This week's stories 2022 iPad Pro gets speed boost from M2 chip but no new ports Apple unveiled new iPad Pro models with the M2 processor, which brings a 15% speed boost to the tablets. But Tuesday's announcement was a disappointment for those hoping for wireless charging or more ports. New entry-level iPad 10 looks more Pro than ever Apple gave the 2022 version of the basic iPad a larger screen, USB-C, a faster processor and other enhancements. And the Home button is gone. But along with the new features comes a huge 36% price increase. Enter to win a rugged Apple Watch accessory bundle [Cult of Mac giveaway] If you want a tactical-looking Apple Watch band that doesn't skimp on comfort, the Mifa Nylon Sports Leather Band is for you. In this week's giveaway, you can win one — along with an Elkson Quattro Bumper Case that will protect your Apple Watch from whatever mayhem you might get into. New $249 Magic Keyboard Folio goes with iPad 10 While the iPad 10 costs much more than previous versions, starting at $449 instead of $329, if you want the detachable keyboard and stand Apple now makes for it, you have to add another $249. Absurd Apple Pencil dongle sends fans into spiral of grief The decision to make the all-new iPad compatible with the original Apple Pencil looks likely to go down as one of Apple's most ridiculous design decisions. Logitech Crayon offers kid-friendly USB-C active stylus for iPad 10 The latest version of the Logitech Crayon iPad stylus charges via USB-C, just like the new iPad 10. That makes it a simpler option than the Apple Pencil 1 that still uses Lightning. And the stylus is designed with children in mind. New Apple TV 4K is faster and cheaper Apple has unveiled the 2022 Apple TV 4K with significantly faster internals and a lower price. It features the same A15 Bionic chip found inside the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 series. macOS Ventura and iPadOS 16 are coming on October 24 After months of beta testing, Apple is finally ready to release iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura to the public. Both OSes will release on October 24.

Eight — yes, eight! — new Apple devices were launched at the Far Out event. (Gadgets 360 was there!) And you can pre-order most of them this week. Gadgets 360 executive editor Jamshed Avari, reviews editor Roydon Cerejo, and senior reviewer Sheldon Pinto join Orbital host Akhil Arora to discuss all of them. In India, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are more expensive than ever, starting at Rs. 1,29,900 and Rs. 1,39,900, respectively. For that money, you get an all-new design with Dynamic Island, an always-on display that looks cool as heck, and a new 48-megapixel main camera. The iPhone 14, however, retains pricing status quo — Rs. 79,900 — but sadly, it's saddled with last year's A15 Bionic chip. It's also now the most affordable option, with a new 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus coming in at Rs. 89,900. Over in the wrist section, Apple has introduced the Watch Ultra with a bonkers Rs. 89,900 tag. It's almost twice as heavy as the new Series 8, which has some new sensors but not much. There's also a new Watch SE, with the same chipset as others, and the same old launch price. Lastly, there's the AirPods Pro 2, which are also more expensive than before at Rs. 26,900. For that, you get a new H2 chip, longer battery life, and personalised spatial audio. Phew, we are done. Hit play to hear us delve into all those announcements, sprinkled with hands-on first impressions. Follow Gadgets 360 on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. At launch, Apple's “budget” 5G iPhone SE is flailing in India's mid-range segment. Can it compete with older iPhones and an army of Android contenders? Gadgets 360 executive editor Jamshed Avari and senior reviewer Aditya Shenoy join host Akhil Arora to talk about the iPhone SE (2022) that's now in our hands. We discuss the missing “wow” factor (a non full-HD screen), its outdated design (Jamshed likes the bezels surprisingly), and ponder the future of iPhone SE with Apple rumoured to kill off the iPhone mini. Along the way, we touch upon alternatives from the house of Apple and beyond. Thanks to the Rs. 43,900 price in India, it's worth looking at iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 11, and even the iPhone XR, depending on what you want from a phone. And of course, there's no shortage of Android competition if you're willing to look beyond Apple. Follow Gadgets 360 on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. For this week's show, Shawn, and Andy talk about this weeks announcements from Apple with the Peek Performance Event. They break down the new iPhone SE unveiling which features the A15 Bionic, the same power found in the iPhone 13. The iPhone SE will feature a smaller screen, 4.7" however with the Home Button, Touch and camera system also found in the iPhone 13, this can be a great option for those looking to a new smartphone in the iOS world with a much reduced price. While the Mac Book Air was a nice announcement with the M1 from Apple, the most exciting announcement had to be the Mac Studio and Mac Studio Display. The Benchmarks of the M1 Ultra are amazing which is included a an option for the new Mac Studio, the M1 Max also is an offering. Andy has been watching Investigation Discoveries latest show, Undercover Underage which 6 Episode run happens on Thursday Evening on ID and is streaming with the Discovery+ App. The show takes a deep look at one of the sad issues with the online world, Sexual Predators that can prey on those underage. While we might not think our children can be affected by this, the preying on the younger users online takes many forms and is sometimes hidden behind the keyboard. Andy talks with Roo Powell, the Author and speaker and creator of SOSA, Safe From Online Sex Abuse. They talk about the show itself, the reality of getting these predators in the front of Law Enforcement and how youth is groomed to give up information and put themselves in harms way which could lead to trafficking, rape and murder. It is a gritty subject yet while TechtalkRadio talks about the latest in Gadgets and Gear and internet trends, this is not a trend we need in Society. Find out more about Sosa at https://www.sosatogether.org Shawn tells us about the latest World of Warcraft Expansion and some of the Twitch Users streaming their Gameplay. https://youtu.be/__jU4nzNqpk Samsung ha presentado su nuevo Galaxy S22 y lo hace con una mala noticia para sus seguidores: ni el procesador Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 ni el Exynos 2200 consiguen batir al A15 Bionic, incluso se quedan bastante lejos de él. Intel formally introduced its 12th-generation Alder Lake CPUs yesterday, and leaked benchmarks about the Core i9-12900HK processor suggest it outperforms Apple's new M1 Max chip. And Google's newly released Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones are powered by its own custom Tensor chip, similar to Apple's new A15 Bionic-powered iPhones. Macworld executive editor Michael Simon and Computerworld executive editor Ken Mingis join Juliet to discuss how these newly released chips--and the devices they power--compare to Apple's M- and A-series chips. Then, Mario Morales, Program Vice President for Enabling Technologies and Semiconductors at IDC, and Juliet will discuss the latest about the ongoing global chip shortage. Mario will explain why the chip shortage is expected to continue into 2022, its impact on the automotive and tech industries and when the supply chain constraints may ease.

Acum are și cipul A15 Bionic.

The depth-of-field effect creates amazing focus transitions between subjects. Win one year of unlimited cloud backup from Backblaze [Cult of Mac giveaway] Apple Watch Series 7 looks like a late substitution for the upgrade Apple wanted to deliver Apple Watch Series 7 is not the upgrade most of us expected to see from Tuesday's Apple event. The new model doesn't sport the big design refresh multiple sources said was coming. It doesn't even pack a new chip. Apple Watch Series 7 Tidbits: S7 Chip, Storage Remains 32GB, USB-C Fast Charging Cable in the Box, and More MacRumors can confirm several details about the Series 7 not currently shared by Apple. First, the Apple Watch Series 7 is indeed powered with an S7 branded chip, which Apple indicates will offer the same 20% advantage in performance compared to the S5 chip found in the Apple Watch SE and Series 5 as the Apple Watch Series 6 did. New budget iPad 9 gets better video chat, doubles storage On the inside is an Apple A13 processor, an improvement over the A12 in its predecessor. Apple promises that brings 20% faster CPU and GPU performance. iPad mini gets its biggest, most amazing upgrade yet Apple today surprised us with a brand-new 2021 iPad mini — its best compact tablet to date. It sports a gorgeous new design inspired by iPad Pro, an Liquid Retina display, and a blazing-fast A15 Bionic chip with 5G connectivity. What's Still Coming in 2021 at Apple's Second Fall Event
Apple announced its latest additions to its iPhone lineup, as well as a new iPad mini, at its "California Streaming" event on Tuesday. Both devices will be powered by Apple's new A15 Bionic processor. Macworld executive editor Michael Simon and Computerworld executive editor join Juliet to discuss how the A15 processor compare to its predecessor, the A14, and how Apple may use it in future products. They also cover what the iPhone 13 and iPad mini mean for the enterprise. Plus, Michael, Ken and Juliet discuss Apple's response to the Pegasus spyware flaw.
