What's holding you back in business right now? Don't like your voice/look, imposter syndrome, time, perfection syndrome, fear of haters? Maybe a few of these? Video is one of the most powerful ways to show up online because you can really show off your personality and expertise at the same time. And video can be incredibly entertaining too! Just ask the guest of today's episode! I originally started following her because her camera confidence showed through and her videos were incredibly entertaining and educational. She really makes video look easy! Shana Yurko knows what she's talking about, and she's even turned some really negative comments into fuel for future content. (What's wrong with people that they send hurtful comments to others!?) Tune into this episode as we talk outsourcing some of your video, what's holding people back, how to be more confident on video, and the most important thing when creating video for your business. (It's not killer editing skills or trendy Reels!) Mentioned in This Episode Get Confident on Camera 5 Easy Instagram Reels Transition Tutorials About Shana Yurko Shana is a 12-year veteran video producer, photographer, brand-builder, and marketer who helps business owners grow their biz with content that stands out and creates connection. You'll typically see her with a camera or a coffee in my hand…working in video production for 10+ years will do that to ya. She's produced, shot and edited video content for big brands like GoDaddy, Paramount Animation, Hydrafacial, InStyler, CBDistillery, and more. Now more than ever, business owners are growing their income using platforms like Instagram - for zero dollars. And the crazy thing about it? It's easy when you break it down into a simple repeatable system. Creating content should be simple, fast, and efficient. (Blame Shana's obsession on the years of planning 12-hour shoots scheduled down to the minute.) Bottom line... small business owners don't have time to waste on systems that aren't effective. And you can use these systems to make all types of videos that convert followers to customers - even if they're uncomfortable on-camera and have never made a video before.

Katey Yurko lives in Austin, Texas with her boyfriend Dan. She's the creator of The Violet Fog, a website packed with tips on mental wellness, love, holistic well-being and DIY beauty. She has SUCH an important message to share with us today. It's about how loving and KNOWING yourself more intently can help those who live with depression. Katey went for years not understanding her depression well, and developed really unhealthy coping mechanisms. She isolated herself from others, for fear of being judged or misunderstood. She felt like a burden to friends and family, even though they were always supportive. That's why she's so passionate to share what has helped her the most in her struggle with depression. She especially wants to share her knowledge on ways to fight depression that don't include taking prescription medication. Listen in to episode number 44 of the Love Intently Podcast to hear how Katey realized she had depression, what it looked like in her darkest days, research-based tips for depression and mental wellness, and how she opens up to her boyfriend and family when she's having a depressive episode. You can follow her on Instagram @thevioletfog and on her website, http://violetfog.com/. She absolutely loves when people who follow her say hello and connect, so don't be shy! Additionally, there are two exciting events Love Intently is involved with this month. On Feb 13th, there will be a Live Love Intently Podcast recording with Elsa Moreck and Jessica Honeger. Heather Yurko has never lacked passion for her visions or belief in herself. When she opened the doors to Neatbeat Salon in 2013, she knew that her passion could take her anywhere she wanted. After spending a few yers behind the chair beautifying her beloved clients and helping solve the world’s problems (because that’s what stylists do) she had a calling to do more. She had this concept of PIP (Positively Impacting People). After several ‘face plants’ PIP University was born. Even Heather's Pip University 'why' statement is powerful: I felt worthless. Like a nobody. I, by default, chose the path of most resistance, dropped out of college and went to cosmetology school. It was a road filled with legit lack of respect. Hair Artists are powerful, smart and worth their weight in MORE than gold, some just don't know it yet. We are here to change that. PIP University is a virtual, interactive set of courses meant to escalate a person’s impact in the beauty industry. But at CZL we believe that there are fabulous life lessons to draw from the teachings at PIP even if you do not work in a salon setting. In fact, Shannon and Brittany have been following Heather for years and appreciate her no nonsense outlook on what it takes to achieve those seemingly unattainable goals. Heather could not be where she is today without her main chick by her side, Samantha Huber. Heather and Sam are the ultimate dynamic duo that are setting the beauty industry on fire and ready to take over the world. During their chat today you will learn how PIP University stays afloat, the power of the team around you, and why Heather is committed to investing in the PIP experience from start to finish. This is a high energy, fun episode that will have you wondering how you can PIP your life. Enjoy! Neatbeat Salon PIP University Website PIP IG Samantha Huber
