Do you Know How Clients Find Your Private Practice Before They Book a Discovery Call? Most people don't realize that you have access to data that can help you focus your marketing to bring in more clients. You just need to know where to look! Most private practice owners think they know where their clients come from. Someone emails you, books directly in your calendar, or calls your phone, so it's easy to assume that must be how they discovered your practice. But when you take a closer look at your last few discovery calls, you often see a different story. How someone reaches out to you in the first place is usually just the final step in a longer path that started somewhere else. When you trace that path, you begin to see which parts of your marketing are actually helping people find your practice before they reach out. Or sometimes you see how it's hurting things too. Instead of guessing where to focus your marketing, you can start strengthening the places that are already bringing in discovery calls.Listen in to learn:Why the way someone contacts you is not the same as how they found you, and how to use this to improve your marketing. The simple exercise that shows which marketing channels are actually bringing in discovery calls. How your website, directories, and Google profile influence people booking discovery callsIf you're a dietitian, therapist, or service provider growing a private practice and want clearer marketing that leads to discovery calls, this episode will help you see your marketing from a new perspective.Be sure to get the resources mentioned here: http://marketingyourprivatepractice.com/174 Click here to send Kathy a text message about this Episode

If we send our rates and the client ghosts us, we blame ourselves for being too expensive. If we don't send our rates, but request more information and then the client ghosts us, we blame ourselves for sabotaging the opportunity. If we send our rates and the conversation moves further, we think it's sheer luck. We are forever living in this debate between yes and no, sending or not sending, overcharging or undercharging.. Price, package & pitch your way to booking out your services with an easy "yes" from clients! ~~~ This episode came about after 2 of my students asked me if they should create a lower priced package for potential clients. The short answer? No! The long answer, listen and find out! Some takeaways from the episode: Lowering prices often stems from insecurity rather than market demand. It's essential to evaluate the true reasons behind pricing decisions. Offering lower-priced packages can dilute the value of services. Focus on long-term goals rather than short-term fixes. If you are looking to book more clients in your practice or business … I'm going to suggest you do one thing. Review your About Page content. It is one of the top pages on your website that helps people decide if they are going to book a call with you. But is it doing that for you? And how does this even work, you might wonder? You are probably thinking… “It's one simple website page where I'm supposed to tell people who I am”… Yes, it is, but it's more than that, too! This page and the content on it - even though it is about you, should not be all about you. It should be written in a way that is more about the visitors and how you can help them—and written so that it guides them to feel good about you, to trust you enough that they want to book a call and talk with you. If you are wondering how to do this and what kind of content to include… then be sure to hit play on this episode. The 5 steps in the framework I'm covering today will help you make that happen with the 5 steps in this framework to help convert more visitors on your About Page into Clients! One reason private practice and service-based businesses struggle to get clients to book their services is that they confuse clients with too many service offers. This leads to discovery calls that result in potential clients not making a decision and ultimately saying no to working with you.You can make it easier for clients to say yes by changing your offer setup and cutting back on your service offerings. Doing this can totally shift the results of those discovery calls and help simplify the decision-making process for clients. You will find yourself booking more clients. The 1-2 Offer Setup Strategy is designed to help you streamline your services into two clear options. This approach not only makes it easier for clients to understand what you offer but also encourages them to take action. When clients see fewer choices, they are more likely to make a decision and sign up for your services. Here are 3 key lessons you will learn by listening in:Simplified Decision-Making for Clients: Fewer options lead to quicker and more confident decisions.Reducing Sales Pressure for Both Parties: Clients feel less pressured, and you can focus on providing value rather than selling.Increase in Client Sign-Ups: A clear path from an introductory service to a longer-term commitment encourages more clients to say "yes."By implementing the 1-2 Offer Setup Strategy Kathy shares in this episode, you can create a smoother experience for your clients and increase your bookings without the stress of complicated sales tactics and less pressure for everyone. It also has the added bonus of building more trust in you as their service provider! In the last episode of Take It Personally, we talked about attracting your dream clients and treating social media like a giant networking event. A second part to this is related to a question I get asked frequently in various ways: “What should I be posting?” If you've wondered what you should post if you want to book more clients, grow your business, stand out as a brand photographer, etc., this episode will be covering it all. Here are the main topics discussed: Getting back into a place of service and figuring out how you can help Using frequently asked questions for content Addressing questions that haven't been asked yet Getting into your client's shoes Showing what photography provides (more than just photos) Highlighting past clients Incorporating content about yourself The importance of messaging We discuss this even more in my group coaching program, Rebrand! Ok Guys, I recorded this episode fresh off the plane from the USA and I was in a super productive, thriving mindset. I had even unpacked my suitcase and cleared my emails! I hadn't felt like this in a long time, so it made sense to record this episode on mindset. TBH the New Year's fever hadn't hit me and I was just too tired to set my goals and forecast the year. And I think we just need to give ourselves permission to relax, take it easy - we don't need to subscribe to the New Year hype of starting the year with a bang and rearing to go. But now I've settled in, I'm fresh from having a holiday, and I'm feeling ready to go. And to do that, we get our mindset in check. I'm seeing this a lot in our community at the moment and that's how much your mindset affects your ability to book clients. This is what I'm un-packing in this episode. I hope you're excited to listen! If you have the time, please could you rate and review this podcast or subscribe to it. It really helps us to continue making this free content for you and we just generally appreciate that you would do this for us! In this episode, I discuss the importance of pricing your photography sessions profitably from the very beginning. I emphasize the need to use a pricing formula that takes into account your lifestyle, goals, and expenses. I also advise photographers to craft packages that support their client experience and showcase their value. I caution against offering free or cheap sessions for too long and becoming reliant on discounts. Additionally, I recommend using easy, straightforward, whole numbers when pricing packages. I conclude by suggesting that photographers stick with their prices for a minimum of three months and aim to convert at least 40% of their leads.HIGHLIGHTS:Price your sessions profitably from the beginning to ensure a profitable and sustainable business.Craft packages that support your client experience and showcase your value as a photographer.Avoid offering free or cheap sessions for too long and becoming reliant on discounts.Use easy, straightforward, whole numbers when pricing your packages.Stick with your prices for a minimum of three months and aim to convert at least 40% of your leads.LINKS: Ep 270 | Want to Grow Your Photography Business to Full Time Income?
