In this episode of The ManKind Podcast, host Boysen Hodgson sits down with Brandon Clift to unpack five profound lessons he learned from his experience on Australian Ninja Warrior—where he set the record for the fastest elimination in history.Brandon shares how his ego, overconfidence, and underestimation of the challenge ahead led to an unexpected (and humbling) failure. But more importantly, he reveals how this moment reshaped his approach to risk, preparation, and resilience in all areas of life.Key Lessons Discussed:Leave Your Ego at Home – The fine line between confidence and arrogance.Do Not Underestimate the Challenge – How overlooking the present moment led to a misstep.Respect the Course – Why preparation and humility matter in any pursuit.Surrender Expectations & Detach from Outcomes – Embracing the unknown and finding growth in unexpected results.Enjoy the Journey – Finding joy, even in failure, and learning to pivot when things don't go as planned.Through humor, reflection, and raw honesty, Brandon walks us through how these lessons continue to shape his personal and professional life. "Consistency is key in parenting." "Allow yourself room to fail." "Men are taught to just be fine." In this episode of the Young Dad Podcast, host Jey is joined by Jeremy and Zach to discuss the importance of consistency in parenting, the challenges of failure, and the stigma surrounding men's mental health. They emphasize the need for fathers to be present, embrace vulnerability, and learn from their mistakes. The conversation also touches on the significance of seeking help and the value of open communication in relationships. The episode concludes with practical advice for new dads on how to navigate the early stages of fatherhood with grace and understanding. Takeaways Consistency is crucial for effective parenting. It's important to allow yourself room to fail. Men often feel pressured to suppress their emotions. Being present with your children creates lasting memories. Vulnerability can foster deeper connections with others. Failure is a part of the learning process. Men's mental health struggles are often stigmatized. Open communication is essential for emotional well-being. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Parenting is a journey that requires patience and self-compassion. God does not want you to see yourself as a failure. Instead, He wants you to learn from the failures you go through. Sometimes, the only lesson you will learn is, “Don't do that again.” In today's key passage, there are three basic lessons that you will learn from failure. We discussed the first two last week, so we're going to add the third this week. I pray you will learn from these failures in your own life and that you will find encouragement and comfort even when you fall short.

I want to hear from you. I want this podcast to be a two-way street, a conversation between friends. So, I'm inviting you to share your own motherhood moments with me. Whether it's a funny anecdote, a proud mom moment, or a struggle you're facing, I want to hear it all.And hey, if you're feeling generous, I've got a little giveaway going on. Did you know that failure can alter your perception of achieving your goals? When setbacks occur, it's natural for your objectives to seem more distant and difficult to attain, even though they are still within reach. The way we perceive and respond to failure can determine whether it becomes a stepping stone toward success or a barrier that halts our progress toward our dreams. Each failure presents an opportunity for learning and personal growth, even if it brings discomfort or disappointment. In this episode, we delve into the reasons why individuals often fall short of their goals, underscore the significance of failure, and explore strategies for leveraging setbacks to propel us forward. Rather than shying away from failure, we must embrace it and integrate it into our recipe for success.

Do you consider failure as a sign of defeat? Maybe if you give up after a few tries, but not if you choose to move forward. Nobody wants to fail, but you need it for your growth. Failure allows you to build wisdom, character, and resilience. There is no single path to success; as long as you learn from your failures and keep trying, you will eventually achieve your goal. LEARNING FROM FAILURE: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM FAILURE? Failing sucks, right? Especially when it's public and other people know about it. Whether it's missing the shot to lose the game, failing the test, getting busted for cheating, most of us try to avoid failure at all costs. A lot of times, our parents protect us from failing. They don't want us to feel bad or to miss out. But here's the deal: if we don't fail, we'll miss out on learning significant truths about life. We won't learn about persistence. We won't be able to discern what's actually most important. We won't be able to learn that our true worth comes from within, not from our reputation. We won't learn that we can handle hard things, and we will be predisposed to avoid taking risks. Once you learn to appreciate failure, the next time we're freer to take the next shot, to bounce back from the D- and go to office hours, and own our mistakes to do better. At eighteen Lachie Smart created aviation history by becoming the youngest person to fly solo around the world in a single engine aircraft. The journey took nearly two and a half years to plan, fifty-four days to fly and almost cost the teenager his life multiple times. Now at the ripe old age of twenty-three, this impressive young man and I chatted broadly about the principles, habits, ideals, behaviours, skills and attributes required for success (no matter the goal). Oh, and of course, the trip. When I grow up, I want to be like Lachie.
This week we're thinking about: When Things Fall Apart, lessons from failure. The title of today's episode might be… triggering for some people. In recent years it has felt like we're all so busy re-framing things to make everything an opportunity, a lesson, a challenge, or a growth experience. I don't disagree that some events can be all of those things, but I think we can learn so much from accepting and acknowledging failure when we've set a goal and fallen short. With acceptance, we can step back and really see what led us down certain paths, and how we can make real changes to achieve our goals in the future.Today's episode is part two of a two episode series with my friend Mike Shoreman, and this is NOT the episode I thought we would be recording this week.If you missed the last episode, then let me introduce you to my friend Mike Shoreman, also known as The Unbalanced Paddleboarder. Last week Mike was on the podcast talking about his plans to attempt to become the first person with a disability to stand up paddleboard across Lake Ontario. I was right by his side for four days on the water as he attempted to break this record, and I was there when he made the decision to come off the water and try again next year. In many ways, this was a great success. Mike put the youth mental health charity Jack.org on the map and raised more than $50,000. He'll continue to fundraise this year, and we expect he'll raise more than $100,000 before this is all over. We could just re-frame this as a win, because in many ways it is. However, Mike is going back out there next year, and the lessons he learned from not accomplishing his goal are directly transferable to entrepreneurship. Mike Shoreman is a former Paddle Canada Coach, trainer, and expert in the stand up paddleboarding industry. In November 2018 after years of coaching professionally, Mike developed a sudden neurological condition causing him to lose his sense of balance, and experience extreme reactions to movement. Among other severe limitations, doctors told him he would never paddle again. Mike quickly proved them wrong as he re-learned how to walk, and within two years he was back on his paddleboard, unbalanced, but standing and pushing himself to achieve his goals. Mike is the author of Crash and Rise, an autobiographical book about his life and experiences, he's a renowned motivational speaker, the two-time winner of the International SUP Man Of The Year Award, and he's on the cusp of being a world record holder for The Crossing he's due to complete on August 24th 2022.Please donate today at http://jack.org/thecrossingLearn more about Mike and his mission: http://mikeshoreman.com/https://twitter.com/mikeshoremanhttps://www.instagram.com/theunbalancedpaddleboarder/https://www.facebook.com/theunbalancedpaddleboarderFollow Alexis on Instagramhttp://instagram.com/alexis.dovetailhttp://instagram.com/dovetailcommunityTo learn more about the podcast or follow us on social, visit https://thinkaboutthis.carrd.co/

Machine Method Phase: POST-MORTEM When you invent an innovative new technology in the hottest space, it's easy to get carried away with the possibilities when you should be focusing on your beachhead. That's what happened to Dmitry and Rob when Dmitry invented a device capable of capturing 360 video and streaming it live across the world. The camera was lighter, cheaper and more compact than any of the solutions on the market raking in big VC money. The idea came from Dmitry watching racing and wanting to experience the race from inside the car, but knowing multiple GoPro rigs were too heavy and bulky in a sport where every gram counts. Rob, at the time, was looking for an opportunity in the VR space, and knew immediately that this was it. Dubbing the company Ultracast, they sent units all around the world that allowed people to travel to all of these locations in real time with just their phone. But it was too much, too quickly, and they learned the hard way that they should have cornered the racing market and only then expanded to other experiences. Learn more about this episode.

On this episode of Got Your 6, Tony Nash talks with Mike Erwin, the founder and executive director of https://www.teamrwb.org/ (Team Red, White, and Blue (Team RWB)), a non-profit that connects veterans to the local communities through sports. Mike talks about how he stays fit physically and mentally and shares some actionable advice on how he manages his time, improves himself, and navigates his time and schedule to achieve maximum results. Mental and Physical Fitness Mike's time in the Army continues to impact his life – from as simple as his affinity for the Jacob's ladder (which began during a 2009 Afghanistan deployment) to subscribing to a solid routine and working out in the morning. While he is not as physically active as he was during the Army, he says he's now back at it “with a vengeance.” The two books that have made an impact on his life and that he keeps on re-reading are: 100 Ways to Motive Yourself (2012) by Steve Chandler helps a person create an action plan for living his vision in business and in life. The Alchemist (1993) by Paolo Coelho, a fiction that tells the story of a shepherd boy Santiago, who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure as extravagant as any ever found. Citing the lessons from The Alchemist, Mike is a big believer that everything happens for a reason and that failures pave the road to success. “It can be dangerous when we tell that to other people: ‘Ah, everything happens for a reason, don't worry about it.' But the reality is, if you take that approach and that view into life, that the setbacks and the adversity and the mistakes that you made – while it feels like in the moment you're like ‘Ugh that was terrible, what a big mistake!' – if you can learn to see that for what it is… A setback is a setup for a comeback.” On Failures as Temporary Setbacks Mike is also the co-founder & president of https://posproject.org/ (The Positivity Project), a non-profit group that aims to empower the youth to build positive relationships. But it took several hiccups along the way before the organization became what it is today. Mike and his partner committed a big mistake when they used philanthropy as the organization's business model. They later realized it was not feasible for their business, which focuses on character education because schools already have a budget for that. So they tweaked their model – from seeking grants to building a business that would make schools want to pay them for training, curriculum, and resources, among others. That huge mistake proved to be their key to success to have a sustainable business. Urgent vs Important and the Importance of Tracking Time In 2014, Mike learned to view things using the Eisenhower Box, which helps a person decide on and prioritize tasks by urgency and importance. It helps users sort out less urgent and important tasks which could be either delegated or ignored. Another thing that has transformed his life is tracking his time. He tracks if he has spent too long on emails, if he has not exercised much in a week, or has done things for leisure, such as golf. Mike said this becomes very important in making sure you have as much time as possible to spend on important but not urgent things, such as relationships planning, eating, health, and exercising. These activities are usually those that get ignored easily. He says he applies this in menial tasks such as getting rid of cables in the house and deleting useless apps from his phone – things that take his time mindlessly. A 32-hectare farm owner, Mike says he makes most of his business decisions while working on the property. On Constant Improvement and His Personal Relationship with Technology Mike likens constant self-improvement to tango – 2 steps forward, one step back – as growth is not linear. He also believes growth comes at a gradual pace. As he counts time, Mike says he has improved his relationship with technology and the digital world,...

There are three big goals that haven't worked out for me. I let obstacles get in my way. And in a way, that's failing. I'm going to walk you through some of the lessons I've learned, plus uncork one of the most delicious bottles of wine from my absolute favorite winery, and I want to hear from you. What's one of your unexpected failures, and what's something you haven't succeeded at....yet?My background in modeling really trained me to be comfortable in front of crowds. I love public speaking and being in front of a camera. When I was around 11, I joined IMTA which is an organization that trains you so that you can go to New York City and compete. I did runways, sitcoms, and monologues. I love, love, love runway, but I'm too short. And who knows, but maybe that's why they cut me from their program in the funniest, non-confrontational way ever.In 2019, I was at a workshop where the speaker said that if you want to accomplish something, you need to put it on the calendar. For example, if you want to get into shape, you should sign up for a 5K. For me, I love Disney. So signing up for a marathon to run in costume through Disney is a no-brainer. I can get in shape while also doing something fun in one of my favorite places in the world. So I signed up and started training. Everything was going great until….I pulled my groin. Should I quit? No way! That just means I need to adjust my goals, not quit them entirely.Have you ever heard the phrase, “You just have to ask for something you want”? Is it for real? I decided that with all of the travelings that I do that I absolutely wanted to fly first-class more often. So I decided to ask for it, and well, it was not the resounding success that I was promised.I want to hear from you. Share your story with me on Instagram:What new thing did you try? How'd that work out for you? What did you learn from your failure? What's Inside:How my modeling background has helped me get comfortable in front of a camera.I'll talk about goals that are crushed versus goals that are delayed, and how you can adjust your plans around them.Is it really true that you only have to ask for the thing that you want? Let's explore that.Mentioned in this Episode:@CrystaluncorkedCrystalUncorked.com/contactAustin Hope Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Zach discusses what we can learn from failure and how we can use it to positively impact our future.
Among other things, this is an episode about my numerous failures and f*ck-ups and how those things became lessons, opportunities, growth experiences, resilience builders and motivation to do better. It's also a broader conversation about the ‘psychology of failure'. That is, the way we think about it, talk about it, process it, understand it and sometimes, turn simple ‘outcomes' into catastrophic failures.

Though the primary focus of Mark 14:26-31 is on Christ's prediction of the disciples' scattering when the Shepherd is struck, we want to learn a few lessons about Peter's predicted failure. This account has been included in the Word of God not to shame Peter, but to help us. Let this predicted failure serve you in your walk with the Lord. 3 Lessons to be learned:1. Faith Will Be Tested2. A Promise Not Realized3. Spiritual Pride Not Checked

In this episode, Stephen Fraser speaks on lessons of failure & experience: listening to the advice of others, prioritizing the critical vs the worthy, time management, and proper business etiquette!
I’ve never been super athletic, I mean, I was the art geek after all. Don’t get me wrong, I really like sports, I’m just not naturally gifted at any particular sport like other people I’ve known. I remember one time when I was going to a private Christian school in 7th grade and they were desperate for players on the basketball team so I was volunteered to play.I cannot play basketball…you should know that at the outset.I’ll be honest, it felt pretty cool to wear the team uniform as my mom dropped me off at the rival school’s gymnasium. For the briefest of moments I forgot that I knew nothing about playing basketball apart from shooting a game of horse with kids in the neighborhood. My school team was so beggared for players, they recruited a kid whom they had never seen play and who had never once practiced with them.During the warm-up our team formed two lines on either side of the free throw lane to do simple lay-ups. One line would start, the player charging at the basket and deftly launching off the floor to lay the ball gently to the backboard and into the net. The next line would take the ball from the opposite side. Done properly it is a smooth and almost graceful approach to taking a shot. When my turn came, I noticed that the rival school’s cheerleaders had gathered behind the backboard of our goal. My 7th grade brain imagined them all noticing how adroitly I would handle the ball. I imagined them all turning their heads my way in slow motion and admiring my basketballish skills. This made my hands start to sweat. The ball was tossed to me and I awkwardly tried to dribble on my way to the goal. As I reached the point of no return, where I needed to lift off my left foot and raise the ball with my right hand, the ball came squirting out of my sweat-soaked palms and flew full force right at the heads of the flock of cheerleaders. There were screams and one girl was bent over while others were patting her back. They were all looking at me, but admiration is not how I’d describe their expressions. That’s kind of how I imagine Jesus’ disciples feeling in the text we’ll be reading this Sunday, Mark 9:14-29.It’s clear from this text that as Christ’s followers, we don’t always represent him well. Sometimes things go badly and we fall flat – but that’s okay. As we’ll see in our passage, there are lessons to be learned in failure. As you read the story, put yourself into each of the character’s sandals. What do you imagine the religious experts are thinking? What do you think the crowd of people were thinking about the disciples ineffectual ministry? What conclusions might they be drawing about Jesus? When Jesus gets the scoop on what’s happening, the father of the afflicted boy asks Jesus to help if he is able. Jesus teases a rebuke back at him. What do you think Jesus is wanting to correct in that exchange? What might it mean that “anything is possible if a person believes”? What does “believe” mean to you? When we look at the end result, Jesus was not hampered nor deterred in any way by the failure of his disciples. What can we learn from that as it touches our own walk with Christ? How do you imagine prayer being an effective aspect of spiritual battles? What do you understand prayer to be?This will be some interesting stuff to analyze this Sunday – hope to see you there!Click here to view of a pdf version of the PowerPoint slides from this teaching.

A recap of episode 82 of the Cracking Creativity podcast. If you liked it, check out the full episode with Erik Kruger where he talks about the lessons we can learn from failure, why you should let your principles guide you, and the importance of creating value for your audience.
We all feel down once in awhile - they key is to find out how to deal with it and better yet - learn from it. I've been doing this more and more and there are a variety of things that I find are working for me. But there is still a lot to learn about staying up rather than being down in the dumps. Find me on FB at: https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/ on Twitter: @coachtosuccess
Erik Kruger is like many of us who became entranced by the idea of lifestyle design. He read Tim Ferriss's Four Hour Workweek and felt the desire to work as few hours as possible so he could "run around and do other things" with all his extra free time. So he tried to build businesses that let him live that lifestyle. His first attempt was a local freelance network, which fizzled out. He also tried to create web directories for physical therapists, gyms, and models, but those never gained traction either. He describes all of these unsuccessful projects as his "graveyard of domains" because of all the sites he tried and failed to build. These failures taught him a valuable lesson. When he started out, his main goal was trying to make a lot of money while working as few hours as possible. But over time, he discovered he was focusing on the wrong thing. Luckily for Erik, our failures often lead to our greatest success. His success came in the form of Better Man, a site dedicated to helping men change their behaviors to become more productive, habit driven, and successful. This project has grown into a thriving community of like-minded men driven to make the most out of life. In this episode Erik talks about the lessons we can learn from failure, why you should let your principles guide you, and the importance of creating value for your audience. Here are three things you can learn from Erik: Failures Can Teach Us Valuable Lessons We are all afraid of failure. No matter what level you've reached, how much money you've made, or how much success you've achieved, there's still something in the back of our minds that's deathly afraid of failure. It's a part of human nature. The difference between those who continue to find success and those who give up is that successful people learn from their failures. Erik failed many times before hitting on Better Man, but these failures taught him valuable skills. "When I look back, it's really embarrassing to talk about them, but they taught me incredibly valuable skills, to the point where Better Man is what it is because of the digital skills that I built up during all these horrendous sites." Your moments of failure might seem frustrating in the moment, but they can also teach you valuable lessons. "It's always nice to look back and know that you've gone through all these things and at the time you might be frustrated and looking back you might think of them as failures, but they actually taught you so much." The biggest lesson Erik learned was changing his mindset. When he started, he was enamored with lifestyle design and let that dictate his decisions. But once he shifted his effort towards something he was passionate about everything changed. "Probably the biggest mistake that I made, and I don't want to say I regret it, but I wish my mindset was a bit different, is that, during that same time lifestyle design became this buzz word and everyone was flocking to this idea of building a business while working extremely few hours a week and being able to just run around and do other things the rest of the time and I got really hooked by that idea, and I wish I didn't. I wish I'd just stuck to working hard and not fell into the trap of wanting to put in as few hours as I can, but trying to get maximum results from it... A big deal with what I teach is that you want to put in as little effort as possible for maximum return but it doesn't mean you're not still working ten hours. It just means those ten hours are more focused and working on the correct things and not just things that are keeping you busy." Let Your Principles Guide You Often times our biggest challenge isn't that we don't know what to do. It's that we forget what we stand for. We stop letting our principles guide us in the right direction. We follow those shiny objects hoping that this new tool or technique will help us break through. But shortcuts rarely work. What we need are some principles to guide us. Better Man's guiding principle is to take responsibility for your life. "I think what we all just want is that magic wand... that's just going to figure out everything for us, but you have to go back and actually start taking responsibility for your life, and once you start doing that, then... things start falling into place because you start designing your life around the responsibility that you take. So, I guess if I had to say the number one value... of Better Man, it would be to take responsibility for your life. And to not just sit back and wait for life to happen to you, but to go out and to say 'This is what I want in life and I'm going to make it happen. It's going to be up to me.'" Being productive, building habits, and changing your behaviors are wonderful tools for becoming better people, but those changes are possible if you don't take responsibility for yourself and your actions. "The rest of the things that we speak about, productivity, world power, habits, behavior change, none of that is possible without you saying 'I'm showing up today. I'm getting out of bed and I'm going to kick some ass.' So I would guess that would be number one for me, the number one principle." People are always trying to jump ahead in the process, but the only way to build something sustainable is by doing it step by step. "People want to shortcut the process. The effort that it takes to get there. The grind, and the hustle, and the pain, and the days and weeks of feeling like you're not getting anywhere... you want to shortcut it, and I completely get it, but ultimately there's only one way to really get anywhere. And that's brick by brick, step by step. That's the only way you can build something significantly." Create Value for Your Audience We are constantly bombarded with lists telling us what to do. "Here are five hacks for this" or "Ten ways to do that" but these lists are rarely helpful. They rehash the same tired information. Erik believes these lists are extremely unhelpful. There's nothing tangible you can actually implement from them. "One of the things that quite irritates me the most is the five life hacks that will make you successful... and then you go and read these articles and it's the same stuff that's been rehashed over and over and over, and they give you this one thing and they give you one supplemental thing to fill it up, and it just means nothing. There's nothing you can grab onto and that you're going to implement in your life and it's going to take you further." There's so much information out there that it becomes hard to distinguish what's useful and what's not. That's why Erik likes to distill his ideas for his audience. He knows they're busy. He knows they wants something that works. So he does all the heavy lifting for them. "I think that's one of the big problems we have at the moment is that there's so much out there in the world. You literally have millions of sites at your fingertips, and if you're just getting started in self-development, it can be so overwhelming to go and search and sift through all these blogs and to find good quality content. And then you think you've found something, and the next thing you read completely contradicts it. So, what do you believe? And what I'm trying to do is say to people 'I've already put in the effort and the time to make sure this is good information that I'm giving to you, and I've put my filter over it. My Better Man filter over it... and this is what I've come up with." Another thing Erik realized is we aren't going to be the right fit for everyone. We need to concentrate our efforts on people who will get the most out of what we have to say. "At some point you just have to realize that no matter what you create, it's never going to be for everyone. And the quicker you can get to that point, the quicker you can start serving the people that you will do an excellent job of serving." So stop trying to create for everyone. Stop worrying about your unsubscribes. And focus on your loyal audience instead. "I think what happened for me is I just realized there's so many other things I need to focus on instead of my unsubscribes. I need to focus on people who remained and who said I want more of what you have. Like, why not put your energy and effort into those people?" Read more shownotes from episode 82 with Erik Kruger

As we continue in our study of the Gospel of Luke, we take a look at the story of Zechariah. Zechariah was a man given a great opportunity - he was to be the father of John the Baptist! But, when Gabriel delivered that news, Zechariah responded with disbelief. He failed. Have you ever failed? Have you learned something from it? Have you become better for it? Zechariah did. Listen as Teaching Pastor Chad Sparks covers Luke 1.

David Rohlander, author of The CEO Code: Create a Great Company and Inspire People to Greatness With Practical Advice from an Experienced Executive, on James Lowe's syndicated radio show talking about failure and how important it can be to become successful. Thomas Edison tried 25,000 ways to make a battery and they all failed, when asked about this failure he said, "I didn't fail, I now know 25,000 ways how "not to make a battery." Rohlander says some of the best lessons can be learned from falling down in failure. Filled with successful stories of mentoring executives and corporate personnel, the book offers a wealth of practical advice for professional and personal success. Broken down into three sections, Communication, Execution and Operation, The CEO Code contains a series of questions at the end of each chapter in Take Time to Reflect pages that consist of seven questions. Each of the three sections, or Parts, consists of five chapters. Part 1, Communication, is broken down into the following chapters: Trust, Respect, Understanding, Empathy and Resolutions. Chapters for Part II, Execution are Action, Repetition, Habits, Attitudes and Feelings while Part III, Operation, gets into deeper waters with Teams, Delegation, Systems, Accountability, and Rewards. At the outset of Execution, Rohlander states that the "Cycle of Success is a core concept within The CEO Code" as it "explores proven and practical formula for setting goals and how to structure them so they positive and enabling." Rohlander sets the tone in terms of leadership in Part III, Operation, by likening a well-functioning company to an orchestra. First you need "quality music, then each participant must be in the same place on the score; each player of an instrument must be able and willing to play his or her part. You are the conductor of the orchestra." David G. Rohlander is a professional speaker, mentor and executive coach. His passion is working with executives to build their own masterpiece personally and professionally. Flying 208 combat missions as a USAF fighter pilot gave him an appreciation for living with gusto. Then he earned an MBA in finance from California State University and spent nearly a decade with Merrill Lynch. Next he became an entrepreneur, built three companies and developed commercial and residential real estate. Along the way he taught at several universities. Rohlander has coached partners for Ernst & Young, trained sales teams with Honeywell, and mentored hundreds of CEOs and executives in a wide range of industries. In addition to earning his MBA in finance, Rohlander studied management with Peter Drucker at Claremont Graduate University.

Senior Pastor Byron Beck talks about how we should view failure in our lives. We should plan on failing at times, but the most important thing we must do is use the failures to learn from and correct. Also important to the Christian walk is to not allow fear of failure to grip us. We must be willing to step out in faith and conquer our fears of failure.
