Rob Woodhouse is steeped in the Olympics and Paralympics. he won a medal for Australia in the IM in the pool in Los Angeles in 1984. Since then, he's become an accomplished pundit for ABC Radio and RB as a regular at the Games. He's also represented some of Britain's great Olympians and Paralympians as their agent. Episode 100 is here and we can’t believe it! We have interviewed a ton of people over the last few years and while doing so, we have discussed with them how their pasts have shaped who they are today. The background stories are one of our favorite parts of each episode because you can really learn a lot about someone when you understand where they came from and what they have overcome to get to where they are today. So, for this monumental episode, we have decided to flip the script and share our story with you all. Each of us goes back to our roots and discusses our past and how we got to the moment in our life where we crossed paths in our junior year of high school. Our upbringings could not be more opposite as you will hear throughout the episode, but somehow, someway, we found each other and formed an unlikely friendship and brotherhood.   This story was not easy to tell, as we both share some of our most vulnerable moments, insecurities, and struggles, but we wanted to be real with you, so you understand who we are and what we have overcome in our lives. So, we go deep in this one, but we also have many laughs and discuss some of our favorite moments growing up and all the crazy fun times we had together. They say opposites attract and we could not be a better yin and yang example of that. Since we call each other brothers and we don’t look alike, we get asked all the time how that happened and that is hard to tell in a short conversation, so this is the whole narrative. Jen found a stand-up show she did at the Brooklyn Bellhouse in 2014 that was recorded off of the audio board - this was a two hour show of working out new material and just chatting with the audience. Something to note - Joan Rivers was on life support and Jen had heard that night that she was going to be let go the next morning, she had just turned 40 the week before in Sweden, and had just finished a long-running job at Chelsea Lately to bust out into a life of touring. There was a LOT of energy that night - and feeling free as a bird to say whatever and be grateful to be alive, and about to head into a new adventure. That means - don’t overanalyze this ONE MOMENT IN TIME from September 2014. It was Jen and that person is now no longer Jen. Happy Holidays!

The Black Tulip writer, producer, director and star Sonia Nassery Cole, along with her dear friend Natalie Cole, who contributed two songs to the film, join host Robin Milling. Ironically there is no relation between them, but their 18 year friendship and what they have been through together has made them close enough to consider themselves 'sisters of different mothers.' Sonia tells Robin after 9/11 she was inspired to write about a family who open a restaurant/poet's retreat to commemorate their new found freedom from under the Taliban's rule. While shooting the film she feared for her life 24/7, bravely entering into a war torn Afghanistan in 2001; bombs went off right near her hotel and she was even kidnapped. She tells these stories and much more in her book, 'Will I Live Tomorrow? The Making of The Black Tulip.' Natalie calls in for a special follow-up chat. The multi-award winning artist who contributed the songs One Moment In Time and Freedom Song to the film's soundtracks says the basic freedoms of music and art were not lost on her when she visited Kabul with Sonia and entertained the troops. Natalie is also on the Board of Directors for The Afghanistan World Foundation founded by Nassery Cole which provides money to build hospitals amongst many other things and much needed aid to Afghan refugees. Following up after the recent One Moment In Time story arc, Mark Waid and Paul Azaceta return as the creative team behind Amazing Spider-Man #642, the first issue of the next story arc called Origin of the Species. This past year we've seen Spider-Man's classic rogues in some shape or form, be it returning of old characters or christening new holders of the various villain titles. Now that Menace is about to have Osborn's baby, every Spider-Man rogue is out to get their hands on that baby, and make it a very stressful day for our hero in red and blue. We talk to Mark Waid about writing so many villains and why it's so much fun to write Spider-Man.
