In this episode, I opened up about a recent personal experience where I was overwhelmed, frustrated, and irritated. As someone who has been transparent about my journey of healing and self-discovery, I share how I navigated these difficult emotions and the importance of acknowledging, rather than suppressing, what we're feeling. I dive into the cultural and social pressures that often lead women to hide their emotions, from the fear of being perceived as weak to the desire to maintain a perfect public image. I walk you through the steps of mindfully identifying your feelings, accepting them without judgment, and finding healthy ways to express them. Through my own story and insight, my desire is to empower you to embrace the messy, beautiful journey of emotional honesty. We are all human and that navigating our emotions is a lifelong process. By cultivating self-compassion and vulnerability, we can find freedom and deepen our relationships with ourselves and others.   Key Takeaways: The importance of acknowledging and accepting our emotions, rather than trying to suppress them Understanding the cultural and social pressures that contribute to hiding our feelings Steps to mindfully identify, accept, and express our emotions in a healthy way The power of self-compassion and vulnerability in the journey of emotional honesty Strategies for seeking support and professional help when needed Email me at michelle@setfreesisterhood.com and say I'm Ready! We're in our FEELS today, baby. I'm bringing you a slightly longer epi (per your feedback on IG) that dives deep into why we stuff down our true emotions so much, why that is SO bad for us, and how we can break the toxic ass cycle of emotionally numbing and distracting ourselves from how we REALLY feel. We'll also talk about how sometimes we even hold ourselves back from feeling true joy because we're punishing ourselves for the past or we think we don't deserve to be happy. Are you dealing with grief from losing a person you loved to death? Have you been struggling through the aftershocks of a tough breakup? A lost job? A broken dream?? Have you been spending HOURS on your phone to distract yourself from how low you actually feel inside? Are you a man who has fallen into the trap of toxic masculinity and adopted a hard exterior that hides your true emotions? If you can say “yes” to any of these, this epi is for you baby!!! Life is a beautiful mess full of SO MANY ups and downs. Let's talk about how we can embrace that truth and stop trying to avoid the low moments. In my 25 years of private practice, the #1 issue I worked on with clients was feeling their emotions.  Whether someone was anxious, reactive and raging or numb to the world, the question they were all asking was, “What the heck do I do with these emotions?” I've been there too. And it breaks my heart, because experiencing emotions is one of the gifts of being human.  But the good news is that all of us can reclaim this part of ourselves and learn to feel our emotions. And when we do, it unlocks all kinds of possibilities in life!  In this episode, I'm breaking down why it's so important that we learn to feel our emotions and some practical ways to do that. I'm also addressing some of the common fears and discomfort around feeling emotions (like, “What if I get stuck in this emotion?”) and helping you understand why this is your birthright – and how it can improve your relationships, your intuition and your life!  Listen to discover: Why it's so important to feel your emotions Why most humans struggle with this Four practical ways to feel your emotions  How to connect with your inner child How to overcome blocks in feeling emotions No one is born without emotions, but along the way, we learn to suppress them – and in turn, disconnect from who we really are.  Feeling emotions is the key to connecting back to yourself and one of the foundational pillars of being a healthy adult. I hope this episode helps guide you back to this essential part of you. "We'd have a completely different world if we were all able to tune into what our emotions are." - Michelle Chalfant "We become whole humans when we feel our emotions." - Michelle Chalfant "We're all born to feel emotions." - Michelle Chalfant "When we feel our emotions, it is a gateway into our intuition. Listen to discover: ●       Why it's so important to feel your emotions ●       Why most humans struggle with this ●       Four practical ways to feel your emotions ●       How to connect with your inner child ●       How to overcome blocks in feeling emotions No one is born without emotions, but along the way, we learn to suppress them – and in turn, disconnect from who we really are. We have enhanced intuition when we are in tune with and know what we are feeling emotionally." - Michelle Chalfant "Instead of asking yourself, 'What do I think?" ask yourself, "What do I feel?'" - Michelle Chalfant "Empathy is when we're able to tune into another person and feel what they're feeling. Welcome back! After taking off the month of September, I have had space to come up with new ideas and topics for us to discuss. I love when you let me know what you're interested to hear on the podcast. Any time you want to hear about a certain topic, let me know! Today we're talking about emotions. I'm going to talk about what to do with emotions—especially if you struggle with expressing your emotions and feelings. Feeling emotions can be uncomfortable and downright scary. There are various reasons we block ourselves from feeling. And we need to do that sometimes in order to cope and survive through difficulties and traumatic situations. In this space, with me, all of your emotions are welcome—I'm not afraid of them. I actually think we need to let them surface because they're indicators. They're helping us to know what's going on below the surface and help us gain a better understanding of you and why you feel what you feel. Consider these questions: What will happen if you allow your emotions to surface? What does that mean for you and the people around you? How will your life be affected? What is going to change? Sit with that. It's important to allow yourself to go there. If you're unlearning something you've been conditioned in and you're relearning a new practice, you have to practice it everyday for it to become something that you naturally do. So as you go throughout your days, make note of any physical things you feel. As you become more mindful and aware, you're going to have more insight. I want you to also make note of the thoughts that go through your mind every day. As you track your physical feelings and thoughts, you and I will have more insight into what's going on. Sometimes the biggest problem is that we don't feel safe within ourselves. Let the emotions surface—as overwhelming as they seem. They will not always be overwhelming. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/corinne-guido-powell/message

Therefore in order to make any lasting sustainable change one must do the inner work of changing from within. Feel it in order to heal it. ~ We are returning home. Where is home? Home is within you. God within. Christ’s second return is your return to SELF. Your Christ consciousness awakening. The Sun within you making connection with itself. What we have feared all along is ourselves. Our potential. So we gave our power away to others in relationships, jobs, entertainment, addictions, because ultimately we don’t trust our selves. We don’t trust ourselves because we haven’t allowed ourselves to feel our own emotions. We suppress and medicate, deny and suppress because you know “emotions are weak”. Our society has programmed us to turn against our selves. We fear ourselves because we don’t allow ourselves to feel what our body is telling us over and over to feel. When you feel Into your emotions you validate the essence of who you are. You are energy! Everything is energy. Emotion = E- motion- energy in motion. To pacify your emotions is to deny Self. To deny Self is to become a victim of life. Being tossed in the wind without direction. ~ We are returning home. We are coming back to Earth. To our divine rights as sovereign beings. ~ Nurture Mother Earth for she nurtures you. She is benevolent. As are you at the core because there can be nothing but what is. Humans suffer and cause suffering to others because of this one thing: separation from Self. Separation from Source. A lack of awareness of who and what we actually are as divine creators, the most advance technology there is and ever will be. ~ If you want to support this podcast please send your heart donations to PayPal.me/amyletitia777 ~ Much love, Amy-Letitia --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/beautifullyempowered/message

After decades of narcissistic abuse from her family of origin and 4 years of chronic pain - she made the mindbody connection in early 2019. Essentially, the mindbody connection is a theory that states that repressed emotions from childhood trauma are stored in the body, and can manifest as chronic pain and other mystery symptoms. The solution is to allow oneself to feel those repressed emotions, which Adriana did very reluctantly at first as this was truly hard to believe. Lo and behold, doing this inner work worked for her and she has been spreading the message ever since. In this episode, we discuss the importance of letting yourself feel all of your emotions, how emotions can turn physical, growing up with a narcissistic parent, recovering from emotional abuse, loyalty vs. abuse, setting boundaries, and more.FOLLOW ADRIANA:WEBSITE: www.letsgetyourshifttogether.com/INSTA: @letsgetyourshifttogetherCONTACT TARA:INSTA: @tara.mont / @trustandthriveYOUTUBE: Tara MontFACEBOOK: bit.ly/FBtaramontWEBSITE: www.tara-mont.comEMAIL: tara@tara-mont.com

Christian women often aspire to live that Proverbs 31 life, or what we perceive it to be. But sometimes the expectations are unrealistic, the pressure gets to be too great, and the doubts set it. Are you doing the right things and avoiding the wrong things? Do you feel the need to be better, sweeter, and to live a more godly life? Are you living up to the biblical example found in that text. Is it even realistic? These questions and more are discussed by co-hosts Darlene Brock and Julie Graham as they willingly admit their failures and tendencies to compare. While becoming like Christ is their desire, they realize too often we are judging ourselves and others by impossible standards. In this episode, they freely embrace the grace God extends to every strong woman (and those who want to be)—encouraging you to remember that it is not because of what you do or how good you are that you are loved. All About Buffering-How to Feel your Emotions

In this short episode I  talk all about buffering and the habits we build in an attempt to avoid feeling negative emotions. I discuss the value of being able to recognize our thoughts and how they are creating the feelings that lead to buffering.  Buffering is when we use external things to change how we feel internally; an artificial external thing that changes how we feel internally. Buffering is a way of numbing your emotions instead of figuring out why you are feeling them. The answer to why you are feeling them is of course your thoughts...but for many of us we aren’t aware of our thoughts because they’ve run so long in the background of our lives that they have become unconscious. You have to ALLOW all the thoughts and know that you can ALLOW all the feelings too. There is nothing you can’t handle.  Buffering and numbing happen because we are never taught HOW to process our emotions or we have learned that we need to FEAR our emotions.  So for many of us buffering and numbing become long-standing habits that don’t serve us.  When you stop buffering, you start living the truth of your life. You start seeing exactly what is going on in your mind and in your emotions and your actions. When you stay conscious, you can evaluate these patterns in a way that motivates change. You don’t want a life where you have to keep turning off the lights. You want a life where you are proud to keep the lights on. Let’s talk about self-love. We all struggle to some extent with it, from doubting ourselves, to battling insecurities, and feeling unworthy. We know these are things we need to let go of, but the problem lies in the fact that we have no idea how. When we search for how to cultivate more self-love, the suggestions we find are just silly. Will getting a massage or buying ourselves another pair of shoes really help us love ourselves more? Let’s be real, those are just cover-ups. If those don’t work, then where do we find more of this thing called self-love?  In this episode of This Grit and Grace Life podcast, hosts Darlene and Julie dive into the topic of self-love, everything from what’s stopping you from loving yourself more, to mindset shifts for accepting your insecurities, and the changes you need to make to boldly and confidently walk in the way that God created you. Because the Ask Dr. Zoe column has given us so many great answers to life's questions, we decided to bring Dr. Zoe back to the podcast to discuss some of those a little deeper. We have received a lot of questions from women dealing with three specific issues, so we tackled each of those on this episode. How do we handle anxiety or worry and what is "normal?" How do you get your "forever fiancé" to follow through on his commitment? Can you leave hurt or trauma from your past behind? Co-hosts, Darlene Brock and Julie Graham, will tell you that every discussion they have with Dr. Zoe is chock-full of incredible wisdom. This one is no exception! These answers may be for you or perhaps someone you love. Listen now and share with a friend who's also living this #gritandgracelife. It does help just to take a quick before you react. Just take 10 seconds. Do some deep Lamaze breathing, deep yoga breathing, where you breathe into the belly. It's amazing how much stress that relieves.Suggested ResourcesBook: The Shack by William P. YoungBook: Why Bad Things Happen To Good People by Harold KushnerApp: Brainwave 32  (It plays pulsating waves which keep me focused)Advice for Newbie Start small, baby steps. Just pick one activity each day to be mindful for and a small amount of time. Whether you chose to follow a guided meditation or you chose to actively pray where you're actually focused on the prayer. Or you do devotional time, journalling. Even if it's something as simple as, I'm going to mindfully wash the dishes and not let my mind race off, but be clear in the present washing the dishes.

This show is all about visualizing a better reality especially for those living in the cold East Coast. As we visualize, we start feeling what are cells are feeling and that is a place in which we increase our vibrational frequency. To help us out, Jimmy Mack is back to move us forward. You can either use your pendulum or simply use muscle testing as you find out your blocks and shift you forward. It’s all about nurturing the community in which we are a part of… planet earth. http://loaradionetwork.com/jewels http://jimmymackhealing.com http://getjoyride.com/lawofattraction
