Paul Manafort was in Spain in January 2017 when the “Trump dossier” was published. He was there to “re-establish” his relationship with Oleg Deripaska, a Russian oligarch to whom he owed millions. When the former chairman of Trump's 2016 campaign returned to the United States, he presented Republicans with a plan to discredit the entire Trump/Russia investigation.  In the second episode of Ball of Thread, Marcy Wheeler unwinds how the dossier collected by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele came together and blew up. She also reveals the untold story of Steele's relationship with Deripaska and Deripaska's brutal game.  Find out how Russian disinformation helped shape the stories about the dossier, blurring the Trump campaign's relationship with the Kremlin and strategically polarizing the United States.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (12/15/2023): 3:05pm- On Wednesday, MSNBC's Monica Alba reported that the Biden Administration is concerned about the “emotional toll” a Hunter Biden drug relapse—triggered by his ongoing legal troubles—would have on his father, President Joe Biden. Could this be the excuse the White House provides for a potential pardon of Hunter? The president's son has been charged with several tax evasion felonies, as well as federal firearm charges. 3:15pm- According to new polling data from Morning Consult, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump now leads President Joe Biden in all seven swing states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup in the 2024 presidential election. You can read more here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/trump-now-leads-biden-in-all-seven-swing-states-poll/ 3:20pm- While appearing on MSNBC with Jen Psaki, Miles Taylor—a self-described member of “the resistance” within the Trump Administration following the 2016 election—claimed that if former President Donald Trump won re-election, he could punish Americans by shutting off the internet! In August, Charles McGonigal, a 22-year veteran of the bureau's field office in New York, was found guilty of a count of conspiracy for working with Oleg Deripaska, a Russian billionaire with close ties to President Vladimir Putin. During his stint with the bureau, McGonigal received classified information that Deripaska would be designated a Russian oligarch with close ties to the Kremlin, the indictment alleged. McGonigal was legally obligated to inform the FBI of his relationship with foreign officials, which he violated by continuing communication and establishing business ties with Deripaska.” You can read Blaff's full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/fbi-official-who-helped-launch-trump-russia-probe-sentenced-to-four-years-in-prison-for-work-with-russian-oligarch/ 4:15pm- David Zimmerman of National Review writes: “The House on Thursday passed the National Defense Authorization Act, an annual defense bill that will this year include an extension of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act's Section 702, the controversial law that permits warrantless surveillance of foreign nationals. The annual national-defense bill was passed by the Senate Wednesday, and is now headed to President Joe Biden's desk to be signed into law. Welcome to the George Santos Tribute Episode, lasting as long as his tenure in Congress. The Russian-linked Ponzi Scheme is on his way out. He lavishly spent campaign cash on his honeymoon in Las Vegas, spa treatments, luxury shopping sprees, Botox (he's 35!), and the naughty fun time site OnlyFans. We have questions, mostly: Did his Russian-linked backers get their money's worth by having major American embarrassment Santos in Congress? The answer is yes. On an oddly related note, super mogul Len Blavatnik, whom you're not allowed to call a Russian oligarch (or else he might sue you), owns Warner Music Group. The industry giant is developing a creepy and dangerous A.I.-generated Edith Piaf biopic. Blavatnik, whose cousin Andrea got into a screaming match with at the start of Putin's invasion of Ukraine, throws his money around, including to the Democratic Party and the Council on Foreign Relations. As explained in this episode, this is reputation laundering and influence peddling, given Blavatnik's well-documented ties to Putin's court of oligarchs. Are you ready for this? Blavatnik is a longtime friend and business partner of notorious sanctioned “Putin wallet” Viktor Vekselberg in various oligarchy-type ventures like Rusal, Russia's largest aluminum company owned by Oleg Deripaska, that thug who won the aluminum wars during the car bomb 1990s in Russia. (Paul Manafort was on the hook to Deripaska for a bunch of money in a media venture gone wrong, and made it up to him by running Donald Trump's presidential campaign in 2016…for free). Blavatnik's friend/business partner Vekselberg has a seemingly unlucky cousin named Andrew Intrater, a financier who gave George Soros $625,000 to invest in a Florida based fund that turned out to be a Ponzi scheme. Despite losing all that money, Intrater went on to put his full trust in Santos by pumping his Congressional campaign full of cash. A campaign that turned out to be…you guessed it, a Ponzi scheme. It should be noted that longtime friends and associates Intrater, Vekselberg, and Blavatnik all gave heavily to Trump's inaugural committee–otherwise known as a Russian victory lap.  This week's bonus episode includes questions from listeners on topics ranging from white rage extremism and who's tracking it, to how to stay hopeful during these dark times. If you didn't hear your question answered this week, look out for it soon! Next week's bonus episode will be the Make Art Workshop–a thank you to our community and a way for us to build up our resilience and fight back with joy.

EPISODE 142: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:42) SPECIAL COMMENT: Merrick Garland is going to appear in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday morning. And it looks like there'll be yet another new and big and shiny thing to ask him about, about the arrested ex-FBI man Charles McGonigal and the Russian linked via Paul Manafort to Trump, Oleg Deripaska. Once, McGonigal was in charge of investigating Deripaska. The next thing you knew, he was WORKING FOR Deripaska. Exactly WHEN that happened keeps changing. 2020? 2019? Now it's 2018? Could it have been 2016? Judiciary Chair Dick Durban and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse want to know, and they want to know if Garland knows if McGonigal was aware of his FBI New York Field Office and how it was already trying to fix the 2016 election for Trump by forcing James Comey to re-smear Hillary Clinton eleven days before the election. Meanwhile Trump CAN get the GOP nomination because the GOP hierarchy is moronic: it actually believes it has "cornered" him by demanding a pledge of all would-be nominees to support whoever gets the nomination because OF COURSE he always lives up to his promises. And Tucker Carlson doubles down on the January 6th video scam. B-Block (18:08) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: First you could say "Dilbert" isn't funny. Then you could say it isn't appropriate. Now, after Scott Adams' racist rant, you can say it just...isn't. Happily Elon Musk is there to defend him. And the Department of Energy says Covid-19 was a lab leak? Oh they say it with "low confidence" that they're right? And it's the Department of ENERGY? (21:43) In sports: baseball's pitch clock seems to work (I'll be DAMNED), but where is it going to come up with the money to pay Manny Machado? Four more Regional Sports Networks pumping baseball (and the NBA and NHL) full of cash say they will likely go bankrupt within a month. (25:20) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Did the anti-Drag governor of Tennessee dress up IN drag in High School? Why does one writer keep calling CNN's Chris "Maybe Ate Paste" Licht a genius when he's never finished higher than last in the ratings? And how do you spell "NINTH" and "TWELFTH"? Don't ask the Florida Department of Education - the folks there have no clue. C-Block (32:00) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Peanut, in North Carolina, who weighs 20 pounds when she should weigh 60, needs your help. (33:15) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: On one day I was supposed to have coffee - at her invitation, as a prelude to a date, with Uma Thurman, AND the president of Current TV was taking me to dinner to explain how we could get rid of the idiot co-owner who didn't know what "DVR" was and so bought ratings showing only "Live" viewers, not "Live + DVR" viewers. EPISODE 127: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:41) SPECIAL COMMENT: It is carefully hidden to protect the sources, but there's no question in my mind now: The New York Times' profile of the arrested ex-FBI New York Executive Charles McGonigal implies that FBI and DOJ are investigating whether he was working for Oleg Deripaska, employer of Paul Manafort who was Trump's Campaign Manager - FOR FREE - long before he retired from the Bureau. I go through the Times piece line-by-line and the phrasing, the invoking of an earlier Russian Spy in McGonigal's own FBI department, the terminology, is all groundwork for later stories that could fully reengage this country with the reality of Trump's 2016 Conspiracy with Russia - and how the FBI's New York Office may have knowingly or unknowingly played a part on both ends of that fetid deal. Does the timeline of what the FBI New York office did with the Anthony Weiner laptop also suggest that the man who helped force the Comey Letter is...Charles McGonigal? Did the DOJ just arrest someone on lesser charges in hopes of getting him to flip on Trump, or the FBI New York leakers, or others in the Trump-Russia Conspiracy? Someone named...Charles McGonigal? Hey DOJ – quit writing and start indicting! This week we discuss the ongoing grotesque trend of former officials writing books about all the crimes they didn't solve instead of actually protecting our country while in office. This is a long-brewing crisis going back to the days of John Bolton and James Comey, and its latest iteration is Mark Pomerantz, another lawyer lackey timing his “tell-all” for maximum profits and minimum democracy. We discuss how NDAs block the public from vital info and how the publishing industry has created an incentive for officials to remain silent about – or even participate in -- state crimes. We continue to discuss the case of Charlie McGonigal – the indicted FBI official who was secretly working for sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska –  in the context of a broader look at corruption in the so-called “department of justice.” We examine the factors that contribute to this crisis including insularity, elitism, and nepotistic networks. We also destroy the myth that authoritarianism and law are two separate categories and that expertise on one negates knowledge of the other. Mafia states are in fact dependent on the judiciary, which functions as the cage bars of autocracy. If you understand how the judicial system works in a typical kleptocracy, the Biden and Trump DOJs will strike you as familiar. This is why the “legal pundits” polluting our airways with savior syndrome myths are not only vapid, but, over time, dangerous, as they destroy public expectations of good governance. We also discuss the difficulty of parenting during this era of flagrant injustice. It's Merrick Garland's DOJ, but our children will have to live in its aftermath. For our bonus episode, available to Patreon subscribers at the Truth-Teller lever or higher, we answer questions from our listeners. Among the topics covered are Fani Willis and the Georgia investigation, what happens if Trump is indicted, Ron DeSantis lackey Christina Pushaw, and the debt ceiling crisis. "I've heard from a lot of people who will go onstage and put on the red hat and then give me a call the next day and say 'I can't wait until this guy dies.'" It's an amazing strategy but a passive one. And it ignores the various walls closing in on Trump: two District Attorneys, three Grand Juries, one Judiciary Chairman annoyed at John Durham and William Barr, one Judiciary Chairman rebuffed by Merrick Garland, one porn star, and one guy named Pecker. Still, potentially the most extraordinary story about Trump: the clouds gathering around the arrest of Charlie McGonigal, who was a 24/7, 365 days a year, hot and cold running blackmail-victim-FBI-Agent-waiting-to-happen. And now two analysts look at his arrest and suggest: this may evolve into a) a spy scandal in which the national security was utterly breached and b) a journalistic disaster in which Trump, Russia, and the FBI managed to manipulate The New York Times into pushing Trump across the finish line in 2016. Brad and Dan begin by discussing the arrest of the FBI agent who was in charge of the NY bureau in the lead up to the 2016 election. He was arrested for working for Oleg Deripaska, a man who was at the center of the Trump-Russia scandal. In the second segment they transition to the book banning policy in place under Ron DeSantis in Florida. They then compare the respective agendas of the Dems and the GOP by looking at how Red States in the Midwest are about to benefit from a renewed manufacturing sector as a result of the CHIPS Act. In the final segment they discuss Kevin McCarthy's approach in the House and the way Michigan might be a model moving forward. EPISODE 121: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:43) SPECIAL COMMENT: Yesterday I proposed that to crowd this corrupt Republican farce, "The Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Government" off the stage, the Democrats needed a similar investigation in the Senate. Suddenly there are far more important reasons than politics and counter-programming. The New York Times' post-mortem on The Durham "Investigation" shows ethical corner cutting and possible criminality. And the deeper dives into the ex-FBI agent arrested Monday show the outlines of the possibility Charles McGonigal took Russian money long before 2021. What if these are just two pictures of the same conspiracy taken at different times? What if this is ALL about an effort to protect Russian Government Intelligence Agencies, and Trump? And even worse: what if The New McCarthyism of the "Weaponization" subcommittee is just the newest photo of the same cover-up?  Start that investigation now, Senators. Gaslit Nation has been studying Russian oligarch-aiding FBI traitors since our podcast launched in 2018, and what did we get for our diligent efforts? Yet another traitor! This week we discuss the indictment of Charlie McGonigal, the former top counterintelligence official in the New York field office who was secretly working for mega-oligarch Oleg Deripaska while pretending to investigate him. (You may remember Deripaska from our classic T-shirt slogan “You can't make a deal with the guy who won the aluminum wars in the car bomb 1990s in Russia, you just can't.” Rolls right off the tongue!)   We analyze the McGonigal case in the context of familiar Gaslit Nation topics – the top heads of the FBI who went on to work for the Russian mafia, how James Comey betrayed America to serve Semyon Mogilevich, the strange behavior of the FBI and the media during the 2016 election, the partnership between Deripaska and Paul Manafort, the partnership between Deripaska and Mitch McConnell, the desire of McConnell to make Merrick Garland head of the FBI as all this illegal activity was transpiring, and how the McGonigal case and general FBI treason affects Russia's war on Ukraine. This episode was recorded during our second ever Gaslit Nation Live Event and we thank everyone who showed up for this historic occasion!   For our bonus, which will be out on Friday, we answered a LOT of questions from our Patreon subscribers! You can listen to our Q & As if you subscribe at the Truth-Teller level or higher, and you can send in your own question and get it answered in depth by subscribing at the Democracy Defender level or higher.   Times are tough in media, politics, and life and we are VERY grateful to you for keeping our show going! EPISODE 119: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) OF McGONIGAL, DERIPASKA, AND MANAFORT, Part 1: Even at this late date, the ex-FBI executive arrested Saturday, Charles McGonigal, could put Donald Trump in jail forever. McGonigal is not only facing prison for working for Russian oligarch and election conspiracist Oleg Deripaska, but when the FBI revived the "But Her Emails" smear against Hillary Clinton 11 days before the 2016 election and three days later leaked it had "cleared" Trump, McGonigal was the head of the FBI's 2016 Trump-Russia investigation. He's the centerpiece of TWO of the plots to install Trump, and his arrest should start the entire investigation of the Trump-Russia Conspiracy. B-Block (13:34) OF McGONIGAL, DERIPASKA, AND MANAFORT, Part 2: McGonigal, like Paul Manafort, became an employee of Putin crony Deripaska. It's time again to examine Manafort, in bed with Deripaska to the tune of $60,000,000 and appearing in front of Tom Barrack right after Trump lost the Iowa Caucuses saying "I've got to GET TO TRUMP." His story, and the timeline that led McGonigal to a prison cell. C-Block (31:55) OF McGONIGAL, DERIPASKA, AND MANAFORT, Part 3: Suddenly the picture looks so familiar: emails, a computer, gaslighting. It's time to remember the horrible feeling of the morning the sun did not rise: November 9, 2016, and to launch either a Senate or Presidential investigation of the successful Trump-Russia plot to install him in the White House before they succeed again.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (01/23/2023):  3:05pm- On Friday, Justice Department investigators conducted a 13-hour search of President Joe Biden's Wilmington, Delaware home. During the search, six more misplaced classified documents were discovered—some documents dated back to Biden's time as a U.S. Senator, which concluded in 2009. White House lawyers emphasized that President Biden had consented to the DOJ's search. 3:30pm- In a recent New York Post editorial, columnist Miranda Devine hypothesized that Hunter Biden's access to his father's Wilmington home, and subsequent access to classified files, could have been used to generate greater interest in Hunter's services in foreign business dealings.  3:45pm- During Monday's press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre refused to directly answer questions about President Biden's mishandling of classified materials—referring reporters to the White House Counsel for answers to their questions. At one point, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked if President Biden is “involved in a cover-up”? 3:55pm- While appearing on Fox News, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) told Maria Bartiromo that “Americans would be shocked if they saw how many connections the Biden family had to people directly affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party.” 4:05pm- While on ABC's “This Week,” Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) dismissed President Biden's recklessness with classified documents—explaining, that his actions aren't keeping Americans “up at night.”  4:15pm- Surprisingly, in her opening monologue, ABC's Martha Raddatz was highly critical of President Biden's conduct. While appearing on television over the weekend, typical White House allies Democrat Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) voiced disapproval of Biden's recklessness with classified documents. Professor Christian Terwiesch said the Artificial Intelligence chatbot would have received a B or B- on the examination had it been an actual student in the course. 5:00pm- According to reporting from Luke Rosiak of The Daily Wire, “[a] 14-year-old transgender runaway from Virginia endured a six-month nightmare that saw her twice fall into the hands of sex traffickers, the second time after Baltimore bureaucrats refused to return her to her home state because they accused her adoptive parents of “misgendering” her.”  5:05pm- In a new survey conducted at California's Davis Joint Unified School District, 6% of the student body self-identifies as transgender or nonbinary.  5:10pm- According to a report in the New York Times, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) summoned exorcists to her home to rid it of bad energy and evil spirits after her husband Paul Pelosi was attacked by a hammer-wielding intruder. Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of Nancy and Paul, said of the assault: “I think that really broke her. Over Thanksgiving, she had priests coming, trying to have an exorcism of the house and having prayer services.” 5:25pm- The Rich Zeoli Show bids farewell to the 2023 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. We laugh, we cry, and we play some of WEF's greatest moments. See you in 2024, Klaus Schwab! 5:30pm- The gunman suspected of killing 10 people at Star Ballroom Dance Studio in Monterey Park, California ended his own life after being pulled over by police on Sunday.  5:45pm- When questioned by reporters, Karine Jean-Pierre could not point to a single instance demonstrating that President Joe Biden takes classified documents seriously.  5:50pm- An avian flu outbreak has caused egg prices to skyrocket across the United States. One state hit particularly hard: California—due to its requirement that all chicken in the state be free-range, which is more expensive. According to a report from CBS San Diego, some citizens have become so desperate for affordable eggs that they've begun crossing the U.S. Southern border to gain access to cheaper prices.  6:05pm- While appearing on Meet the Press, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) hinted that he might run for president in 2024—and, notably, refused to commit to supporting President Joe Biden's potential candidacy in 2024.  6:20pm- According to auditors, the Pentagon cannot account for over $220 billion in military gear given to contractors—which includes ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes.   6:55pm- In his memoir, “The Spare,” Prince Harry references his private parts fifteen times—including one especially awkward story. They've arrested retired FBI agent Charles McGonigal, of the lead FBI investigators of 2016 Russian Electoral Interference by Putin-friendly Russian oligarch Oleg Derpiaska. The allegation? That McGonigal has spent the last year secretly working FOR OLEG DERIPASKA. Plus updates on Biden's documents (we're up to EIGHT different stories now) and how the Arizona Senate race just changed, activating Kyrsten Sinema's aversion to three-ways. In light of the DOJ's indictment of Russian Oligarch Oleg Derispaska, we thought it worth examining Deripaska's ties to various individuals involved with SpyGate. To be very clear from the outset, we are not attempting to argue that Derispaska is somehow a good guy or a white hat—quite the opposite. We think Deripaska may have effectively served as the originator of the Steele dossier in his ongoing quest for a U.S. Visa. But an examination of Deripaska's contacts with a number of recognizable and notable figures over the years is surprisingly illuminating. ⭕️Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV

This week: stories about Flynn's FARA partner Bijan Kian; a big loss in court for our old friend Oleg Deripaska; autocracy versus democracy and the parallels between Russia and Republicans in the United States; yet another successful call from the former guy to get Russia's help against political opponents. We also have a new indictment in the Fantasy Indictment League and the connection to current events might not be overtly apparent at first, but I'll tie it all together with Peter Strzok.  The Mueller Report - Pt. 5 Google Podcasts - https://bit.ly/3J82yFQ Supercast - https://dailybeans.supercast.com/dashboard/channels/episodes/21818 Patreon -  https://www.patreon.com/posts/27787064 Peter Strzok: https://twitter.com/petestrzok Follow AG on Twitter: Dr. Allison Gill  https://twitter.com/allisongill https://twitter.com/MuellerSheWrote https://twitter.com/dailybeanspod Want to support the show and get it ad-free and early? https://dailybeans.supercast.tech/ Or https://patreon.com/thedailybeans

Show #1405 Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily, you trusted source of information. It's Tuesday 15th March, it's Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to. TESLA RAISES PRICES FOR SECOND TIME IN DAYS ON RISING COSTS - Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) raised its prices in China and the United States for the second time in less than a week, after CEO Elon Musk said the U.S. electric carmaker was facing significant inflationary pressure in raw materials and logistics. - The increases come as costs of raw materials are surging, exacerbated by supply chain disruptions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. - Tesla, which has a diversified supply chain, has bought "millions of euros worth of aluminum" from Russian aluminium giant Rusal, CNBC reported on Monday, citing internal documents. Rusal's billionaire founder Oleg Deripaska has been sanctioned by Britain. A YEAR AGO - The Tesla Model 3 was launched with the promise of a $35,000 base price, but now the base Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive starts at $48,190. That's an increase of $2,000 from its most recent (higher) price, and nearly a third higher than this time last year, when you could get a Model 3 Standard Range Plus for $37,190. - Tesla's other Model 3 variants saw price increases as well. The Model 3 Long Range now starts at $54,490 (up $2,500) and the Model 3 Performance starts at $61,990 (up $3,000). - The base price of the entry-level Model Y Long Range increased $3,000 to $62,990. So the most affordable Model Y now costs about $23,000 more than it did around this time last year. - March 2021 the now-discontinued Model Y Standard Range had cost just $41,190. - The Model Y Performance then was just $62,190. Tesla then increased the base price to $64,990, and it now starts at $67,990. The Model S now starts at $99,990 – an extra $5,000 over the previous price - The performance version also received a $5,000 price increase. Model X surprisingly escaped many previous waves of price increases from Tesla, but not this time. The electric SUV is seeing a price increase of $10,000 to now start at $114,990: - The Plaid version also saw a big price increase, and now it finally sells for more than the Model S Plaid – the fact that it didn't before made no sense. During the same timeframe, many automakers saw a drop, and the industry as a whole saw a decrease of 0.6 percent. - That said, there are certainly other brands that also had a notable increase, such as Acura, Jeep, Mini, and Toyota. At any rate, Tesla's average transaction price rose from $63,263 in January to $65,837 in February. - If we look at the bigger picture, from February 2021 to February 2022, Tesla's average transaction price soared by 14.8 percent. However, the industry average increase year over year is at 11.4 percent. In November 2021, he gave this reply to those who criticised him for comparing VW with Tesla, as per a Reuters report.  "Even if I no longer talk about Elon Musk: he'll still be there and revolutionises our industry and keeps getting more competitive quickly." - the CEO praised Tesla's Giga Texas plant during his visit to Austin for the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival this past weekend, where the VW ID. Buzz has made its first public appearance. - "Elon's new factory - he calls it 'the machine that produces the machine' is impressive: 1.2 km long, 400m wide: all under one roof, no logistics from cell production to the final assembly. Once up and running it will very likely set some new benchmarks." - "I am so happy that we decided a new plant for Wolfsburg. Without that - no chance to compete." - Set to open in 2026, Volkswagen's new state-of-the-art facility will have an annual capacity of 250,000 vehicles. The first model to be built there will be the Project Trinity electric saloon.
