Groß war die Aufregung am 7. Dezember. Eine neue App des Übertragungsnetzbetreibers Transnet BW sprang auf Rot und rief die Kunden zum Stromsparen auf. War die Versorgungssicherheit in Süddeutschland tatsächlich bedroht, stand ein Blackout im Raum, wie in einigen Überschriften und in Social Media-Accounts schnell behauptet wurde. Nein! Transnet BW wollte lediglich die Kunden dafür sensibilisieren, dass an dem Tag viel teurer Redispatch im Netz, also das Zuschalten von Kraftwerken, nötig war. Den eigenen Verbrauch zu verschieben, hätte für alle Netzentgelte gespart. Im Podcast erklären Christian Seelos und Karsten Wiedeman die Hintergründe und wie in Zukunft mit Sparaufrufen umgegangen werden kann. Für die Energiewirtschaft war es dabei ohnehin eine turbulente Woche. Eine Zeitung mit vier Buchstaben hatte am Wochenende behauptet, im kommenden Jahr sei es allen Versorgern verboten, die Tarife zu erhöhen. Stimmt allerdings nicht, doch die Versorger sehen sich nun mit Abzocker-Vorwürfen konfrontiert. Muntere Diskussion gab es auch beim energate-Webtalk zur Zukunft des Gasmarktes. Wie geht es dort mit Blick auf den Winter 2023/24 weiter? Bleibt der Staat Gaseinkäufer?

Die Daten der Einwohnermeldeämter dürfen aber aus Datenschutzgründen nicht automatisiert für statistische Zwecke – wie die Bevölkerungsverteilung – abgefragt werden. Die Hochschule Hof hat erstmals eine juristisch nachprüfbare automatisierte Abfrage entwickelt, die dieses Problem löst. Mit Dummydaten hat die Informatikerin Stephanie Kitzing im Projekt Aktmel eine Blaupause für viele andere kommunale Anwendungen erstellt, welche ein dreistufiges Anonymisierungsverfahren beinhaltet. Das Bayerische Innenministerium hat in Aussicht gestellt, dass diese Gesetzeslücke zeitnah angepasst werden soll, so dass auch echte Einwohnermeldedaten für statistische Zwecke genutzt werden können. Als vielleicht wichtigstes Beispiel gilt bis heute die Tagung „Aufgabe Zukunft – Qualität des Lebens“, die vom 12. bis 14. April 1972 stattfand. Mehr als 1.000 nationale und internationale Konferenzteilnehmer*innen kamen auf Einladung Otto Brenners und der IG Metall nach Oberhausen. Diese Konferenz, an der Otto Brenner selbst aus gesundheitlichen Gründen nicht mehr teilnehmen konnte, hatte einen visionären Charakter. Denn erstmals stand bei Fragen über gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen die Verbesserung von Lebensqualität im Zentrum der Diskussion. Aus heutiger Sicht stellen sich viele Fragen: - Hat sich die IG Metall 1972 durch „Oberhausen“ von Umverteilungsfragen abgewendet? - Was sagt die damalige Zukunftsaufgabe „Lebensqualität“ heute den Gewerkschaften? - Lohnt der Blick zurück – angesichts heutiger Herausforderungen zwischen Klima- und Corona-Krise sowie dem aktiven Krieg in Europa? Sie erzählt, wie es mit fünf Kollegen über ein Brainstorming zum Antrag für das Großprojekt „Die Grüne Technologiewerkstatt (GTW)“ mit zwanzig Einzelprojekten kam und warum EU-Gelder wie der Fonds für Europäische Regionalentwicklung (EFRE) dabei eine große Rolle spielten. Sie spricht über ihr Lieblingsprojekt – die App für den Wassermeister – und stellt dar, dass man einen traditionellen Brauprozess in einer Hofer Brauerei mit neuen Methoden auch heute noch optimieren kann. Gegen diese Lebensmittelverschwendung richtet sich das Projekt REIF, an dem Professor Beatrix Weber mit ihrer Forschungsgruppe an der Hochschule Hof gemeinsam mit rund 20 Partnern beteiligt ist. Das Ziel des Projektes ist, ein digitales Ökosystem aufzubauen, das mit Hilfe von Künstlicher Intelligenz mehr Bedarfserhebungen, Nachfrageprognosen und eine bessere Anlagensteuerung der Hersteller ermöglicht. Als Spezialistin für Data Governance und die Implementierung von rechtlichen Vorgaben in Prozesse will Beatrix Weber so zu einer Verminderung der „wahnsinnigen Lebensmittelverschwendung“ beitragen. REIF ist Teil von Gaia-X, einer ursprünglich deutsch-französischen Cloud-Initiative, die innerhalb der EU die Datensouveränität ihrer Bürger absichern und Vertrauen in die Datennutzung schaffen möchte. Neben ihrer forscherischen Tätigkeit ist die Juristin auch Mitglied der gemeinsamen Ethikkommission der Hochschulen Bayerns. Das Bauschild auf dem Campus der Hochschule Hof weist es aus: Hier entsteht seit 2020 das neue Institut für Wasser- und Energiemanagement (iwe). Der bayerische Staat investiert rund 25 Millionen Euro in das neue Gebäude, das selbst Forschungsobjekt ist. Oliver Stark, der als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter für den Bau verantwortlich zeichnet, spricht im Webtalk über Wärme- und Eisspeicher sowie Außenkollektoren, die dafür Sorge tragen, dass das Institut künftig möglichst energieautark sein wird. Nach Fertigstellung und Umzügen von verschiedenen Hofer und Münchberger Standorten werden alle Forscher:innen aus den Bereichen Wasser und Energie zentral im iwe untergebracht sein. So finden die Unternehmenspartner künftig alles unter einem Dach, denn sie sind es, für die die Einrichtung forschen wird. Also, the ways to keep yourself distracted from the thought of being sick.   Reading - reading anything can be a great help for you. It can be anything from a book to a kindle or even listening to a podcast, as long as you would be able to enjoy it. This can help you to distract yourself from the thought of being unwell, and it is pure self-help stuff. Family - spending quality time with family would prove to be an excellent option for you to do in the days of your sickness. It can function as a bonding time for you. Even you can try calling for a talk to the people you care about but couldn't have it for a while. Work-related stuff - you can even WORK ON the work-related stuff, as you want it. Which can keep you in shape and productive on your bad days as well. Home & lifestyle - you can utilize this time to focus on your home or living space. This can keep you busy and motivated. And most importantly stuffs like redecoration or cleaning your home will make you feel even better. And finally, Watching movies and shows - you can watch movies or shows you like or always wanted to watch but couldn't have the chance or time for that. Now, this is the perfect time for it. Im Gebäude mit seinen vielen Spezial-Maschinen kann an unterschiedlichsten Fragestellungen wie z.B. Feuchttücher, Wischtücher und Damenhygiene geforscht werden, aber auch an Gestängen für Satelliten, Spezialfiltern und hochfesten Geweben. Als Stiftungsprofessor im Bereich „Innovative Textilien“ hat Professor Dr. Claus-Ekkehard Koukal hier die Verantwortung für die Vliesstoffe.
