own parts, including a protective "monster" and a vulnerable inner child, uncovering how these aspects have influenced her choices and self-perception. They discuss the importance of acknowledging and integrating these parts to move beyond past traumas and current challenges. Listen in to gain a deeper understanding of how parts work can offer new perspectives on personal development and emotional healing. Whether you're new to parts work or looking to deepen your practice, this discussion offers valuable insights and practical examples! Show Notes: [03:25] - What is parts work? [04:54] - Jill identifies some of her own parts. [07:18] - Hear how Sarah recognized that past experiences, like feeling controlled as a child, can influence present behavior. [09:39] - At 45, Sarah feels her age by connecting with her inner child and integrating past experiences into her present self. [11:15] - Sarah highlights the importance of understanding and healing the parts of ourselves that may be causing current issues. [14:22] - Jill reflects on the sadness of always being the one to invite others and connects it to her childhood desire to escape her unsafe and embarrassing home. [17:55] - Jill feels anger and protectiveness toward her younger self and struggles with the intense emotions that surface when she tries to connect with her past. [19:31] - Jill felt a powerful, protective part of herself emerge as an almost monstrous presence when reflecting on her anger. [21:35] - Recognizing the development of her "mama bear" instinct, Jill understands it as a protective force that formed after childhood trauma. [25:10] - In reflecting on past relationships, Jill identifies that she sought out unhealthy partners unknowingly searching for a sense of protection she felt she lacked. [28:35] - Jill's protective part emerged after a traumatic experience in college which helped her leave an abusive relationship and empowered her to recognize her worth. [30:43] - Jill acknowledges that her protective part is no longer needed in the same way and envisions it as a friendly, supportive presence. [33:25] - Jill finds this experience powerful, despite her tendency to second-guess her reactions and insights. [34:42] - Sarah emphasizes interconnectedness, helping clients recognize their parts. [37:06] - Sarah has calmed her own parts, highlighting the complexity and impulse-driven nature of parts work. [39:51] - Sarah makes note of Jill balancing hosting with inward reflection, relating to her own over-explaining tendencies. [42:50] - Everything is interconnected; parts work blends with inner child work. [44:05] - Sarah recommends Mary Magdalene Revealed and No Bad Parts as key books for self-discovery. Re-visited on the Feast Day of Mary Magdalene with author and 'rebel theologian' Meggan Watterson - 'I will teach you what is hidden from you.' So begin the lessons from the Gospel according to Mary Magdalene. Extensively researched by feminist Theologian Meggan Watterson, where the story can now unfold around the mystery of Mary's unique relationship with Christ and the implecations of that for humanity. In this interview we talk about how the book came about and the truth inside her heart & the devotion of becoming the woman who could write it, plus: pilgrimage to the South of France Divinity college what happened to Mary's gospel and why? incorect label as a prostitute first witness after the resurrection, not an accident 'the treasure is in your heart'. The presence of love that wants to commune with us connect directly to our inner divinity, our Christ within rebellious act to recognise this who preserved her gospel? inner listening to the wisdom of the heart, the 'child of true humanity' fully human and fully divine meaning of the 'nous' word - not French! the danger of a populus receiving the power of the heart, less easy to control the BIG question about Christ and Mary Magdalene what is blasphemy? Meggan completes by leading us through the potent Soul Voice Meditation. I remember this powerful time in the final months of my HomeFree Life in the New Forest UK, where I was tending the vegetable garden, with this book, 'Mary Magdalene Revealed' on audible, spoken by Meggan

The incredible and inspiring Meggan Watterson is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of Mary Magdalene Revealed and the international bestselling author of The Divine Feminine Oracle. She is a feminist theologian with a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School and a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University. She leads online courses and retreats on Mary's gospel, the Christ Movement, and the soul-voice meditation. Her work has appeared in media outlets such as The New York Times, The Huffington Post, TEDxWomen, and Marie Claire. Learn more at megganwatterson.com. This is her second time on the podcast and the first episode is all about Mary Magdalene and Meggan's book Mary Magdalene Revealed. I just love her new oracle card deck and the The Mary Magdalene Oracle is about a vision of radical love that formed long before Christianity became a formal religion in the 4th century, long before Mary's gospel was excluded, destroyed, and buried. It's a vision of humanity as a beloved community that risked their lives to recognize each other as equals—innately worthy of love, no matter their status within the Roman Empire. And it's about a vision that Christ gave Mary to then give to us, then and now—to see less with the ego and more with the eye of the heart. In this extraordinary oracle with original artwork that honors human diversity as well as Mary's historical origins in the Middle East, Harvard-trained feminist theologian Meggan Watterson leads us through Mary's long-lost secret teachings to integrate the profound love that her gospel reveals into a daily spiritual practice. Two of the most popular books amongst New Age spiritualists are the “Conversations With God” series and “Mary Magdalene Revealed.” CWG was transcribed via automatic spirit writing in claiming that the author was communicating with God – essentially creating an updated biblical manuscript, whereas MMR is based off the verifiably false ‘gospels of Mary Magdalene,' written by a feminist, gnostic theologian. In this episode, Angela goes through each of the books, debunking some of the most prominent beliefs in each of the two with a true biblical framework. The prayer with this episode is to hopefully reach those who currently subscribe to these books – that they may have the scales fall from there eyes in recognizing how these two books are sinful, depraved, counterfeit versions of God's ACTUAL Truth. - Angela's Instagram: @angelamariescafidi - Ways to Support the Show:
Welcome to season 2 of the enLIFEned podcast! To kick off a new season I am sharing the sh!tshow that was 2023 for me, which included a conscious-uncoupling (or a breakup as the lame kids say!), a Mary Magdalene retreat in the south of France, coupled with an absolute nightmare of an experience in Paris with my Mum prior to the retreat and afterwards. In this episode I share my deepest feelings that I've never shared before when visiting the cave of eggs in Sainte-Baume in France, how Mary Magdalene had come to me during a medicine ceremony the previous year and I wasn't ready to work with her and then what unfolded for me to go on this trip. I also share details around the breakup I went through and how we made our uncoupling a sacred and soulful experience and I openly express all of the beautiful lessons I've learnt along the way!The books I refer to in this episode are:Mary Magdalene Revealed by Megan Watterson and Mary Magdalene Beckons: The Messages by Mercedes Kirk To know more about the work that Jen does, head to the website: www.jenhamilton.coach Don't forget to follow your host, Jen, on Instagram at www.instagram.com/jenhamiltonofficial and the podcast at www.instagram.com/enlifened_podcast This podcast is for educational and entertainment purposes only. This week … let's talk about how to access the creativity, nurturing, and empowerment of the divine feminine, through Goddesses. It's important because – it's about balance, the world is very masculine focused. Healing cultural and societal wounds is deeply nurturing to everyone. It increases confidence. Also, creativity is the basis for innovation. You probably want to be connected, creative, and receive more because you've been too focused on action and over-giving. Today we are going to touch on: - How the Divine Feminine energy can be accessed through Goddesses from many cultures around the world. The fact is that grandmother guidance for medicines and herbs is ancient and accessible. There is a long and complex history of feminine energy being squashed, dismissed, and hidden including the witch wound (eg. More women were killed in the 300 years of witch trials that in the Nazi gas chambers – wow) And there is a very clear shift happening in the world that is encouraging a reconnection with the divine feminine for all people. Goddesses can assist you to do this … also we are going to touch on the Mary's (Magdalene and Mother) who are technically ascended masters but also divine goddesses. **we will talk to the Ascended Masters next week. ** FYI – I dive much deeper into this conversation in my Divine Alignment Code coaching program. **PLEASE SUPPORT our Women-led Podcast with Links Below** Did you know? Did you know Mary Magdalene had scrolls just like Matthew, Mark, Luke and John? When the gathering of men (and exactly ZERO women) chose what scrolls would be included in the Bible...there is a certain narrative that they made sure to include. The teaching of Christ from the feminine, the one he loved most of all...the apostle to the apostles, were left out. Along with all the apostles scrolls who believed the teachings and prophesied of the same teaching of Christ. The teachings that turned their hierarchy patriarchy government on its side. The ones that taught you God is within. That further up is actually farther in. Listen to her words. I did. I believe in this Christianity...the one we haven't practiced yet. Love, Jenn Kamp p.s. Understanding the important role of the Ego can, I believe, be one of the keys to creating a Private Practice With Soul, from Soul and driven by Soul. In this brief yet powerful episode, you'll hear an overview of the role of Ego when it comes to protecting you as a business owner and how left unchecked, this mighty force can leave more vulnerable than ever before. You will leave with a clear 3-step process that you can use any time, anywhere, to process egoic trauma's and reconnect to the Soul. I recently visited the South of France to honour the Magdalene and holy sites that pilgrims from around the world come to visit. In this podcast I reveal the Magdalene, who she was, what the ancient scrolls say about her and what her message is for all of us in these redemptive times of great change.
Niketta Scott is such a friend goddess, one of those women that you know is on your side from the start and is all about going deep on the conversation as quick as it feels natural. Niketta Scott is a woman who always knew she could communicate with the celestial realm but only in the last five years has she started really embracing it for healing herself and spiritual growth, using it as a trade and seeing it as a superpower. She is a Seastar who is helping people see that they have divine guides that they can call on any time, especially with her tarot reading skills, as well as with her singing and writing. What we love most about Niketta is that she is a go getter who isn't afraid to also hold a position as a property manager to fuel her spiritual and creative roles. This is something so important that so many women need to know; You are allowed to be multi-dimensional. In fact, you're better off in many ways if you are, and you will feel more fulfilled when you figure that out. To have an intellectual or daily pursuit that earns you financial means, as well as a spiritual pursuit, and also an creative/expressive pursuit, gives you depth to your character. And Niketta has arrived at a place in life where she can embrace and utilize her spirituality daily in her life and is a deep vault of wonderful information and kindness. Niketta and Mel cover a lot of topics, many around tarot and many around the truths Niketta uncovered along her path into tarot. Niketta urges people to have their guides and teams. Both in the physical realm AND in the celestial realm. We need our besties, our body work people (massage therapist, acupuncture, chiropractors), our trainers, our mentors, and our financial advisors. But we also need the guides we can't see but feel. We need to be able to tap into our angels, ancestors, deities, goddess archetypes, because their soul purpose is to fill our love and light cup up all the way and support us in our journey in the physical and spiritual worlds and into our purpose filled lives. We love this concept and we embrace the challenge to name and call on those celestial guides and try to connect with them regularly. Thank you, Niketta, for this remembering and for sharing it with us. This is just another reason we not only need your vibes but adore your work in this space - it is power and it is help we all can use. Tune in for this episode to hear all about all of that and how Tarot was actually a game philosophers hided sacred and ancient secrets inside of for safe communication, the school you should use if you want to learn and master tarot reading, and more. meggan is a feminist theologian. she writes about mary magdalene and the divine feminine. one could listen to this conversation and think, initially, that it is about religion, christianity and what it means to be a woman in a male-dominated theology.but it isn't.it's about soul work and having the courage to sit still and listen for what's true. it's about battling the doubts and fears to put into the world the voice you came here to speak. it's about making your thing no matter the forces against it. and being the lighthouse for others, the ones “made of the same fabric,” to find you.it's about bravery and heart, honesty and perseverance.some things we talk about: working through panic attacks and intense doubt to write the work meggan's here to writethe wisdom of the body and the power of living an embodied lifeknowing your worth while doing your soul workthe deep need for the divine femininedoing the hard work of going in to give to the world the truth of who we aremay this conversation inspire you to go within: to the raw, wild, expanse of mystery that is your beating heart, vibrating body, pulsing life in order to go beyond to utter the sacred: your words, dance, painting, art.you can listen to past episodes here

Welcome to the first ever Book Club Edition on the podcast. The first book we are diving into is Mary Magdalene Revealed by Meggan Watterson. This book completely blew my mind. So much of what is written I have known in my bones but to see it written out on paper backed by research and references is next level. As you listen to todays podcast I want you to ask yourself simply "what if?" What if the historical references in this book were true? What if a massive piece of what Jesus taught was cut off right from the beginning? What if the feminine essence of Christianity was buried away for us never to know? And what if a lot of these teachings were right there at the tip of your existence but have been shamed out of you due to the toxic patriarchy? This podcast is about empowering men and women to know that creation is within, god is within and that it's possible that we've all been lied to for the past 2000+ years. Love this podcast? In her rich book, Mary Magdalene Revealed: The First Apostle, The Feminist Gospel, and the Christianity We Haven't Tried Yet (Hay House, 2019), Meggan Watterson takes us deep into the heart of Mary Magdalene and her recently uncovered gospel. The Gospel of Mary Magdalene reveals a very different love story from the one we've come to refer to as Christianity. Harvard-trained theologian Meggan Watterson leads us verse by verse through Mary's gospel to illuminate the powerful teachings it contains. A gospel, as ancient and authentic as any of the gospels that the Christian bible contains, was buried deep in the Egyptian desert after an edict was sent out in the 4th century to have all copies of it destroyed. Fortunately, some rebel monks were wise enough to refuse-and thanks to their disobedience and spiritual bravery, we have several manuscripts of the only gospel that was written in the name of a woman: The Gospel of Mary Magdalene. Mary's gospel reveals a radical love that sits at the heart of the Christian story. Her gospel says that we are not sinful; we are not to feel ashamed or unworthy for being human. In fact, our purpose is to be fully human, to be a "true human being"- that is, a person who has remembered that, yes, we are a messy, limited ego, and we are also a limitless soul. And all we need to do is to turn inward (again and again); to meditate, like Mary Magdalene, in the way her gospel directs us, so that we can see past the ego of our own little lives to what's more real, and lasting, and infinite, and already here, within. With searing clarity, Watterson explains how and why Mary Magdalene came to be portrayed as the penitent prostitute and relates a more historically and theologically accurate depiction of who Mary was within the early Christ movement. And she shares how this discovery of Mary's gospel has allowed her to practice, and to experience, a love that never ends, a love that transforms everything. It may be the only place we can truly call home for the whole of our stay here on Earth, but how many of us feel completely connected to our bodies? The societies we live in are so keen to disconnect us from those bodies, to encourage hatred of them and division because of them that you could be forgiven for forgetting how it felt to feel truly at home in your physical self. Yet this process of reconnection that divine feminism involves doesn't stop with those intangible parts of ourselves, it's about reconnecting to every single part of ourselves. Including the physical.Join Ceryn for a deep dive into this subject; for the hows, whys and consequences of that disconnection from ourselves and for some ideas on how we can take the journey back home.Episode notes Within this episode Ceryn mentioned the Body is Not An Apology by Sonya Renee TaylorShe also mentioned Code Red by Lisa ListerAnd finally Mary Magdalene Revealed by Meggan Watterson The quote at the end of today's episode is by Nayyirah WaheedMusic is Start again, copyright Alex (2014), sourced through YouTube and available to hear in full hereIf you'd like to know more about working with Ceryn, and about Soul-Led Therapy, her approach to talking therapies, click here. Do you trust yourself? Every part of yourself? We live in a society that's all too keen to detatch us from the wisdom within us, and in doing so to leave us thoroughly distrusting from ourselves. But that's a dangerous place to be.Not only because we find it ever more challenging to hear and listen to what's truly right for us, but also because it leaves us constantly searching outside of ourselves rather than turning to the only person who ca ever give us true validation. Inspired by Joan of Arc's quote "I'm not afraid, I was born to do this", Ceryn turns a lens on the idea of self trust and asks how we connect with the parts of us we've come to distrust?Episode notes Within this episode Ceryn mentions Your Body Is Not An Apology by Sonya Renee TaylorShe also mentioned Meggan Watterson's book, Mary Magdalene Revealed.Meanwhile you can listen to Meggan's Divine Feminist interview here. Finally, Ceryn mentions the work of Yolandi BoshoffMusic is Start again, copyright Alex (2014), sourced through YouTube and available to hear in full hereIf you'd like to know more about working with Ceryn, and about Soul-Led Therapy, her approach to talking therapies, click hereAnd remember, to keep up with the latest from Ceryn and the podcast follow @divine.feminist on Instagram
Mary Magdalene's gospel, ancient and authentic as any of the early Christian's writings. Her gospel reveals a new heart centered twist to the traditional book/testaments. Mary Magdalene's gospel was discovered as early as 1896, in Cairo, first translation began in 1912, first edition published in 1955, finally studied and circulated in the 21st century. Join Ceryn in conversation with Meggan Watterson, Feminist Theologian and Author of multiple books, including the transformational Mary Magdalene Revealed.Ceryn and Meggan discuss the subject of Mary's gospel and all it has to offer us, while also talking about it's impact on Meggan's work and the wider world.Together they discuss the idea of union with the self - all parts of the self - and the confidence that can bring to voice what we know to be true, and the sacredness of our physical bodies. Meggan shares her insights on fear and trauma and their power to bring us outside of ourselves, taking us out of the moment to live a life of disconnection. But through conversations about the Gnostic Gospels, more traditional religion and Meggan's Soul Voice meditation practice, the two return time and time again to the idea of that big unsayable love that exists within us, and the power of reconnecting with that.Episode notesToday's guest is Meggan Watterson. You know how some folks were raised to believe in one very specific set of beliefs and don't ever question where that set of beliefs came from, who came up with them in the first place, and what greater motive getting a bunch of people to believe in those things might be serving? And you know how everything everyone has ever told us came from another human being who has biases, is flawed, and has impacted that knowledge in some way so there's really no such thing as "pure truth" coming from someone else? I want you to know something: No one else can tell you what's true. You have to learn to source the truth from within. Learning how to do this will be the single most important skill you've ever invested time in mastering. It will save you time making decisions. (Did you know that the average person spends 7 hours and 36 minutes deliberating about their choices every week?) It will ensure you always do the right thing for your highest purpose. It will guarantee miracles in your life because your inner truth can orchestrate magic in a way that your ego couldn't even fathom. There is a person who lives from the truth she hears within more than any human being I've ever met, and I'm so blessed to call her one of my very best friends. She's a scholar, a theologian, one of the wackiest dancers I've ever seen, a total comedian without meaning to be one, a fierce mother, a deeply generous friend, and the author of the game changing book, Mary Magdalene Revealed: The First Apostle, Her Feminist Gospel & the Christianity We Haven't Tried Yet. I can't believe it's taken us this long to have Meggan on The Kate & Mike Show, but I know that we were saving ourselves for the very conversation I have for you today. As she always does, Meggan gave us all of her mind, body, heart, and soul as she shared the depths of her own personal journey to find what was missing in the Christianity she was raised with, how she discovered Mary Magdalene, and the healing journey she's been leading to champion the Christianity we haven't tried yet. In today's episode you'll hear: • The truth about the Bible and what was purposefully left out of it (and why) • The path to truly know God (hint: it's not what you think) • What happened to all of the women in Christianity and how we can bring them back • How to know the difference between the voice of fear and the voice of your intuition • How the metaphor of resurrection can inform our own daily transformations • A new meaning of the word "death" that opens up profound possibilities for new ways of living • How to connect with the eternal while living in the confines of time and space in a human body • And so much more! We have never had a conversation like this one on The Kate & Mike Show. Prepare to have your assumptions challenged, the beliefs that aren't serving you shaken up, and to walk away from the episode holding the keys to access the very thing we've all been searching for the whole time.
