The 2020-20201 NBA Season is a go after the NBA Owners and Players managed to come to an agreement to amend the CBA and work out an agreement that would satisfy both sides. The 2020-2021 Season will feature a 72 game season. 3 nights ago the NBA had the 2020 NBA Draft which saw the Celtics have 3 1st round picks to work with. Then less then 48 hours later Danny Ainge and the rest of the NBA teams had the next big part of the off season schedule to worry about. NBA Free Agency. The NBA and the players agreed to make the salary cap for the 2020-2021 season 109.1 million with a luxury tax amount of 132.6 million. So it has been 24 hours since the opening of free agency and we are 18 hours away from the time that contracts can officially start being signed by players to join their teams for the 2020-2021 season. So what has happened for the Boston Celtics over the past 24 hours between the player/team option contracts for Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, Daniel Theis, Enes Kanter, Robert Williams and Semi Ojeleye. Did any of them remain Celtics via their contract options or did they hit the free agency market? What about the 3 1st round picks from this past Wednesdays draft night. Did Danny Ainge manage to make a trade up in the draft to get a high prospect or trade for a veteran or did he strike out and end up with 3 college players? What rumors are we hearing for the free agency market. Could we see Gordon Hayward leaving in less then 24 hours or is he expected to remain a Celtics player? Is Danny Ainge gonna be able to get a legit big man after failing to get one last season? Those questions and more are discussed on tonights Free Agency Special. We are joined by Sports Anchor and Report Bobby Krivitsky (@BobbyKrivitsky on twitter) and fellow Celtics fan Andrew Vernon

There may never be a more critical offseason and upcoming season for the Boston Celtics then this offseason and the 2020/2021 NBA Season. The Boston Celtics after losing for the 3rd time in 4 seasons in the Eastern Conference Finals. Now face the realty that they are no longer alone at the top of the NBA mountain as the Lakers have tied them for the most championships in NBA History and are primed to potentially pass them next season if the Celtics dont do something or get the benefit of someone else stopping the Lakers for them. However before the Celtics can even start planning on what they are gonna do to try and prepare themselves to right the ship in what will be a more tougher Eastern Conference next season they and all the other NBA teams must wait for the NBA Owners, Players Association and the Commissioner to come to an agreement on several key issues for next season. From what the salary cap and luxury tax amounts will be so teams know what they are faced with once they are ready to start making deals in free agency and the trade market. To the discussion of when the season will actually start and what the parameters of the scheduled will look like. On todays show we will discuss the latest reports on what the league is considering for all those key issues and also discuss the latest rumors surrounding the Celtics and the NBA's upcoming NBA Draft on November 18th which could be an eventful night for Celtics GM Danny Ainge with 3 1st round picks to use or trade away in some other deals. We will be joined by Rich Conte (@richconte on twitter) Producer and Host of the Techlife Podcast. As well as Celtics fan and writer for the Green and White Celtics Fan Blog Andrew Vernon

In the last month the NBA has showed signs of the possibility of the 2019/2020 NBA Season coming back for its completion. However now all is fine and dandy with the latest thoughts on how things are going for the NBA Commissioner, the NBA Owners and the NBA Players. The NBA approved the opening of team facilities for voluntary workouts for the players so players can be in tip top shape when and if the season resumes. The NBA Commissioner made it clear the workouts were voluntary and that no player had to report if they didn't want to however some NBA teams now are forcing its players to show up for the workouts violatiing the Commissioners orders of the workouts being Voluntary. Resulting in the Players Association getting involved and asking the Commissioner Adam Silver to do something about it. The Commissioner also has given an update that any continuation of the season would likely mean no fans would be involved. It would likely mean the season would be taking place with all games taking place in 1 or 2 cities at most and all players quarantined meaning in all likely hood the remainder of the regular season is cancelled and we would just go straight into the playoffs. The Players would lose money as 40% of the income for the league comes from the fans and tickets sales and with no fans that money is not brought in. Discussions have been made on what the league would do to monitor players health and what would be done if Coronavirus was to spread amongst the teams playing. Also what does this mean for the 2020-2021 season with the late ending to this season, the late NBA Free Agency start and more. We will discuss what this means for the league and its fans and do we think its best with Rich Conte (@richconte on twitter), Andrew Vernon (celtics fan and member of the We Bleed Green Celtics Fan Forum Group), Kevin Dixon (host of N The Zone Sports Radio)

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are glad to see Senate Republicans expressing major reservations over the Trump administration's proposed tariffs against Mexico. They also discuss Parkland Officer Scot Peterson facing criminal charges for his non-response to the Stoneman-Douglas High School shooting and wonder whether the charges are appropriate for his dereliction of duty. And they have some fun with the news that some NBA owners no longer want to be called "owners" because the term is racially insensitive.
