¡iba a probar mi primer Porsche! … Resultado, me decepciono.
A roaring rock anthem for every Ferrari fanatic who's ever dreamed of owning the Big Five — the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. But no matter how deep your pockets go, the legendary 250 GTO stays forever just out of reach. Fuzzy guitars, growling vocals, and pure gasoline energy. If you've got octane in your veins, this one's for you.
SailGP has cancelled next month's Rio event after identifying a defect in select wingsails in the F50 fleet.
Jason and Derek review their top 10 best (and worst) experiences behind the wheel in 2024. Everything from ulta-rare Porsches, to open-air Lamborghinis, manual-swapped Mercedes (and Ferraris), supercars, hypercars, rally icons, and more! === The Carmudgeon Show Sponsor, Vredestein Tires: https://www.vredestein.com/ Click here to join the Hagerty Driver's Club: https://bit.ly/Join-HDC-Cammisa-Rev === Christmas comes early for us this year (but not quite in time for this episode) in the form of 6 brand new sets of dutch rubber courtesy of our sponsor, Vredestein Tires! The Curmudgeon's then continue with a discussion about each Carmudgeon's Grandmother's vehicular preferences, which included the likes of the Ford Pinto, AMC Pacer, ‘87 Chevy Cavalier, Saturn SL1, ‘99 Nissan Sentra, Dodge Aries K-car, Dodge Duster 340, and Buick Wildcat. Then we briefly revel in some sweet, sweet vindication after Car and Driver named the Tesla Model 3 to their 10 Best list, but rejected the G20 BMW 3-Series (as it had the F30 before it) and specifically the G80 M3. The Cadillac CT4 and CT5 Blackwing both made this list, alongside a handful of perennial stalwarts like the Honda Civic, Honda Accord, and GR86/BRZ twins. Afterwards, we recount hanging with Jay Leno while filming 3 separate episodes of Jay Leno's Garage featuring Jason's Mk2 VW Scirocco 16V, E30 BMW 325i Touring, and E31 850 CSi. And finally, it's time to talk best drives of the year! The boys loved three Ferraris: the 296 GTB, 360 Challenge Stradale (manual-swapped), and F50. Plus one car from Enzo's nemesis: the Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster. Then, Jason and Derek include wwo Porsches: the 992.1-chassis 911 S/T and 964 Carrera RS 3.8. Both the Bugatti EB110 GT and Veyron made the list, as did another Piëch-era favorite: the VW XL1. Speaking of VWs, the 1964 Beetle and new ID.Buzz both made the cut as well. What would a Carmudgeon episode be without a smattering of Mercedes products? The W209 CLK63 Black Series (manual-converted), W201 190E 2.5-16, C126 560SEC, and a W124 300E with a Mosselman twin-turbo kit and Zender body! Two EVs even made the list: the incredible Lucid Air Sapphire and spunky Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Plus some exquisite lightweights: the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 1300, Lotus Exige V6 Cup, and Lancia Stratos. The worst drives of the year? That honor goes to the disappointing Pagani Zonda and 4-cylinder W206 Mercedes-AMG C63. We end wondering how to rack up miles behind the wheel of our favorite vintage cars safely. One thing we can all agree we need? More time off! Happy Holidays! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today we're talking to Northstar Sail GP's flight Controller Billy Gooderham! After season 4, things were looking a little grim for the future of Canada's Sail GP team. They had lost a 2025 regatta in Canada, there were questions about ownership, and there had been radio silence from the social media sites. On November 6th that all changed when the team came roaring back with a new owner (Dr. Greg Bailey of biotech company Juvenescence), new skipper (2 time olympic gold medalist Giles Scott!) and a confirmation of an event in Canada in 2026 (gotta be Halifax, right?). We talked about the hopes for the new season, life at the start line for an F50 flight controller, and the new T foils he tested which should lead to even faster speeds for Season 5!!

Reviewing two V12, manual-transmission masterpieces — the Carmudgeons drove a Pagani Zonda Nero and a Ferrari F50, thanks to DK Engineering. === Click here to join the Hagerty Driver's Club: https://bit.ly/Join-HDC-Cammisa-Rev Jason's Hoodie & Merch: https://closed-course-productions.printify.me/ === DK Engineering slid into Jason's DMs with an offer to drive an F50, a car he hadn't driven. Derek is already on record praising the F50 — but neither had driven a Zonda. They drove the cars, but didn't talk about it with one another until now. So here's the unfiltered truth about these two cars. In reality, they couldn't be more different. Disappointing. Derek called the Pagani disappointing — the worst thing you could ever hear from your parents. Especially after Jason had just ridden in the Gordon Murray GMA T.50. Perhaps this Zonda, which had been federalized for U.S. emissions, was quieter than most, but it was an acoustic nonevent: it sounded like a Toyota Camry V6. Which isn't an insult (that's the best sounding V6 in production today) — but it was out of bounds with their expectations. Where the Zonda surprised, however, was that it's a nice GT. But one perhaps that's not what the boys expected. On the other hand, the Ferrari F50 was a complete experience. Its V12 sounds nothing like any of the other 3 Ferrari V12s (Colombo, Lampredi, or F116/F140.) It's not a particularly beautiful sound — more a yell than a scream — but it's fully enveloping and wonderful. The rest of the experience matches up, with linear controls, beautiful steering, and a chassis that feels natural and wonderful. With one of the best clutch/shifter/gas calibrations ever, despite the V12 having almost no flywheel weight. Also, we include a video of Jason shifting the F50 about 2.2 million times in a minute. All this and more on this episode of the Carmudgeon Show, which is part of the Hagerty Podcast Network. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
This month on Shirley Robertson's Sailing Podcast Shirley previews the 37th America's Cup, as the city of Barcelona readies for what promises to be one of the most exciting editions of the famous trophy.Five Challengers are set to battle it out on the fastest foiling monohulls ever built, as they go head to head in the Louis Vuitton Cup, in a fight to take on the Defender, the current holder of the trophy, Emirates Team New Zealand.Robertson talks to representatives from all six of the Cup teams, chatting to team members with a wide range of roles, to get a real insight from across the fleet into what to expect come race day.In this the second episode of this two part edition Robertson kicks things off talking to INEOS Britannia's Design Lead, Martin Fischer. Based at Brackley in the UK, Fischer and his Cup design team share an office with the might of the designers behind Lewis Hamilton and George Russell's Mercedes AMG Formula 1 team, so an obvious discussion point is the influence on F1 design on the increasingly imnportant area of aerodynamics. Fischer was lead design at Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli for the last edition of the Cup, and is an expert voice on the evolution of the AC75 design rule, as well as some ideas on how the other teams' boats are shaping up.Robertson then heads to Orient Express Racing Team, to talk to team CEO Bruno Dubois. Leading a French team that's based heavily on the talented French Sail GP team, Dubois discusses the talented line up in his team of Quentin Delapierre and Kevin Peponnet, he talks about the design package deal between the team and the Defender, and discusses the fact the team were the last to launch their AC75 in Barcelona. From France, Robertson heads across the Barcelona yacht basin, to the home of American Magic, to site down with podcast regular and all around sailing super-helm, Tom Slingsby. Part of the American dual-helm seup with Paul Goodison, Slingsby is a previous Cup winner, but missed the previous Cup in Auckland, The pair discuss much about sailing the AC75, compare it to the F50 of Sail GP, but also discuss the adoption of recumbent cyclors by the American Team, the only team in the Cup to do so.Robertson's final chat is with Swiss Olympic rowing star Barnabe Delarze, one of several rowers in the cyclor team at Alinghi Red Bull Racing. A two time Olympian with a win in the famous University Boat Race on his CV, Delarze discusses life as an AC37 cyclor, how pivotal the role is, why so many of the teams are packed with Olympic rowers, and what winning the Cup for two time winners Alinghi would mean to the team. This edition of the podcast is in two parts.Support the Show.

In this podcast episode, we have the honor of welcoming Maurizio Corbi to this digital stage. Maurizio is the Senior Designer at Pininfarina. Anyone in our community working with car design will immediately recognize Maurizio and his legendary achievements in the design world. For everyone else, here's a brief overview. Car design has been Maurizio's lifelong passion, and it wasn't enough for him to merely design cars – he wanted to design Ferrari cars. His first Ferrari project was the F116 (F456 GT) project, and his interior proposal was chosen. Then, in 1990, the iconic F50 emerged. The design process was unique, as Ferrari selected different elements and parts from the proposals of the entire team. In the end, Mr. Ramaciotti, the Director of Pininfarina Studies & Research at that time, built a unified proposal that featured a significant part of Maurizio's work. In 1992, Ferrari assigned his team the project to restyle the F348. From this exercise, Ferrari selected Maurizio's proposals for the front and the side, giving birth to the F355 (Project F129). In December of the same year, he began the first sketches to define what later became the F550 Maranello (F131A). Over the decades, Maurizio has consulted on numerous projects, with a more recent contribution to the front end of the California in 2008. All in all, Maurizio is perhaps the only designer in the world who has designed the most Ferrari cars. Join us as we dive into the evolution of Ferrari's iconic designs, exploring the delicate balance between tradition and innovation. We discuss insights into sustainable car design, navigating the changing landscape of mobility, and envisioning a future where elegance seamlessly merges with environmental consciousness. As in every episode, you will have many opportunities to learn from Maurizio, not only about car design but also about his personal lessons learned along the way. Enjoy!

--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/eagle-joe/message

--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/eagle-joe/message
--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/eagle-joe/message
Post production : Grégoire Levillain Générique : All the summer girls

On today's episode, Jason and Derek are accompanied by a large pile of snacks to discuss the greatest Ferrari driving experiences of all time. Needless to say, all prancing horses have been FAR from created equal. Discussion revolves mostly around the F50, which surprises Derek in its accessibility after some recent seat time with reserved expectations. Jason follows up with his experience in the 288 GTO, which was nearly perfect- high praise, given Jason's general disinterest in turbocharged power plants. In reality, the greatest road-going Ferraris are the ones that actually be used on the road- cars that were developed during a time when speed limits were gradually being raised, rather than docked while the bar of modern performance surpassed achievable road-going limits. This brings into question cars like the 812 Superfast and LaFerrari that Jason and Derek argue are wonderful feats of engineering but simply too fast for enjoyable road use. What even is the last great Ferrari that won't throw you into a guard rail? Or is the ability to light up the rears in third all the fun? Tune in, and perhaps you'll find out. All this and more, brought to you by the Hagerty Podcast Network.
Diffusé le 23 août 2022 Générique : Fast and wild/EdRecords Post-production : Grégoire Levillain

Z brings on the whiskey as we detail the Ferrari F50 and how with the stroke of a pen a Giant was crushed.
Is this true that 98% of startups are not fundable? In this episode, David shares with us his American dream, his journey from being an engineering, transition into a serial entrepreneur, and eventually turn into a successful VC. We discussed: How to lead the business and make the right decision during challenges? What makes a successful entrepreneur & VC? What is the future for healthcare tech? How to successfully raise money? David is a pioneer and passionate leader of the venture capital ecosystem in Silicon Valley and built the F50 ecosystem system, where he drove the selection of 500 startups to the F50 platform, and lead the investment into 30 of them, including Knightsope (IPO 2021), Doc.AI (Sold at 20X), Plastic, Flirtey, Oculii, Seven.ai, Zeitro, Voke VR (Sold to Intel), Invi (Sold to Google), David has intensive experience in healthtech, deeptech. David founded Silicon Valley’s largest grassroots entrepreneur community SVE, where he hosted SVE Talk and SVE Demo. He is the producer of F50 Global Capital Summit, and F50 Global Insights youtube channel. He is also serving or served as an advisor for DocuSign, Ehouse Capital, Peakview Fund of Fund. David Cao was the Founder & CEO of GWC US (Sold to holding company); the founding president of the Silicon Valley Entrepreneur Toastmaster Club; founder and CEO of ExtendLogic (Acquired by BeyondSoft). Prior, he was the VP of Engineering at PlayPhone (Acquired by Gungho), a leading mobile entertainment in USA, and Engineering lead for LightSurf, acquired by VeriSign for 274M USD.
Everyone needs help sometimes. When you're in a position of leadership with a highly visible company, especially a tech giant, it can be hard to know where to turn. Who can you trust? Where is it safe to be vulnerable? One answer that many of these leaders turn to is Marc Levine. Marc works with leaders to identify areas for growth, and then help them find new ways to approach their challenges. He's really good at what he does, and has the client list with recommendations to prove it. How, though, do you find your own Marc? How do you find a coach that's right for you? That actually knows what the hell their doing and is going to make a difference - not just take your money. It's not easy. There is no objective standard, and even most of the "qualifications" aren't worth the paper they're printed on. During the conversation Marc and Michele explore the very idea of what makes someone a good coach, and what makes someone a great coaching client. Together they give a clear picture on what to look for. For further good measure they also talk about the future of Silicone Valley, and whether F50 execs are really the heartless money grubbers the media portrays them as. Diffusé le 20 avril 2021 Générique : Fast and wild/EdRecords Post-production : Clovis Tisserand

New football boots that are built on old concepts - in today's Episode 90 of the Boot Nerds Podcast, JayMike from Unisport and Josh from SR4U discuss new football boot models that are basically built on the same concept as classic football boots but with new designs - for instance, the Boot Nerds feel that the X Ghosted.1 from adidas is very similar to the adidas F50 adizero, the Nike Phantom Venom shares a lot of DNA and concept with the T90 Laser IV, and the Nike Mercurial has essentially been the same as it was when Nike introduced it 18 years ago. So ARE new football boots often old concepts revisited with new designs? Hear the two boot nerds discuss in Episode 90 of the Boot Nerds Podcast.
This week it's once again just Joseph, Mitch, and Joel, as Matt is still hiatus-ing. This week Mitch talks about the #Shitegra, we answer a suspension question, and a bit of news, and we talk about the Yaris GR and argue about the F40 Vs. F50. Mitch then talks about the Integra, and the new bits and bobs he's done to it, and what still needs to be done, and we take a question from Andrew regarding what brand suspension he should get for his Mazda MPS6. Then we discuss the false economy of the Australian Japanese car market which we're expecting/hoping to crash next year. For episode #12, I chatted with Mike about having the courage to speak your mind, self-censorship, the rising tide of socialism in the United States and the power the stories we tell ourselves both as individuals and societies have to dramatically alter the future we end up living in. Mike runs creative programming for Founders Fund, including F50, the firms annual summit and Shop Talk, the firm’s professional networking series. He’s also creator and producer of the firm’s awesome podcast, Anatomy of Next, which just went into a new season. Continuing the series - 'BrownCarGuy & Buddies' in this episode I chat with Fraser Martin - a Scotsman who's lived in the Gulf for over four decades and has been involved in just about every aspect of automotive and motoring in the Middle East, from instructing, to testing, to car development and motoring journalism. Here he talks about that time he had to drive Mohammed Ben Sulayem's supercars (Ferrari F40 and F50, Porsche 959 and Jaguar XJ220) all day for Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld and continues to shatter my illusions about the F40. We also touch on the time he was hostage and human shield in Kuwait in the First Gulf War and what he learned from that; his extensive experience off-roading including how he proved a point by taking his Honda Jazz (one of the very first in the UAE) over an off-road course designed for a large SUV; that time we took a Volkswagen Passat CC 4Motion into the dunes and things went a bit wrong; and why most motoring journalists can't drive - oh, he had to get that one in! Plus we look at a the incredible dioramas he's been creating over the last couple of years utilising the over 500-strong collection of classic model cars he has. Best speed boots ever - in today's Episode 66 of the Boot Nerds Podcast, JayMike from Unisport and Josh from SR4U discuss the 5 best speed boots in the history of football boots - but this list is a little different to what you might expect, because it doesn't feature the original Nike Mercurial R9 or the Nike Mercurial Vapor 1 - both of which truly set the tone for modern speed boots, but instead the boys choose their Top 5 Speed Boots list from a criteria based around performance, significance and which football boots they could actually wear today. Thus, the list contains speed football boots such as the 2014 adidas F50 adizero, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 13, Mizuno Morelia Neo II Beta, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 and Flyknit Ultra and the Nike Mercurial Vapor 8. If you disagree, of course, we're more than happy to hear your thoughts in the comments section right down below, where you should also leave your questions for next episodes Q&A.

Why the pro's boots are different from the football boots we can buy - in today's episode 64 of the Boot Nerds Podcast, Josh from SR4U and JayMike from Unisport take a look at some of the craziest modifications we've seen on pro player football boots all the way from Lionel Messi and his custom adidas Nemeziz football boots, to CR7s Superfly 4 with a shorter tongue over Neymar Jr and his insane Vapor 10 that was disguised as a Hypervenom 2 and of course Robin van Persie's super crazy custom adidas F50 adizero with an adiPOWER Predator outsole on - and that's just to name a few as JayMike and Josh look into the craziest custom football boot modifications we've seen on pro player football boots.
Together Sam and I discuss the state of modern-day prototype racing, his most memorable race at Le Mans, and what it's like to drive an F40 and F50 in the same day! we also deep dive on his all-important Five Car Garage, in which he pays special attention to one specific Marque.
Best CR7, Messi and Neymar signature football boots - which star player has had the best signature football boots so far? In the wake of the release of Neymar Jr.'s latest signature Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 Jogo Prismatico football boots, Josh from SR4U and JayMike from Unisport discuss the best signature boots that have been made for Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. through their careers - and, of course, also rating some of the worst signature boots we've seen from adidas and Nike over the years. So if you also think that the Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 NJR Jogo Prismatico football boots loo a lot like the F50 adizero Samba Messi signature boots from 2014, go and check out Episode 62 of the Boot Nerds Podcast.
The worst football boots ever - in today's Episode 56 of the Boot Nerds Podcast, Josh from SR4U and JayMike from Unisport join forces to discuss the worst football boots ever made - in order words, there will be a whole lot of complaining about the most terrible decisions in football boots history. No brand is safe, and Josh and JayMike will go after both the Nike Mercurial Superfly 2, the adidas F50.8 TUNiT, the PUMA v1.10, the Under Armour Create Pro II and many other stupidly bad football boots. High-end watches, art and cars can be a great investment, that can withstand any recession. In this episode, Rob talks with Steven Sulley, and former professional footballer Kieran Richardson about their shared love for all things art, cars and watches. They talk through about how to get into each market, what to look for when investing your cash and how it's all about passion. If you're thinking of investing in assets to gain a return or you just love watches this is the episode for you. Key Takeaways How did you get into podcasts, Steven? I'd done the progressive property podcast training and thought I'd done a lot of public speaking anyway, so I'd enjoy it. It gives you validation to your brand. The trickle effect means I get to meet people, and it hopefully helps my business. Kieran talks through his motivation from talking with his friends on WhatsApp to start his own podcast. Some of the best podcasts are those that are just conversations. In the football world, did you feel the media sometimes misrepresented you, Kieran? Definitely sometimes, and it's not always true but the public read it and think its true. Now, footballers have their own social media and can control it better. If you are on a podcast you can reach millions of people without editing. We all have an interest in watches? You know if you have a Patec then there are certain things you know about that person. Kieran stated he had been collecting watches for seventeen years for the love of them. I buy them for the look rather than their function. I fell into selling watches to people and making people face smile. I love it. The moment someone has a watch that you recognise the conversation can start from there. We are all making a statement of who we are. So we try and meet other people who are into the same things as we are and can have a conversation with others. Just from a watch, you learn so much about someone. You can have a free watch because it goes up in value. Buy it for x amount and sell it for more. You can make money on them if you buy at the right time and the right brand. If you want to get into watches, what would you do? Kieran stated Rolexes are a solid investment. Rolex Daytona can really increase in their price over time. Paul Newmans, Paul Newman was worth 17 million, and it wasn't even in good condition. You need to find someone credible, who can open up the watch and check its authenticity. Get a service receipt so you have clarification that it's real. The value goes down without box and papers. You have to be passionate about it, so you can track the market. My money came from football? I'm lucky enough to buy watches through football. Sometimes you have to graft, so then you can do what you want to do. My father and my mom throughout my life they have owned several businesses and I've seen that through my family. I've always been into business. Footballers don't know what to do often when they retire and the PFA don't really do anything to support you. Once you start making a decent amount of money you stop thinking about the future. Kieran is not officially retired but if I got fit I could play in the Premier League. I have two young children and don't want to go around the world. Some footballers still want to play until they were 40. I got to retire on my own terms. What's your favourite modern car? Aventador, or F40, and F50. Aventador took Lamborghini to another level that looked more futuristic. Audi is helping in the building of it, so it is a tight car. We love both Ferrari and Lamborghini, especially vintage Ferrari. Some of these cars are built for the track Why do you think higher-end cars have gone up in value, and then dropped more recently? No one really knows cars have definitely dropped. Things go up and down all the time. Great cars will always come back around. If you wanted to buy a car? Limited production, and getting the right brand. Some Mercedes lose value straight off the lot. Definitely, start with buying the right brands( A car that they don't make any more for example). Also look for cars that have got a full service-history. Paying someone who has the experience to check over the car is essential. What about art, what things to do you look for? You have to be an expert in a specific strategy in the market. As far as investment is concerned to ask three questions: is the artist backed by a museum, gallery/agency and an art dealer? If it's yes to all three, then you're probably on for a winner. We deal in contemporary street art. These paintings are going for hundreds of a million. How do you get into painting? You have originals, which is about quality. The shadow head would be around 40-50K. From canvas to paper goes down in value. The limited editions, copies are going for 100's of thousands. It's all about supply and demand, 100 is not a lot of copies from one artist. Some people buy the copies and have the real one in storage. What is your motivation for buying art? That's the most important question when I speak to my clients. There is a different purchase if it's a pure investment, or if it's a decoration or if it fits into their portfolio. If you don't have the courage to spend tens of thousands a good limited edition is a solid place to start. Some people like to go big, it depends on your appetite for risk. Definitely, buy the right brands. A car that they don't make any more for example. Cars have got a service history. Rockwell’s Sonicrafter F50 is a great multi-tool. The price for this is $150 and you find it here https://www.rockwelltools.com/en-us/ Use this tool sand, scrape, cut and more. I like multi-tools for trimming baseboards, cutting pipes, and sanding tight spots. It accepts all types of blades and boasts a universal fit system. When you buy the F50 it comes a 34-piece kit and bag. But it on Rockwell’s site with free shipping or over on Home Depot The Sonicrafter F30 is only $99, so if you’re on a budget this is a good option.
