It's been quite some time since I have covered an Uncharted game. I started a Naughty Dog series a long while ago and went through all the Uncharted games made by Naughty Dog and FINALLY I am rounding out my coverage of the game series with a wonderful discussion on Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a Vita title that helped shape more of the Vita than you know and featured a lot of new an unique mechanics because of it being on the Vita. I am joined by Bill Barber from the Gaming & Collecting Podcast and The 3DO Experience to discuss the only portable entry in the Uncharted series. Does the game hold up? Is it worth tracking down a Vita to play? Find out in this episode!

Was ist da wirklich dran? Viel Spaß mit dieser Episode! Welcome listeners to the return of the LGR PlayList. The nominated game this time is GRIM FANDANGO: REMASTERED and your mortally expired tour guides for this perilous voyage through the Land of the Dead are Mark, Lee and Andy. Born from the innovative mind of Double Fine’s Tim Schafer (THE SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND, DAY OF THE TENTACLE, BROKEN AGE) GRIM FANDANGO is a critically acclaimed ‘old school’ point and click adventure game from LucasArts in which the player converses with other characters and examines, collects, and uses objects correctly to solve puzzles in order to progress. Groundbreaking in its day, GRIM FANDANGO saw LucasArts use 3D computer graphics overlaid on pre-rendered static backgrounds for the first time. Our protagonist is ‘travel agent’ for the recently deceased Manual “Manny” Calavera and we take on his role in his quest to save Mercedes “Meche” Colomar, an innocent soul duped out of her deserved seat on the luxury express train the “Number Nine” which offers a much coveted direct-route to the Ninth Underworld. The 2015 remastered version of the game under discussion today retains all of the storytelling and comedic genius of the original but how does GRIM FANDANGO actually play for us after all these years since its original release in the late 1990s? Would we recommend it to experienced or lapsed gamers? Stay tuned to find out. This episode was created by the Lapsed Gamer Radio Team. Edited by Mark Hamer and Cevin Moore, with music and audio selections by Mark Hamer. Original LGR themes, FX and music cues created and composed by Cevin Moore. Other music and audio sampled in this episode is from the remastered original soundtrack from GRIM FANDANGO composed by Peter McConnell, ‘Drake’s Theme’ from UNCHARTED: GOLDEN ABYSS by Clint Bajakian and “Coffee in the Pot” by SUPERGRASS from their album Road to Rouen. Jay and Gary rise up from the unfortunate ashes of a deleted episode to re-record some conversation on Playstation Vita support, Kojima leaving Konami, and Kojima not leaving Konami. Game talk includes Life is Strange Episode 5, Until Dawn, Tales from the Borderlands, Tearaway, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Destiny: The Taken King. Our lovely hand-crafted round table selection for this episode includes the TV shows Danger 5 and House of Cards, the horror movie Student Bodies, and the mere concept of owning a Playstation Vita. The Hey Poor Podcast can be found and subscribed to on iTunes and Stitcher. This week on the show, Bally and Nbz return from holiday to talk about some handheld games that have been keeping them busy. Bally started and finished yet another ambassador game on his 3DS, Wario Land 4, whilst Nbz blasts through the final parts of Uncharted: Golden Abyss on Vita. After the break we return with a good handful of listener mail, before going into the final segment where we discuss the games of shame that we have never played before. There are some big classics that neither of us have played and we discuss why, and whether we intend to go back to them at some point. Remember to send all your correspondance to our E-mail address: nyppquestions@gmail.com
Balth, NeoSapian and TrialAccess discuss the week's news, the Gamersledge Review of Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the PS Vita, and ponder the question if you could turn a book you've read into a great game, what series would you choose and what type of game
The PS4 and the Xbox One are now out and while Sean waits for his Xbox to show up he and Jon discuss their new Sony consoles. Resogun and Contrast are the PS4 games discussed most. Sean has also been playing a lot of Black Flag and the Battlefield4 campaign. Jon plays through all of Halo 4, Nathan checks out Brothers and Uncharted: Golden Abyss and then the two of them get deep into Super Mario 3D World. Sony releases some teaser trailers for the next Uncharted game and the upcoming Last of Us DLC. We also get some info about the Vita TV, the new Phoenix Wright 5 DLC and rumors about Telltale Games' next game.
Welcome to show 199 This week The Daddy is playing Uncharted Golden Abyss on the PS Vita. Also he is getting in bank heist mode in GTA V and GTA Online. With all the talk about remote play on the Vita, Stu decides to try it out for himself while playing God of War 2, listen in to hear how he gets along with it. Duke didn't fill in what he played on the show notes so I can't remember what he played but it was properly Skyrim. Chinny has played some more Dishonored and GTA Online. However it was only a matter of time before he went back to Halo Wars. Chinny's news and shit features the delayed South Park game, why Playstation 4 isn't the future and someone put a computer chip in their own arm. Make sure you listen in for the latest, well kind of recent video game news right here on the best video game podcast ever (except for all the other gaming podcast that are better than us). Was mögt ihr, was nicht? Vergebt also bitte Sterne und schreibt ehrliche Reviews. Und empfehlt uns weiter! Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/play4magazin/
