Pocos coches como las furgonetas dan tanto a sus usuarios, les ayudan y conviven cada día con él… y piden tan poco a cambio. Su uso intensivo como herramienta de trabajo y su escaso aprecio como clásico hacen que, poco a poco, vayan desapareciendo… hay excepciones, como la C15, pero ¡salvemos a las furgonetas! ¡A todas! Hoy os traigo una extensa colección de furgonetas clásicas que vale la pena preservar. Siempre revindico las furgonetas como patrimonio digno de conservarse. Y por supuesto, todo tipo de vehículos industriales. Mi querido amigo Ramón Roca, tristemente desaparecido, siempre me decía que los coches que realmente habían sido importantes, que habían cambiado el mundo, que habían conseguido que la vida fuese mejor eran los utilitarios, los coches accesibles y las furgonetas. Y tenía toda la razón. Por mucho que me guste el Lamborghini Miura, justo es reconocer que el sencillo y económico Fiat 500 ha hecho más por hacer la vida más fácil a los italianos de a pie. En el caso de todos los vehículos industriales, verdaderas herramientas de trabajo, esta situación es evidente: Son casi el centro de trabajo, en el caso de los camioneros, por ejemplo, o una especie de “segunda casa”. Todo tipo de profesionales conviven días y días pasan muchas horas en sus furgonetas. Pero como decía este uso intensivo va en contra de su valor como vehículo clásico. Sin olvidar lo mucho que se “estiran” a través de los años. Siempre cuento como en un pueblecito de Guadalajara, el centro de España para quien no lo conozca, vimos un amigo mío y yo una C15 y él me dijo: “Mira, una furgo clásica” y yo le respondí: “no es un clásico, para ese señor es su coche de trabajo”. Y así era. Cuando las furgonetas se jubilan… están para el arrastre. Restaurarlas puede ser caro y no se cotizan, en general, como coches clásicos. Además, salvo que las hagas históricas, en España, si están catalogadas como vehículo industrial, deben pasar la ITV cada 6 meses… así que pocas verás. Pero muchas de ellas no solo han colaborado al cambio social, a hacernos la vida más fácil, en muchos casos llegaba a ser parte del paisaje. Para desesperación de Rodrigo, al que vamos a hacer trabajar mucho, os he traído nada menos que 14 furgonetas aparecidas entre los años 1950 y 1985. Me he centrado en el mercado español, sencillamente, porque muchas de estas furgonetas las conozco de verlas por las calles y carreteras de España. Vamos con ellas. 1. VW T2-T1 (1950). 2. DKW-IMOSA (1954). 3. Alfa Romeo Autotutto (1956). 4. Mercedes-Benz L319 (1956). 5. Citroën 2CV Furgoneta (1958). 6. Renault Estafette (1959). 7. Citroën H (1962). 8. AVIA (1964). 9. Fiat 600 T (1965). 10. Renault 4F (1965). 11. SAVA J4 (1965). 12. Rastrojero F71 (1971). 12+1. Citroën C15 (1984). 14. Nissan Vanette (1985). Conclusión. Todas las furgonetas merecen su pedacito de gloria... y me da rabia haber dejado fuera furgonetas tan interesantes como las Citroën Dyane 6 y Berlingo, las Ebro F180, F275 y Siata, las Mercedes Benz N1000 y N1300, la Pegaso J4, la Renault Express y las Seat Panda Trans y Terra… entre otras. ¡No me cabían todas! ¿Queréis segunda parte? Pues, si es así, y conocéis más marcas, ayudadme.

Programa que se emite en Ondacero MS y en podcast todos los viernes. España es el segundo mayor productor de automóviles en Europa y en 2023 recuperó el octavo lugar a nivel mundial. Ese año, se fabricaron 2.451.221 vehículos en el país, lo que representa un aumento del 10,4% respecto a 2022. Sin embargo, este volumen aún es un 13% inferior al de 2019. Del total de vehículos fabricados, el 90% se exportaron, alcanzando 2.201.802 unidades, lo que supone un incremento del 13,9% en comparación con el año anterior. En cuanto a los vehículos eléctricos y de bajas emisiones, en 2023 se produjeron 509.219 unidades, lo que representa un crecimiento del 59,3% en comparación con 2022. Los vehículos electrificados constituyeron el 13,2% de la producción total, con 323.255 unidades. De estos, 157.751 fueron vehículos eléctricos puros (BEV), lo que supuso un aumento del 24,2%, y 165.504 fueron híbridos enchufables (PHEV), un 18,7% más que el año anterior. En cuanto a las marcas y modelos fabricados en España, SEAT (Grupo Volkswagen) produce en Martorell los modelos Ibiza, Arona, León, Cupra Formentor y el Audi A1, alcanzando una producción global de 534.257 vehículos en 2023. Mercedes, por su parte, fabrica la Vito y Clase V en su planta de Vitoria, donde se produjeron 157.500 vehículos, un 10,9% más. El Grupo Stellantis es el mayor fabricante en España, con fábricas en Figueruelas, Madrid y Vigo. En 2023 fabricó más de 1.003.301 vehículos, lo que supone un aumento del 17,8%. Entre los modelos destacados se encuentran el Citroën C4, Berlingo, Peugeot 2008, Opel Corsa, y Fiat Dobló Van, con más de 139.000 vehículos eléctricos producidos. Renault, con plantas en Valladolid y Palencia, fabricó 301.800 vehículos en 2023, lo que representa un incremento del 37,2% en Palencia y un 6,1% en Valladolid. Iveco, con fábricas en Madrid y Valladolid, ensambló 60.000 unidades en 2023, un 6,7% más que el año anterior. Ford, en su planta de Almussafes, se centra en la producción del Kuga, pero sufrió una caída del 10,6% en 2023, fabricando 219.594 vehículos. Finalmente, Volkswagen, en su planta de Navarra, produjo 273.273 vehículos, aunque con una caída debido a la adaptación de la planta para fabricar vehículos eléctricos a partir de 2026 y problemas de suministro. La Van Life (très) minimaliste avec mon Citroën Berlingo aménagé

Si conduces furgonetas, grandes monovolúmenes y-o autocaravanas, este vídeo te interesa. Me lo habéis pedido muchos de vosotros…. con muy buen criterio. Y es que, en España y en casi todos los países, con el permiso de coches puedes conducir vehículos de hasta 3.500 Kg, con 9 personas incluido el conductor y con un remolque de hasta 750 kg… Y no, para nada se conducen como un coche. ¿En qué se diferencia la conducción de un coche de la de una furgoneta o similar? Hablo sobre todo de las furgonetas más grandes. Básicamente en 6 cosas: Tamaño, peso y su variación, altura, visibilidad, carga y, fruto de todo ello, dinámica de conducción. Hoy hablaré de furgonetas y no de remolques, que merecen video aparte. El tamaño, importa. Hablando de furgonetas, el tamaño importa, pues son más altas, más largas y más anchas. Y algo que se olvida muchas, pero muchas veces… ¡y con mayor distancia entre ejes! ¿Por qué digo esto? Porque si al girar una esquina la tomas como si fuera en coche las ruedas traseras se van a subir en el bordillo… y si en vez de bordillo es un bolardo o un árbol… ¡ya la hemos liado! Hay que tener en cuenta esa distancia entre ejes para dejar más espacio cuando gires. Igual que hay que prever que es más ancha que un coche normal, aunque esto es más intuitivo… y también la altura es un peligro. Peso y su variación. Las furgonetas pesan más, lo cual se nota en aceleración, pero sobre todo al abordar curvas cerradas y al frenar. Siempre sigo que un buen conductor es el que anticipa y en una furgoneta, hay que anticipar más, mucho más. Una furgoneta de ir vacía a ir cargada crece de peso más o menos un 45 por ciento y un coche más o menos un 15 por ciento. Eso quiere decir que las diferencia entre conducir en coche cargado y una furgoneta carga es enorme… y si el peso aumento un 45 por ciento… ¿cuánto crees que aumentan las distancias de frenado?… para ser prudente calcula que más o menos lo mismo. Altura: ¿Una ventaja? No todos son inconvenientes. La altura tiene su parte negativa y su parte positiva. La negativa, es que el centro de gravedad va más alto… la ventaja es la visibilidad. Como os he dicho soy un obseso de anticipar y desde la altura de una furgoneta podemos ver, si el que va delante es un coche, mucho más allá y saber que pasa varios coches por delante. Visibilidad: Bien y mal. Ya hemos hablado de la ventaja para la visibilidad que es ir alto y de hecho las furgonetas, hacia delante y los lados suelen tener una visibilidad extraordinaria… y muy mala hacia atrás. Si viajas con acompañante, en las maniobras no quieras dártelas de experto y a la menor duda recurre al copiloto, que baje y te avise de los que pasa detrás. Y un último consejo que vale para las furgonetas, pero también para los coches: Los espejos laterales no son para ver nuestro coche. Si quieres tener una referencia, que se va ligerísimamente. Conozco quien coloca los espejos de forma que un tercio de lo que ve es su propio vehículo… y toda esa visibilidad “inútil” la pierde en visibilidad “útil”. Carga: ¡Bien sujeta! Si en una furgoneta apilas ladrillos, sacos de tierra o cosas similares y llegas a una curva… desastre. Y aunque la carga no sea pesada, hay que estibarla y asegurarla bien, porque con el movimiento se puede deteriorar. Dinámica de conducción. Recuerdo cuando probé la primera Citroën Berlingo. Con unas suspensiones más duras, previstas para la carga, mayor anchura de vías que un turismo y no mucha mayor altura, en zonas de curvas no es que fuera tan bien como un turismo, es que iba mejor que muchos. Cuento esto porque las furgonetas de hoy día están muy bien hechas y cuentan con motores, frenos y suspensiones previstas para la carga que puedes llevar. No olvides la presión de los neumáticos, sobre todo la trasera: Si los llevas para poco carga, súbela al día que la cargues, porque de lo contrario vas a ir “de lado” como un coche de rallye. Pero no vale poner presiones altas, porque con poco carga las ruedas traseras irán rebotando… así que hay que mirar las presiones más que en un coche de turismo… lo mismo que en una moto. No te voy a aburrir diciendo que un buen conductor de furgoneta es aquel que es prudente, asegura la carga, mira las presiones y anticipa… eso ya lo sabes. Un buen conductor de furgoneta es el que cambia el “chip” cuando se sube ahí arriba. Insisto: Yo juego con ventaja, cuando me subo a mi furgo me cambia el chip, voy muy relajado, charlando, oyendo música o podcast de historia y mirando el paisaje… no corro más de lo necesario, pero lo importante es que no me apetece. Es lo más parecido al “slow driving” … de hecho, es “slow driving”. Conclusión: La verdad es que ahora hay algunos SUV tan grandes y pesados que pueden aplicárseles algunos de estos consejos, igual que en el caso de monovolúmenes grandes y, sobre todo, cuando alquiles una autocaravana. Disfruto mucho conduciendo mi furgoneta, es divertido conducir una furgoneta, pero por tu seguridad y por la seguridad de los demás… ¡hay que cambiar el chip! Furgoneta del día. Lo cierto es que estoy encantado con mi Jumper, pero como soñar es gratis, mi furgo del día seria la Jumper actual más cara y equipada, la 35L3H3 más alta y más larga y con más equipamiento que una berlina de lujo, incluida cámara trasera que la mía no tiene. Todo un lujo.

Euro NCAP ha evaluado por primera vez las capacidades de prevención de accidentes de ocho furgonetas de la categoría de furgoneta pequeña. Entre las que han obtenido la calificación más alta de Oro se encuentran Citroën Berlingo, FIAT Doblo, Opel/Vauxhall Combo, Peugeot Partner, Renault Kangoo Van y Volkswagen Caddy Cargo van. Mientras que Mercedes-Benz Citan y VW ID.Buzz Cargo han alcanzado la calificación máxima de Platino. Las características de asistencia a la conducción (ADAS) que se califican incluyen el asistente de frenada autónoma de emergencia, disponible como estándar o como opción en algunos modelos. En comparación con las calificaciones de seguridad de los automóviles de Euro NCAP, la evaluación de las furgonetas comerciales se enfoca específicamente en la tecnología de prevención de accidentes. As she would discover later, she thought she was happy because early on she embraced being a good girl, a people pleaser, and as a result got a lot of praise from her parents, relatives, and everyone else around her.There was something under the surface though. Growing up in the south in the 80s and 90s, she was exposed to homophobia, racism, a tight grip on monogamy, pseudo-Christianity, and other harmful sentiments coming from the same people whose love brought her happiness. This caused her to deny something she knew to be true.Jen went through what one might call a normal amount of teenage rebellion, became an adult, started a career, got married, and had a child. She had a happy life, and everything seemed fine.But Fine is a 4-Letter Word.As she approached middle age, she achieved a new level of consciousness about herself that led her to ask "Wait. What is my core self? Where's my authentic self?" She started peeling back the layers of familial, cultural, and social conditioning that had allowed – maybe even required – her to adapt to her environment.See, throughout all of this, Jen knew she was queer. While this proved not to be as devastating to her domestic situation as she anticipated, it did end her marriage. And although she continues to have a great friendship with her ex-husband, this acknowledgement did bring on a lot of changes.As part of these changes, Jen took a deep dive into what are known as introjects – the beliefs and values one unconsciously absorbs from the people they love and the society they're raised in. Speed cameras will be installed in areas where it is deemed that too many are breaking the limit, rather than where there are accident blackspot as has been the norm. DECEMBER AND FULL YEAR NEW CAR REGISTRATIONSOnce again we note so many have trouble with the difference between new car registrations and sales. They are not the same. The good news is that registrations rose 17.9% on 2022, but still it is way down on the Before Times, approximately 17.5% down. We always need to put these figures into context. A lot of positive fuss was made about the volume of battery electric cars (BEV) which is impressively up, but the percentage of those registered is down for both December and 2023. Some of this may be due to holding back vehicles with 2024 and the Zero Emission Vehicle mandate about to land. More of a concern will be Private registrations that fell 14% for December and 0.1% for the year. Fleet is doing all the heavy lifting now. Stav na trhu i na českých silnicích popisuje generální ředitelka Aures Holdings Karolína Topolová.Dvouletá Škoda Octavia, která má najeto 40 tisíc kilometrů. Ještě v roce 2019 se prodávala za 410 tisíc korun. Letos už stojí 670 tisíc. Podobný rozdíl lze vidět také u čtyřletého Citroënu Berlingo s nájezdem 80 tisíc kilometrů. Před třemi roky stál 240 tisíc, letos je už za 420 tisíc. A šestiletý Volkswagen Touran poskočil z 260 tisíc na 440 tisíc korun.Ani při vysokých cenách ale hlad po autech neustává a Aures Holding – provozovatel AAA Auto či Mototechny – si tak připsal rekordních 90 tisíc prodaných vozidel a letos cílí na sto tisíc.Co se ale mění, jsou vlastnosti aut. „Koupě vozu už dávno není výstředností nebo luxusem, ale každodenní potřebou. Volí se úspornější auta, menší, ale ta poptávka je stálá,“ říká v rozhovoru pro SZ Byznys šéfka holdingu Karolína Topolová s tím, že poptávka poroste i letos a rozhodně nedosáhla vrcholu. Na ten se ale podle ní dostaly ceny.„Co se týče cen ojetých vozů, ty jsou už momentálně na ustálené hranici. Ten obrovský růst cen byl nezdravý a nepřirozený,“ říká. ¡Sí! ¡Tenéis razón! Hemos hablado de todo tipo de coches, de motos, de camiones, de autocares, de furgonetas derivadas de turismo, ¡de tanques!… pero… ¿y las furgonetas de verdad? ¡Tenéis razón! Las habíamos olvidado… ¡pues ya están aquí! Hemos elegido 10 furgonetas que han marcado la historia… más un “bonus Track” al final... Hay furgonetas que han marcado la historia. He elegido solo 10+1, al final hay una extra, pero hay muchas más. Algunas son evidentes, otras no tanto, pero confieso que en algunas de ellas mi elección tiene que ver con temas no solo profesionales, sino también personales. Espero que os guste esta selección de 10 furgonetas… con un bonus track al final… 1. DKW F89L (1949) Lo más particular de esta furgoneta era su motor de dos tiempos, primero un bicilíndrico de 688 cm3 y 20 CVB que ganó un cilindro para llegar a los 896 cm3 y los 32 CV. Su sonido y su humareda eran muy peculiares. 2. Volkswagen T1 (1949) En esta lista no podía faltar la Volkswagen furgoneta de la primera serie, conocida como Bully, basada en el popular VW Escarabajo. La denominación de este vehículo es un tanto confusa, porque el proyecto se llamó T29, cuando se presentó en noviembre del 49 se le llamó T2 pero ahora casi siempre se le llama T1 a las primeras series. 3. Mercedes-Benz L319 (1956) Recuerdo perfectamente esta furgoneta que cuando yo era adolescente ya era viaje, pues estuvo en producción hasta 1968… pero en estos tiempos a todos los vehículos se les hacía durar, pero a los industriales más y si eran caros y de importación, como era el caso, aún más. 4. Citroën H (1962) No, ¡listillos! No nos hemos equivocado. La Citroën H se fabricó en Francia entre 1947 y 1981… ¿entonces? ¿Por qué hemos puesto el año 1962? Porque entre 1962 y 1965 de fabricaron casi 500 unidades en Vigo, en España… ha sido una trampa para ver si estabais atentos. 5. Fiat 600 T (1962) La Fiat 600 T era una verdadera furgoneta, porque como furgón de pasajeros Fiat tenía el Multipla… un nombre de referencia en este canal, pero no, no me refiero hoy al “precioso” … bueno, digamos “polémico” Multipla de 1998, sino al de 1967 precursor del Siata. 6. SAVA J4 (1965) He elegido esta furgoneta porque se fabricó en España entre los años 1965 y 1985 pero era una licencia de Morris que ofrecía esta furgoneta bajo el nombre de Commercial J4 en el Reino Unido y algunos otros países de la Commanwealth. 7. Toyota Hiace H10 (1967) Quería poner una furgo japonesa y he pensado en esta Hiace de primera generación, que ha sido y sigue siendo en sus modelos más actuales, muy popular en México y otros países hispanoamericanos. 8. Škoda 1203 (1968) Tengo debilidad por las marcas checas y por eso os he traído esta furgoneta, completamente desconocida en España pero que la contribuyó significativamente al desarrollo de la extinta Checoslovaquia. Lo curioso es que se diseñó en 1956 pero no se empezó a producir hasta 1968 por la falta de todo tipo de materiales… algo típico los países del Este de Europa en esos tiempos. 9. EBRO Siata 50 S (1972) La Siata comenzó siendo fabricada por la empresa tarraconense Siata española, filial de la Siata italiana, sobre el bastidor de diversos modelos de Seat, al principio el 600 y luego el 850. Cuando está empresa quebró en 1972 Motor Ibérica se hizo cargo del a fabricación y la puso a la venta como EBRO Siata 50 S, que pronto se adaptó al bastidor de nuevo Seat 133 incluyendo, aparte del motor y bastidor, incluso el velocímetro y el volante. 10. Nissan Vanette (1978) En España, donde fue fabricada por Motor Ibérica en 1985, ha sido y es todo un referente. Era una furgoneta de tamaño medio, en el entorno de los 4,5 m. de largo, pero con unos acabados y una calidad de construcción poco frecuentes en España en este tipo de vehículos. En la publicidad de la época se hacía referencia a este origen diciendo algo así como “la furgoneta de los japoneses”. Conclusión. En este caso es muy, pero que muy sencilla: Con vuestra ayuda este vídeo necesita una segunda parte, ¿estáis de acuerdo? Furgoneta del día. Ya os he dicho que no hemos incluido las pequeñas furgonetas derivadas de turismo, ya desaparecidas, pero ¿por qué desaparecieron? La Berlingo tenía la difícil tarea de sustituir a la “eterna” C15, pero lo cierto es que, aunque convivieron, porque la C15 tenía y tiene auténticos adeptos, la Berlingo era mejor en todo.

The final episode of Season 3 of The Becoming Podcast is a conversation with Jen Berlingo, midlife midwife extraordinaire. Jen is a coach, licensed professional counselor, a nationally registered art therapist, a master-level Reiki practitioner, an author, an artist and a witch.  She speaks, writes and teaches about midlife emergence, including her own world-rocking experience of upending her entire life as she entered her forties. It's obvious why I had to have her on the show, right?
