. (1860 gg FC Ingolstadt 04 / 09.02.2025 / Spielstand 1:1 (0:0))
Imagine, if you will, a football (real football) match between the Premier and World Champion Manchester United (I know, a current fantasy) and a team of U9 players with the match played on a regulation pitch bounded by 45-minute halves. Besides being a joke to both the professional and amateur athletes participating in the fiasco, it would be an insult...

A blue(!) title card leads into our show. The Jedi have intercepted a Separatist transmission that they are unable to decode. They plan an undercover mission to steel an encryption module using troops the Separatists would never expect - droids! (Although the Separatists have used undercover droids before...). The droids will be led by Lilliputian Republic strategist Colonel Meebur Gascon, making his first foray into field command! His team, D-Squad, consists of 4 astromechs: R2-D2; Aayla Secura's QT-KT, Thongla Jur's U9-C4, and Tera Sinube's M5-BZ, as well as Clone Commander Neyo's pilot droid, WAC-47. Gascon lays out the plans for the heist and the astromechs are outfitted with their special weapons from Q Branch, which are cool tech for most of them and a lobotomy for BZ. Are droids people? They depart for the Separatist fleet and are brought aboard the dreadnought. When BZ gets killed (?) breaking into the comm-vault, they have to shift to plan B, which is apparently just R2 opening the door instead. They make it to the vault in time to be caught by droids. The battle and/or wacky hijinks rages! After a brief bout of zero-G hilarity, R2 recovers the encryption chip _and_ executes an avalanche senton on a super tactical droid. The droids recover BZ with the intent to repair him on the shuttle. Which they walk to and fly away on without being interrupted because nothing unusual is happening on this ship and the shuttle we just captured is allowed to leave. Colonel Gason congratulates himself, and, a bit backhandedly, the rest of the team.BZ is being worked on by the droidy dozen, dirty droidzen? We'll fix it in post. Gascon Zilkinsplains the mission and R2 looms over him. iMurdering Kalani and some droids either sated his lust for blood or whetted his appetite. Meebur better watch his back.WAC flies into a comet storm and the autopilot decides that maybe this is the time for some out of the box thinking and hits every comet it can. Just crazy enough to work. R2 decides that QT and U9 are useful (see Russian prison slang: Milk Cow) so he saves them.D squad crash lands on a salt planet, and R2 keisters the decoder chip. The planet is flat, smooth and barren, but for droids with wheels its basically paradise. R2 takes off and the mutiny has begun. Gascon reduces droids to programming and WAC makes a pretty good point that Gascon's training isn't that much different. Gascon backs into the fact that droids aren't any different than organics and then conveniently changes the subject. Our heroes stumble on another downed ship and I'm not going to ruin this for Jared: We get a pretty sweet cameo!Gascon questions his unthinking adherence to a useless ethos. Because the Mortis arc allowed the Force to punch a hole through into the galaxy, the Force chooses this moment to unleash some Perfectly Normal Beasts to save Gascon and WAC. Lessons are learned and one of them is that R2 is probably the only fully actualized being in the universe because he's already found civilization.Gascon proves he's learned nothing and instead of treating WAC like a peer conscripts him into the same outmoded way of thinking that almost got them killed. WAC has also learned nothing and tries to pull rank on R2. Fortunately for him, R2 believes in the motto: frag a mouthy droid, and you've murdered for a day, bury your rage and complete the mission and the continued war allows you to murder for a lifetime.https://twitter.com/ClosingCrawlhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/closing-crawl/id1530133296https://www.closingcrawl.com/Merch at: https://bit.ly/spacetimetm

Welcome to another week in the world's best industry. Today we're talking about the Chinese version of the NADA show, a new report which is raising the question on structural capacity for EV parking garages, as well as the potentially historic Starship launch today. If you thought the NADA Show was big, think again. The Shanghai Auto Show 2023 is set to showcase the intense competition in the electric vehicle (EV) market, with global and Chinese automakers unveiling more than a dozen new electric models. And the tradeshow floor is a small continent of 1.5 million square meters (16 million square feet)In Comparison the Las Vegas convention center is only 3.2 m sq ftChina purchased 5.4 million pure-electric vehicles of their 23.6 million cars in 2022, about two-thirds of the global total of 8 million and EV sales are forecast to increase by another 30% this yearThe Chinese government is winding down subsidies and shifting the burden to automakers by requiring them to earn credits for EV sales, prompting manufacturers to develop competitive models without subsidies and form partnerships to share costChina's BYD Auto, who wants to overtake Tesla for the title of world's biggest-selling electric automaker, will reveal its U9 supercar from its luxury Yangwang brand. 1 million yuan ($145,000) sticker price, accelerates from zero to 100 kph (60 mph) in two neck-straining seconds. An article from Automotive News is highlighting a report from the British Parking Association that raises the caution flag on whether or not older parking garages can hold up the weight of new, heavier EVsChris Whapples, a structural engineer, told The Telegraph, "I don't want to be too alarmist, but there definitely is the potential for some of the early car parks in poor condition to collapse. Last month my travels took me to Missoula, Montana for the state rivalry game to see my nephew's team, the University of Montana Grizzlies (https://gogriz.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/jonathan-brown/6563) taking on Montana State. The Grizzlies were unable to overcome their rivals, but all was not lost. I met a fellow Ghanaian, Gabriel Ansah and his family and through this interview I get to share yet another glocal perspective on living, working and playing in a home away from “home.” Gabriel Ansah is a fitness trainer and proud owner of 406AMCREW, a brand promoting positivity through fitness. Gabriel spent the first 17 years of his life in his native Tema, Ghana before traveling to the United States for a high school exchange program in Missoula where he currently resides with his wife and two sons. After graduating from the University of Montana where studied management information systems, he discovered that his true passion was in the pursuit of fitness and motivating others to achieve their fitness goals. While leading the 406AMCREW, Gabe is also part of the coaching staff for local soccer team Missoula Surf. He's the director of player development for the club and the coach of its U9 team. In the summer of 2022, he also joined the University of Montana soccer coaching staff. As a Lululemon Ambassador, Gabe is able to extend his reach into communities as a representative of the brand, helping to build a community of like-minded individuals who share the company's values and vision for a healthy and active lifestyle. Be sure to listen in and learn how this partnership with Lululemon afforded Gabe the opportunity to give back in a big way to his community in Tema last December. Where to find Gabe? Ludvig Steenberg was not selected for the Stockholm TV puck tournament and did not get a chance to play at the NIU Gymnasium in Hockey but worked hard and took his own path to continue to play. After a year at SDE J18 Elite and 2 years in gymnasium (Swedish High School) he signed up to go play prep hockey at the National Sports Academy in Lake Placid, NY an. d did his senior and a post grad year there before graduating. His goal was to play college hockey in the US and joined the Connecticut Oilers in the EHL and won a EHL championship with a very good team there. At a showcase during the season he was offered the spot on the Plymouth State University in the NCAA DIII league and he realized his goals and dreams are coming true. He again charted his won path and declared his own major and graduated in 4 years with a degree in interdisciplinary studies and an experience of a lifetime. One of his teammates was from Norway and he went to play in the Norwegian Fjordkraft Legaen as a first year pro. Covid had a major impact of forcing some difficult decision and he decided after 2 years to move back home to Stockholm and got into coaching his first year in Sollentuna as he played for their Div. 1 team and took the position as the U16 head coach and assistant for the J18 team. This year, Ludvig is testing out all the years of hockey playing and learning from his past coaches and is the new head coach for Lidingo Vikings in J18 Region (elit) in Region East of Swedish Juniors. He is also the GM and oversees the developmental programs from U9 to J18. We hope you enjoy following Ludvig's journey and learn details and experiences from both Swedish and US hockey programs.

Tuesday's Guest List was littered by former Gamecock baseball and football stars. Like he did so well during his All-American Carolina career, Drew Meyer evaluated Gamecock baseball's current situation, explained the drastic difference between his college and pro baseball experience, and told us how he now approaches the game as a dad coaching his son's U9 team in Charleston. Drew's former USC teammate and current North Greenville University assistant baseball coach Trey Dyson recapped his team's run to another conference tournament championship, reiterated Drew's take on the importance of practice, and updated his on his new and improved on-field chirping game. Former Gamecock and NFL alum Langston Moore joined in on the chirping conversation, explained how and why he got into writing children's books (#USTA), and evaluated Gamecock football 18 months into the Shane Beamer era. We arrive at the premiere in stoppage time of the 8th game of the season only to see Dani Rojas kill a dog with a PK. No, that is not a misprint, Dani Rojas killed a dog with a PK, getting the yips in the process. The dog dying was not even the most cringe worthy thing that happened in this episode - that belongs to the press pool stealing Trent Crimm's line! In addition to saying goodbye to Earl, the Brothers discuss the flurry of activity going on in the episode and all that seems to have happened since we last saw the characters: - Roy is MIA after a seemingly epic retirement presser, coaching Phoebe's U9 girls team. - Rebecca is dating - dude is nothing like Rupert, but still a knob. - Nate has turned heel! - The Lasso Way no longer seems to be working! - New characters galore! Ted Lasso on calling out epically bad ideas: “I shouldn't bring an umbrella to a brainstorm.”

This episode takes a look a baseball around the world, but in a different light than we have in the past; we discuss baseball in countries around the world at a youth level, ranging from U9 to college level. Our guest, Mario Signorello is the CEO of the Caribbean Baseball Organization (CBO), an organization that strives to bring baseball events to the Bahamas with teams representing countries all over the world. Because of his experience and organization, Mario will discuss countries that we typically do not think of when we think of powerhouse baseball countries. Does this mean that these countries will succeed in International competitions like the Olympics and World Baseball Classic in the near future? What about professional leagues? What countries that stood out does Mario think are the most surprising to the average baseball fan? All that and more on this special episode of The Globally Ballin Podcast, enjoy!
