We moeten veel beter het grotere geheel in ogenschouw nemen, stelt hij, en daarbij nadrukkelijk ook voorbij het ruimtelijke domein alleen kijken: welke maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen zijn er, wat is de economische drager, welke partijen hebben hier belangen en welke kant wijzen die op… de blik op het grotere geheel moet daarbij gecombineerd worden met een blik op de lange termijn. Aan dergelijke strategische visievorming is steeds meer behoefte, ziet Moederscheim.Een belangrijk speerpunt van Scope Spatial Strategy is om visies te ontwikkelen die ruimte laten voor voortschrijdend inzicht. Zo was de inzet in Sloterdijk om de bouwenveloppen voor de hybride stadsblokken niet te strak te maken, zodat er letterlijk bewegingsruimte blijft om gebouwen bijvoorbeeld een draagconstructie van hout te geven. Terwijl ze aan de visie voor Ipse de Bruggen werkten, merkte hij dat de manier waarop we tegen bestaande gebouwen aankijken aan het veranderen is. Slopen willen we eigenlijk niet meer. Visies moeten enerzijds helder de ruimtelijke en programmatische kwaliteit van plekken definiëren, maar anderzijds ook ruimte bieden om in de invulling daarvan in te spelen op de nieuwste inzichten.

Seizoen 4, Aflevering 7 van “Kunnen we het maken?”. Deze keer is er een speciale aflevering, want dit keer gaan we het over het lustrum van KOers, de Structural Design studievereniging, hebben. Dit jaar vieren we Koers 45ste verjaardag en dus de 9e lustrum. Elke aflevering had een onderwerp centraal van circulair bouwen tot tentconstructies maar sinds de podcast “Kunnen we het maken?” onderdeel is van KOers moeten we natuurlijk een aflevering toeweidden aan het jubileum van KOers. Hiervoor hebben we vandaag Faas Moonen, Floor van Schie en Robin van Steen uitgenodigd. Faas is al jaren actief op de TU/e als docent en is een echte expert in de wereld van Structural design. Hij heeft in die tientallen jaren aan verschillende activiteiten van KOers meegedaan. Floor is hier begonnen als architectuur student maar heeft toch het licht gezien en is in haar master niet alleen achitectuur maar ook Structural Design gaan doen. Nu is ze werkzaam op de TU/e als docent. Robin representeert de organisatie achter het hele lustrum. Ze heeft in het bestuur van KOers gezeten als voorzitter en was ook onderdeel van de lustrum commissie. Natuurlijk, is ze ook een student en is ze hierbuiten, nog steeds lid van Koers. Drie gasten dus, alle drie in een compleet andere manier verbonden met de TU en met KOers. Samen met de host, Ruben, zullen terugblikken op KOers van de afgelopen vijf jaar!

Zij krijgen elke maand een box met groenten die net iets afwijken. Niet recht genoeg, een klein bobbeltje, een deukje of vlekje bijvoorbeeld. Daarnaast wordt geprobeerd om de groenten en fruit alsnog aan supermarkten te slijten, voor een eerlijke prijs.De inkooporganisatiesOp deze manier heeft No Waste Army al ruim 200.000 kilo groente en fruit kunnen redden. Het probleem zit ‘m volgens Thibaud van der Steen bij de inkooporganisaties. Die stellen allerlei esthetische eisen aan de producten die in de supermarktschappen liggen. Wel ziet Van der Steen voorzichtig wat beweging in deze opstelling. Binnenkort gaat zijn stichting met een inkooporganisatie in gesprek.Europese NatuurwetEn ken je het verhaal over de Europese Natuurwet? Nou, die kwam er niet. Ongelooflijk, onverantwoord en onwelriekend zijn de gedachten die bij Harm naar boven kwamen borrelen. Italië, Polen, Hongarije en ook Nederland zijn tegen de wet die voor een grootschalige renovatie en uitbreiding van Europese natuurgebieden moet zorgen. ‘De natuur betekent leven, bestaansrecht, welvaart en ga zo maar door. Daar kun je niet tegen zijn', aldus Harm. ‘Ik ben boos en wil er nog één o-woord aan toevoegen: onbedaarlijk dom.'Poetin en het klimaatOns Groene Geweten Aniek Moonen blikt terug op de presidentsverkiezingen in Rusland. Dat Poetin nog zes jaar aan de macht blijft, heeft ook gevolgen voor het klimaat. Het land heeft zich op het internationale wereldtoneel gecommitteerd aan klimaatneutraliteit in 2060. Episode 120 is a conversation with Dr. Eziafakaku Nwokolo, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA). Notably, she is the only BCBA in the entire resident Nigerian population and one of the growing numbers of QBAs in the country. She is the Founder and CEO of Shades of Life Care Limited (SOL), a centre that provides assessment, diagnosis, and intervention strategies to families with children that have behavioural challenges, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The facility also offers training and supervision services to Behaviour Analysts and Technicians in Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities from the University of Kent, where her thesis focused on “Screening for Autism and Intellectual Disabilities Amongst the Nigerian Adolescent Population”. After losing her job due to the pandemic, Kailey really dove head first into the fitness coaching world when she pursued her personal training certification. Though she was offered her job back, she had a goal to work for herself helping other women. All of this led her to Team PD. Kailey danced from childhood through college at the University of Arizona. Coming off of that dance background, she carried limiting beliefs that she needed to be smaller and take up less space. Kailey wanted to feel empowered in her body, so she sought out educational social media accounts to learn how to build muscle. After struggling with chronic migraines her entire life, and failed medications, she just accepted that was something she would have to deal with. Kailey's mom talked to her about veganism and the benefits for her rheumatoid arthritis. Once making the diet change, Kailey felt relief from migraines. After even more personal research, she found that gluten also contributed to her migraines. She now says that no food is worth losing your quality of life. Finding a balance between fitness and lifestyle has been a game changer for Kailey. She is now able to eat the foods she enjoys and do the things she loves to do while still reaching her goals. With her clients, Kailey stresses that diets are not one size fits all. Kailey lives in Tucson, Arizona where she loves all things music and traveling to festivals. As the 2021 legislative sessions begin, about 15% of the lawmakers will be first timers. As with any new job, a little advice from more seasoned colleagues can be helpful. On this podcast, I’m joined by Alabama Representative Debbie Wood and former Maine Representative Matt Moonen. They bring different perspectives. La gravedad de la contaminación electromagnética y su solución La contaminación eléctrica (electricidad “sucia” o corriente sucia) ya suena como algo que debemos “limpiar”. Y una vez lo hayamos hecho, vamos a dejar de enfermar. La electricidad es una energía que está dentro y alrededor de nosotros, que emite radiación y que afecta a nuestra salud y bienestar. La radiación electromagnética inionizante nos rodea cada vez más, causada principalmente por la cantidad cada vez mayor de equipos eléctrico en nuestros ambientes de vida y trabajo: ordenadores, microondas, TV y aplicaciones, radios, etc. Antoon explicará y dará una demostración viva de la contaminación eléctrica, hablará de sus orígenes, de las investigaciones médicas y de su impacto en la salud humana causado por la exposición a las frecuencias “biológicamente activas” de la radiación electromagnética (4 kHz – 100 kHz) que difunden continuamente los cableados eléctricos en todos los edificios. Finalmente, Antoon introducirá la solución de ingeniería científica probada y muy simple para este problema, que elimina la contaminación eléctrica y mantiene un ambiente habitable bio-amistoso para nosotros mismos y nuestras familias. Antoon Moonen estuvo en nuestro país este pasado verano. Muchos creyeron que era el “guardaespaldas” de uno de los ponentes, Steven Greer, en la pasada Cumbre Europea de Exopolítica, cuando realmente vino a ayudar y a ser útil a quien lo necesitara. Antoon nació en Nueva Zelanda, de padres inmigrantes holandeses, donde fué educado en una aldea costera con una fuerte motivación hacia la naturaleza y el medio ambiente.
