"Wade Ronsse is a touring drummer, private drum teacher, session musician, and a small but enthusiastic part of Boise, Idaho's vibrant music scene. He tours nationally with Americana/Jam troubadour Jeff Crosby and has been a part of many (mostly locally) well regarded bands, including Lounge on Fire, Wend, Sun Blood Stories, Freeman Dejongh, and Rider & Rolling Thunder. This more band-focused drumming has led to creative applications on projects spanning from heavy psychedelic rock, horn-driven R&B, psychedelic to avant-garde harp and string quartet experimental music, all the way to Honkey Tonk Country. His recording career is rooted in a deep appreciation for Boise-based musical creators, resulting in a small but cherished catalog of over 100 recordings with his favorite local musicians, collaborators, and friends. His 2025 record contributions include the surfy/twangy Day for Night with femme-fronted group Cactus Moon as well as the indie/folk and art rock Wait, Sky by Jesse Blake Rundle (released on DOE Records). Tonight, we'll be speaking with Scott, who had a strange encounter back in 1991 when he was just an eleven-year-old Boy Scout. He saw standing next to a large tree froze him in place — a small, hairy figure that his young mind could only describe as looking like an Ewok from Star Wars. We'll also hear from Bryce, from Ohio, who had his own chilling experience twenty-one years ago when he was seventeen. He and a friend were spending the weekend at a family friend's cabin deep in the wilderness of Vanceburg, Kentucky. The two decided to take a paddle boat out on the property's five-acre pond, but as they neared the shore, Bryce spotted something massive — a figure with broad shoulders — moving deliberately toward them. And finally, Jimmy from Georgia has recently had strange activity on his property. Everything from strange footprints in his backwoods, rocks being thrown at him and his son being roared at. Jimmy describes a visual of a pair of glowing red eyes on the edge of a power line near his hunting area

In 2018, Jason Shurka was approached by “Ray”, an anonymous member of an occult lodge/organization that specialized in developing psychic abilities that could be used to influence events and people in a positive direction. He was told that the organization called The Light System had over 18,000 members worldwide and competed against other lodges/organizations that similarly developed psychic abilities and occult practices, but used these for control and domination over the rest of humanity. Ray revealed to Jason hidden truths about secret space programs, extraterrestrial life, deep underground military bases, and psychic abilities. Jason eventually agreed to join the organization and become a spokesperson for it. Jason has been helped by the organization to develop or promote several healing devices using light and frequency that can also be used to stimulate higher brainwave states conducive to advanced psychic abilities. Albert Taylor Ph. D is an aeronautical engineer and scientist who spent almost two decades evaluating satellite system designs and many confidential government programs. Currently a metaphysical researcher, Taylor is an active member of the International Association of Near Death Studies, and a participant in the Monroe Institute's Voyagers program. He lives in Los Angeles. Albert's book Soul Traveler talks of his own out-of-body experiences and much more. Beyond that, he is a robotics expert, and has been creating robots to hunt for ghosts and other paranormal phenomena. We talk about all of this during this show. Albert Taylor performed development engineering on a top secret program which has since become known as the F-117A Stealth Fighter. He evaluated satellite system designs in support of former President Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) or Star Wars. During the late 1980's Taylor taught Logistics Engineering at Cerritos College, California. He has also served as a volunteer art instructor at St. Paul's Elementary School in West Los Angeles. Taylor's art work has been exhibited in Southern California galleries. In 1992 he developed two prototype computers, and started a company called Phoenix Computers Systems, which he still owns today. As Star Wars was being developed back in the mid-70s, the maverick special effects crew at ILM were pioneering new filmmaking technologies in often unconventional ways. In the early days, machinist Stuart Ziff found himself thrust into the action on day one. In the years that followed, Stuart used his skills in a variety of ways at ILM including working on Return of the Jedi creature costumes like Admiral Ackbar, Nein Nunb and Ree Yees, and on many projects from Dragonslayer to Ghostbusters to Jurassic Park. We return to our rundown of Flash Gordon, just as Flash and Prince Barin are being taken to the Hawkmen's planet to fight to the death!Flash Gordon was directed by Mike Hodges, the British filmmaker behind Get Carter and Pulp, and produced by the legendary Dino De Laurentiis. Based on the King Features comic strip created by Alex Raymond, the film stars Sam J. Jones as the all-American hero Flash, Melody Anderson as Dale Arden, Ornella Muti as the dangerous Princess Aura, Max von Sydow as Ming the Merciless, and Topol as the eccentric scientist Dr. Hans Zarkov. The supporting cast includes Timothy Dalton, Brian Blessed, Peter Wyngarde, Peter Duncan and John Hallam — a line-up that reads like a who's who of cult cinema.We dig into the incredible production history of Flash Gordon, from De Laurentiis' first attempts in the 1960s to his decision to turn down George Lucas — a choice that helped inspire Star Wars. The film's troubled development included a scrapped version by Nicolas Roeg, with Debbie Harry once rumoured to play Princess Aura. Eventually, Hodges took the reins, working from a screenplay by Lorenzo Semple Jr., the same writer who brought Batman's colourful POW! ZAP! style to TV in the 1960s. That influence is clear throughout, giving Flash Gordon its unmistakable comic-book tone.The film was shot mainly at Elstree and Shepperton Studios, pushing British set design and visual effects to the limit. For the famous Hawkmen sequence, the crew built a sixty-foot-high, hundred-foot-wide blue screen powered by a million watts of light. The result is one of the most gloriously excessive moments in sci-fi history — a flying army, Brian Blessed shouting “Gordon's alive!” and Queen blasting through the speakers.Speaking of Queen, we explore how their soundtrack revolutionised film music, paving the way for rock bands to score major blockbusters.
