On blade operation and maintenance upstream quality problems and operators challenges, which sounds like what we just saw on our drive through Kansas and Oklahoma a lot of operators with a lot of challenges on the quality of products that they're purchasing. Joel Saxum: Yeah, I think that panel couldn't come at a more timely. I guess that's not a very good way to say that. However, yeah, when we hear from people is the, we're getting blades, the blades are a year old, two years old, three years old. We've got a leading edge erosion. We've got cracks. We got this going on. We're fighting warranty claims. We've got blade repair contractors out here. We got this, we got that. So we're going to get up on state, or you're going to get up on stage and we're going to have some people from a couple of IPPs. So there's going to be some some of the engineers that are dealing with this firsthand. And you're also going to have someone from Nordics on stage with you. So someone from an OEM. Going to have some varied opinions and some good information. But you're going to get different viewpoints and different details from all sides of the supply chain there to be able to hopefully solve some of these problems. Allen Hall: Yeah, Matt Sagala from Moraes from Nordex and Pragna Martin from Engie, if you don't know Pragna. That would be a really good panel. I'm gonna learn a ton there, I'm sure. And I am, just want to make sure everybody knows, if you're interested in attending that event, and there's several other sessions about supply chain and blades and, all kinds of materials involved in blades. This is your conference. So you need to Google the AMI plastics wind turbine blades conference in Boston and Boston in October will be beautiful. The weather would be perfect. So it's a good time to get out of the office and get a short flight over to Boston and have a good time learning about. Supply chain and blades and all that's involved on making and supporting the wind industry. I'm Allen Hall and I'll be joined by the rest of the Uptime hosts after these news headlines. How does one, in the capacity of a youth pastor and 7th-grade teacher, come to a point where the only perceived solution is violence against one's family? The latest episode of the podcast "Hidden Killers" with host Tony Brueski provides a deep dive into the chilling story of Matthew Lee Richards. Richards, a youth pastor, is now accused of stabbing his wife and five children due to financial struggles and an imminent eviction, as outlined in an affidavit. Remarkably, at the time of the podcast's recording, all family members survived the brutal attack, with one still in critical condition. "It's absolutely shocking. This was a youth pastor, a 7th-grade teacher with a history of working with kids. He even described himself as 'a big kid who loves teaching little kids about Jesus'," commented Brueski, emphasizing the dissonance between Richards' professional role and his alleged actions. In a riveting conversation with retired FBI Special Agent and Chief of the Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, Robin Dreeke, the podcast aimed to shed light on possible reasons behind such drastic actions. "The immediate reaction is profound sympathy for the family. Five children now have to grapple with the trauma of their father turning on them. It's unthinkable," Dreeke remarked. While the term "family annihilator" was brought into the limelight with the Alec Murdoch case, where a man allegedly harmed family members over financial issues, the motivations behind Richards' actions seem vastly different. "Murdoch's trajectory was fueled by drug addiction and consistent manipulation, taking advantage of others financially," explained Brueski, comparing the two scenarios. Dreeke provided further insights, suggesting that Richards' case appears to be a classic instance of what is termed "altruistic murder-suicide attempt." "Facing eviction, grappling with financial stressors, and possibly dealing with an undiagnosed mental disorder, the mounting pressure may have triggered a psychotic event," Dreeke proposed. "He believed he was saving his children from a life of misery. It's devastating to consider the anguish that would drive someone to think in this manner." Though Dreeke clarified that he is not a clinician, the symptoms alluded to a deep-rooted psychosis coupled with depression. "Such mental states are more commonly associated with men, and the tragedy here is that Richards, filled with shame, referred to himself as a 'monster' after the event," he stated. Brueski pondered on the aftermath, highlighting that, shockingly, everyone survived the attack. "Was he inept with the weapon, or did he, somewhere deep down, not truly intend for them to die?" questioned Brueski, noting the horrific injuries sustained by the children, including exposed internal organs and a slashed throat. Dreeke emphasized the lack of premeditation in Richards' actions, contrasting it with other violent incidents that showed deliberate intent. "This was a moment of psychosis, not something planned in detail," Dreeke added, expressing gratitude that Richards did not possess a firearm, which could have drastically altered the outcome. In a world where faith leaders are expected to be pillars of strength and moral fortitude, how did one man's life spiral so dramatically? The disturbing case of Matthew Lee Richards serves as a stark reminder of the multifaceted nature of human behavior and the potential consequences of untreated mental disorders. Could understanding these nuances prevent future tragedies? As listeners of "Hidden Killers" are left to ponder this chilling case, the broader community grapples with the implications for faith, trust, and mental health awareness. Last week I re-shared one of my Most Valued Podcast episodes called Soothing Your Inner Critic. It was originally episode 6 and now I shared it again as episode 85.I did that because I have new listeners joining the podcast all the time and now that there's more than 80 episodes, I know you guys don't always have time to go back that far to listen. So, I thought I'd share again because most of us have at least occasional flare-ups of our inner critic in whatever form it takes. And it's good to be aware of it and to understand how to calm or soothe it.Because if we don't learn how to do that, it can hold us back from the things we want most in life. So, if you haven't had a chance yet, you might want to go back and give that episode a listen. But today I want to build on last week's episode. And I want to talk about how to bring your brain back to neutral no matter what challenges are going on in your work or life. How to practice self-command when it comes to what you CHOOSE to think about you, your possibilities, your work, your challenges. All of it. Because when it comes to making the most of life, I think most of us would agree that life is what we make of it. I mean we know that we're all going to have challenges and most of us intuitively get that our attitude determines our altitude. Or that we need to make lemonade from the lemons. Or whatever cliché you want to use. The clichés are there because in general, they're universally agreed upon truths. But guess what?Very few of us know how to direct our thought life. How to think ON PURPOSE.Why?Because we're not taught this. When you really stop to think about it, it's kind of interesting that literally no part of our education – unless you study mental health or psychology – teaches us how to manage that super powerful computer processor that is our brain. We have zero idea of how to consistently make it work for us. And because of that, even the most disciplined personal development devotees will experience hit or miss results. And your average person doesn't even know that their brain is theirs to direct. And that the way they feel doesn't just HAPPEN. It's not random. It happens because of a thought we're thinking. It might be a thought in our subconscious…so one we're not aware of. But it's that thought that's causing us to feel crappy. Not the situation that's going on.And here is where people who are new to this concept sometimes jump in and talk about all the “bad” things that happen in life. Sickness. Death. Financial Troubles. Job Loss. And they say, those things are bad, and I can't just tell myself they're good.So let me set the record straight. Yes. Bad things happen. And the answer isn't to try to tell yourself they're really a good thing. But the key is to adopt a view of life that says, hey…the human experience is going to be part good and part bad. Sometimes we have the ability to change bad to good, but sometimes we just have to deal with it.So, what we're going to talk about today is not magical thinking. It's not trying to turn everything into sunshine and daisies. Because that's not realistic. But what I want to talk about today is how to talk charge of your thought life. How to decide ON PURPOSE what you want to think about the things going on in your life. About you. About the people in your life. About anything. Because it is a choice. For more, give the episode a listen.

This is episode 15 in my 30 episode Prosperity Series because I am determined to help you break free from the mental disease of poverty. And today we're talking about why your financial troubles are a gift from God. I know you've heard me say, if you've been listening to this entire series, that money is our greatest opportunity for expansion here in the 3D. I truly believe it is a test. Now I opened up this podcast saying that your financial troubles are a gift from God. It is a gift because it makes you stop, focus on yourself and reconnect with Source. Because when we know that money comes from us, which means it comes from our vibration, we have to look inward and ask, “Where are my thoughts and feelings all day long?” It's those thoughts and feelings that attract things to us. And when we're working on creating prosperity and abundance, we are forced to be in that high vibration. We are forced to pay attention to our thoughts and to really know that God, Source, Infinite Intelligence, the Universe, whichever word works for you, is flowing through us in every moment. See, when things are going really well for us, we get lazy. We get lazy with our thoughts, and we forget to pay attention to what we're thinking and what we're feeling because everything is going great. We get a little lazy and we stop meditating and begin to be highly aware of our thoughts and then what happens is the Universe gives us a big swift kick in the rear end. And it usually shows up in a financial way first. When it shows up financially, we panic and we will turn to God, Source, Infinite Intelligence and say, “I need money!” That moment of panic, forces us to slow down, pay attention, and do the inner work that is necessary to create prosperity. Money is the greatest test and challenge in our lifetime. Now I'm not saying that there aren't all sorts of other challenges. Believe me, I know, we all have crazy challenges, but the fact that everyone on this planet needs money to thrive and survive shows us that it is the greatest test for all of us. And that it is something for us to begin to befriend, understand, and have a relationship with at an entirely new level. There has to be a relationship with ourselves and with God to create money. Our prosperity is driven by our vibration. Where are you vibrationally? What are your thoughts? What are your feelings? And in the moment when something goes amiss and we have these crazy financial situations, it forces us back to the basics. Back to having an awareness of our thoughts and feelings. Because we all know that when things go too smoothly, we do get a little bit lazy. I'm totally guilty of that. I have done that on many occasions… things are going great and for some reason I decide to stop meditating because “all is well.” This usually turns into a mess, no surprise there. I have sworn after my last little fiasco that I created for myself to level myself up and truly master who I am vibrationally so that I can create prosperity and serve on this planet. So I want you to see your current financial state, if it's not exactly what you desire, as your test and as a gift from God, because it is making you take the time to connect with Source. It's making you take the time to remember that Source flows through you constantly. Which is a reminder of how powerful you are. We have all forgotten how powerful we are. That's why we have so much struggle here on this planet, because we forgot who we were before we came in. And it's all part of the game. We knew it when we came in, we made the agreement for these lives. Although, now that we're here, we might be wondering why we would have agreed to this, LOL. But we knew it would be fun! We have to look at every piece of our lives as a game and have fun with it. And when your financial situation isn't what you want it to look like, then that's when you know you have to reconnect with Source. That's the nudge. Do a double check … Have you been meditating about money/prosperity? Have you been caring for money? Have you been allowing the energy of money to flow to you and from you? Are you in your highest vibration at all times? All those things need to be questioned. When things start to wobble around you and your 3D reality begins to show you things that you don't truly desire, see the situation as the gift from God. An invitation to get back in touch with who you are, the powerful being that came to this planet. I'd love to hear about your ah-ha from this episode. Take a picture of this podcast, posted out in social media and tag men, and I will come on by and say, “Hi.” And again, you're not going to want to miss an episode, make sure that you subscribe to this podcast and leave a review if you like what you're hearing. I'll catch you in the next episode. Groups do sometimes fall into financial difficulties. How do sections continue to deliver a good program while the group struggles? ----more----Subscribe: iTunes | Google Play | Android | TuneIn Radio | Stitcher | AnchorDownload episode: MP3 Podcast Topics Ken and Colin respond to a message from a listener, Barbara, whose Group is in a bit of a financial pickle: I'm a returning Scouter ( and now a Beaver contact scouter), and determined to not be a curmudgeon. 9 out of 10 youth in our Beaver Colony are brand new to our group; all new Scouters, except me. So much motivation and big hearts within our Scouter team, and a great bunch of spunky youth. I am only just realizing, to my dismay, that our group has been floundering financially for years and is below rock bottom. Group is (obviously) very unwilling to help finance our first camp and are being very difficult and evasive in communications. I have kept my brand new team ( except one) unaware of this problem, since it could destroy morale. Oh: another FIRST- first time this group has done Canadian Path in Beavers ( and we are actually loving it) This is probably not an uncommon situation, especially with smaller groups. If the group isn't being terribly communicative, or terribly supportive at all, then the next best thing to do is turn to the parents and be up front with them. Let them know that the group isn't really going to be able to help offset activity costs at this time, and maybe even survey them as to what they think a reasonable cost would be for a weekend-length camp. In particular, there are three dollar-value figures to capture here: The maximum out-of-pocket cost families are willing to pay for a weekend camp. The maximum out-of-pocket cost for a day event. The overall maximum amount of additional fees over the course of a year. So, for example: maybe families will be willing to pay $80 for a weekend camp, $30 for a day event, and not more than $200 in total for all activities per year. With that feedback, it will be easier to draw up plans for the year, to decide which activities are and aren't within reach. Beyond that, it becomes a question of looking for fundraising opportunities: popcorn sales, Apple Day, bottle drives, and other such things. Communication with the Scouting Council covering the area will also be important; Council may have information about additional fundraising options, or places to turn to for grants and donations.OPEN INVITATION: If your group has recovered from being in a similar financial situation, we'd love to have you on the podcast to tell us about how the group was able to turn the situation around. Shout-Outs For the second week in a row, Raul gets a shout-out. He left a comment on Facebook, thanking us for answering his question about the word “woggle” on-air: Ayer, cuando estaba acabando de correr, lo escuché y me encantó el "shout-out"...Escuché un mensaje que había enviado preguntando sobre como se escribía una palabra que había escuchado varias veces en el episodio 60... Ken muy amablemente me respondió.Pues bien, ayer me hizo mucha ilusión escuchar mi mensaje. Gracias, Ken Second, Eric — friend and occasional guest of the podcast, Scouter to the Northern Lights MedVents — sent us a message with a happy remembrance of a long-ago camp: Hey Ken and Colin, just catching up on some podcasts, and was listening to Episode 65. Colin commented that Scouts have been solving Escape Room puzzles for decades and it made me think back to one of the 100+ camps I attended as a Scout (100+11??) with the theme Spy Vs Spy. That night time wide game where patrols had to collect the parts of a spy message decoder (a simple circuit board, memory chip, battery, and rudimentary LCD numeric display) that when correctly assembled gave you the message 100+. After close to 20 some years in Scouting, NOTHING has come close to that amazing wide game puzzle... And, as always, a big thank you to the folks at Scouting Radio for rebroadcasting Scouting Stuff episodes to their worldwide Scouting audience. How do you handle trials? I talk a little about a financial trial I have experienced and relate it to something Jesus was warning His disciples about, the trials that they were about to face. I have it much easier in comparison. John 16:33 "'I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.'" When going through a rough time, Jesus reminds tHis Disciples that they (including us) are not alone. We can have peace, even through trials, through Christ. May you rely on Him, for He has overcome the world! #God #jesuschrist #bible #dailydevotional #scripture #podcast #christianpodcast #makegodapriorityagain #overcome #financialtroubles #godsgotthis #youcandoit https://www.dailychristianpodcast.com https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/
