Paul Manafort was in Spain in January 2017 when the “Trump dossier” was published. He was there to “re-establish” his relationship with Oleg Deripaska, a Russian oligarch to whom he owed millions. When the former chairman of Trump's 2016 campaign returned to the United States, he presented Republicans with a plan to discredit the entire Trump/Russia investigation.  In the second episode of Ball of Thread, Marcy Wheeler unwinds how the dossier collected by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele came together and blew up. She also reveals the untold story of Steele's relationship with Deripaska and Deripaska's brutal game.  Find out how Russian disinformation helped shape the stories about the dossier, blurring the Trump campaign's relationship with the Kremlin and strategically polarizing the United States. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (12/15/2023): 3:05pm- On Wednesday, MSNBC's Monica Alba reported that the Biden Administration is concerned about the “emotional toll” a Hunter Biden drug relapse—triggered by his ongoing legal troubles—would have on his father, President Joe Biden. Could this be the excuse the White House provides for a potential pardon of Hunter? The president's son has been charged with several tax evasion felonies, as well as federal firearm charges. 3:15pm- According to new polling data from Morning Consult, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump now leads President Joe Biden in all seven swing states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup in the 2024 presidential election. You can read more here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/trump-now-leads-biden-in-all-seven-swing-states-poll/ 3:20pm- While appearing on MSNBC with Jen Psaki, Miles Taylor—a self-described member of “the resistance” within the Trump Administration following the 2016 election—claimed that if former President Donald Trump won re-election, he could punish Americans by shutting off the internet! Does anyone actually believe this nonsense? 3:30pm- Mark O'Connor—Executive Director of Family's Behind the Badge Children's Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the 4th Annual Andy Chan Holiday Block Party tonight, December 15th. Kennedy Jr., Jill Stein, and a No Labels candidate will all be on the ballot as well. 3:50pm- On Thursday, California Governor Gavin Newsom appeared as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers where he claimed to be addressing San Francisco's homeless crisis. 4:05pm- Ari Blaff of National Review writes: “A former FBI counterintelligence chief who played a pivotal role in launching the Trump-Russia probe was sentenced to just over four years in prison for assisting a sanctioned Russian oligarch after leaving his post in 2019. In August, Charles McGonigal, a 22-year veteran of the bureau's field office in New York, was found guilty of a count of conspiracy for working with Oleg Deripaska, a Russian billionaire with close ties to President Vladimir Putin. During his stint with the bureau, McGonigal received classified information that Deripaska would be designated a Russian oligarch with close ties to the Kremlin, the indictment alleged. McGonigal was legally obligated to inform the FBI of his relationship with foreign officials, which he violated by continuing communication and establishing business ties with Deripaska.” You can read Blaff's full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/fbi-official-who-helped-launch-trump-russia-probe-sentenced-to-four-years-in-prison-for-work-with-russian-oligarch/ 4:15pm- David Zimmerman of National Review writes: “The House on Thursday passed the National Defense Authorization Act, an annual defense bill that will this year include an extension of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act's Section 702, the controversial law that permits warrantless surveillance of foreign nationals. The House voted 310-118 in favor of the bill just before congressmen left for Christmas recess. The annual national-defense bill was passed by the Senate Wednesday, and is now headed to President Joe Biden's desk to be signed into law. Welcome to the George Santos Tribute Episode, lasting as long as his tenure in Congress. The Russian-linked Ponzi Scheme is on his way out. He lavishly spent campaign cash on his honeymoon in Las Vegas, spa treatments, luxury shopping sprees, Botox (he's 35!), and the naughty fun time site OnlyFans. We have questions, mostly: Did his Russian-linked backers get their money's worth by having major American embarrassment Santos in Congress? The answer is yes. On an oddly related note, super mogul Len Blavatnik, whom you're not allowed to call a Russian oligarch (or else he might sue you), owns Warner Music Group. The industry giant is developing a creepy and dangerous A.I.-generated Edith Piaf biopic. Blavatnik, whose cousin Andrea got into a screaming match with at the start of Putin's invasion of Ukraine, throws his money around, including to the Democratic Party and the Council on Foreign Relations. As explained in this episode, this is reputation laundering and influence peddling, given Blavatnik's well-documented ties to Putin's court of oligarchs. Are you ready for this? Blavatnik is a longtime friend and business partner of notorious sanctioned “Putin wallet” Viktor Vekselberg in various oligarchy-type ventures like Rusal, Russia's largest aluminum company owned by Oleg Deripaska, that thug who won the aluminum wars during the car bomb 1990s in Russia. (Paul Manafort was on the hook to Deripaska for a bunch of money in a media venture gone wrong, and made it up to him by running Donald Trump's presidential campaign in 2016…for free). Blavatnik's friend/business partner Vekselberg has a seemingly unlucky cousin named Andrew Intrater, a financier who gave George Soros $625,000 to invest in a Florida based fund that turned out to be a Ponzi scheme. Despite losing all that money, Intrater went on to put his full trust in Santos by pumping his Congressional campaign full of cash. A campaign that turned out to be…you guessed it, a Ponzi scheme. It should be noted that longtime friends and associates Intrater, Vekselberg, and Blavatnik all gave heavily to Trump's inaugural committee–otherwise known as a Russian victory lap.  This week's bonus episode includes questions from listeners on topics ranging from white rage extremism and who's tracking it, to how to stay hopeful during these dark times. If you didn't hear your question answered this week, look out for it soon! Next week's bonus episode will be the Make Art Workshop–a thank you to our community and a way for us to build up our resilience and fight back with joy. EPISODE 142: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:42) SPECIAL COMMENT: Merrick Garland is going to appear in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday morning. And it looks like there'll be yet another new and big and shiny thing to ask him about, about the arrested ex-FBI man Charles McGonigal and the Russian linked via Paul Manafort to Trump, Oleg Deripaska. Once, McGonigal was in charge of investigating Deripaska. The next thing you knew, he was WORKING FOR Deripaska. Exactly WHEN that happened keeps changing. 2020? 2019? Now it's 2018? Could it have been 2016? Judiciary Chair Dick Durban and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse want to know, and they want to know if Garland knows if McGonigal was aware of his FBI New York Field Office and how it was already trying to fix the 2016 election for Trump by forcing James Comey to re-smear Hillary Clinton eleven days before the election. Meanwhile Trump CAN get the GOP nomination because the GOP hierarchy is moronic: it actually believes it has "cornered" him by demanding a pledge of all would-be nominees to support whoever gets the nomination because OF COURSE he always lives up to his promises. And Tucker Carlson doubles down on the January 6th video scam. B-Block (18:08) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: First you could say "Dilbert" isn't funny. Then you could say it isn't appropriate. Now, after Scott Adams' racist rant, you can say it just...isn't. Happily Elon Musk is there to defend him. And the Department of Energy says Covid-19 was a lab leak? Oh they say it with "low confidence" that they're right? And it's the Department of ENERGY? (21:43) In sports: baseball's pitch clock seems to work (I'll be DAMNED), but where is it going to come up with the money to pay Manny Machado? Four more Regional Sports Networks pumping baseball (and the NBA and NHL) full of cash say they will likely go bankrupt within a month. (25:20) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Did the anti-Drag governor of Tennessee dress up IN drag in High School? Why does one writer keep calling CNN's Chris "Maybe Ate Paste" Licht a genius when he's never finished higher than last in the ratings? And how do you spell "NINTH" and "TWELFTH"? Don't ask the Florida Department of Education - the folks there have no clue. C-Block (32:00) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Peanut, in North Carolina, who weighs 20 pounds when she should weigh 60, needs your help. (33:15) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: On one day I was supposed to have coffee - at her invitation, as a prelude to a date, with Uma Thurman, AND the president of Current TV was taking me to dinner to explain how we could get rid of the idiot co-owner who didn't know what "DVR" was and so bought ratings showing only "Live" viewers, not "Live + DVR" viewers. Gaslit Nation has been studying Russian oligarch-aiding FBI traitors since our podcast launched in 2018, and what did we get for our diligent efforts? Yet another traitor! This week we discuss the indictment of Charlie McGonigal, the former top counterintelligence official in the New York field office who was secretly working for mega-oligarch Oleg Deripaska while pretending to investigate him. (You may remember Deripaska from our classic T-shirt slogan “You can't make a deal with the guy who won the aluminum wars in the car bomb 1990s in Russia, you just can't.” Rolls right off the tongue!)   We analyze the McGonigal case in the context of familiar Gaslit Nation topics – the top heads of the FBI who went on to work for the Russian mafia, how James Comey betrayed America to serve Semyon Mogilevich, the strange behavior of the FBI and the media during the 2016 election, the partnership between Deripaska and Paul Manafort, the partnership between Deripaska and Mitch McConnell, the desire of McConnell to make Merrick Garland head of the FBI as all this illegal activity was transpiring, and how the McGonigal case and general FBI treason affects Russia's war on Ukraine. This episode was recorded during our second ever Gaslit Nation Live Event and we thank everyone who showed up for this historic occasion!   For our bonus, which will be out on Friday, we answered a LOT of questions from our Patreon subscribers! EPISODE 119: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) OF McGONIGAL, DERIPASKA, AND MANAFORT, Part 1: Even at this late date, the ex-FBI executive arrested Saturday, Charles McGonigal, could put Donald Trump in jail forever. McGonigal is not only facing prison for working for Russian oligarch and election conspiracist Oleg Deripaska, but when the FBI revived the "But Her Emails" smear against Hillary Clinton 11 days before the 2016 election and three days later leaked it had "cleared" Trump, McGonigal was the head of the FBI's 2016 Trump-Russia investigation. He's the centerpiece of TWO of the plots to install Trump, and his arrest should start the entire investigation of the Trump-Russia Conspiracy. B-Block (13:34) OF McGONIGAL, DERIPASKA, AND MANAFORT, Part 2: McGonigal, like Paul Manafort, became an employee of Putin crony Deripaska. It's time again to examine Manafort, in bed with Deripaska to the tune of $60,000,000 and appearing in front of Tom Barrack right after Trump lost the Iowa Caucuses saying "I've got to GET TO TRUMP." His story, and the timeline that led McGonigal to a prison cell. C-Block (31:55) OF McGONIGAL, DERIPASKA, AND MANAFORT, Part 3: Suddenly the picture looks so familiar: emails, a computer, gaslighting. It's time to remember the horrible feeling of the morning the sun did not rise: November 9, 2016, and to launch either a Senate or Presidential investigation of the successful Trump-Russia plot to install him in the White House before they succeed again.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

They've arrested retired FBI agent Charles McGonigal, of the lead FBI investigators of 2016 Russian Electoral Interference by Putin-friendly Russian oligarch Oleg Derpiaska. The allegation? That McGonigal has spent the last year secretly working FOR OLEG DERIPASKA. And if that doesn't make you scratch your head, remember that one of Deripaska's employees was a consultant named Paul Manafort and by total coincidence one of Trump's campaign managers was a consultant named Paul Manafort. Plus updates on Biden's documents (we're up to EIGHT different stories now) and how the Arizona Senate race just changed, activating Kyrsten Sinema's aversion to three-ways. B-Block (16:28) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Robin; (17:42) IN SPORTS: Angels not for sale, Hall of Fame may not get any electees; Local newscaster struggles with the hockey name "Canucks." And "Boudreau." And "Tocchet." (23:27) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Mike Pompeo smears Jamal Khashoggi, Elon Musk again, and the M&M Nonsense fight for the honors. C-Block (29:08) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Since it's baseball Hall of Fame announcement day, the story of the time I was asked at age 20 to call Willie Mays after he was banned from the game. A woman answered. Or it sounded like a woman. But it also sounded like Willie. And that's when the fun began.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In light of the DOJ's indictment of Russian Oligarch Oleg Derispaska, we thought it worth examining Deripaska's ties to various individuals involved with SpyGate. To be very clear from the outset, we are not attempting to argue that Derispaska is somehow a good guy or a white hat—quite the opposite. We think Deripaska may have effectively served as the originator of the Steele dossier in his ongoing quest for a U.S. Visa. But an examination of Deripaska's contacts with a number of recognizable and notable figures over the years is surprisingly illuminating. ⭕️Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV

That the fraudulent, media-hyped Russiagate fiasco was a colossal waste of civic energy is now beyond doubt to all but the most bitterly partisan.  But scant attention has been paid to its enablement of the tragic Russian invasion of Ukraine.  The premise of “Russian collusion” was that Vladimir Putin was assisting Donald Trump in defeating Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.  Even though collusion was never proven, the conclusion is still being bruited about that Putin wished Trump to win.  If, to the contrary, Putin was in fact actively seeking to defeat Trump, this attempt may provide insight into the whys and wherefores of his Ukraine invasion.  To be sure, the trivial and ineffective Russian bot farm postings were laughable and likely done for private profit, not geopolitical effect.  But whatever the motivation, they were admittedly inconsequential.  But what did move the needle in our domestic politics was the Russiagate scandal itself, interfering with Trump's agenda while magnifying his contentious style, perhaps causing enough marginal diminution in his support to affect the 2020 U.S. election outcome. So, yes, the Clinton campaign may have unwittingly caused the election of Joe Biden in 2020.  But was this collusion hoax solely the action of Clinton and her domestic supporters in the media and government?  More to the point, was Vladimir Putin a willing ally of Clinton in this fabrication? Let's examine the evidence. Prior to 2016, Clinton had been nothing but a seemingly corrupt and compromised patsy of Putin, a fact ignored by the media.  One of the first acts of President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton was to unilaterally, without quid pro quo, remove military installations in Poland and the Czech Republic pointing sophisticated defensive missiles toward Russia.  This technology could have been used as an effective deterrent or a weapon in defense of Ukraine. Clinton also encouraged, as part of the “Russian Reset,” the transfer of dual-use technology to the “Russian Silicon Valley” at Skolkovo, over the objection of the U.S. Defense Department, enriching Clinton Foundation supporters in both Russia and America.  Then, when Clinton's State Department held the sole “equity” vote, it approved the sale of Uranium One,  quickly transferred to Putin's Rosatom.  Now Putin had enhanced military power as well as uranium pricing power, including to America's nuclear power industry.  The financial beneficiaries of the Uranium One deal contributed $150-350 million to the Clinton Foundation, which housed many of her campaign staff.  Eleven Russian intelligence agents hovering around the Uranium One deal were arrested and sent back quickly to Russia, without any attempts to cajole the inside story of a seemingly corrupt transaction.  Clinton's heirs then pushed the destabilizing Iran Nuclear Deal, with Russia the major nuclear contractor for Iran, using Russia as an intermediary for the negotiations.  Of course, this same State Department approved of Putin's march across Ukraine to take over Crimea in 2014, with our government providing only non-lethal assistance such as blankets and MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) in support of Ukraine.   And let us also not forget that in 2010, Clinton's State Department encouraged and facilitated Ukraine's surrendering of over 1.1 million light arms and shoulder-fired missile launchers in exchange for vaguely worded security assurances.  So, when the 2016 U.S. presidential election came around, would any rational person believe that Putin wished Trump to defeat the highly compromised and highly compromisable Clinton?  But what evidence is there that Putin sought to help Clinton and defeat Trump?     Hired by the Clinton campaign through Fusion GPS, ex-spy Christopher Steele (author of the infamous Steele Dossier) had as a longstanding client Oleg Deripaska, Putin's close friend and aluminum oligarch.  For years, Steele's Orbis Business Intelligence had touted Deripaska as a “good oligarch” in over 100 intelligence reports to U.S. government agencies.  In 2016, Steele was hired by Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS to perform lucrative work for Prevezon Holdings, a Russian company owned by the family of oligarch Denis Katsyv.  Prevezon was fighting a U.S. court seizure of $230 million taken by the American government under the Magnitsky Act, an anti-Putin law caused by the killing of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky.  Who did Steele hire as his primary subsource to prepare his Dossier?  One Igor Danchenko, suspected and never exonerated as a Russian spy. Danchenko received a crucial piece of his false narrative from close, longtime Clinton ally, Charles Dolan, connected to him through seeming Russian intelligence asset Olga Galkina.  But was Dolan also a Russian agent?  Yes, he was a publicly disclosed Russian PR agent whom the Washington Postreportedhad the trust and respect of Putin's inner circle.  While Danchenko hid Dolan's involvement, Dolan at the time of the Dossier was actively working with Russian Embassy officials (read: intelligence agents).  Steele also informed the State Department that he used as his sources Vyacheslav Trubnikov, the former Director of Russian intelligence service SVR, and Vladislav Surkov, “Putin's Rasputin,” working closely with Putin in the Kremlin.  Were these Russian agents working against Putin's wishes in exposing a Putin-Trump conspiracy?  If they were doing so, wouldn't their faces soon be found in their cereal bowls?  So, it seems obvious that, completely contrary to the cartoonish narrative adopted by the media, this Russian collusion story was actively assisted by Vladimir Putin, and that there was indeed collusion … between Putin and Clinton. Recall that as of July 28, 2016, John Brennan's CIA had already gained Russian intelligence showing that Clinton's foreign policy advisor, Jake Sullivan, had been the author of the hoax, and revealing that Russia was up to the minute on it.  What was Putin's motive in assisting Clinton by allowing his close allies to participate in the hoax?  There is no reason to believe but that in 2016 Putin wished to make Ukraine a vassal state.  He knew then that Clinton would likely willingly play ball, and in any case could be so compelled by strong kompromat.  While in office barely three months, Trump lobbed missiles into the joint Syrian-Russian Shayrat airbase in retaliation for use of chemical weapons.  He also ordered a successful drone strike against Iran (Russian ally) General Qassim Soleimani, seemingly planning terrorist action.  During Trump's term, Putin did not even feint at full-scale invasion of Ukraine.  But, as soon as Joe Biden was elected, Putin amassed troops on the Ukraine border.  Meanwhile, Biden, through National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, the author of the Russiagate fabrication, sought Russian and Iranian oil to backstop dwindling American fossil fuel production, while seeking Russian aid to restart the Iranian nuclear talks. Almost immediately, Biden and Sullivan paused a large package of lethal American weapons aid to Ukraine, later halting the transfer to Ukraine of MIGs from Poland, while doing nothing to rattle sabers at Putin in advance of the invasion.  Indeed, Biden seemed to be offering Putin an engraved invitation, assuring him that America would not take action in Ukraine's defense. In short, Putin did not suddenly, in early 2021, begin to wish a Ukraine invasion.  Even though he did not successfully help Clinton get elected in 2016, because of his support of the Russiagate deceit Putin got an even weaker United States President in Biden. So, the Russiagate canard had far more than domestic partisan effect, as wished by Clinton, American intelligence agencies and the partisan media.  Our nation's global security, and that of our allies, as well as food and energy security, have all been catastrophically impacted by a media hungry to accept uncritically any leftist partisan narrative, no matter how obviously fabricated.    This media malpractice has harmed our country profoundly.  Will there be any media self-reflection, or at least criticism of Clinton and Biden for their longstanding weakness toward Russia?  Don't count on it.

Jene schwerreichen Russen also, deren Anwesen und Besitztümer Städte in Europa schmücken.

Washington Times: New intel chief pivotal in releasing classified dossier bombshell Richard Grenell removes redactions showing Kremlin fed disinformation to Christopher Steele Two Republican senators knew of some explosive details lurking inside an inspector general’s report when on April 2 they reached out to Richard Grenell, the newly installed acting director of national intelligence who was already making his mark in just two months. The senators had read classified footnotes that showed Russia fed disinformation for the infamous Christopher Steele dossier used by the FBI to try to bring down President Trump. They wanted the secret spilled, legally. https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/apr/19/richard-grenell-reveals-russia-fed-christopher-ste/ Coup d'Etat Page 50: "Steele’s reports led readers to conclude that Trump had been colluding with Russia, with both sides trading favors, in a series of lucrative real estate and development business deals in Russia, especially in connection with the 2018 World Cup, which was hosted by Russia. *is, plus various claims Trump had worked with Russian oligarchs to convince Putin to allow Trump to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, set up the basis for arguing that Putin had “compromised” Trump." Page 51: "Emails document that as early as January 12, 2016, when Steele sent Ohr a New Year’s greeting, he brought up the case of Oleg Deripaska— the Russian billionaire aluminum magnate and close associate of Vladimir Putin—who at that time was trying to get a visa to visit the United States to attend an Asia-Pacific economic meeting." "Deripaska had ties with former senator John McCain and Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign manager who Mueller prosecuted for tax evasion regarding o2shore banking accounts that Manafort maintained from his work overseas, including his work in Ukraine." Coup d'Etat goes on to expose the links between Cabal members, their spouses, their government positions, and the wicked web woven to weaponize all of the members and their relationships, in order to take down first candidate Trump, and then President Trump. The Supreme Court took no action today on the Trump administration's plans to shut down a program that shields some 700,000 young undocumented immigrants from deportation. The court's inaction almost certainly means it will not hear the administration's challenge in its current term, which ends in June. The justices' next private conference to consider petitions seeking review is scheduled for February 15. Even were they to agree to hear the case then, it would not be argued until after the next term starts in October. What does this mean for DACA going forward? So, with the court's inaction today, are people celebrating, or is this just a positive step in a very long journey?Jailed Press TV anchor Marzieh Hashemi appeared in court in Washington, DC, last week before a grand jury. Her children were also called in to testify and were not allowed to speak with her. No charges have been filed. Her son Hossein Hashemi told the Associated Press that his mother would have been willing to cooperate with the FBI and did not need to be jailed as a material witness. He says no one in his family can fathom why she would be considered a material witness for federal investigators. What going on here? The Supreme Court on Tuesday revived the Trump administration's policy of barring most transgender people from serving in the military. In a brief, unsigned order, the justices temporarily allowed the ban to go into effect while cases challenging it move forward. The vote was 5 to 4, with the court's five conservative members in the majority and its four liberal members in dissent. What dose this mean for transgender Americans who want to serve in the military, and will there be a ripple effect into other sectors of American society?According to the New York Times, "When the Trump administration announced last month that it was lifting sanctions against a trio of companies controlled by an influential Russian oligarch, it cast the move as tough on Russia and on the oligarch, arguing that he had to make painful concessions to get the sanctions lifted. But a binding confidential document signed by both sides suggests that the agreement the administration negotiated with the companies controlled by the oligarch, Oleg V. Deripaska, may have been less punitive than advertised." What's going on here? What were the implications on aluminum prices as Trump's sanctions took effect?A crowd of teenagers surrounded a Native American elder and other activists and appeared to mock them after Friday's Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial. Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky is closing today over security concerns. Protests were originally planned for today outside of the school but were held outside the Diocese of Covington instead. Students from Covington were thrown into the national spotlight over the weekend when a video emerged of one student wearing a Make America Great Again hat facing off with Native American activist Nathan Phillips. Nick Sandmann, a junior at Covington Catholic High School, who said he is the student in the video, said he was trying to defuse a tense situation and denied insinuations that anyone in the crowd was acting out of racism or hatred. How did this story really unfold, and did the media stir up a provocative and sensational visual for a situation that proved to be more complex than originally described?
