Erschöpft fällt Sara auf die große, alte Wohnzimmercouch. Draußen sind 30 Grad. Die Sonne brennt. An der Decke klappert der Ventilator. Klack, klack, klack. Mit jeder Umdrehung macht er mehr Geräusche als kühlenden Wind. Sara ist heiß. Sie greift zur Fernbedienung des Fernsehers und drückt den roten Power-Knopf. Aber nichts passiert. Der Bildschirm bleibt schwarz. Immer wieder drückt sie auf die Fernbedienung, ohne dass der Fernseher eine Regung zeigt. Genervt verdreht die 16-Jährige die Augen. „Sind die Batterien leer?“, denkt sie und drückt immer heftiger auf die Tasten. Nichts passiert. „Oh Man, echt jetzt?“ Genervt steht Sara auf und macht einen großen Schritt Richtung Fernseher. Wieder drückt sie auf den Power-Knopf, aber nichts geschieht. Mit einem tiefen, gereizten Ausatmer lässt Sara Fernbedienung und Schultern nach unten sacken und dreht sich um zum Stubenschrank. „Okay, wenn wir Batterien haben, dann doch wohl hier.“ Sie öffnet auf Verdacht die unterste Schublade des braunen Schranks, dessen Inhalt sie vorher nie interessiert hat, und sieht ein wildes Durcheinander vor sich. Untersetzer, eine Lupe, Postkarten, Stifte, Schlüsselanhänger, eine Schere usw. Irgendwo in dieser Krims-Krams-Schublade könnten doch auch Batterien sein, oder? Sara beginnt zu wühlen in dem wilden Sammelsurium, bei dem kein Teil zu dem anderen passt. “Man, wo sind die denn?”, fragt sich Sara, jetzt laut und hörbar genervt. Immer tiefer wühlt sie sich in die große Schublade, bis sie, ganz unten, auf dem Boden, etwas Großes, Flaches ertastet. Sie zieht es heraus und hält plötzlich eine Mappe, eine grüne Mappe in den Händen. Die hatte sie zuvor nie gesehen. „Was ist das denn?“, fragt sich Sara. „Warum liegt der nicht bei den anderen Akten von Papa?“ Der Ordner ist unbeschriftet und sehr leicht. Es scheinen nur wenige Papiere darin zu sein. Sara öffnet die Mappe neugierig. Tatsächlich sind nur sieben oder acht Blätter darin abgelegt. Der Teenager erkennt, dass die Papiere auf einer anderen Sprache geschrieben sind: auf Deutsch. Und dass ist ungewöhnlich. Sara lebt in Marokko! Das junge Mädchen versteht kein Deutsch, aber sie hat in der Schule das lateinische Alphabet gelernt. Dass das Dokument aus Deutschland stammt, ist darum eine Vermutung, die stimmt. Die Batterien sind nun vergessen. Sara hält den Atem an. Sie weiß: dieses deutsche Dokument könnte die Antwort auf eine Frage sein, die sie schon ihr ganzes Leben quält. Eine Frage, die Sara sehr schmerzt. Eine Frage, die sie sich immer wieder stellt, ohne eine Antwort zu bekommen. Sind diese Blätter in dem grünen Ordner der Schlüssel für alles? Was Sara nicht ahnt. Dieses Dokument wird Jahre später eine Suche möglich machen, auf die ich mich begeben werde, um Sara endlich Antworten zu liefern. CELÝ ROZHOVOR V DÉLCE 51 MIN. JEN NA HTTPS://HEROHERO.CO/CESTMIR Fico není Slovensko, Fico nejsou Slováci a budu rád, když nás tak budete brát, říká bratislavský primátor a architekt Matúš Vallo. Zastánci demokracie se podle něj dopustili základní chyby, když podlehli přesvědčení, že ji po roce 1989 vybojovali navždy. Přitom ve skutečnosti je třeba o ni bojovat skoro každý den, každý svou prací a konkrétními činy. Navzdory tomu, že teď jeho zemi hrozí ovládnutí veřejnoprávních médií, všemožných kontrolních funkcí státu, policie a jde diplomatickou cestou vedoucí k izolaci od Evropské unie, chce být optimistou. Ostatně těžké časy Slováci už zažili. Fakt, že se Robert Fico stal znovu premiérem, je bolestivý, ale vrátil se do čela jiné společnosti, než na kterou byl zvyklý. A Vallo pevně věří, že ta se nenávisti a nesmyslům, které živí, dokáže ubránit. Vzdát se odmítá i své vize, že z Bratislavy udělá současné evropské město s kvalitním veřejným prostorem, byť si kvůli tomu vysloužil nálepku zlého městského liberála a někdy musí dělat nepopulární rozhodnutí, jejichž správnost ukáže až čas. Už od svých studií na Kolumbijské univerzitě je ale přesvědčený, že právě veřejný prostor ovlivňuje to, jak se lidé cítí a v důsledku toho také chovají k sobě navzájem. A on má v popisu práce zlepšovat lidem život a chce v tom pokračovat. Jak hodnotí blížící se prezidentské volby na Slovensku a jejich favority? Jak je možné jednou lavičkou ovlivnit česko-slovenské vztahy? Proč jsou ve městech důležité cyklostezky? Nebo co by změnil v Praze? I to jsme probrali s Matúšem Vallo.
