The Game awards nominees have been announced, and boy are there some major snubs. Nintendo had its indieworld showcase, Rocksteady shows off more of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, Valve announces the Steam Deck OLED. Meanwhile as Hollywood gets back to work, Marvel Studios delays, WB cancels, and Netflix keeps chugging along. Plus a review of The Marvels, and my top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies.

We had a lot of investor news this week, between WB's earnings call, the Sony State of Play, and a Pokémon Presents. EA wants to beef up production on Battlefield, while Ubisoft seems to be less and less interested in beyond good and evil 2 with each passing day. HBO Max loses one prequel and gains another. The Mando is back, and the Lord of the Rings may be as well. That and more come take a listen.

DC Fandom 2021 did not disappoint. They have officially laid down the gauntlet at the MCUs feet, and await their counter. Meanwhile there a lot of movers and shakers going on in the video game world, as we have news across the platforms and publishers.

Lucasfilm Games is back baby! And with it a New Indiana Jones Game, and an Ubisoft Star Wars game, yes you read that right, Ubisoft. Duracell is not to be trusted when it comes to gaming news, Gotham Knights overhauls its combat. Steam has an amazing 2020. Streaming is coming out on top once again, and Disney+ has updated for its MCU shows. We finally have an idea about what Amazons LotR show will be focused on and the CW passes on an Arrowverse Spinoff. We also get confirmation about the future of Deadpool 3, as well as the future of the MCU. Also Martian Manhunter will be in the Snyder Cut and Ray Fisher isnt backing down.

On June 23rd, 2015, Rocksteady’s final Batman game was unleashed upon the world – Batman: Arkham Knight. After a week of playing, Phantom Troublemaker gathered a group of Batmaniacs to talk about the game and the history of the franchise. Phantom is joined by Needless Things Irregulars Ryan Schweck and The Belligerent Monkey, as well as newcomers Mike Nelson and Chris “Crispy” Lloyd. The fellas reminisce about the wonder of Batman: Arkham Asylum actually being a great game, discuss how much the world opened up in Arkham City, and share differing opinions on the quality of Arkham Origins. After a little Arkhamverse history, the crew dives into a discussion of Arkham Knight. There are minor spoilers, but Phantom provides multiple warnings when they’re about to happen. Most of the talk is focused on the gameplay and features rather than plotlines. None of the guys had finished the game at the time of the recording, so plenty of mysteries were still in play. PLUS!
