Don't throw those turkey bones out, use them to make this AMAZING bone broth! It tastes amazing and it's essentially FREE to make, would you be interested? Trade out your expensive grocery bought items and try this unexpected kitchen hack. Highlights: Four key nutritional components of Bone Broth Four potential benefits of consuming Bone Broth Easy steps on how to make Bone Broth at home and save money! RECIPE for Chicken Bone Broth: Ingredients: · Cooked Turkey or Chicken Bones, about 1 gallon bag worth, I use bones from two large packages of chicken · Onion, 1 quart bag full, optional · Mushroom stems, 1 quart bag full, optional · Apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp to help pull collagen out of bones · Filtered water, enough to fill the crock pot up Directions: Place cooked chicken bones, onion, mushrooms, apple cider vinegar and water into the crock pot. Set Crockpot (slow cooker) on high for 8 -10 hours and let the broth simmer. Stir occasionally. Turn the crockpot off. Remove the chicken bones and vegetables from the crock pot and toss. Place Fine Mesh strainer over a large mixing bowl. Pour the remaining broth over a strainer. This ensures that any smaller particulates are removed from the broth. Place broth in quart size glass jars with a lid. Cool immediately by refrigerating. TIP: You can place the closed jars into ice water to cool the jars quickly or add a few ice cubes to the broth to cool quickly. Use bone broth within 4-7 days, if you aren't going to use bone broth right away then I recommend freezing the bone broth in multiple 2 cup freezer safe containers for up to 4-6 months. Optional: Remove the layer of fat that may accumulate at the top of the glass jar before using. Use a fork to remove the fat from broth.

Today's episode with Christa Joy Spaeth is such a great discussion about her finding her own voice in the online ministry world. When God called her up and out, she had to discover more about who she was and who God was calling her to be; and more about God Himself. We talk about how we both came to realize what a great community the writing and speaking world can be and how she came to write her own book and help other on theirs. Enjoy today's conversation! Bio: This blessed wife, mother of two, and businesswoman is passionate about living up to God's plans for her every day. So much so that in 2022, she stepped down from her decades-long career as a Registered Dietitian at a large food manufacturing company to pursue the promptings of the Lord. In a prayer cabin called “Whisper,” He prompted her to write a seven-week devotional titled “Powerful Whispers,” which launched February 22, 2023. Since then, Christa's eyes, heart, and ears were opened to more whispers, so that she may start fulfilling her new purpose of helping the hurting and sharing the love of Christ. On this episode of Communicate for Good, Erica and her guest, Crispin Spaeth, discuss the parallels to their work when it comes to energetic language and how body language is a large part of our nonverbal communication. Crispin discusses her work with the Integrated Alexander Technique and how it can be used as a full self approach for identifying the beauty of our human design and its intrinsic relationship to competence, connection and freedom. Her integrated approach helps clients identify how we can (including insights and practical, physical actions) bring a greater intentionality to our movements and in turn our work. As leaders, this work is important for the purposes of authenticity, connection, and energy to ensure there is an energy alignment between your intention and what you want people to know, feel and then do. This is episode 30 and I am delighted to have special guest Jim Spaeth join us for two episodes to talk about his experiences at TWA. His life intersected with a number of accidents and he had a unique view of events he's going to describe working as a salesman, ticketing agent and senior manager at TWA. He's written a book called Up, Up and Astray, Memoir of an airline bachelor during the golden age of Air Travel. Jim is a great story teller, and his eye for detail captures the background to some of the accidents I've already covered, particularly in the 1960s and 70s. We start with Jim arriving in Cincinnatti in 1964 where he has just found out he'd got his schedule wrong in his attempt at joining the Cincinnatti police force and he's wondering what to do next. Little did he know what aviation had in store for him.
We're back with another episode of War Room Huddle! Today, we are joined by Steve Spaeth, CFP®, Founder and CEO of River Oak Asset Advisory out of Cincinnati, OH. Steve recently marked his one-year anniversary of going independent after leaving a billion-dollar self-built business in the wirehouse channel. Reflecting on his more than 28 years in wealth management, Steve notes that while he had success and partners who supported his growth, ultimately the wirehouse model had limitations. His decision to go independent in 2021 was based largely on his interest in deepening client relationships and optimizing his business model. In today's episode, RFG President Shannon Spotswood and Steve discuss what it's like to create a more fulfilled, intentional, and rewarding career as an independent advisory owner. It's never easy to leave a successful business that has taken years to build. Steve reflects upon his prior illusion of freedom, his passion for his clients, and how “each win matters.”Through his journey to independence, Steve acknowledges improved family connections and deeper intentionality in everything he does. Instead of putting in face time at the office, his focus is now on the things that truly matter personally and professionally. One of the most important mindset shifts for Steve is that he now holds himself accountable, rather than allowing outside influences to impact where and how he invests his time throughout the day. Earlier growth under the wirehouse model was very different than the way independent advisors grow their clientele. “Passion Prospecting” – coined by Shannon – is something that newly independent advisors often struggle with – not because they don't want to explore it, but because it is so different than what they are used to doing. Now, Steve can lead with what he enjoys doing while seeking others who also share those interests. There is almost zero challenge in attracting the right clients when he hosts events that surround those activities. He has experienced incredible growth from this strategy. Steve recommend advisors make an effort to know where every client likes to eat out, what they like to do in their spare time, and make an effort to connect with them outside of the office. Building a true relationship is key to earning trust and delivering advice. In conclusion, Steve shares his advice for both younger and more seasoned advisors. For experienced advisors like himself, Steve shares that it's easy to keep your blinders on. It may feel like you have a multitude of resources at your disposal, but you should look beyond your existing toolset for other places that may offer better technology, deeper resources and more accessible support. The big custodial name on client statements matters a lot less to clients than advisors think. In fact, all of his clients came with him when he announced his transition, and that is a reflection that relationships and quality service are the two most important catalysts for client retention. As for his advice for younger advisors considering independence, he shares that it really is true that most independent advisors say, “I should have done this sooner.” Join the conversation to hear all about:● 04:30: Why independence after building a multi-billion wirehouse practice.● 07:55: Time management as an independent advisor.● 09:02: Impact of the transition on family.● 11:15: Building enterprise value on your personal balance sheet.● 15:05: Creating the ideal base of operations.● 17:30: Attracting the right clientele.● 20:00: Refining your story as an independent advisor.● &

Follow up to the #1 most downloaded episode of Mindset Hackers with Natalie Spaeth! Reaction is Re-Action. Suppression is repression. Re-living the past. You get triggered which causes you to get angry, your body goes into fight, flight or freeze mode. The trauma and significant events in our past often dictate what happens to us in the future. And trauma isn't always a tragic event like a serious accident or someone close to you dying in front of you. Trauma is a shock to your nervous system and it stays with you. We repeat the same patterns and get emotionally stuck, it can even get stuck in our body; we rehash the past that existed before and leads us into a course where history repeats itself. In this episode we dive into our patterns, our trauma, healing and more. Journaling, meditating, breathwork and other self help techniques can help but we need to dig deeper and actually fix what is causing some of our underlying dysfunctions, often times ones that we don't even know are there. We dive into finding out what is behind the things that are causing you to live life on repeat and how to release the past, so that you can create your new future. "There Ain't No Other Way To Be Than High Frequency" - Natalie Spaeth Natalie Spaeth has had a rollercoaster of a life, but in a short amount of time has made a major transformation in her life and is now a professional fitness and mindset coach. She is also the 2nd interview of my Elite Series episodes where I have the honor of interviewing several members of the Elite Coaching Systems mastermind group that is the most comprehensive mindset programs in the world. Natalie's life on the outside may look absolutely perfect and pristine now, but in her true authenticity shares with us what it looked like behind the scenes. She had a good upbringing in a strong and supportive family but found herself overweight, addicted to drugs, pregnant without knowing who the father is, then into an abusive relationship, then many other battles. At her darkest moment, she made a change and asked for guidance from her higher power to give her the strength to change things around. She made a major transformation in such a short amount of time by getting back to the core of her true self and 'remembering' who she really was at her core. By doing the work, by willing to trust and surrender to the unknown, Natalie was able to attract her dream life to her. She talks about her coming home, who she is at her core, how to shed all the external beliefs and expectations. We also talk about what it looks like behind the scenes of the Elite Mastermind and the commonality of all of our massive transformations.
