The roommate had escorted this person out of the house on her way to work, and thought nothing more about it. Fast forward to February 2021 where police closed in on Sandra's murderer after fingerprints were left behind at the crime scene. The perpetrator in question turned out to be Paul Nuttal, a 21-year old drifter who was never connected to the case until a modern DNA analysis took place. Paul was soon arrested, but is still awaiting trial while undergoing a psychiatric evaluation." - episode description taken from Dying to be Found.

Jeffrey Marple, who has gained a national reputation for law department innovation in his role as director of innovation for corporate legal at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, has moved to Keesal Propulsion Labs, a company that assists Fortune 500 law departments in automating their business and legal processes, where has taken the position of director of digital transformation strategy. In an exclusive LawNext interview, Marple and Rudy DeFelice, cofounder and CEO of KP Labs, join host Bob Ambrogi to discuss Marple’s move to the company, which spun off in 2018 from the California law firm Keesal, Young & Logan. They also share their insights on the state of law department innovation, the challenges law departments face in innovating, and where the industry is heading. For Marple, his move to KP Labs comes after 21 years at Liberty Mutual, where, in his most recent role, he led the investigation, testing, and implementation of new technology, processes, and business models to improve how legal professionals work. In 2019, the Association of Corporate Counsel named Marple's department the "Legal Operations Team of the Year." DeFelice, the company's cofounder and CEO, is a lawyer and technology entrepreneur. Aguarde 30-45s. Aqui está a lista de referências: Couto, A. On this week s episode, we sit down with Loyola University history professor Justin Nystrom to explore the influence that Sicilian Americans have had on New Orleans foodways. Surprisingly, that influence didn tbegin with the heavy influx of Sicilians who populated the city in great numbers during the late 1880 s. Those rural Sicilians made their mark on the French Market and created the sandwich we know as the muffalatta. Actually, the first wave of Italian immigrants were urban dwellers who arrived on our shores in the 1830 s and became wealthy importers and restaurateurs. Who knew that Commander s Palace was actually founded by the son of an immigrant from Ustica whose father had Americanized his surname from Camarda to Commander Or that those same Ustican immigrants were important members of the Southern Yacht Club taking their leisure racing sloops on Lake Pontchartrain Not exactly the image you might have in your mind of our Sicilian immigrants. The recent publication of Justin s book Creole Italian Sicilian Immigrants and The Shaping of New Orleans Food Culture is particularly timely. My new book, the Pascal s Manale Cookbook will also be published this fall. It focuses on the story of two Sicilian immigrant families, the Manales and the Radostas, forbearers of today s Defelice clan, who continue the Manale tradition today at their century old establishment on Napoleon Avenue. And there s over one hundred classic Manale recipes included in the book too
Red Hugh O’Donnell was chief of the O’Donnell clan when he built his castle in 1474. Donegal Castle, sometimes called O'Donnell Castle, was built on the ruins of a Viking fortress. When the British took over Ireland, the Brooke Family took over Donegal Castle. The British are gone now. The castle, in ruins for centuries, has been restored. It reflects the British influence and the resilience of Irish culture. Jesse DeFelice reports.

Two years ago Manon DeFelice launched Inkwell, a recruiting agency specializing in placing high-level professional moms in positions with flexible or part-time schedules. In the past six months the agency grossed $500,000 in commissions, and is projected to hit 7-figures in 2016. Impressive numbers for DeFelice, a 35-year-old mom of three kids ages 8 and younger, who was inspired by personal experience. The Barnard and Brooklyn Law grad spent her early career in Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Office of Criminal Justice, and as executive director of the AHA Foundation, which focuses on female human rights issues. In her career, DeFelice faced discrimination for being pregnant, taking maternity leave and breastfeeding in the office, she says. She also struggled to find balance between her New York City office and three children and husband in Greenwich, Conn. She saw highly educated and accomplished women all around her dropping out, staying home full time and being increasingly frustrated and bored. Today, she helps high-achieving women facing the same pickle: “I’m trying to stop the brain drain,” DeFelice says. “Women are educated at the best schools, and trained at the best companies, but then they quit because they want to go to music class Tuesdays with their baby. That is bad for lifetime earnings, bad for marriages, and the world misses out on women’s contributions. Aside from staying home fulltime, or working fulltime crazy hours, there are very few third options. I’m helping moms find a third option.”
Emile DeFelice is a man unafraid of opinions. As chair and founder of the Soda City Market in Columbia, SC, he helps transform a Main Street into a thriving market every Saturday morning, rain or shine. But that is just the beginning. This is the man who once raised pastured pork, who once ran for the SC Commissioner of Agriculture, and who doesn’t particularly like his home city’s current tagline. He’s passionate about a lot, thinks about a lot, and is not afraid to say what he thinks while occasionally taking a puff on a vape pen scented like cotton candy. And through it all, he’s helping a city decide what it thinks about its food sources, its farmers, and even its flag.
