Send us a Text Message.Bisexuality, sensationalism, and celebrity antics—topics too hot to handle? We think not. Strap in as we dissect the recent uproar over Joe and Diddy's alleged escapades, while shining a light on the sensationalism that often clouds public perception of sexuality. The conversation takes a serious turn as we delve into the darker side of party culture, unpacking the troubling objectification of women through a hypothetical involving someone named Marjorie at a fraternity event. We don't shy away from the unpleasant reality of social media spats either, as we recount the fiery feud between former associate Raqi and Emanny, exposing the raw nerves and personal attacks that ensue when private grievances spill into the public domain. From online personas to real-world confrontations, the drama unfolds as we scrutinize an intense debate that silenced the voice of black women in social spaces. The episode veers into confessional territory with Emanny's startling revelations about Raqi and Floyd Mayweather's past, offering a rare glimpse into the complexities of personal relationships. Prepare for an emotional ride as we lay bare the disturbing details of a leaked video showing Diddy in a moment of alleged aggression. Confronting the uncomfortable dynamics of victim-blaming head-on, we challenge the societal norms that enable such behavior, all while reflecting on the often-glamorized media portrayals of violence in contrast to their grim reality.
On this episode of Bully and the Beast, Wax and Lore'l bring on former cast member from Love and Hip Hop, Raqi. After giving advice to a couple of listeners, crew spills some JUICY tea...about Floyd Mayweather, Joe budden and more!!
Today's To The Moon episode is extra special because our guest, Raqi Zidane, an Iraqi war survivor who makes a fortune in real estate. Raqi holds an extra special place in my heart and in my life. Not only is he an Astro student but he has also become a personal friend. I admire him for how he is as a family man, teaching his children about real estate at their young age, and how he is as a student, always sharing to other people his time and his knowledge, always genuinely willing to help brand new students, making sure that they don't feel alone and that they know they are part of the Astro community. This real estate rockstar shares how he first started. He recalls how his dream began 2003, when the US troops rescued his family from the war zones in Iraq and Bagdad. He had started working in barber shops when he was 18 and even though he was always been laughed at by his classmates at school for not being able to speak in English, he didn't let that affect him. He knew his strength was connecting with people since he had started working at a young age and he was determined to overcome that language barrier and go to college. He made it to college however because of an accident, he had to stop for a season and he switched to aviation where he became a mechanic. Life was going smooth and steady until Covid hits and the company he was working for had to shut down. That time that he felt worried about his family's future was when Raqi found real estate. He first discovered Jerry Norton's YouTube channel and learned as much as he can on his own. It was only in 2021 that he had met me during a meet-up Pace and I had in Atlanta, and after a 2-minute conversation, he joined the Astroflipping community. He jumped into my mentorship headfirst, very much determined to succeed in his real estate investing journey, and he did succeed. And that was because of his go-giver mentality, and all the work, the time, the effort, the sweat and the blood that he had put in. It was impossible for Raqi not to succeed. He makes $70,000 in a month which is so much more than he ever makes in a year with his job as an aviation mechanic. Raqi now not only has a company doing wholesale deals but he's also into buy and hold and acquiring properties that cash flow. Raqi's life is more than an inspiration. He is a living proof that in life you always have a choice. Raqi could have chosen to live in self pity and with a victim's mindset with all the depressing events that he and his family went through in Iraq but he chose not to. Raqi chose to be an overcomer, a go-giver, a person who's determined to continue growing and becoming better every single day. Raqi's market is Atlanta GA. Go and connect with Raqi! The Tech Abilities Studio was organized prepared and then, we went off the rails. Even the best of planning did not stop the spontaneity from over-riding the intent of an outline. Is this a bad thing? You be the judge. You can listen using the chapter feature if your player has it, or just take it all in one big binge. Serina, Raqi, Jesse and Jeff jump the tracks and go in depth on unintended segues that are thought provoking and yes, the spontaneous nature made it through the editing process and defied Raqi's claim that Jeff does not like spontaneous. The Tech Abilities crew just expanded their reach and now cover the 4 time zones. Serina, Raqi and Jeff welcomes Jesse Anderson and Lisa salinger to the Tech Abilities team. We started out sticking to the show notes and soon enough, they tossed me aside like an Android tablet! Ok, maybe not that bad; however, this show went on and on through the tech world and the experiences that build our decisions on what we like and do not like. Most of all, we realize not one of us use our devices like the other and our opinions vary, so keep that in mind as we speak our minds and try to give an honest evaluation. With that said, this episode has chapters and the times are written below for easy navigation. A shoutout to Marlon for his vocal contributions and eating all the cookies. Today Jeff and Raqi are joined in the studio by Brandon Biggs, inclusive designer and Engineer with The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute (SKI), the foremost organization for vision research in the U. s. Brandon is involved in three major projects at SKI, including the development of the Cam IO app, which allows blind and visually impaired individuals to digitally annotate and navigate objects, such as appliances, iNavigate, an indoor way-finding app, and Audiom, an audio variation of Maps. In this podcast, Brandon will focus on Audiom. Brandon shares his journey to Smith-Kettlewell by way of his educational path, which traversed not only the U. S., but to Italy, Malta, The Netherlands and Canada as well. He also describes the similarities and differences in the ways those countries approach their disabled communities with accessibility efforts, many of which are more focused on Blindness initiatives, but are behind the U. S. in other areas. Brandon intends to advance his career in app development and data management as a scientist at Smith-Kettlewell, and will relocate to Georgia Tech University, in Atlanta, Ga. to pursue his PhD. The Audiom project is one which involves use of maps, to plot out the geographical layout of cities and buildings, and to convert that data into an audio format for use by visually impaired users. Audiom uses real world sounds to depict points of data for users, such as dishes clattering for restaurants, or beeps for ATM machines. Audiom also uses traditional conventions such as first person and list view from Video games like Swamp or Heroes Call which are quickly spatially conveyed into useful navigational information for blind users. Stay tuned down the road as this project promises to evolve into a helpful means for mapping geographical data into a usable tool for the Blind. Be sure to set aside a few minutes to hear this fascinating guest speak of his passion for his work and its future impact on the lives of the Blind and Visually Impaired around the World. You can find out more about the Audiom project, as well as iNavigate and Cam IO on Smith-Kettlewell’s website,:. And, while they are not yet beta testing, if you are interested in helping test the Audiom app, send an email to Audiom@SKI.Org, You will be notified when they are ready for Beta testers. RaqiG, Serina and Jeff join together to talk tech, smack and some week old Spring Loaded news. Marlon storms back and joins Jeff in the creatives corner to add some news relief. Air Tags are selling fast and iOS 14.5 is out and you can keep that mask on, if you sport an Apple Watch that is. Serina orders a new LG Gram laptop, graduates from AFB Leadership 2021 program, gives us a tease about the COSORI 12-in-1 Air Fryer and forgets to order Air Tags, hmm. Twitch removes 'blind playthrough' tag after feedback over ableist language The streaming site's director of community and creator marketing Erin 'Aureylian' Wayne tweeted the news, saying Twitch had removed the 'blind playthrough' tag. The term was often used by streamers to denote they would be playing a game for the first time, unaware of the controls, mechanics, story and premise. But following feedback from viewers, Twitch has changed this to "encourage more inclusive language for our community." "You can still use the 'first playthrough' or opt to use it in combination with 'no spoilers' for the same sentiment," Wayne tweeted. "Just as we used to say 'gay' when something was bad, using disability terms as an alternative word for a negative situation or feeling is common in today's language," he wrote. Full Transcript 3 is company and we were feeling Pretty, Pretty Good once we got the iOS14 downloaded and up and running on our various versions of the iPhone. Raqi and Jeff virtually High-5 each other and Serina just shrugs. With the new iOS full of features that extend beyond the reach of the iPhone 10, there was a lot to talk about and the Time Flies event was nearly the opposite. Kind of a lack luster event unless you were waiting for the new Apple Watch Series 6 or SE or an iPad in Sky Blue. Raqi, Serina and Jeff dig in and give their opinions and share some experiences with the iOS14 features. Jeff having beta tested for some time brought his unique perspective while Raqi dove deep into the Air Bud Pros, while Serina talked continuously about October. Hmm. Below is a list of topics covered in this deep dive into the Apple Orchard minus a few iPhone Apples. Hmm. Jeff gives a few demos, Voice Recognition and Precise and Approximate Location Settings. iOS14: What iPhones get all the latest and greatest features? iPhone 10R and newer including the SE 2020 Accessibility VoiceOver Recognition On-device intelligence recognizes key elements displayed on your screen to add VoiceOver support for app and web experiences that don’t have accessibility support built in. Image descriptions VoiceOver reads complete-sentence descriptions of images and photos within apps and on the web. Text recognition VoiceOver speaks the text it identifies within images and photos. Screen recognition VoiceOver automatically detects interface controls to aid in navigating your apps, making them more accessible. Headphone Accommodations This new accessibility feature is designed to amplify soft sounds and adjust certain frequencies for an individual’s hearing, to help music, movies, phone calls, and podcasts sound more crisp and clear.12 Headphone Accommodations also supports Transparency mode on AirPods Pro, making quiet voices more audible and tuning the sounds of your environment to your hearing needs. Sound Recognition Sound Recognition uses on-device intelligence to notify users who might otherwise miss audible environmental alerts around them. On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, users receive a notification when a particular type of sound or alert, such as a fire alarm or doorbell, is detected. Back Tap Built to create a simple and easy way to trigger convenient tasks for those with accessibility needs. A quick double or triple tap on the back of your iPhone can be configured to trigger a number of actions, such as opening the Magnifier, or starting VoiceOver when your iPhone is in your pocket. It can even map to common system features such as Control Center, or accessibility-specific activities such as Switch Control actions. Sign language prominence FaceTime can now detect when a participant is using sign language and make the person prominent in a Group FaceTime call. Widgets Add widgets to keep important information front and center. Touch any app icon, then flick up until you hear, “edit mode”, and single-finger double tap the Add Widget button located at the top left-hand corner of the screen. Choose a widget in the gallery, then choose a size. The smaller sizes take up less space and provide less info as opposed to the large size. The space the widget takes up moves the overflo to the next page and not incorporating them into the next page that was previously there. Nice, as when you get rid of the widget, all springs back to normal. You can stack the widgets. Smart Stack Widget The Smart Stack shows you relevant information throughout the day — like the weather forecast or route to your next event. Choose Smart Stack from the widget list. You can edit what is in the smart stack by single-finger double tapping on the widget while in edit mode. Change order or delete a particular choice. App Library To see all your apps neatly categorized, 3-finger swipe left on the Home Screen until you see the App Library. It is the last page. Apps are sorted into groups, such as Recently Added and Social. At the top of the screen is a search bar. Each category will say how many apps are in the folder and the apps will be in an A-Z format. Reply to a specific message: In a group conversation in the messages app, you can single double tap a hold on any message and respond to that particular message. After single-finger double tapping, flick up or down to your desired option of copy, reply or respond with emoji like thumbs up. Pinning conversations: Up to 9 conversations Group photos: Give your group conversation a visual identity by adding a photo or Memoji, or choose an emoji. Send audio messages: When you want to be more expressive in your messages, you can now easily send audio messages with Siri. Password monitoring: Safari securely monitors your saved passwords to ensure that they have not been compromised in a data breach. To do this, Safari uses strong cryptographic techniques to regularly check derivations of your passwords against a list of breached passwords in a secure and private way that doesn’t reveal your password information — even to Apple. Air Pod Pros Spatial Audio Go to Bluetooth settings, swipe down to air pod pros, flick up to more info, and go down to Spatial Audio. Bring surround sound where ever you go! Headphone Accommodations, Hear sounds that may need some tweaking for better hearing situations. Movies, phone, music. Automatic switching Seamlessly move between devices without manually switching your AirPods. If you finish a phone call on your iPhone and pick up your iPad to watch a movie, AirPods automatically switch over. Works with AirPods Pro, AirPods (2nd generation), EarPods, Powerbeats, Powerbeats Pro, and Beats Solo Pro. Audio Sharing for Apple TV Connect two sets of AirPods to your Apple TV 4K so you can enjoy movies and shows with someone else without disturbing others. Works with AirPods Pro, AirPods (1st generation) or later, Powerbeats, Powerbeats Pro, Beats Solo Pro, Powerbeats3 Wireless, Beats Solo3 Wireless, Beats Studio3 Wireless, and BeatsX. Requires tvOS 14. Upgrade to Sign in with Apple Easily switch to Sign in with Apple when logging in to participating apps. You’ll keep the account you already use, but have one less password to keep track of. Approximate location Share only your approximate location rather than your exact location — perfect for apps like local news or weather. Augmented reality. ARKit 4 introduces Location Anchors, allowing developers to place AR experiences, like life‑size art installations or navigational directions, at a specific point in the world. Add captions to photos Open photo, swipe down to photo then flick up to show details, from the top swipe down to add a caption. Voice Memos. The most popular audio recording app in the world gets new tools for organizing recordings. An all‑new Enhance Recording feature lets you improve the sound quality of your recordings with a single tap. Open recording, tap on play and then tap on enhance. Removes background/floor noise. Muhammad Tim Humble is from Newcastle & graduated from the famous faculty of hadeeth and Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Madinah in 2011. Ustadh Tim Humble is a British revert, who has ijaza in the six famous books of hadeeth. He is also experienced in the field of Ruqyah, the Islamic method of healing with the Quran, specializing in treatment for black magic and evil eye. He accepted Islam at the age of 14 & is currently involved with a dawah organisation called IDC North East which is based in & around Newcastle. Tim Humble became interested in Islam during Religious Education classes in Primary School. After researching it further on the internet he accepted Islam at the age of 14. Thereafter he went through a period of 4-5 years where he struggled to implement and practice his new-found faith. The Muslim community in his hometown was unwelcoming and unhelpful to New Muslims. In his own words, “One of the biggest problems we have in the Ummah is that we are excellent at selling the religion; we’re great salesmen…What we’re really, really rubbish at is keeping them in Islam once they become Muslim.” A suggestion by a friend sparked the idea of studying in the Islamic University of Madinah. During his first Hajj pilgrimage he applied to and was accepted into the University. He graduated from the Faculty of Hadeeth Studies in 2011. Notably he memorized and is certified in the six canonical works of hadeeth. Enjoy this interview and please give us a rating on Apple Podcasts or Stitcher or Spotify apps... Love what we doing?
