1 And after these things the Lord appointed also other seventy-two: and he sent them two and two before his face into every city and place whither he himself was to come.Post haec autem designavit Dominus et alios septuaginta duos : et misit illos binos ante faciem suam in omnem civitatem et locum, quo erat ipse venturus. 2 And he said to them: The harvest indeed is great, but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send labourers into his harvest.Et dicebat illis : Messis quidem multa, operarii autem pauci. Rogate ergo dominum messis ut mittat operarios in messem suam. 3 Go: Behold I send you as lambs among wolves.Ite : ecce ego mitto vos sicut agnos inter lupos. 4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes; and salute no man by the way.Nolite portare sacculum, neque peram, neque calceamenta, et neminem per viam salutaveritis. 5 Into whatsoever house you enter, first say: Peace be to this house. In quamcumque domum intraveritis, primum dicite : Pax huic domui : 6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him; but if not, it shall return to you.et si ibi fuerit filius pacis, requiescet super illum pax vestra : sin autem, ad vos revertetur. 7 And in the same house, remain, eating and drinking such things as they have: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Remove not from house to house. In eadem autem domo manete, edentes et bibentes quae apud illos sunt : dignus est enim operarius mercede sua. Nolite transire de domo in domum. 8 And into what city soever you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.Et in quamcumque civitatem intraveritis, et susceperint vos, manducate quae apponuntur vobis : 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say to them: The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.et curate infirmos, qui in illa sunt, et dicite illis : Appropinquavit in vos regnum DeiThis holy Priest of Luna in Tuscany founded the Congregation of Regular Clergy called "of the Mother of God", and the Institutes. He died at Rome on October 9 A.D. 1609. St John Leondardi was beatified by Pope Pius XI. Pius XII extended his feast to the whole Catholic world A.D. 1940.
Joel 1:13-15, 2:1-2 (The day of the Lord, a day of darkness and gloom) 2 Corinthians 4:1-2, 5-7 (We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for the sake of Jesus)
O caretaker of souls who sought so diligently and with wisdom and love to reform the Church and all her members, beginning with those in higher office, and so were persecuted by men who would not be healed of their disease – pray that all will be taught the true doctrine of the faith, from early childhood to adult vocation; may all know to what they are called as Christians in this world. And may that Word go forth to the ends of the earth, that the faith will be propagated in all lands and in all hearts and the Lord's holy discipline serve as treasured guide for all who would come to the kingdom of Heaven.

Here are some of the key questions and topics we cover in this conversation: What it means to self-identify as an “endometriosis expert” and why early, accurate testing is so important How the microbiome of the reproductive tract may influence both endometriosis and infertility Why common biomarkers like CA-125 have limited usefulness, and what new research on VEGF and inflammatory markers may reveal Whether genetic testing could one day help identify susceptibility to endometriosis How complementary strategies like pelvic floor physiotherapy, dietary changes, acupuncture, cannabis, and psychotherapy can support fertility patients living with endometriosis Why advocacy (both self-advocacy in the clinic and public advocacy through research and awareness) is key to advancing care for all patients Resources: Read the full show notes on Dr. Aimee's website. Doug talks with Dan Leonardi, who went from Pepsi truck driver to corporate executive after quitting college. The career strategist and founder of Leonardi Personal Development worked at companies like Pepsi, Kellogg's, and ConAgra. He built a 35-unit condo complex to pay for his sons' college education and shares his approach to creating your own luck. At 68, Dan has released his book "Be the CEO of Your Life" and teaches students how to bridge theory with practical application. He explains the 70-20-10 rule that shows why relationships and experiences matter more than education and reveals how inverting traditional leadership structures can turn around struggling teams. KEY TAKEAWAYS • Create your own luck, success comes from taking action to create opportunities. Dan built a 35-unit condo complex to turn his sons' college expenses into profit. • The 70-20-10 Rule is something Dan follows and advocates for, only 10% of career success comes from education, 20% from relationships, and 70% from experiences. Most people graduate thinking they're done, but they're only at the 10-yard line with 90 yards of life still to play. • Life is three stages, ages 20-30 are for building knowledge through relationships and experiences. 30-40 is when you create financial wealth. 40+ is the compounding phase where everything comes together. • Dan shares how you can transform teams by putting customers and associates first, with leaders serving to remove obstacles rather than commanding from above. • Surround yourself with people who give energy and help others succeed, not those who drain energy and create obstacles. Your advisors should be positive and supportive. • Dan believes that whilst Academic education provides a foundation, success comes from applying knowledge to real situations. Listen to experienced professionals and learn from every interaction. • Successful people want to share their knowledge with younger generations. Don't be intimidated to ask questions, one conversation can change your trajectory and costs nothing. • Be the CEO of your own life! Take ownership of your path while treating parents and mentors as your board of directors. You make decisions, but surround yourself with wise advisors. BEST MOMENTS "If someone says to me, 'Hey, you're the luckiest guy in the world,' I would take it perhaps as an insult, because if you're just lucky, that implies I did nothing to create that luck." "90% of my learning came from two things. It was relationships and experiences." "Don't look at anybody else. Don't care about what everybody else is doing. You are the CEO of life of your life." "The three worst letters in the dictionary, when they're combined, it's bad. And it's EGO." You set up an assumption, you have a theory, you analyze your data, and you show that the assumption does not hold. Doing good qualitative research is that simple. Except that it's not, of course. On the ground, in the research and writing process, these basic rules can be quite tricky to implement. So we discuss some heuristics researchers can use to limit their conversants, settle on suitable theoretical lenses to examine their data, and collecting more data than what they thought was necessary. Full Text of ReadingsTuesday of the Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time Lectionary: 462The Saint of the day is Saint John LeonardiSaint John Leonardi's Story “I am only one person! Why should I do anything? What good would it do?” Today, as in any age, people seem plagued with the dilemma of getting involved. In his own way, John Leonardi answered these questions. He chose to become a priest. After his ordination, Fr. Leonardi became very active in the works of the ministry, especially in hospitals and prisons. The example and dedication of his work attracted several young laymen who began to assist him. They later became priests themselves. John lived after the Protestant Reformation and the Council of Trent. He and his followers projected a new congregation of diocesan priests. For some reason the plan, which was ultimately approved, provoked great political opposition. John was exiled from his home town of Lucca, Italy, for almost the entire remainder of his life. He received encouragement and help from Saint Philip Neri, who gave him his lodgings—along with the care of his cat! In 1579, John formed the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, and published a compendium of Christian doctrine that remained in use until the 19th century. Father Leonardi and his priests became a great power for good in Italy, and their congregation was confirmed by Pope Clement in 1595. John died at the age of 68 from a disease caught when tending those stricken by the plague. By the deliberate policy of the founder, the Clerks Regular of the Mother of God have never had more than 15 churches, and today form only a very small congregation. The liturgical feast of Saint John Leonardi is celebrated on October 9. Reflection What can one person do? The answer is plenty! In the life of each saint, one thing stands clear: God and one person are a majority! What one individual, following God's will and plan for his or her life, can do is more than our mind could ever hope for or imagine. Each of us, like John Leonardi, has a mission to fulfill in God's plan for the world. Each one of us is unique and has been given talent to use for the service of our brothers and sisters for the building up of God's kingdom.
