Ólátabelgirnir í NOFX gáfu út 16 hljóðversbreiðskífur á ferlinum, en það er erfitt að færa rök fyrir því að drengirnir hafi nokkurn tímann toppað meistaraverkið Punk in Drublic frá 1994, sem verður til umfjöllunar í þætti vikunnar.
Us and Punk Rock Elite Podcast put together a tribute to NOFX's Punk in Drublic album to commemorate its 30th anniversary. It's all for charity, so get it bought,In order to breakdown and dissect this musical monolith, we've recruited the beast from the North East, Mick off Tearjerker, to do just that.Listen in and be amazed at the variety on the comp, the sterling effort all bands have put in and be double amazed at the articulate way we describe the songs.Which one of us has a secret musical theatre background? Which band inadvertently gets accused of living in a dingy basement? Just what is a "laid back night venue"? The only way to find out is by giving this a spin!Musical Contributions are from: The Punk Cellist, Get The F Outta Dodge, Heligan, Tearjerker, Blagged, The Crash Mats, Loudmouth, White Trash, Two Theys and a Jock, Eat Defeat, Pat Decline, Zero Cost, Graham Aspinall, The Disposables, Hike The Peak, The Latchkey Kids, Austerity Dogs, Noah Skape, Bad Milk Blood Robot, Emilie Plamondon and Making Friends.

The punk rock legends put a bow on their 40-plus-year career last weekend, but not before some interpersonal drama. Punk legends NOFX called it quits this weekend in front of 15,000 fans in San Pedro, Ca, with “Fat Mike” Burkett, Eric Melvin, Aaron “El Hefe” Abeyta, and Erik “Smelly” Sandin playing their final show. The story of their retirement isn't a short explosive one, but a long, drawn-out saga spanning multiple decades and complicated relationships. On December 9, 2023 … the New Jersey punk rock band Free The Witness will unveil their latest studio release, Youth of Tomorrow produced and mixed by Pete Steinkopf of punk rock veterans The Bouncing Souls, and mastered by Doug Gallo. Already streaming on all platforms is the EP's white-hot lead single, also titled “Youth of Tomorrow.” Potent, high-level energy explodes from the outset and continues through with powerful vocals, heavy hitting drums and insanely technical guitar work.Vocalist/guitarist Jake Bédel-Franklin and Bassist Kyle Crowley stopped by the APV Studio to chat about the band's new direction with Youth of Tomorrow and how they're maturing and gelling as a group. They spoke about their deliberate choices when crafting the new EP to show progressive growth in their music and insightful commentary through their lyrics. We went to the Punk in Drublic fest last weekend in Columbus. We decided to take you guys with us and give our deliriously exhausted and unhinged recaps at the end of each day. We had an amazing weekend!
In this episode, we dive into the quintessential NOFX album "Punk in Drublic" in preparation for our upcoming trip to their final Punk in Drublic fest. As we go track by track, we unwrap Fat Mike's songwriting style, and ponder if this is a storytelling album or not.

Steve and Travis were damn near inseparable in the '90s, and the NOFX album Punk in Drublic was one of the ties that bound them. And it still does! Join their conversation about this punk rock staple.
Ryan Greene is an American record producer, sound engineer, former owner of Crush Recording Studios in Scottsdale, Arizona and founder of Area 52 Entertainment in Los Angeles, California. In an over 25-year-long career he has worked with many artists including Jay-Z, Lita Ford, Tonic, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Usher, Patti LaBelle, and Gladys Knight. Ryan was THE guy when it came to producing the bands on Fat Wreck Chords. Some of those bands were NOFX, Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, Propaghandi, Pulley, Hi-Standard, Tilt, Bracket, and a shit ton of others that probably graced your CD collection. There are so many good stories in this and I think a lot of you who love or loved the Fat bands from the late 90s will absolutely love them. I got Ryan on the Skype and this is what we talk about: Demoing Stranger Than Fiction What the word Demo means to him Figuring out the emotion of each record he records Punk in Drublic's Mastering debacle Recording Hoss Some of the tricks he learned during his sessions Recording Less Talk More Rock by Propagandhi Recording Guttermouth Tony Sly And a ton more Get your Realtor Instagram Stickers by clicking here. We all have a Soundwave memory, seeing Iron Maiden on the main stage or a debut from Parkway Drive - it was a festival we all were proud to say "I was there at the beginning! Now, that same DNA carries on with Good Things Festival. It's on this December and we couldn't be more excited with NOFX coming back doing 'Punk in Drublic' and TISM returning for the first time in 19 years. Chris O'Brien started off managing The Mavis' and Bodyjar and then started booking punk nights in Melbourne. Then he met AJ Maddah, and things grew from there! Things are heating up in the podcast cave, so much so that Simon has shaved his beard. Now looking more man than bearded beast, Simon discusses being reunited with his neck and why you should always be careful around a beard trimmer.Luckily for Nic and everyone else in Nürnberg, Simon did keep his beard long enough to display it a the recent Punk in Drublic music festival. We talk about a wonderful sunny Saturday of punk music, beer and diffusing arguments at the bar. The €9 train ticket has finally gone on sale, allowing Germans to travel the rails around the country for next to nothing. Nic wonders why Bayern always has to complain about nice things, while Simon is just happy to ditch his car. We finish on a similar theme by looking at where you should go to get the most out of all this public transport with some of the best rail journeys in Germany. Bro punk...it disgusts me. NOFX isnt as bad as most...but seriously,if yer over 30, you dont need to be still listening to Pennywise or Lagwagon... Saul has tickets to Punk in Drublic 2022 at Petco park, and we discuss the bands on the show...Bro punks whip out their dicks every chance they get... I really wanna do a deep dive into our Punk Rock youths, and the music that shaped us to who we are today, and we kinda dip our toes in those waters with this episode... And Fat Mike does in fact drink piss, its a fact. You cant convince me otherwise. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/unresearchedpodcast/message
On the latest episode of "Ear Buds", we talk about how admitting that you're an asshole doesn't excuse you for being one, Lucas's desire to wear a sundress, we lost all our funding, Lucas dreams about Brett, our disdain towards punk rock elitists and eventually we get to all our thoughts on the obnoxious yet super catchy and massively influential Punk album "Punk in Drublic" by NOFX.
Hello People! Welcome to the When In Yorkshire Podcast, hope you are all getting by ok. This is episode Forty Nine featuring Sleeping Soul and Dive Dive bassist as well as Vans For Bands head honcho, the very tall, Tarrant Anderson. Adding to my collection of The Sleeping Souls (Ben and Callum - I'm coming for you!) and another conversation held at Slam Dunk festival where The Sleeping Souls played on the Punk in Drublic stage, this was a conversation I've wanted to have since way back in January of 2019 after speaking to Nigel Powel about Dive Dive and was reignited after seeing the amazing work VFB did throughout the pandemic. We chat about these topics and more bit, if you have not taken the time to fully appreciate the magnificent bass work that Tarrant adds to Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls or even if you have - please go and check out not just the back catalogue of his work but also any live videos you can find as, without leaping into the air, he without fail delivers a technically perfect and visually entertaining performance every time - or at least every time I've seen him play.

Hola mi companeros, and welcome to a piping hot and sexy new episode of Cinepunx, this one featuring our very special surprise guest Dana Belletiere! Dana is one of my oldest friends, and Josh is pretty sure he met her at a show in like 00 so like, that is a long time too. Dana joined us as a surprise friend hang out, and so did not have much to add to our discussion of the films because she had never seen them. However, we will definitely have her on again as a regular guest to discuss something she loves and she promised me it will not be NOFX- Punk in Drublic. On this episode we spent some time discussing two randomly chosen Pedro Almodovar films: Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and Pain & Glory. I say random but really I just wanted to discuss the new film, and I picked one of the few other Almodovar films I had seen and enjoyed. It should be obvious but in case it is not, we are not experts on this director nor do we pretend to be. However, I think we both felt this was a good first step into his films and we hope to do a follow up episode on more of his movies and having a little more knowledge of the scholarly work around his movies. Anyway, the episode was a lot of fun and so many many thanks to Dana for hanging out with us! Hey as usual thanks to all our patreon supporters Please tell folks about the show Check out some of the great shows on the network and find us on social media ok bye The post CINEPUNX Episode 104: ALMODOVAR! Heeeeeeey! We were just starting to wonder about the guys over at Dying Scene Radio and here they come, sauntering along...and with a friend, no less! On Episode 17 of the official podcast of Dying Scene, the lads somehow managed to get the endlessly talented Jenna Enemy (The Von Tramps / #femaletomdelong) to join them for some rootin', tootin' shit shootin'! But just because the boys have a guest doesn't mean they're gonna forget about the totally tubular tunes from new and emerging artists that you were probably too lazy to discover and the noteworthy scene news that you were probably too lazy too read! They’re just going to have a third person giving their shitty opinions on stuff!! You can never have too many shitty opinions, right!??!? You need to know how we feel about Hall and Oates, Nintendo Switch Lite, New Star Manager and Bokassa Crimson Riders. Show Notes Shane has a first basemen's glove for hands which aids him in craft beer drinking and pizza eating but also creates a need for a proper D-pad on his controllers. Therefore he may be in the market for a Nintendo Switch Lite later this year. Joel might be injured, according to a joint letter penned by Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony, due to tariffs causing a price increase on consoles sold in the United States. Not like a 2x4 to the knee injured though. Karl likes a little action in his football sims and enjoys opening a label flap to read about his beers while drinking them. He also contributed the recommended record in this episode that has hints of 90's thrash, Queens of the Stone Age and A Day To Remember. 0:02:37 Side A Video Games News: If you haven't yet purchased a Nintendo Switch, you've got some options incoming. Nintendo Switch Lite announced and it may have convinced Shane to pull the trigger and buy one. Current Switch model getting a new battery. Look for the red boxes starting around the middle of August. Tariffs could increase the price of consoles in the United States by 25%. Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft join teams to pen a letter asking their systems be excluded from the tariffs. Podcasting is hard and it’s painful and it’s everyday. Except when it isn’t. Turns out there’s this thing rather unimaginatively called “real life” that sometimes pounces on people, and I guess my number was up. Soooo...sorry guys. But hey, to make up for it I’m giving you a really, really long episode this week! So that’s something. Right? This time around I’m joined by the delightful Mary Ellen Iatropoulos, Director of Education and Experience for The Art Effect, a nonprofit arts and media education organization, editor on Joss Whedon and Race: Critical Essays, and, most importantly, three-time winner of the Mr. Pointy Award for Best Work in Whedon Studies. Together we spill a LOT of words on episodes “The Wish,” “Amends,” and “Gingerbread.” We discuss visions of duality and unintended consequences, Cordelia Chase as the embodiment of the construct of white privilege, Also Mary Ellen teases her new podcast Supposedly Great, coming soon! And the new “Buffy Bang Watch” segment is pitched...though maybe not with that title? Next: I’m joined by Jennifer Walsh, writer, producer, and Buffy scholar published in Watcher Junior: The Undergraduate Journal of Whedon Studies. We’ll be discussing episodes 312, “Helpless” and 313, “The Zeppo.” THE BREAKDOWN Intro / Guest (00:00:00 - 00:22:33) Main Topic (00:22:33 - 02:33:19) Outro / Next (02:33:19 - 02:38:14) THE LIBRARY Joss Whedon and Race: Critical Essays, edited by Mary Ellen Iatropoulos and Lowery A.
