Chainsaw Friyay is upon us and even though it was a short four day week for most of us, the glorious weekend could not come fast enough. I mean, it will be warm out and though maybe not warm enough to go to say, a water park, there's still potential to enjoy some sun. This, of course, brings us straight into the Daily Discussion Topic which was incredibly heated (get it?) Should women be allowed to go topless at a waterpark? A poll on Reddit considered titty time and how it should exist in regards to water parks and beaches. After all, men are allowed to go shirtless and women usually wear bikinis that essentially leave nothing to the imagination so why not? The hot debate obviously is that it is inappropriate for kids but who decided that was the case? Of 3000 people who were polled for the post, 75% said that it was okay. Marris agrees with the poll, as do Angi and myself and he pointed out that it is us who hypersexualize everything and therefore create the concept of it being wrong. It's fine in Europe, it's okay in Mexico and Angi indulges in that by going topless on the beaches in both of those places. More so, it's weird if you don't do it there so on the flip of the spectrum, the judgement there is for the need to cover up. While neither Angi or Marris understand the taboo, it does really come down to perception and requirement, which could and should be optional. As I stated prior, most of what is being worn barely covers up everything as is so why not just free the nipple? With this all established, we took to the Request Line to get some roadie thoughts though there was a serious lack of women which made our scientific part of the spectrum feel flawed. Dan said women should be able to do what they want because men can wear shirts or not, why shouldn't they. It's only immoral because we deem it as such but who are we to decide what is and isn't right in the context of a body. (1 Yes) Allison said as long as the establishment is over 18. She has 4 kids and she wants to protect them and not expose them to breasts. Her personal stance is she'd feel gross and feels exposure to children needs to be controlled as breasts are already sexualized as part of our culture. (1 Yes, 1 No) Big Mike said if you're going to ban going topless, might as well ban porn. Angi rightfully added that they're not showing porn at the water park. (2 Yes, 1 No) Brian said no but the issue lies in the immaturity of the U.S. It comes down to being the fault of those with no self control or ability to control their impulses. Europe overall just feels more mature in these regards and so it works there and not here. (2 Yes, 2 No) Head Roadie Bob made a great point that after 6 months, no one would care just like when weed was legalized. Maybe if we did 1 boob at a time to test the waters. (3 Yes, 2 No) Giovanni agreed that if you are brave enough to whip them out, you should be brave enough to face the stares because you will get them. Not everyone will have perfect breasts and you also have to consider mothers, grandmothers. Exposure has a numbing effect which harkens back to Bob's point but more so, some guys on the beach have bigger tits than girls so the point feels moot. (4 Yes, 2 No) If you are looking for more roadie thoughts or have your own, hit up our Facebook group (Angi Taylor Show) and drop us a comment.

Believers today must hold to the unity of their faith in Jesus Christ and His Word, especially in a world plagued with divisiveness and strife. Drawing from the Word of God through the story of Israel crossing the Jordan River, we learn to trust in God's authority and provision that leads to the Promised Land. By focusing on Christ, we can remain steadfast on the mission God has set before us, and we can be inspired by the Holy Spirit to experience miracles throughout our own journey. So let us unite as brothers and sisters in Christ under one mission: unity through Christ, for Christ as we "Go Into The Land."

As a kid, I remember being scared to go down this set of 3 tall, dark tunnel slides at the local water park (Raging Waters) called The Bermuda Triangle. But I kept watching all of these other kids going down it and laughing and smiling and enjoying it! Eventually, I climbed the stairs, took a breath and went for it. And I was so glad that I had found that courage. That motivation. I'm sure you've had similar experiences, but have you ever taken the time to consider how this might apply to your relationship with your child? When I became a parent, I read a lot of books and listened to a lot of people. One thing that struck me was that a child could be “taught” manners by not being forced to say please and thank you, but to just hear and see manners modeled genuinely and often. Good news! This applies to motivating kids to learn (even those with learning disabilities and learning challenges). If you want your child to read, grab a book and find a cozy place on the couch and dig in! If you want your child to do math, model all of your mathematical thinking out loud. If you want your child to write, write a letter to your cousin who you haven't seen in 3 years. If you want your child to love learning, work on learning something new (and be sure your kid sees how terrible you are at it right now, and how you aren't giving up!). Watching others engage in an activity can be very motivating. Especially, if it is not tied to: “I'm reading, you should read too!” If it feels coercive, it will not be effective. And, it might take a lot of modeling, so enjoy the reading, writing, math, and learning activities for their own sake. Know that your child is benefiting from it, and let the struggles and expectations go.
Another Tread Perilously Grab Bag month begins with an episode of Baywatch called "Muddy Waters." The Ballad of John D. Cort continues as Cort must make back a favor to Mitch by teaching the new class of lifeguards at Raging Waters in San Dimas, CA. But Cort, being Cort, pulls Eddie into the job, who in turn attracts the eye of a trainee and the ire of another. Mitch, meanwhile, plans for Hobie's class to visit Baywatch and Captain Thorpe seeks to fire Shauni after a photo of her at a guard tower ends up in a swimsuit calendar. Geography Corner starts early as Erik and Justin discuss Raging Waters in San Dimas, CA. They also take a break to discuss Ms. Marvel. Justin is still surprised Baywatch had a writers room. The pair also end up discussing the Scott Bakula classic, Color of Night, and the films of Clive Barker. The career of Monte Markham gets examined. Eddie once again ends up looking like the worst. Erik argues for Erika Eleniak 's talent as a TV actor. Captain Thorpe's descent into madness continues. Justin finally faces a full Mitch Buchannon storyline and theorizes how the presence of Cort would change Predator.
With schools out and parents looking for things for their kids to do, the Morning Show with Nikki Medoro said she paid full price and then some to take her family to a half-open Raging Waters, with closed attractions due to not enough staff. Also, a bipartisan group of lawmakers has agreed up on new gun legislation, moving in the right direction to offset gun violence. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Initially, Jesus's brothers doubted Jesus. His own brothers mocked Jesus and told him that he should go to the festival of shelters and perform some miracles so he could be famous. Jesus told his brothers that he wasn't going, so they went to the festival without Jesus. Later, when the time was right, Jesus went secretly to the festival. At the festival, Jesus went to the temple and started teaching. Jesus met with much opposition at the festival. Even those who believed in him were afraid to openly confess their faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus didn't go to the festival so he could be famous. Jesus went to the festival to set people free. Among the more challenging aspects of reopening society as it gets a better handle on the coronavirus pandemic have been dealing with events and attractions that feature large crowds of people packed in close quarters, like theme parks. A number of our local attractions, including Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios Hollywood, LEGOLAND California Resort and others reopened last month, and others like Raging Waters in Los Angeles are set to finally reopen their gates to visitors in the coming days. Today on AirTalk, we’ll hear from representatives with local theme parks and attractions about how the reopening process has been going and we’ll take calls from listeners who have visited a theme park or work at one to hear about their experience. Join the conversation by calling us at 866-893-5722. Guests: Mike Roe, reporter covering arts, entertainment and theme park attractions for LAist; he tweets @MikeRoe Al Garcia, director of marketing and sales for Raging Waters Los Angeles in San Dimas

Cort gets punished for a not-that-dangerous parasailing incident by being assigned to train new lifeguards at Raging Waters water park. He brings along Eddie to help and together they put lifeguard hopefuls through training that mostly consists of riding the fun water slides at the park. But it's not all fun and games because someone at the park is causing damage by smashing meters and loosening bolts on slides. The episode gives us two prime suspects: Tad, a wannabe lifeguard that doesn't make the cut and is also extremely jealous of Eddie, and Joe Maddon, a middle-aged man that comes to the park every day without going in the water and instead says strange things to Eddie and the others. Back at Baywatch headquarters, Shauni is suspended by Thorpe for appearing in the new Sports Week calendar in her Baywatch bathing suit, but she's positive she never gave anyone permission to use her photo. Don't worry lifeguard/lawyer Craig is on the case and ready to help her out. We also have Mitch getting disappointed by Hobie's school teacher Ms. Keller who recently canceled the school field trip to Baywatch. He's sure it's because everyone believes in a non-existent stereotype that lifeguards just sit around all day looking at girls and getting tan. If all this wasn't enough there's also an unbelievable chase throughout the water park that includes one of the most dangerous stunts ever on a very steep water slide. Plus, there's a final scene involving Mitch and Ms. Keller at a beachside restaurant that is very odd and completely unnecessary. This is a GREAT episode of Baywatch and we highly recommend you watch it!

#53 - Party on dudes! This week we discuss a most excellent time travel movie, "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure." This film launched Keanu Reeves, and we are still trying to get rid of him. Just kidding, we love the guy. Socrates, Billy The Kid, Abraham Lincoln, Genghis Kahn, and many more help Bill and Ted with their history report. George Carlin is awesome as always. We also mashup about our favorite mall movies. Napolean at Raging Waters...er.. Water Loo was also awesome. Be excellent to each other. Category: Movies
