We're off to the deep dark woods for some fairytale carnage in “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters”. A film in which two former Bond girls knock the shit out of each other; Hawkeye learns not all witches are bad by accidentally sticking his willy in one; and Peter Stormare glowers to little effect. Tommy Wirkola's first English language film after the success of “Dead Snow” is a bit of a mixed bag; feeling at times like it's an adaptation from a comic book you haven't read. It's concept is great, what became of the titular siblings when they grew up, and adds into that action and a sort of steampunk tech melded to a fairy tale landscape. More an action adventure with horror tropes, but as a pure switch the brain off knock about it does the job well. Watch (or re-watch) to avoid spoilers and join us.

The Planets Series begins with our closest and most intimate neighbour: the moon. The moon represents the dreaming mind, our instinctive life and our guidance system to the emotional waves of our turbulent lives. Each of these elements of the moon is explored in this episode with the help of three mythic figures:Selene as a personification of the moon riding her white cow through the sky, visiting her lover Endymion (one who finds himself within) in his cave as he dreams the eternal dream.Artemis as the wild, instinctual life that stays true to her nature and close to her essence. and Hekate, the triple goddess, who has her home in the underworld. It's Hekate who arrives in our most desperate times of need to accompany us in the realm of grief and loss. The second half of the podcast begins with the image of Grimm's Hansel staring longingly back at his home as he's taken into the woods by his step-mother to be abandoned. He drops white stones on the ground that are then lit up by the moonlight to guide him back home. From there we visit Mnemosyne's cellular memory, the thread-weavers and the way Ithaka pulls at Odysseus.The Gorgons, including Medusa, will help us relate to the moments we feel unrelatable. Escalar un negocio en Amazon no siempre depende de vender más, sino de elegir correctamente cómo se van a entregar esos productos al cliente. En los últimos años, la logística se convirtió en uno de los factores más determinantes para la rentabilidad de un e-commerce, especialmente para vendedores que buscan crecer sin construir infraestructura propia. En este contexto, soluciones como Amazon Easy Ship están cambiando la forma en que los emprendedores operan dentro de la plataforma. Hansel Zapiain, con más de 16 años de experiencia en estrategia y logística y actual Head of External Fulfillment Growth en Amazon México, explica cómo este sistema permite escalar operaciones de forma más simple y eficiente. Easy Ship nace como una alternativa para vendedores que quieren aprovechar la red logística de Amazon sin enviar su inventario a los centros de fulfillment. El modelo es directo: el vendedor mantiene sus productos donde quiera, y cuando se genera una venta, se encarga de empaquetar y etiquetar el pedido, mientras Amazon gestiona la recolección y la entrega al cliente final. Según Hansel, "Easy Ship le permite a un vendedor aprovechar toda la cadena de suministro y toda la red logística de Amazon, sin necesidad de tener que enviar su inventario a ningún centro logístico". Hansel faces immense pressure from General Hap Arnold, the commander of the Army Air Forces, who is desperate to prove air power can be an independent, war-winning arm. Arnold, suffering from multiple heart attacks due to the stress of competing with the Army and Navy, views the war against Japan as a "blank canvas" for the Air Force. The film hit cinemas last summer and quickly became a surprise box office smash, earning a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Amy Madigan along the way. It tells the tale of a town in Pennsylvania who wake up one morning to find their children missing. Ring camera footage reveals that at precisely 2:17am, an entire class of kids – bar one child – got up and ran from their homes, running through the night towards an unknown destination, with their arms spread wide. The film grapples with the aftermath of that mysterious event, zooming in one-by-one on members of this community as they wadde through the trauma, the confusion, the suspicion, the guilt. Julia Garner plays the alcoholic teacher of the class that disappeared. Cary Christopher plays Alex Lilly, the sole kid remaining. And Josh Brolin is in the mix too, as a dad besieged by strange dreams – including one of a giant assault rifle in the sky that doubles up as an alarm clock, in an image that set the internet ablaze with debate.What does it all mean? CURTIS LEMAY TAKES COMMAND AND TESTS INCENDIARIES Colleague James M. Scott. After Hanselwas fired for a lack of results, Curtis LeMay, a pragmatic problem-solver from a hardscrabble background, took command in January 1945. LeMay realized the existing tactics were unsolvable equations and began tinkering with variables like altitude and radar. Concurrently, the US developed napalm and the M69 incendiary bomb, testing them on a mock Japanese village built in the Utah desert to ensure they could burn traditional wood-and-paper Japanesearchitecture. LeMay possessed detailed data on Tokyo's flammable density, preparing to exploit the city's architectural vulnerabilities. NUMBER 3 1945 OKINAWA

THE ARRIVAL OF THE B-29 AND THE PRESSURE ON HAYWOOD HANSEL Colleague James M. Scott. In November 1944, Brigadier General Haywood Hansel arrived in the Pacific with a mission to destroy Japan's ability to wage war using the B-29 bomber. Hansel, a pioneer of air strategy, was a staunch believer in high-altitude daylight precision bombing, a tactic designed to collapse an enemy economy by targeting specific industries like oil refineries. However, the B-29 was an expensive and technically "buggy" aircraft that faced immediate challenges. Hansel operated under immense pressure from Air Force commander Hap Arnold, who was suffering from heart attacks while fighting for the Air Force's independence against the Army and Navy. JET STREAMS, BAD WEATHER, AND THE FAILURE OF EARLY RAIDS Colleague James M. Scott. Hansel'sprecision strategy failed due to Japan's adverse weather and violent jet streams, which blew at 230 mph and ruined bomber accuracy. The B-29, which cost $3.7 billion to develop, suffered from mechanical glitches like engine fires during the 3,000-mile flights from the Mariana Islands. Early raids against the Nakajima aircraft factory were ineffective, destroying only 1% of the target. While British commanders pressured Americans to switch to firebombing cities, Hansel refused to abandon precision tactics.
