Le 17 février, vous entendiez sur RFI le député d'opposition centrafricain Dominique Yandocka - au micro de Christophe Boisbouvier - évoquer notamment son incarcération d'un an en 2024, au cours de laquelle il affirme avoir été empoisonné. Aujourd'hui, Dominique Yandocka est encore sous le coup d'une condamnation pour « délit de complot ». Notre Grand invité Afrique ce matin est Mathurin Dimbélé Nakoé, le chef de file de la majorité présidentielle au sein de l'Assemblée nationale centrafricaine. Il revient sur cette affaire et sur une disposition de la nouvelle Constitution, interdisant aux binationaux de concourir pour la magistrature suprême. Mathurin Dimbélé Nakoé répond aux questions de Liza Fabbian. RFI : Pourquoi les autorités ont-elles transgressé la règle de l'immunité parlementaire et jeté le député Dominique Yandocka en prison pendant plus d'un an ?  Mathurin Dimbélé Nakoé : Je voudrais vous demander et demander à Monsieur Yandocka, de se référer à l'article 119 de la loi portant règlement intérieur de l'Assemblée nationale de la République centrafricaine. Lorsque le député est pris en flagrant délit de commission d'une infraction donnée, le député est arrêté et l'Assemblée nationale est informée plus tard. Il se trouve que, malheureusement, l'infraction commise par Dominique Yandocka tombe sous le coup des dispositions de cette loi-là. Et donc le parquet n'avait pas besoin de demander la levée de l'immunité de Dominique Yandocka.Alors, Dominique Yandocka a été accusée de complot pour renverser les autorités. Il a été condamné à un an de prison, une peine qu'il avait purgé au moment de sa condamnation. Un an de prison pour une tentative de coup d'État, n'est-ce pas une peine assez faible finalement ? Les opposants y voient une tentative de couvrir une procédure sans fondement…Moi, je ne pense pas de la même manière. Il y a le principe de séparation de pouvoir entre la justice et le pouvoir exécutif. À partir de là, le juge fait son travail en toute liberté, en toute souveraineté et ils ont peut-être décidé de condamner Yandocka à un an d'emprisonnement ferme. C'est une peine qui a été décidée et qui est peut-être conforme à l'infraction commise. L'essentiel est que le juge l'ait prononcée en toute souveraineté, en toute liberté.Confirmez-vous que Dominique Yandocka a été victime d'une tentative d'empoisonnement pendant son incarcération ? C'était en février 2024, selon lui. Que savez-vous de l'épisode qu'il relate ?Vous savez, Monsieur Yandocka, c'est un jeune leader qui cherche à se faire connaître et je pense que ça, ce sont des allégations inventées de toutes pièces. Il y a que lui seul qui est témoin de son empoisonnement, mais est-ce que sa parole vaut quelque chose ? Je ne sais pas. Moi, à sa place, je ferais le dos rond, parce que, malgré la faute commise, eh bien la justice a trouvé moyen de le mettre en liberté. La procédure n'est pas terminée. Il faudrait qu'on attende d'abord la décision de la Cour de cassation pour commencer à se livrer à des accusations. Je ne vois pas comment on peut l'empoisonner et le laisser vivre. Vous comprenez que c'est absurde. Vraiment, c'est un non-sens.Alors, depuis l'adoption de la nouvelle Constitution en Centrafrique, plusieurs figures de l'opposition sont exclues de la présidentielle à venir, car certaines dispositions écartent justement les binationaux. N'est-ce pas une volonté du président Faustin-archange Touadéra, d'effacer ses principaux opposants, dont la plupart sont binationaux ?Le président Touadéra a déjà été à l'élection présidentielle avec Dologuélé, Mboli-Goumba et Ziguélé. Il est sorti vainqueur et en 2020 aussi. La Constitution dit clairement que la démocratie, c'est le pouvoir du peuple par le peuple et pour le peuple. Alors moi, je pense que si le peuple a choisi de dire qu'il ne veut plus d'un président binational, le peuple a ses raisons. Et la raison fondamentale, c'est d'éviter tout conflit d'intérêts. Et je pense que ce problème n'est pas le seul apanage des Centrafricains.Serait-il envisageable d'ouvrir un dialogue en vue d'amender cette mesure que l'opposition juge donc discriminatoire ?Pour modifier une telle disposition, il faut repartir devant le peuple. Le président Touadéra, seul, ne peut pas, autour d'une table, avec ces gens de l'opposition, décider de quoi que ce soit. Par contre, ils peuvent renoncer à l'une ou l'autre de leur nationalité dans le délai imparti par les lois en vigueur. À ce moment-là, ils seront en règle vis-à-vis du droit centrafricain. C'est la loi qui le dit. Ce n'est pas Touadéra qui l'a inventé.Le président Faustin Archange Touadéra sera-t-il candidat à l'élection présidentielle de décembre prochain ?Je ne sais pas. Je ne suis pas le professeur Touadéra, mais en tant que peuple centrafricain, je voudrais qu'il soit candidat. Contrairement aux autres qui vont tout le temps séjourner en France, rester longtemps en France, abandonnant leur pays, pendant tous les événements que nous avons connus dans ce pays. Touadéra a été en Centrafrique, Touadéra à partager les mêmes souffrances, les mêmes peines que le peuple centrafricain. Et ça, le peuple n'est pas prêt à oublier.Et si c'est son souhait, quand pourrait-il annoncer sa candidature ?Le président Touadéra a un parti politique et je pense qu'il appartient au parti politique, lors d'un congrès extraordinaire, d'annoncer sa candidature et de l'investir. J'aimerais que cela se fasse vite pour que le peuple soit heureux et pour que le peuple soit en paix.

Being bored at the Olympics is a good thing if you're Dr. Marcy Faustin. Faustin is a co-head team physician for USA women's gymnastics. Paris will be her second Olympics. The delayed Tokyo Games were her first Olympic experience. She thought protecting her athletes from COVID-19 and injury would be her main challenge. Instead, she found herself thrust into one of the most seismic moments in sports when superstar Simone Biles had to withdraw from competition to take care of her mental health. "What Simone was able to do is show that you need to take care of yourself first even if she feels the external pressure of the gymnastics community, the Olympics and the world needing her to be the face of the Games. It allowed other people to say, 'I'm not doing OK right now and I'm having a hard time,'" Faustin said. "The Simone effect" rippled through the Games and the world, giving other athletes the freedom to admit the mental toll training and competing takes. Protecting the mind is as important as protecting the body, according to Faustin. Athletes work with sports psychologists. The USOPC provides additional mental health help during the Games. At USA Gymnastics, Faustin and Dr. Ellen Casey share the responsibility of taking care of the athletes and supporting personnel and their families. It's a holistic approach centered on making individuals feel safe, comforted and supported. Faustin said, "Everyone who is a part of the team knows we have to do that physical aspect, but we also have to do that mental aspect. Whatever that is for that individual person." Faustin is a former college athlete. Her primary job is working for UC Davis Sports Medicine in Sacramento taking care of non-Olympic patients and giving sports medicine lectures. Depuis plus de six mois, des habitants du quartier Manomapia, de la commune de Fungurume dans la région du Katanga, dénoncent des cas de pollution de l'air, de l'eau et du sol. Ils accusent l'entreprise Tenke Fungurume Mining (TFM), l'un des gros producteurs du cuivre et du cobalt en RDC, qui a construit dans ce quartier sa nouvelle usine de traitement de ces minerais. Selon la communauté, une centaine de personnes ont déjà consulté le personnel soignant, que ce soit pour des problèmes respiratoires, des éruptions cutanées ou encore des saignements de nez. Saignements de nez, vomissements de sang : depuis décembre, six enfants sont morts. L'entreprise dément toute responsabilité. De notre envoyée spéciale de Fungurume, Assise sur une natte à l'entrée de sa maison, située à moins de 10 mètres de l'usine 30 K de TFM au quartier Manomapia, Alphonsine Mwambuyi pleure encore son bébé de six mois décédé il y a plus de quatre semaines : « Les infirmiers ont dit que les poumons de mon bébé étaient attaqués par l'acide. Il toussait beaucoup. Ensuite, il a vomi beaucoup de sang. Mon bébé m'a quitté dans ces conditions. J'ai une grosse blessure au cœur... »Alors que la discussion se poursuit, d'autres habitants du quartier en colère approchent. Marie-Claire Kabulo, âgée d'une cinquantaine d'années, n'hésite pas à montrer les éruptions cutanées sur son ventre : « Ces gros boutons apparaissent sur tout mon corps. Regardez, en dessous des aisselles… Vous voyez, madame ! Et j'ai de fortes douleurs, c'est dur. »« Nous mourrons à petit feu »D'après ces habitants, l'usine refoule chaque soir du gaz dans l'air. Ce qui affecte leur santé. Hélène Banza, qui a aussi saigné du nez il y a quelques semaines, relate les symptômes : « D'abord la tête devient lourde, tu as eu mal au cœur comme si on t'avait poignardé. Et puis la gorge sèche, les yeux et le nez chatouillent. Après des grosses gouttes de sang coulent du nez... »Un peu plus loin, Héritier, jeune papa d'une trentaine d'années, prend un bain de soleil devant sa maison. Lui non plus ne cache pas sa colère : « Les autorités nous demandent de nous calmer et pourtant, ici, nous mourons à petit feu... Moi, je n'ai nulle part où aller. Là, vous me voyez, je suis malade et affaibli, je ne travaille plus. »Analyses en coursÀ plus d'un kilomètre à l'est de l'usine est construit un centre de santé public. Vêtu de sa blouse blanche, Faustin, infirmier de garde, est aussi conscient du danger : « L'odeur de l'acide arrive jusqu'ici au centre de santé. Et pour nous protéger, nous mettons les masques qui sont conservés là dans l'armoire. Nous les donnons aussi aux malades internés dans le centre. »Plus de 100 malades provenant du quartier Manomapia ont été référés à l'hôpital général de la commune de Fungurume pour des soins. L'entreprise TFM déclare qu'elle prend très au sérieux les plaintes des habitants. Elle assure par ailleurs que ses mesures de protection de l'environnement sont conçues selon les normes les plus strictes. Autrement dit, le soutien de la France, et plus particulièrement de François Mitterrand au régime « raciste, corrompu et violent » de Juvénal Habyarimana. « Le Rwanda », a été dit-il, « une conquête personnelle de François Mitterrand. Le Point voit en lui un « dauphin » et publie des photos de Gabriel Attal, enfant, ou avec ses frères et sœurs, grimaçant et riant dans un photomaton. Des clichés sans aucun doute fournis par le principal intéressé. Le Point qui va jusqu'à décrypter, le « style » du Premier ministre : la mèche de cheveux du « gendre idéal », la montre du papa trop tôt décédé, l'iPhone dont le fond d'écran est une photo de famille.Aucune nouveauté selon l'ObsPour l'hebdomadaire, il s'agit, ni plus ni moins, que de « faire du vieux avec du neuf ». Car « Gabriel Attal, fidèle parmi les fidèles, parfaite incarnation du macronisme, n'est le gage d'aucun changement de cap, mais bien d'une continuité totale ». Et l'Obs enfonce le clou : « La marge de manœuvre de Gabriel Attal, condamné par la toute-puissance macronienne à tenir le rôle d'un super porte-parole, apparaît quasi-nulle. Aucun ministre, si dynamique fût-il, ne peut changer la donne politique : un président empêché par son absence de majorité et une extrême droite en embuscade, à l'affut d'une démocratie qui s'affaiblit. »Une tête d'affiche nommée Rachida DatiLe Journal du Dimanche s'interroge. « Coup de com ou changement de cap ? » Mais Gabriel Attal n'est pas l'unique centre d'intérêt. Une femme lui vole la vedette. Rachida Dati, la nouvelle ministre de la Culture. Selon le JDD, le nouveau Premier ministre n'est pour rien dans sa nomination. Rachida Dati, ex-ministre de la Justice sous Nicolas Sarkozy, fait la Une du Parisien Dimanche. « Je montre à une partie de la France que tout est possible », assure celle qui est restée très proche de Nicolas Sarkozy. « On ne peut pas se désespérer d'avoir un gigantesque problème d'intégration en France, et regretter une nomination comme la mienne à la Culture. » Elle balaie d'un revers de main, les sarcasmes à son encontre et raconte : « J'ai même entendu, "a-t-elle déjà lu un livre ?" J'attends désormais la prochaine question : "Sait-elle lire ?" »S'il y en a une en tout cas qui est prête à lui savonner la planche, c'est bien son ennemie intime, la maire de Paris, Anne Hidalgo qui s'exprime dans la Tribune Dimanche. À la question : « Êtes-vous surprise par l'entrée de Rachida Dati dans le gouvernement Attal ? Elle répond : "Comme tout le monde, mais peut-être moins que les acteurs de la culture, à qui du fond du cœur, je souhaite bon courage". Les deux femmes s'opposent depuis des années au Conseil de Paris, où Anne Hidalgo accuse Rachida Dati d'avoir "fait entrer l'injure, l'insulte, la provocation permanente". "Ce qui est désormais en marche", accuse la maire de Paris, "c'est la trumpisation de la culture et de l'audiovisuel public, un beau programme pour 2026". » Allusion aux prochaines élections municipales où les deux femmes pourraient s'affronter dans la conquête de Paris.

Anne-Lise Rousset Séguret est actuellement sous les feux de l'actualité après sa brillante 2e place récemment glanée à la Hardrock 100, derrière Courtney Dauwalter.Je vous propose de revenir dans ce format replay estival sur l'exploit réalisé en 2022 par Anne-Lise sur le mythique sentier corse, le GR20.Anne-Lise s'est lancée sur ce sentier non pas pour aller déguster les spécialités locales au fil des refuges, mais pour se frotter au record féminin de vitesse sur la distance. Sous une pluie fine et malgré des fortes rafales de vent, plus de 51.000 finishers ont terminé l'édition 2023 du Marathon de Paris. Parmi eux, l'Ethiopien Abeje Ayana a créé la surprise en l'important chez les hommes. La course femmes, elle, a été remportée par la Kenyane Helah Kiprop au bout d'un sprint final haletant. Benoît Boutron et Yohan Durand débriefent cette course et reçoivent une pléiade d'invités : le premier Français, Mehdi Frère, Faustin Guigon et la première Française, Anaïs Quemener. She is also the USA Gymnastics women's national team physician and was at Tokyo Olympics giving Simone Biles care and support in her time of need. Despite lots of progress, mental health in gymnastics is still stigmatized, which leaves a lot of athletes feeling as though they're the only ones dealing with anxiety, depression, or other dark thoughts. This episode is to help show athletes that they're not alone, not only is it normal but it's something that can get better.   We discuss: What's causing the mental health stigma? Why Mental health issues should be treated just like injuries. The difference between empathy and sympathy.  One of the best tools for Anxiety. Mental health has always been one of those topics within the Black community that hasn't always been spoken about enough. Generationally, we have typically looked down on seeking help with mental health or maybe didn't know if it was available or how to seek help. Things have started to change and Black representation is what is helping change the narrative. Kurt Faustin often talks about being at a low place mentally in his life where he wasn't making the best decisions. The genius thing he did however was fail forward and revamped his brand which is tailored around mental health. He's even teamed up with Wallo from “Million Dollars Worth of Game” for his “Dropout Summit” helping the youth take control of their futures with certainty and purpose! Celeste The Therapist has always been a supporter of ours and also someone we look up to in the podcast space. Lou & I connected at a birthday party of a mutual friend. When I found out she has Scoliosis, i I knew she had to come on the show. Here is Lou's story. In 9th grade when she & her sister were getting ready for track. Her sister came up behind her “what's wrong with your back?!” asking as a teenager sister would in front of everyone. She went to an orthopedic & chiropractor being filled with “false promises.” She remembers the love hate relationships between those professionals. She noticed that as a kid she shifted her weight to one side. Her mom would say you stand like a chicken! “I didn't want to be that kid who showed weakness.” After time what she realized was her body wasn't showing weakness, it's just how she was & is. Not being comfortable to have surgery, she made the decision to stick with the chiropractor. After being aligned, she felt great but quickly found out that it was just a “placebo affect.” Knowing she always had a passion for muscle definition she loved seeing how strong bodies could become. Her father got a membership & asked if she wanted to be his gym buddy. When she started competing, she found the tricks on how to cover her curves. Place the hair perfectly to hide her curves. As she progressed, posing would change, showing her back not having her hair in the way. “That scared me.” The judges loved her, but there was her back. In Belgium, things were a little different. She hired a posing coach who taught her stand. She's not just a competitor, she's also a power lifter. What her curves have taught her, wear you hair up, wear that open back shirt. Some professional body builders who have inspired Sydney Gillian & Lamar Grant. While she loves body building, she openly discusses that there is no one size fits all. Faustin Dushimimana is a 19 year old immigrant from a refugee camp in Rwanda. He was given the opportunity to come to the U.S. when he was only 8 years old and not all of his family was allowed to come with him. Faustin says “Coming to the US was the best thing to ever happen to me because in the refugee camp there were no opportunities for me and my family. Now that I am in the US I would like to take the opportunity and help  make a difference not only in my life but in the lives of others in a similar situation.” Faustin is a budding entrepreneur still finding his path and learning to live in his truth.
