This episode reflects on the show Severance and the timeless desire for a reset—to start fresh without the weight of the past. At first, it might seem like a relief to separate parts of the self, to live without stress, fear, or regret. But true freedom doesn't come from forgetting—it comes from how each moment is met. The real reset is right here, right now—determined by our perspective of what is before us. And MAYBE it changes everything. Betsy Wurzel’s guest on Chatting with Betsy is Dr. Paul Saba, a Canadian and American physician who has lived and practiced on both sides of the border as well as internationally in war-torn and underdeveloped countries. Presently my medical practice is in Montreal, Canada. Being a citizen of both countries has presented me with a unique experience to comment on what’s happening in Canada, the United States, and the world. “Medicare for all” is being debated during the Presidential elections. Despite the noble-sounding words, it is not the “cure-all” that will guarantee quality health care for all Americans. Canada’s healthcare system is an example of socialized medicine and is far from perfect. Dr. Paul Saba is also the author of “Made to Live which describes a physician’s journey to save lives and debunks the myths of abortion, assisted suicide, and euthanasia. The book describes the value of every life whether pre-born, after-birth or anytime along with life’s journey. For more contact information:https://bit.ly/2JHeJku

Welcome to the #SPAITGIRL Talk Show with Yvette Le Blowitz EP.79 - Anxiety Relief Guidance with Tammi Kirkness Tammi Kirkness is a Life Coach, founder of VisionScope Coaching, Wellness Expert and Author of The Panic Button Book - step by step guide to neutralise worry, overthinking and anxiety. For as long as Tammi Kirkness can remember she has been an overthinker, over analyser and perfectionist. She was always striving for results, feed off recognition and looked like she was blitzing life but meanwhile she was running on nervous energy and when she was single it was easy for her to hide her high-functioning anxiety but when she got into a relationship with a beautiful man whom she eventually moved in with and then married, hiding her anxiety and panic attacks was no longer possible. She remembers the day when she had a panic attack and she couldn't breath nor move her body and when she looked at her husband he looked terrified and she hated that. A few weeks later when she was in a much calmer headspace she wrote down all of the scenarios that related to her anxiety and created a set of instructions that she could pick up if she felt panicky or worried and essentially she created The Panic Button Book as once she saw how much it helped her she knew she had to make it available for others. Tammi Kirkness has had a curiosity with understanding people which is what inspired her study psychology, yoga, teaching, energy-based modalities and coaching. She has studied in ashrams, at university, with monks in south of India, done a stint in the human resources arena and from there has converted this knowledge into running a thriving life coaching and corporate wellness practice. In this episode 79 our Podcast Guest Tammi Kirkness shares: - her personal story - what inspired her to write The Panic Button Book - what it was like telling her husband, family and friends she was suffering with Anixety - her self care rituals - what it was like meditating with Monks in an Ashram in the South of Indian - anxiety relief guidance - anxiety relief tips - a personal insight to what it's like to live with worry, over thinking and anxiety and things we can do to feel better from within Plus we talk about so much more of course For Even More - Grab a copy of Tammi Kirkness - The Panic Button Book or if you live in Australia head to Big W or your nearest book store to grab yourself a copy. On this episode of Graduating Anxiety, Alex interviews Ellen Braaten, Director of the Learning and Emotional Assessment Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a renowned child psychologist, who authored the book “Bright Kids Who Can’t Keep Up”. They discuss the implications of slow processing speed in learners, the relationship between processing speed and learning anxiety, the benefits of psychological testing and more. Key Takeaways: Even with psychological or learning issues, there is a “sweet spot”. Too much anxiety is bad but too little could make us unmotivated. Anxiety is not inherently “bad” as long as we understand it. Slower processing speed can make it difficult for otherwise bright kids to learn in a traditional setting--but it doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with them. In today’s climate, we are expecting more and more from children; they are at times expected to be “mini-adults”. Quite simply, it is important to remember to let our kids be kids and give them a break sometimes.

You can't sleep. Maybe your chest is pounding. Or you were on the phone with your boss or client and couldn't find the right words. In the midst of a global pandemic, our fight or flight response is on overdrive, and that response, intended to help us escape a sabre toothed tiger, shunts our performance to our breathing function and our critical organs. This same fight or flight response means our executive functions (context, decision-making, perspective, impulse control) are short-circuited. Living in fight or flight compromises our immun response. And living in fight or flight for extended periods of time can leave us with chronic or terminal illness. The 7 tips I cover in this episode will help you calm your fight or flight response so that your body and brain can have a much-needed break. These tips don't cost any money. And the majority of them only take a few moments at any given time.
