Labor day was fun, but we are happy to be back! The Daily Migs Download is here! We chat about the Mariners losing. And the Sounders winning the Leagues cup!
What could have been a special night for Inter Miami turned into an ugly one on and off the field. Co-hosts Franco Panizo and Jose Armando discuss Inter Miami's 3-0 loss to the Seattle Sounders in the Leagues Cup final, the postgame brawl, Luis Suarez's spitting actions, Lionel Messi's crucial miss, Benjamin Cremaschi's reported move to Parma, and more.

On today's podcast, we sit down with Chef Brad Kilgore, ICONIC award-winning chef and wine enthusiast, and get a front-row seat into the mind of a Michelin-starred chef - one of America's most innovative culinary voices. Known for blending bold global flavors with fine-dining precision, Kilgore explores the ever-evolving world of food, creativity, and culture. Website: kilgoreculinary.com Instagram: brad_kilgore BACK STORY Widely recognized for his boundary-pushing creativity, Kilgore has earned accolades from Food & Wine (Best New Chef), James Beard (multiple nominations), Esquire (Best New Restaurants), and The New York Times, which called his work “refined, inventive, and unforgettable.” With a reputation for blending artistic precision with bold global flavors, Kilgore has cooked at the prestigious James Beard House, collaborated with global hospitality brands, and is now turning heads again—this time for championing Itameshi, a rising Japanese-Italian fusion trend he's helping introduce to American diners. Already gaining global momentum, Itameshi combines the depth and umami of Japanese cuisine with the rich traditions of Italy—creating dishes that feel both deeply comforting and wildly inventive. From yuzu-kosho buttered pastas to miso-infused carbonara and caviar-topped pizzas, Kilgore is blending the best of both cultures and delivering it with the precision of fine dining and the heart of a neighborhood favorite. With five acclaimed restaurants already in operation—including Mad Lab, CIMA, Verge at Concourse Club, Café Sebastian, and Fisher Island—and two new openings coming soon in San Francisco (Ama) and Fort Myers (OISE), Kilgore is bringing this genre-bending flavor profile to diners across the country. He's also expanding his influence far beyond the kitchen with high-profile collaborations at Rosewood Private Residences, OCN Hotel in Mexico, and Inter Miami, Lionel Messi's home team. And perhaps most surprising? His frozen pizza brand, Pizza Freak, born during the pandemic, was just nominated for World's Best Pizza—the only pre-made pizza to make the iconic pizza ranking list. Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Carla Johnson, keynote speaker, bestselling author, and Innovation Architect, who discusses her background, highlights her book, "Re:Think Innovation," and shares insights on innovation and observation. She explains her approach to innovation, including the Wheel of Innovation process and the importance of curiosity and challenging the status quo. Carla shares examples of innovative problem-solving, such as reducing cigarette litter in London, and emphasizes the significance of preparation for effective ideation and pitching in her keynote speaking work.Rethinking Innovation Through Design ThinkingCarla discusses her background in architecture and marketing, emphasizing her design-thinking approach to creating purpose-driven organizations. She defines innovation as the ability to consistently produce new, great, and reliable ideas, highlighting examples like McDonald's drive-through experience. Carla explains that innovative thinking involves connecting dots, curiosity, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. She introduces her book "Re:Think Innovation," which outlines a five-step process called the Wheel of Innovation to help individuals develop creative ideas and achieve extraordinary outcomes.Competitive Litter Campaign Inspires ChangeCarla shares the story of Treewin Restorick, who founded the nonprofit Hubbub to make people environmentalists, even unintentionally. The City of London contacted him about their problem of spending over a million pounds annually on cleaning cigarette butts. Treewin observed that typical anti-litter campaigns either shamed people or made them feel obligated to donate, so he decided to inspire behavior change through competition. He created yellow boxes in London featuring Ronaldo and Messi, encouraging people to vote with their cigarette butts by placing them in the appropriate side of the box.Curiosity Drives Global Environmental ChangeCarla shares that experience of using curiosity and observation to inspire environmental change, reducing cigarette litter by 73% in London and repeating similar successes in 37 countries. She explains her keynote speaking work, which covers innovation, curiosity, and the intersection of AI with human creativity, emphasizing that great ideas require preparation and effective pitching. Carla concluded by promoting her website carlajohnson.co, where listeners can take an innovation archetype assessment and sign up for her bi-weekly newsletter focused on creativity and curiosity.Visit https://www.carlajohnson.co to learn more and connect with Carla Johnson.

I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Friday morning, the 29th of August, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of Luke 19:2-3: ”Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature."He was a very short man but I want to say something to you today. Maybe you're short. Short physically, maybe you are short of education, maybe you just haven't had a very good break in life, short of opportunities. Well, I want to talk to you about Zacchaeus. You see, God always compensates. That's what I've found in my life. He never lets you come short if you put your trust in Him alone. He did it for me.Zacchaeus was a very determined, small man. There are some men that are big who are very slack. They don't try, they don't really make an effort. They feel they don't have to, but he was short and maybe he was always left behind. So he became determined in his character. He was a feisty man. I love watching rugby, and normally, the most feisty man on the field is the scrum-half. He normally is the smallest man on the field, but I want to say to you, that doesn't mean to say he is the least. He is the link man and sometimes the most important man on the field. Well, this little man Zacchaeus was not going to be lost in the crowd, so he made a plan. He climbed up a sycamore tree and what happened? Jesus saw him. There weren't any others up the tree. He saw him. He said, ”I'm coming to your house today.” How would you like the Son of God to come to your house today and have a meal with you? He was a chief tax collector, a thief and Jesus came to his house. Zacchaeus invited all his friends to come and join with him.You know, if you're a football fan, there's a man by the name of Lionel Messi, he plays for Argentina. He is 1.7m tall and weighs a mere 67 kgs. At the age of 10 years old, he had a growth hormone deficiency. He has now become a giant in soccer in the world. Anybody who knows anything about soccer knows who Lionel Messi is.I want to say to you today, don't despise your situation. Look up to Jesus and He will see you. Not only will He see you, He will equip you and He will use you mightily. Put your trust in Him, look to Him, give Him all your cares and let Him do the work. Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day today,Goodbye.

Tickets Puras Cosas Maravillosas
