Aleisha and Tanita discuss key things they wish people knew before booking psychic readings or intuitive guidance sessions. They emphasise the importance of setting clear intentions and asking the right questions to get the most out of the experience. Focusing on the present moment and taking responsibility for shaping one's future is crucial. They also stress the value of education and empowerment in the spiritual industry, urging practitioners to provide tools for clients to navigate their own paths. Understanding the limitations of seeking definite answers and embracing the power of multiple possibilities are highlighted. The conversation covers the need for self-reflection before seeking guidance, how to test psychics effectively, and the importance of providing detailed information for deeper, more supportive answers. Trusting oneself and setting strong intentions are essential for maximising the benefits of intuitive sessions. This week I am finally back with Katy, having a catch up, she's an award winner now AND has her very own clinic! and discussing some fertility fundamentals. For the last in this series before we break for Easter we cover 5 things we think everyone should know about their fertility. Know Your Cycle. Understanding your menstrual cycle, what is and isn't normal and when you're fertile is one of the BEST ways to increase your time to pregnancy. Have Enough Sex: sounds obvious, I am sorry. But having enough next through the whole cycle and not just when it's your window is the best way to maximise your chances each month. It takes Two. It's always important to check the male partner and that lifestyle changes are applied to both parties. Test and Investigation. You don't have to wait to test and investigate your fertility. If you have underlying issues or concerns test ASAP or test at home. Also know that it doesn't always happen immediately and it can take time. Up to a year is normal. Lifestyle Matters. Healthy lifestyle impacts sperm and egg and does make a difference.
We're entering the holiday season, of course, and that critical six-week period in which we are encouraged to indulge in conspicuous consumption. IBJ Podcast host Mason King has it circled on his calendar, since his goal this year is to keep from exceeding his modest budget. His plan for this week's edition of the podcast was to ask regular contributor Pete Dunn—aka Pete the Planner—how best to avoid going into the red this year. But as usual, Pete had the bigger picture in mind. Pete's plan is to discuss the five things everyone should know about their financial life. Knowing those should help give you the grounding and confidence you need to guide your shorter-term budgeting decisions. And Pete and King still managed to talk a bit about how to deal with the unwelcome revelation that you and your family are spending more money than you're making. Spoiler alert: This revelation came about after King and his wife did a line-by-line examination of their credit card and debit card purchases. The IBJ Podcast is brought to you by Taft.

What is wrong with our education system? This is one topic that every adult has strong opinions on.And I think most of those opinions come from a place of genuine concern and good intention.Growing up, the issues we faced - we do not want our children to bear the same burden, or rather, to be more aware of the burdens they are about to bear.To improve the education system, while an endless process, is still one of the most critical pieces to solve for us as a community. In this episode of The Unlearning Playground Podcast, I am talking about 3 things that every education system should teach to everyone. The points I cover here are not limited to any age. I definitely think all adults should know, understand and internalise these concepts, but I also think that everyone in today's age should be aware of what I talk about here.Let me put it this way - everyone, whether they are gen z, millennials, gen x or boomers, all of them would benefit in one way or the other by internalising the 3 points that I cover here.Additionally, I would love to hear from you on this topic. Hit me up in the comments section on YouTube and let me know what all do you think the education system, in your country or in general, must teach to everyone. Or should at least try to.I'll see you in the playground.Until next time.Peace out. === Outline ===(00:00) - Intro(00:20) - Life lessons #1(02:40) - Life lessons #2(04:02) - An invitation(04:25) - Life lessons #3(06:12) - Closing--------------Check out all of my work on my website -https://chetannarang.org/For one-on-one personal sessions for life coaching, counselling & philosophical mentorship with me -https://chetannarang.org/nondual-philosophical-counselling-mentorship/Subscribe to my YouTube channel here - https://www.youtube.com/c/TheUnlearningPlaygroundConnect with me, Chetan Narang, on Instagram here -https://www.instagram.com/nrng.chetan/Checkout The Unlearning Playground podcast here -https://chetannarang.org/the-unlearning-playground-by-chetan-narang/--------------Credits for the beautiful soundtracks:Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/augustine/another-life License code: A4IITIDDH56OQH7H

But we just don't know much about the day to day impact politics might have.” For people like Bill, who wish to get people more involved in advocating for political causes without harming their mental health, today's episode will cover things things you should know about politics. Author Series In today's episode, I speak with Dr. Bobby Brewer, pastor, and author of, “UFOs: 12 Things Everyone Should Know (a Christian perspective)”. He is not only an author but has also served as a pastor in evangelical Bible churches across Phoenix and co-hosted a radio show for fifteen years. Today's episode discusses how Bobby approached writing his most recent book in comparison to his previous works. He offers relevant advice to new authors about how to get their work published in the evolving publishing world. With personal anecdotes, Bobby emphasizes the importance of thoroughly researching your topic, being willing to do what publishers helped with previously, and understanding your niche in the industry. Some top tips … Make it a daily practice to work on your book even when you don't feel inspired. Inspiration comes and goes, but even if you are not writing, you can spend time researching people to interview, and publishers to pitch, learning about your audience, or defining your niche. Utilize the resources at your disposal. Plenty of interview research can be conducted in your own backyard. It can be over Zoom, email, or with people related to your topic in your state. Networking is also a big part of book promotion, so utilize your immediate circle and see where their networks can take you. Self promote! Even if it feels uncomfortable, it is necessary to get your book circulating. Anyone can write a book, but getting people to read it is the hard part. Get familiar with different social media platforms and just start posting. In today's episode of the podcast, I talk you through six things I believe everyone should know about anxiety. I also give some context as to how our ever increasing mental load and the external pressures we may be under can contribute to this. Here are some of the headlines. Anxiety is normal. The media portrayal of anxiety can often be unhelpful and finally treatment for anxiety must be tailored to the individual and the particular type of anxiety for it to be effective. I also talk about the interplay between anxiety and depression. The Michael Yardney Podcast | Property Investment, Success & Money
A number of years ago I started making a list of all the things one needed to know about investing. I wanted to capture the favorite quotes I have read and the lessons I have learned. This ended up being a more ambitious project than I envisaged, and it remains an ongoing one. So, in today's show, Mark Creedon and I are going to share with you a list of 24 things we believe you need to understand about investing, the economy, and business, and this list is based on the musings of Morgan Housell, my favorite finance writer, and I'm sure you'll gain some insights from my chat with Mark today whether you're a beginning or an experienced investor or a businessperson. 24 Lessons About Investing and the Economy Over the years one of my favorite columnists whose articles I read regularly is Morgan Housell who used to write for Motley Fool and now writes for Collaborative Fun He writes a lot about behavioral finance and why supposedly rational people act irrationally when it comes to money, finance, and business. A number of years ago he wrote a great column where he detailed 122 things everyone should know about investing and the economy and there were some great lessons to take away from that article. I've pulled a number of these out today to discuss with my business partner Mark Creedon founder of Business Accelerator Mastermind. Saying “I'll be greedy when others are fearful” is easier than actually doing it. When most people say they want to be a millionaire, what they really mean is “I want to spend $1 million,” which is literally the opposite of being a millionaire. Daniel Kahneman's book Thinking Fast and Slow begins, “The premise of this book is that it is easier to recognize other people's mistakes than your own.” This should be every market commentator's motto. As Erik Falkenstein says: “In expert tennis, 80% of the points are won, while in amateur tennis, 80% are lost. The same is true for wrestling, chess, and investing: Beginners should focus on avoiding mistakes, experts on making great moves.” There is a difference between, “He predicted the crash of 2008,” and “He predicted crashes, one of which happened to occur in 2008.” It's important to know the difference when praising investors. Wealth is relative. As comedian Chris Rock said, “If Bill Gates woke up with Oprah's money he'd jump out the window.” The Financial Times wrote, “In 2008 the three most admired personalities in sport were probably Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, and Oscar Pistorius.” The same falls from grace happen in investing. Choose your role models carefully. Investor Nick Murray once said, “Timing the market is a fool's game, whereas time in the market is your greatest natural advantage.” Remember this the next time you're compelled to cash out.. Jason Zweig writes, “The advice that sounds the best in the short run is always the most dangerous in the long run.” Billionaire investor Ray Dalio once said, “The more you think you know, the more closed-minded you'll be.” Repeat this line to yourself the next time you're certain of something. John Reed once wrote, “When you first start to study a field, it seems like you have to memorize a zillion things. You don't. What you need is to identify the core principles — generally three to twelve of them — that govern the field. The millions of things you thought you had to memorize are simply various combinations of the core principles.” Keep that in mind when getting frustrated over complicated financial formulas. James Grant says, “Successful investing is about having people agree with you … later.” Scott Adams writes, “A person with a flexible schedule and average resources will be happier than a rich person who has everything except a flexible schedule. Step one in your search for happiness is to continually work toward having control of your schedule.” Investors want to believe in someone. Forecasters want to earn a living. One of those groups is going to be disappointed. I think you know which. As the saying goes, “Save a little bit of money each month, and at the end of the year you'll be surprised at how little you still have.” John Maynard Keynes once wrote, “It is safer to be a speculator than an investor in the sense that a speculator is one who runs risks of which he is aware, and an investor is one who runs risks of which he is unaware.” Our memories of financial history seem to extend about a decade back. “Time heals all wounds,” the saying goes. It also erases many important lessons. You are under no obligation to read or watch financial news. If you do, you are under no obligation to take any of it seriously. Most economic news that we think is important doesn't matter in the long run. Derek Thompson of The Atlantic once wrote, “I've written hundreds of articles about the economy in the last two years. But I think I can reduce those thousands of words to one sentence. Things got better, slowly.” The “evidence is unequivocal,” Daniel Kahneman writes, “there's a great deal more luck than skill in people getting very rich.” There is a strong correlation between knowledge and humility. The best investors realize how little they know. Not a single person in the world knows what the market will do in the short run. The more someone is on TV, the less likely his or her predictions are to come true. How long you stay invested will likely be the single most important factor determining how well you do at investing. With my background as a neuropsychologist, I get asked a lot of questions about memory and focus. Today, I'll explain the three biggest causes of brain fog, along with strategies you can implement now to help you to focus, boost your mental resources, and remember more!I spent years working in a hospital with patients trying to identify which parts of the brain were working effectively and which parts were not working well. We tested learning, memory, focus, attention span, and language skills. But for a good percentage of my clients, nothing was wrong with their brains! I struggled to figure out why they were having trouble with memory and concentration. When I dove deeper, I found that many of these clients who didn't have a specific physical reason for memory loss tended to have really similar stories (which usually included being super busy and burning the candle at both ends). When your brain is in constant go mode, you use up your brain resources fast.Listen in to learn why your brain is on all the time, how your brain prioritizes, why you shouldn't stress out when you can't remember facts, and the effects of brain burnout on your body. Show Highlights[03:13] How I was confident in my work and how that changed.[05:30] The story of a client who had memory loss because of a stressful lifestyle.[07:41] First mistakes and signs of brain burnout.[09:20] Why we can't remember facts when we are stressed out.[10:47] How somatic cognitive symptoms can affect brain efficiency.[11:30] Five elements that can overwhelm our brain and cause brain fog.[13:55] Emotional stress from our people pleaser perspective creates brain fog.[17:34] Our brains can adapt for short term, but will be affected by long term stress.[20:11] Following a healthy lifestyle for good brain function.Subscribe Today!Apple PodcastSpotifyAndroidStitcherRSSLinks | ResourcesIG: @DrNicoleByersFacebook: Dr. Nicole ByersWebsite: Drnicolebyers.comEmail support@drnicolebyers.comWhat's Your Stress Personality QuizSign up for my Confidence Boot Camp!

There are only a few reasons why you may be listening to this episode right now. You've heard of the flipped classroom and want to know a bit more. Or you feel like you've been flipping your classroom since the pandemic started and now you're wondering how that translates as we enter our new normal. Or you know the new normal we're heading toward can't be the normal that was, and yet you're not sure what it will look like, or more importantly what you want it to look like. All you know is, there has to be a better way to go about being accessible, flexible, and effective without you being the martyr that sacrifices your personal life and well being to do so. I'm going out on a limb here to say that although there is no silver bullet in education to solve all our daily teaching life problems, flipping the classroom is absolutely the answer for most teachers to be accessible, flexible, and even more effective without sacrificing their sustainability to do so. Will it solve all your problems? Absolutely not. Will it help you be prepared for the new normal that we're approaching in education where students are accessing your classroom from anywhere, and more than ever our students' choice to show up and engage is more powerful than ever? Absolutely, yes. So in this episode I'm going to talk about 5 things everyone should know about flipping, including your students and parents. When you're finished listening to this episode, you'll fully understand the possibilities and opportunities within flipping your classroom as you think about what you want your teaching life and classroom to look like as we approach the new normal in education. In this episode, I talk to my good friend, Steven Leon. Friends for 20 years, what’s been normal is not talking about the normal! He is a person of color, and we have never talked about race, systemic racism in America, and diversity in the workplace! His normal is being a person of color, and shares his views on being judged. There are revelations and truths shared in our talk. I reveal some things to Steven, and his take on society is to “judge people by their character.” It’s a fun, beautiful, and deep convo and I hope you enjoy it! How can I prepare a meal for someone eating gluten free? The cultivation of rice in early South Carolina had a tremendous impact on the development of Lowcountry culture and history. It inspired the forced migration of thousands of people from West Africa, created a wealthy elite, and dominated the economy and culture of our state for many generations. In an effort to raise awareness about the local story of this humble grain, I’ve assembled a list of what I consider the most significant facts about Lowcountry rice history that form the basis for our community’s shared heritage.
Today we are so excited to speak with Samantha Ettus. Samantha is work-life expert whose goal is to find the spark within each one of us and turn it into a fire. In this episode Samantha talks about: Her book The Experts Guide to 100 Things Everyone Should Know How to Do. One hundred experts each wrote a chapter on their area of expertise. The book became a best seller and she went on to write three more “experts” books. The “elephant in the room” for women which is how to manage personal lives in conjunction with their professional lives. Don’t quit your job until you’re financially stable, especially if you have a family. Even for single women, it’s so critical that you are financially secure and stable before you take a leap. Your personal brand is like an octopus. You are the center of the octopus and then there are all these tentacles like books, speaking, hosting a podcast, hosting a show, whatever it is. Those are tentacles of that main octopus. When you think of it this way, these are distribution channels for your same message and your same mission. Choosing your platform: It has to be something you’re passionate about. It needs to be something you get up every morning excited to do. Live as though you are adhering to a train schedule. You work every day from 9-3 or whatever it is that works for you and your business. You have to watch those hours or you will watch them disappear. Three tips on how to better manage our life versus work-life balance for more success. It’s important to choose a partner who will be your equal at home, instead of someone who expects you to do 90% of the work at home and with the children. Once you have a partner it’s about how you manage that relationship. How are you managing your time? Do all of your errands in the “golden triangle”. These are the three points in between your home, your office and your child’s school. Always make sure that your building your network continuously. Keep up with your industry, always making new contacts and keeping in touch with current ones. Staying relevant is critical. Tips on how to become more productive: If you have kids, it’s essential you have boundaries in terms of the time you’re with them and the time you’re focused on work. A lot of entrepreneurs who are working from home struggle with this. It’s hard when you have kids at home to close the door and focus on your work. It’s pivotal you have some kind of childcare or it’s almost impossible to get a business off the ground. At home with your loved ones turn off your technology for a couple hours a day. You can give your office or colleague your home phone and say use it in an emergency. Contacting Samantha Website: www.samanthaettus.com.
