Send us a textJosh Dech wasn't long into his career as a paramedic when he realized that he was working in “sick care” instead of health care. His patients weren't getting better; in fact, they were getting worse. After driving the same people to the hospital repeatedly, and watching most of them get sicker or die, he left Paramedics and went into personal training. After working with hundreds of clients, he realized that the common denominator for his clients' health issues, including skin issues, brittle hair, hormones, weight loss resistance, etc., was related to nutrition, gut health and stress. Josh went back to school and became a Holistic Nutritionist and specialized in gut health. He had numerous clients who were getting relief, but he quickly realized the extent of digestive issues with his clients who were living confined to their houses, with up to 50 bowel movements a day, crippling pain and brain fog, who were afraid to leave their house for fear of having accidents. His love for this field of health care came from watching adults get their lives back. Most doctors believe gut diseases are forever.Josh wants to prove them wrong. In this episode, Prof Clare Collins and Ilyse Jones discuss diverticulitis, a common gastrointestinal condition, particularly as you age. They explore its causes, symptoms, and the importance of dietary management. The conversation emphasizes the need for medical advice and the role of fiber in both acute flare-ups (where fibre intake is reduced) and prevention (where fibre needs to be high). They also discuss the stigma around talking about bowel health with healthcare professionals. No Money No Time: What's the difference between Diverticulitis and Diverticulosis? …and do you need a special diet?https://nomoneynotime.com.au/hacks-myths-faqs/whats-the-difference-between-diverticulitis-and-diverticulosis-and-do-you-need-a-special-dietNo Money No Time: How what you eat can help manage constipation https://nomoneynotime.com.au/hacks-myths-faqs/finding-relief-can-diet-improve-constipationDo you want a Personalised Food, Nutrient Assessment Report? Send us a textOlaf Kock is working in the software business, currently in technical sales. As a self-described nerd, he found the ketogenic diet in 2012 through a podcast on software security out of pure chance and quickly started a one month trial of the mysterious condition called ketosis. This experiment has evolved through several flavors since then, but as far as Olaf is concerned, the experiment never ended, and he is still ketogenic to this day!Compared to many others on the ketogenic lifestyle, his health journey was rather unremarkable until 2024, when he discovered that he could indeed treat his long-standing nasty conditions of Diverticulosis and Diverticulitis with proper nutrition, which to him, evolved to mean that he needed to try carnivore and eliminate all plant-foods from his diet. This year, he tried his luck by bringing his experience into a Toastmasters Speech Contest, which consisted of an amazing seven-minute speech! Judges are supposed to judge the delivery, not the content, but there could have been a hard-core vegan among them. :)...And since Olaf is coming from and living in Hamburg, Germany, means that he is an authentic Hamburger.Find Olaf at-Mastodon- https://norden.social/@olafkhttps://www.olafkock.de/okFind Boundless Body at- myboundlessbody.com Book a session with us here!

If you struggle with bloating, constipation, or unexplained gut pain, this episode is a must-listen. ***
This week, we preview our upcoming free Holistic Integration educational seminar happening this Wednesday, January 29th at 6 p.m. In this episode, you'll learn:—How 80% of your immune system is in the gut and your gut health is one of the biggest indicators of how healthy you're going to be.—Why Dr. Prather says that there is more "non-you than you in your body" when you are talking about the number of cells in the body and your gut flora.—The importance of an annual blood test, hair analysis, and gut check that Dr. Prather uses as the starting point for getting to the root cause of his patients' health. —How the detailed gut health lab report has grown to 30-pages from just 12-pages two years ago because of all the advances in gut research.—Why Dr. Prather says skin health issues like Eczema and Psoriasis originate in the gut, along with Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer, Diabetes, and "all autoimmune disease".—The "menagerie" of supplements, including prebiotics and probiotics, available at Holistic Integration to help balance out a person's gut health. And how they can test in advance to see which supplements will work best for each patient.—Why Dr. Prather says that Fiber is the #1 supplement he recommends that everyone needs more of, BUT that patients also need to have their gut healed before they can handle the amount of Fiber they need.—How one Mom told Dr. Prather that he "saved her sanity" by helping her screaming, Colicky baby with proper probiotics. And how a stool kit is an easy way to check an infant's health.—The warning Dr. Prather gives to patients about gut cleanses and the more gentle approach he recommends instead. And how Dr. Prather is able to help Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Diverticulitis, Diverticulosis, Irritable Bowel Disorder, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. —Why Dr. Prather says "you have to go to the gut" with "almost all learning disorders", ADD/ADHD, and Autism. And the role of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Diathermy in helping provide what is sometimes immediate relief for abdominal pain from Pancreatitis and Gallbladder attacks.http://www.TheVoiceOfHealthRadio.com

Diverticulosis is the direct result of a diet that's too low in fiber. When your colon has to contract more vigorously to expel small, hard stool that's characteristic of a low-fiber diet, it causes a lot of pressure in the wall of your colon. This leads to small bulges, which eventually become diverticulosis. I'm seeing more and more patients in their twenties and thirties with diverticulosis, a disease that's supposed to strike in your 60s and 70s, and the explanation is on our plate. In this episode: how to reverse symptoms and halt progression of diverticulosis. We'd love to hear from you - send us a text!Thank you for being a part of our community!
