Today on Too Opinionated, we visit with the director of Clawfoot, Michael Day! Michael Day is a writer, director, and producer born in Pittsburgh, PA. While in college, Michael got his start by directing a music video for a then, up-and-coming rapper, WIZ KHALIFA. After college, he immediately immersed himself in the film industry, working on such films as THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, DJANGO UNCHAINED, and TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, among others. In the feature world, Michael wrote and produced an action trilogy, titled ROGUE WARFARE. The second film in the series ranked #1 it's first week on Netflix. More recently, Michael started producing for Yale Entertainment, including such films as AS THEY MADE US, RARE OBJECTS, and THE KILL ROOM. Producing those films opened the door for Michael to produce and direct his first feature film for Yale, a dark comedy/thriller, CLAWFOOT, starring Francesca Eastwood, Milo Gibson, and Olivia Culpo. CLAWFOOT will be available on major VOD platforms. Michael second feature film, FOG OF WAR, starring John Cusack, Brianna Hildebrand and Jake Abel, will be released in the winter of 2024. Since then, Michael has produced several films that are currently post production: PRETTY THING, a sexual thriller starring Alicia Silverstone and Karl Glusman, directed by Justin Kelly; STRANGLEHOLD, an action comedy featuring Ashley Benson, Jake Lacy, Justin Long, and Ron Pearlman, directed by Clark Duke; and MIDNIGHT, starring Rosario Dawson, Milla Jovovich, and Alexandra Shipp, directed by Joshua Miller. This week, Tommy is joined by actress Brianna Hildebrand who reprised her fan-favorite role as Negasonic Teenage Warhead in Deadpool and Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. The film is currently the 6th highest opening of all-time at the US box office and has become the most talked about film this summer. Between having the power of generating explosions from her body, to being effortlessly stoic and cool, to representing a community that feels seen through one of the first queer superheroes, it's safe to say that the world wants more Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Today, Brianna opens up about how she was only sent pages for the scenes that she was in, what her very first day on-set for Deadpool was like, how Ryan Reynolds helped make her feel less nervous, booking a dream role for her very first movie, her favorite moments for her character throughout all three films, admitting to Ryan that he was her childhood crush, fighting the urge to crack-up when filming scenes opposite her co-stars, getting to work with the iconic Wolverine, if she hopes to play her character in more installments of Deadpool or a spin-off, what being thrust into the spotlight was like after the first Deadpool was released, how she protects her peace and stays grounded, and learning to put other people's opinions aside to focus on the things that truly matter.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The guys give both a non-spoiler and spoiler review of the latest Marvel movie Deadpool and Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Matthew Macfayden, Brianna Hildebrand, and Aaron Stanford.
The hero that loves to eat chimichangas while executing a perfect superhero landing is again knocking at your door! The merc with the mouth himself, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, is back and he's bringing a “friend.” You thought he was dead at the end of “Logan” but the Disney Marvel money was just too sweet and so Hugh Jackman as Wolverine comes back to join our indestructible hero in “Deadpool and Wolverine.” No such resurrection for Marvel will come from this movie alone but the prospect of getting these two all-time fav characters together is exciting. In this third Deadpool movie, our beloved Wham fan has gone limp in life and he's looking for a way to matter again. He's still got the love of all his friends but he there's someone in his life that he wants back and he's willing to do anything. Deadpool soon receives an offer to give him almost exactly what he wants but at a terrible price. Enter Wolverine into the movie when Deadpool learns he's an important part of everything going on in this movie. They don't exactly start out creating their own secret handshake and riding a tandem bicycle. Wolverine, who can count being super anti-social as one one of his superpowers, doesn't want to split a PB&J sandwich with Deadpool, much less help him in his quest. Will Deadpool be able to win Wolverine over? How many Madonna songs will be in the soundtrack? Does Jonathan Majors make a cameo? Is it worth finding out? Check out this episode to maybe find out. “Deadpool and Wolverine” also stars Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfayden, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, Stefan Kapicic and Randal Reeder. Send us a Text Message. This week on Fabulous Film & Friends we've jumped on that bandwagon and got a full fledged case of Deadpool-mania!That means we're going to discuss all three of Ryan Reynolds happy little R-rated capers which started in 2016 with Deadpool directed by Tim Miller, starring Ryan Reynolds, TJ Miller Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapicic, Ed Skrein, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Gina Carano. Then continued with 2018's Deadpool 2, directed by David Lietch and starring pretty much the same cast minus Skrein and Carano with the addition of Josh Brolin, Zazie Beets, Julian Dennison, and Rob Delaney. And capped off with the most marketed and hyped movie of my lifetime, 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Mr. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as well as a good portion of the previous supporting cast in cameos along with Matthew MacFadyen and Emma Corrin as villains. I'm Gino Caputi and my solitary guest today is author, hypnotherapist and comic book shop royalty Joe Field. I have to announce that Deadpool & Wolverine raked in 440 million over the July 26th 2024 weekend, the highest opening weekend box office haul for an R rated film ever. Was it Ryan Reynolds' and Hugh Jackman's over-the top marketing strategy of appearing on nearly every talk show and commercial for a month that helped or hurt its box office. Could it have been more if they hadn't seemed so transparently mercenary? Before we get into it, the synopses:Deadpool 1-3 are about Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool. the “Merc with a Mouth” a cynical 4th wall breaking character who makes scores of naughty puns while killing bad guys in over-the-top grotesque CGI enhanced ways. His powers are just like Wolverine's, he's unkillable because he heals and regenerates faster than it takes for his body's functions to shut down due to loss of blood. Or something like that. As promised, we're watching Deadpool this week. How did this one make the cut, you ask? Well, to quote the man himself: "some of the best love stories start with a murder. And that's exactly what this is, a love story." We're not 100% sure we believe him, but we can confirm that, at the very least, this movie contains some romance and a lot of wickedly dark comedy.Listen in for our thoughts today and find this movie, of all places, on Disney+! Zach and Charlie join Caitlin to cover Tragedy Girls, a horror comedy from 2017. It's got fun cameos, campy kills, and horror homages galore! We had a great time talking about it. We also got into prom talk and conspiracy corner. We needed a good laugh coming off of the awful news about Roe v Wade being overturned. Please consider donating to your local abortion fund. Keep fighting, and take care of yourselves.
Thanks to the reception from their first film titled “Patchwork,” writers Tyler MacIntyre and Chris Lee Hill were commissioned to rework a script that had similar overtones as a horror-comedy with female leads. They eventually got inspired to transform the script into a slasher movie but MacIntyre and Hill wanted to tackle the project from a different angle than the typical point-of-view from the victims and instead put the killers in the driver's seat. Eventually they wrote a scene that took place on a bridge between a pair of teenagers making out in a car and a serial killer hanging around nearly and that inspired the idea that spiraled into the entire script. Set in a social media age where likes and retweets matter far more than feelings, a pair of teenage girls decide to get bloody and up the body count in their hometown in order to turn themselves into a worldwide trending topic — hashtag murder scene! In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we're going to check our retweets and make sure the killing doesn't look like an accident as we review the 2017 horror-comedy “Tragedy Girls”…

About Jeffrey Morris and FutureDude Entertainment: Jeffrey Morris is the director of the upcoming feature film Persephone starring Mary-Louise Parker, Brianna Hildebrand, Emile Hirsch and Malcolm McDowell. This neo-classic space adventure will begin production in 2020. Since childhood, Morris has been a devoted science aficionado—focusing his passion on space exploration, oceanography, and meteorology. He channeled these passions into his creative endeavors, which were elevated over the years as Morris learned storytelling, illustration, and film production. Morris was deeply inspired by movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Blade Runner, and television series like Space:1999 and the original Star Trek, while scientists and explorers like Jacques Cousteau and Carl Sagan became major influences. Morris began creating his own stories and tech concepts as a teenager. For nearly three decades, he has unified his interests through a focus on entrepreneurship, art direction, science education, and interactive media. In addition to creating a number of books, documentaries, short films, music videos, and applications for the Apple iOS, Morris has worked for influential clients like NASA and is an active guest speaker on topics involving science and entertainment. His company, FutureDude Entertainment, got its name from a popular blog Morris has been running since 2012. Over the past thirty years, Jeffrey has directed commercials, music videos, and documentaries. As an art director, he has designed logos, marketing campaigns, and websites. Most recently he has published comic books, graphic novels, children's books, and award–winning science curricula. He also has led the development of the iOS mobile device game PARALLEL MAN: WORLD JUMPER and the TIMESPHERE interactive calendar and TIMESPHERE: US PRESIDENTS applications. In the past three years, Jeffrey co-wrote, art-directed and published the universe-hopping, 7-issue comic book series and trade paperback PARALLEL MAN: INVASION AMERICA; the 6-issue weather-manipulation adventure series BRAINSTORM. and the graphic novel of his short film, OCEANUS: ACT ONE. The mission of Jeffrey's company, FutureDude Entertainment, is to build a successful independent film production company focused on an approach that is rooted in intelligent, optimistic action and adventure stories—each with a sensibility not seen since the golden age of science-fiction cinema in the 1960's and 70's. Jeffrey established the 'FutureDude' monicker in 2012. It began as the name of his highly-successful blog which morphed into the dba for his company, Morris FutureWorks. Whether consulting for international clientele or developing his own content, the vast majority of Jeffrey's projects feature a positive, futuristic spin. FutureDude Entertainment is a premier source for captivating, future-focused adventure stories that span genres, media, and generations. Host Rae Leigh and featured guest Kat Cunning have a beautiful in-depth chat about art, covid, life, relationships and sex. The two of them share around how often sex is brought up in conversation around the negativity side of sex but often the beautiful spiritually healing side of good sex is not discussed and both connected over the power and experiences they have had getting them to where they are now. Kat adds soulful grace to anthemic alternative pop. An accomplished screen and stage talent, they appeared on Broadway as Emile in Les Liaison Dangereuses and in Cirque du Soleil in addition to acting alongside James Franco in HBO's hit The Deuce. 2019 saw Kat make their musical debut with fan favorite singles such "King of Shadow," "Birds," and "For the Love." Not to mention, they supported LP on a sold out U.S. Tour and received praise from Nylon, Teen Vogue, New York Times, Earmilk, and more. Kat currently co-stars in Netflix's Emmy award winning show “Trinkets,” as Sabine, a musician and also love interest to lead actress, Brianna Hildebrand. Kat, who identifies as non-binary (they/them), recently signed to Lava / Republic Records and released their first single under the new deal, “Supernova (tigers blud).” The single arrived in tandem with the season two premiere of the show where Kat's character, Sabine, performs it in the opening scene. Next up, Kat will also be a principal in the upcoming Jennifer Lopez film, Marry Me. Connect with Kat: Website YouTube Facebook Instagram Twitter Spotify TikTok

My guest is Jeffrey Morris. He's a writer, director, and futurist. Jeff's next film is a neo-classic space adventure called “Persephone.” It's starring “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood's” Emile Hirsch, “Deadpool's” Brianna Hildebrand, “Weed's” very own Mary-Louise Parker, and “A Clockwork Orange's” Malcolm McDowell. Since a very early age, Morris has been devoted to not only science fiction… but science itself — focusing his passion on space exploration, oceanography, and meteorology. Jeffrey Morris channeled these passions into his creative endeavors, which were elevated over the years as he learned storytelling, illustration, and film production. In addition to making films… Morris has created a number of books, documentaries, music videos, and apps. In this interview, we walk through his journey… but we also talk about how he's able to always find a way. That includes that Jefferey is doing all of this… not from Hollywood or New York… but from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He's doing amazing things… and doing them on his own terms. You're going to love him… so let's do this. This week, as we're still recovering from the wonderful mania that is MCM Comic Con, we're bringing you a treasure trove of interviews from the con, including ‘Deadpool 2’ stars Brianna Hildebrand & Stefan Kapicic, ‘The Walking Dead’ stars Khary Payton & Cooper Andrews, plus the legend that is John DiMaggio, the voice of Futurama's Bender!Khary Payton plays King Ezekiel on the zombie drama, leader of The Kingdom, and (until recently), owner of a pet tiger called Shiva. Along with that, he’s also well known for his voice work which includes a mass of video game characters, from Azrael in the Batman ‘Arkham’ games to Blade in ‘Marvel Heroes’, and characters in ‘Call of Duty’. However, the characters he’s best known for on the animation front are ‘Teen Titans’ hero Cyborg and Aqualad in ‘Young Justice’… A role which helped him first bond with his co-star, as you’ll hear.Cooper Andrews stars as ‘Walking Dead’ fan favourite and sidekick to Ezekiel, the eternally happy, axe-wielding, Jerry. His other work has seen him appear as Yo-Yo in ‘Halt and Catch Fire’, and he’s soon to pop up in the new DC movie ‘Shazam!’Brianna Hildebrand first appeared as the kick-ass Marvel character Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the 2016 film ‘Deadpool’ and she returns to reprise that role in this year’s ‘Deadpool 2’. Her other work includes the web series ‘Annie Undocumented’, Kerem Sanga’s ‘First Girl I Loved’, and the tv series adaptation of ‘The Exorcist’.Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic provides the voice and motion capture for the CGI character of Colossus in ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Deadpool 2’. Stefan has starred in a number of Serbian movies, and popped up on US tv in episodes of ’24’, ‘The Event’ and ‘Counterpart’, and will soon be seen on the upcoming season of ‘Better Call Saul’.Legendary voice actor John DiMaggio has provided vocals for a huge range of animated characters in shows such as 'Ben 10', 'Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures', 'Samurai Jack', 'Rick and Morty', 'Justice League Action' and 'American Dad!' However, the two characters he's probably best known for are Jake in 'Adventure Time', and of course, sociopathic robot Bender in 'Futurama'. He can soon be heard providing voices on Matt Groening's new Netflix show, 'Disenchantment'. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

The Filmlosophers, Eddie Villanueva, Chad Riley and Spencer Williams, wear their red shirts and brown pants for this week's review of Deadpool (2016). The long-in-development action comedy stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, the titular “Merc with a Mouth,” in an unapologetically crass performance that makes good on the film's R rating. With a sequel right around the corner, there's no better time than now to revisit this crudely entertaining spectacle of violence, vulgarity and fourth-wall-breaking humor. Directed by Tim Miller, the film also stars Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, and Stefan Kapičić. The sequel, Deadpool 2 (2018), bows in theaters this weekend.
Fox’s ‘Deadpool 2’ arrives in theaters this weekend. The film is directed by John Wick co-director David Leitch. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, Terry Crews, Bill Skarsgard and Rob Delaney. It’s a sequel to the 2016 original that shocked the film world with the attention it got and the surprising box office returns. The sequel focuses on foul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (AKA. Deadpool) who brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy of supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling mutant, Cable. Jon Schnepp, Amy Dallen, and Robert Meyer Burnett are here to give you their sweaty NON-SPOILER review of the film. They explore the acting, action, direction and storylines of the film. They explore what worked for them and what did not work for them in the film. They also let you know if this movie is a worthy sequel to the 2016 original.

On this episode of WHM On-Screen, Andrew and Steve sit down to chat about the mega-success that is Deadpool. Throughout the talk, the two give their complaints & grievances with the film, and also mention what they really liked about it. Not shockingly, Steve is knowledgeable and informed about the character and where he comes from, while Andrew is ignorant and doing his best to keep up. PLUS: Lots and lots and lots of X-Men talk. So much so that they watched an X-Men movie right after recording. Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds, Ed Skrein, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Leslie Uggams, and Stefan Kapicic as the voice of the poorly used Colossus; directed by Tim Miller.
Time to Make the Chimi-F#*king-changas So the comic book movie we have all been waiting for has arrived! Deadpool hit theaters on February 12th, marking the second time the Merc with a Mouth has graced the silver screen… but we can forget that first time… When Deapool first appeared in Wolverine: Origins, not has a character EVER been done so wrong. How can you have the character Deadpool, then sew his mouth shut? HOW!?! … actually on second thought, let’s forget that first time… However, from the movie that shall not be named, we did get to see a small glimpse of Ryan Reynolds playing Wade Wilson, bad ass merc, for a brief sceen at the beginning of the movie. That apparently enough for the the Internet (and Reynolds himself). Since then fanboys and fangirls everywhere have been lobbying for a true adaptation of the fan favorite character. Fast forward about seven years and some leaked footage later and we get a new R-Rated Deadpool movie for the adult masses! Director Tim Miller really knocked this movie out of the park, taking a $58 million budget and turning it, as of posting, a $135 million opening weekend. If you are counting that is...
