¿A qué otras organizaciones te recuerda? ………………………………………………………………………………………. Jake Lang, a former January 6 political prisoner who spent over four years without trial, was pardoned by President Trump back in January. Jake is running for the Florida US Senate seat, which Marco Rubio had held before his appointment as Secretary of State. Jake stepped out of a campaign event to discuss with me his J6 experience, but before we could get into his campaign, he received a call from Edward Kelley, a fellow pardoned J6er who is still being held - transferred to Blount County, Tennessee - who joined the conversation from jail.Dennis Kneale has been an anchor at CNBC and Fox Business Network after serving as a senior editor at the Wall Street Journal and managing editor of Forbes. Joseph Smith Jr. was an American religious and political leader and the founder of Mormonism and the Latter Day Saint movement. Publishing the Book of Mormon at the age of 24, Smith attracted tens of thousands of followers by the time of his death fourteen years later. The religion he founded is followed by millions of global adherents and several churches, the largest of which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Smith professed a belief in Jesus, so why did a man, known as the "Wickedest Man On Earth" and vehement anti-Christian, Aleister Crowley, so enamored with him? Joel is joined this week by ex-Mormon, Heidi Luv from Unfiltered Rise Podcast, to explore the depths of this Smith-Crowley connection. They walk through the beginnings of Mormonism and Smith's use of Enochian magick to summon the angel Moroni similar to the workings of John Dee and Edward Kelley. They peel back the layers of the Mormon hierarchy and its parallels to Freemasonry. Finally, they expose the hero worship of Joseph Smith by Aleister Crowley and why a known occultist would find a "religious" man like Smith so intoxicating.
Halloween is a practice preserving archaic human rituals for the protection of society against evil in all forms, including cold, darkness, and ignorance. It is thus fascinating to see an ancient series of varied customs come together in modern day society, and particularly interesting to see it unfold famously in the largest city in the world - Tokyo - which on the surface seems to also be one of the most technologically advanced. In other words, watching ghosts, zombies, etc., wandering technologically advanced and artificially illuminated streets is just surreal. We can find a similar contrast between the works of John Dee and Edward Kelley - with their use of scrying techniques and materials like crystals, gold, or black glass - and the modern practice of speaking to AI-chatbots, which utilize the same materials in their processing. The same can be said about the uploading of personal information to create a digital replica of loved ones - a sort of digital necromancy. From the Talmudic summoning of Christ to the Witch of Endor and Saul's conjuring of Samuel, to the modern daily communication we have with bots, AI, and the like, things that are programmed with our data, we are engaging in divinatory and magical practices daily. In other words, this high-tech scrying is producing the byproduct of our own unconscious and subconscious in the forming of a digital homunculus that some are calling the anti-christ. -FREE ARCHIVE & RSS: https://www.spreaker.com/show/the-secret-teachings Twitter: https://twitter.com/TST___Radio Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thesecretteachings WEBSITE (BOOKS, RESUBSCRIBE for early show access): http://thesecretteachings.info Paypal: rdgable@yahoo.com CashApp: $rdgable EMAIL: rdgable@yahoo.com / TSTRadio@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-secret-teachings-with-ryan-gable--5328407/support.

Tonight, my special guest is author Jason Louv who's here to discuss his book 'John Dee and The'Empire of Angels' who was a 16th century scientific genius and occultist. A comprehensive look at the life and continuing influence of 16th-century scientific genius and occultist Dr. John Dee • Presents an overview of Dee's scientific achievements, intelligence and spy work, imperial strategizing, and his work developing methods to communicate with angels • Pieces together Dee's fragmentary Spirit Diaries and examines Enochian in precise detail and the angels' plan to establish a New World Order • Explores Dee's influence on Sir Francis Bacon, modern science, Rosicrucianism, and 20th-century occultists such as Jack Parsons, Aleister Crowley, and Anton LaVey Dr. John Dee (1527-1608), Queen Elizabeth I's court advisor and astrologer, was the foremost scientific genius of the 16th century. Laying the foundation for modern science, he actively promoted mathematics and astronomy as well as made advances in navigation and optics that helped elevate England to the foremost imperial power in the world. Centuries ahead of his time, his theoretical work included the concept of light speed and prototypes for telescopes and solar panels. Dee, the original “007” (his crown-given moniker), even invented the idea of a “British Empire,” envisioning fledgling America as the new Atlantis, himself as Merlin, and Elizabeth as Arthur. But, as Jason Louv explains, Dee was suppressed from mainstream history because he spent the second half of his career developing a method for contacting angels. After a brilliant ascent from star student at Cambridge to scientific advisor to the Queen, Dee, with the help of a disreputable, criminal psychic named Edward Kelley, devoted ten years to communing with the angels and archangels of God. These spirit communications gave him the keys to Enochian, the language that mankind spoke before the fall from Eden. Piecing together Dee's fragmentary Spirit Diaries and scrying sessions, the author examines Enochian in precise detail and explains how the angels used Dee and Kelley as agents to establish a New World Order that they hoped would unify all monotheistic religions and eventually dominate the entire globe. If you could speak the language of the angels, what would you do? Asks divinity to explain the mysteries of the universe? Speak into existence the infamous regenerating chocolate bar? Check on your college boyfriend to make sure he's still a talentless loser with no prospects and no future? (just me?) Well, if nearly 6 years of Witch, Yes! has taught us anything, it's that unlimited power never lands in the hands of a competent woman. It usually finds it ways into the unwashed mits of a bearded man... or how about TWO! On this episode, Terra and Alicia decipher the secret language of angels and usher in the apocalypse just as John Dee and Edward Kelley attempted in the 1500s. When the world was burning witches at the stake and England was just an island and not an empire, two bearded boys with a love of sudoku and a dream ventured into the celestial realm. They made friends! They made enemies. But mostly they wrote a book that they believed could unlock the secrets of the universe. We'd like to formally thank Dr. Justin Sledge of ESOTERICA for his extensive lectures on Enochian Magic available for free on his YouTube Channel. We could not have finished this episode without you. We are back with a long-awaited episode of our Occultists & Scientists series focusing on the life of John Dee and his scryer Edward Kelley. A renaissance man in every right, Dee was a physician, engineer, theologian, astronomer, cartographer, and magician - working with the angels to develop a unique system of angelic magic now described as Enochian. Cub Kuker Supernatural™ Podcast EP340 Enochian magic is a system of ceremonial magic based on the evocation and commanding of celestial beings or angels. It is often associated with the works of Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley in the late 16th century. The term "Enochian" is derived from the Book of Enoch, an ancient Jewish apocalyptic text attributed to Enoch, a biblical figure. However, it's important to note that the connection between the Book of Enoch and the system of magic developed by Dee and Kelley is more symbolic than direct. John Dee (1527–1608) was a mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, and advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. He teamed up with Edward Kelley, a medium, in the late 16th century to communicate with angels and receive divine revelations. According to Dee and Kelley, they made contact with angels through a series of scrying sessions using a crystal ball. The angels supposedly provided them with a complex system of magic, including a unique language called Enochian. Enochian is a language that Dee and Kelley claimed was the language of the angels. It consists of a series of letters and symbols arranged in a grid, and it is said to have its own grammar and syntax. The system includes a set of angelic names, divine words, and various symbols that were believed to have magical properties. The most famous aspect of Enochian magic is the Enochian Tablets, a series of four elemental tablets, each associated with a cardinal direction. The hierarchy of angels in Enochian magic is organized into several levels or "aethyrs." These aethyrs are considered different planes of existence, each ruled by specific angelic entities. The angels are associated with divine attributes, and their names and sigils are used in rituals for various magical purposes. While Enochian magic has roots in the 16th century with Dee and Kelley, it gained renewed interest in the 18th and 19th centuries during the occult revival. The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, a secret society founded in the late 19th century, incorporated Enochian magic into its teachings. Members of the Golden Dawn, such as Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers and Aleister Crowley, further developed and popularized Enochian magic in their occult practices. In summary, Enochian magic is a ceremonial magical system based on the supposed communication with angels through the efforts of John Dee and Edward Kelley. It involves a unique language called Enochian, a complex hierarchy of angels, and various symbols and rituals for invoking and commanding these celestial beings. The system gained prominence in the 18th and 19th centuries through the works of occultists like Mathers and Crowley, who integrated it into the teachings of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. × I Create Vids About Supernatural Realms. One of the most renown forms of Magic we have today was received by the Arch Mage of England John Dee and his scrying counterpart Edward Kelley. No doubt, even if you have a cursory knowledge of the world of Magic, the word "Enochian" conjures up many opinions. For some it is a beyond useful and very powerful type of magical process which tests the magician resolve. For others, it is such a powerful form of magic that doing it could cause ruination, insanity and disaster for the one who dares attempt it. On this Episode, we have Scott Stenwick and Cliff Wigtil helping us get some perspective on the whole enterprise that is called Enochian Magic.
The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe an ancient text allegedly from the 1400's known as the Voynich Manuscript. Brought to the mainstream world by Wilfrid Voynich, this manuscript has allegedly been touched by folks ranging from Friar Roger Bacon to dragon-rearing hot-tub-using Pope Gregory 13th but nobody can work out what it is. The book was also allegedly truthfully but also possibly once held by honourable John Dee, the advisor to the House of Tudor Queen Elizabeth. John had a medium, occultist Edward Kelley, to whom the angels communicated that John and Edward needed to make a very special type of agreement… Back on topic, was this text written by aliens? Or does this book contain KFC's secret recipe and if so, how many secret herbs and spices does the Colonel really have? All that and more on this week's file. The party is over but you feel like you'll remember this night forever. You will, but not for the reason you think. Suddenly, In the dark distance, a red light appears. Only you notice it at first, but as it draws near, everyone grows silent. Out of the gloom something begins to take shape, some thing with horns, and a tale. Its engulfed in flame and its running right at you From Slithering Astral Invaders crawling across the couch, to the whispering dead partying in the attic, Join us, on this episode of belief hole, as we open the door to other realities and explore strange true tales, of the inexplicable and the unknown!!
One of the oldest forms of divination is scrying which is divining messages through a reflective surface. 2000 years ago in the ancient world, the upper echelon of society would use a circular piece of black obsidian to scry. The Greeks would also use hydromancy, reading messages in water. At about 3000 B.C.E., the Babylonians began to scry messages in lamp oil. Scrying has been used by many mystics, diviners and psychics, including Queen Elizabeth's court astronomer, John Dee and his assistant Edward Kelley. Scrying can be used for mediumship, connecting with loved ones on the other side, past lives, connecting with ancestors and different dimensions. You can use a candle and a soft gaze to relax your vision to see messages in the mirror. Join April, Harmony and Maggie as they share the history, uses, and personal stories of scrying. This week, we're talking about history's wildest alchemists, and we have ourselves a real-life wild alchemist to help navigate! The friendly curmudgeon Alex (host of Natural Born Alchemist) joins the program as guest once again, and this is a man that has immersed himself in the practice and study of traditional alchemy for many years. We bring up names like Count of St. Germain, Zosimos of Panopolis, Goethe, John Dee and Edward Kelley, and the great Paracelsus, as well as alchemy-adjacent names such as Aleister Crowley, Helena Blavatsky, voodoo priestess Marie Laveau, and even the infamous Gille de Raise - a nobleman who once protected Joan of Arc, only to pursue alchemy, black magick, and human sacrifice after her death. We even bring into the conversation names like Rasputin and da Vinci (although either are not technically considered alchemists in any degree). Join us as we weave our way through the histories of these characters, their stories, and their philosophies! This episode has no shortage of the miraculous, unexplainable, horrific and folkloric. It is a fantastic episode retelling a story that will give you chills. Then, come back here for an epilogue of sorts... Now, today's episode of The Skylark Bell is a little different than what you're used to, as it is recorded in Audio Drama format as a phone call between two characters, and features an introduction and voice acting by the host of The Haunted UK. This episode may also be slightly scarier than a typical episode of The Skylark Bell.Alright, you've been warned! Now go grab a blanket and a warm drink, and let's get started.Halloween 2021 saw the Haunted UK Podcast publish a bonus episode which told the unbelievable story of an author and his terrifying experience with something completely out of the ordinary. Going by the name of Robert Crawford, this individual tried to gain some sort of normality back into his life...but those experiences on an isolated farm in England's Peak District would continue to haunt him every minute of every day.Little by little Robert's life began to fall apart because of the impact of what he'd witnessed, and also the fact that Gwen and Bernie knew where he lived. He had no idea what had happened to both of them after he left the farm on that final fateful night.... did they both get out of the tunnels under the barn... or did they die down there?? Every day was a waiting game.... would someone come looking for him to make sure that he never spoke of what he saw?Just how long had the existence of this bloodline of creatures been kept secret, and how many actually knew about what was going on at the farm. Maybe it was paranoia, but since the events witnessed by Robert Crawford had happened, he began to record his phone calls and document any events which he felt were strange. From his diary notes he mentioned a number of times that he felt that he was being followed, but never actually saw anyone. He also says that his house phone would ring a number of times every day, but nobody would speak... there would just be light breathing. Was this someone from the farm, or was it someone else entirely? Crawford would have his phone disconnected and would then rely completely on his iPhone, which few people had the number for. What you are about to hear is a telephone conversation which allegedly took place a few months ago. The audio file for this conversation was on a USB drive which had been posted in a padded envelope. We've taken the liberty of re-recording this conversation to protect those involved and to also keep the real name of the farm under wraps. There was also a written note enclosed which simply read "Seek out the Book of Aldaraia".After a little bit of digging regarding the book mentioned in the note, the Book of Aldaraia is also known as the Book of Soyga....or The Book That Kills. It's not known who actually wrote this book, but it was part of the extensive library of John Dee until his death in 1608. Legend has it that a medium by the name of Edward Kelley was used by John Dee to help translate the book, which was mostly in Latin, in 1582.Kelley offered John Dee the chance to speak to the Archangel Uriel to help him decode the most mysterious sections of the book, which are around 40,000 seemingly randomly distributed letters. Not satisfied with the secrets of magic, divination, spells, incantations, and details regarding demonology already discovered within the book, John Dee wanted the key to unlock the code within these characters. When he asked Kelley to instruct the Archangel Uriel to give up the code he refused, telling him that only the Archangel Michael could truly decode and translate the full potential of the book.... and that wasn't something that was going to happen. The contents were just too dangerous. So, what mysterious powers lay behind these layers of random letters? It's still unknown today, but John Dee devoted his entire life trying to crack this code and upon his death in 1608, the book went missing... until 1994. Where had it been? What was it used for, and what did it have to do with what went on at the farm? The book resides in the British Library to this day. Here is the phone conversation, make of it what you will...(iPhone rings and Robert Crawford answers.)Robert: Hello (short period of silence)...Hello...Laura: Is this Robert Crawford??Robert: Ermm..who's asking?Laura: My name is Laura Arden....I work at the Natural History Museum in London...in the Department of Medieval and Latter Antiquities...so sorry to call so late, but I was wondering if you could help me out with something?Robert: Sorry, but how did you get this number? Are you American??Laura: Canadian actually....ummm...well, a little research and access to some databases and I managed to find you. You're a really difficult guy to track down considering you're an author.Robert: Well, I prefer to keep as much of my life as private as possible. What is it you wanted again?Laura: I just needed to ask you a few questions about something that I think you may be able to help with......you can look me up online at the museum if you like....Robert: No, no,...there's no need for that. I just don't get many phone calls nowadays, that's all.Laura: So....do you think you could help me out??Robert: ..Sure, yes, I'll try my best....This isn't about a book signing is it??Laura: No, no, no....although I have read a couple of your books, but no....I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to help me get to the bottom of something that I found while I was on vacation...it may have something to do with you.Robert: I suppose so...but I'm not sure how much help I'm going to be, but fire awayLaura: Ok...bit of a strange question for starters, but do you have any interest in the occult...witchcraft...black magic...things like that?Robert: Well if you say you've read a few of my books then you'll know that I sometimes dabble in those topics....look, what's this about exactly, and how can this have anything to do with me??Laura: Well it's not just about something that I found, but more about the location it was found in....and I think you can give me some valuable information about this location.Robert: Ok, look it's late and I don't want to come across as being rude, but can you just get to the point please??Laura: Ok...fair enough.....Have you ever been to Manor Ridge Farm Mr Crawford??(a long silence)Laura: Hello??...Mr Crawford...Hello??...are you still there??Robert: Yeah..I'm still here....how do you know that name??Laura: Have you been there...or not Mr Crawford?Robert: Look, there's nothing I can help you with Laura...it's been lovely talking to you but I have things to...(Laura cuts in)Laura: (more forcefully now) HAVE YOU BEEN THERE OR NOT???Robert: ....yes...I was there around a year ago.Laura: Good...now we're getting somewhere. So what circumstance led you to Manor Ridge Farm??Robert: In all honesty...I had writers block while I was working my next book. I needed a change of scenery...something to snap me back in to focus. I found a cottage for rent on the farm and hired it. The different views, the atmosphere, the clean air...it was supposed to help but....well...it didn't.Laura: So what happened??Robert: Hold on...how do you even know I was there? Are you working with the police or something?Laura: Police???..no..it's..it's nothing like that. As I said..I was on vacation and found something.Robert: So why don't you enlighten me as to what you've found...and why were YOU up at that farm??Laura: I was on a week long hiking vacation in the Peak District. I planned to get as many of the trails under my belt as possible...same as you, take in the views, absorb the atmosphere...get away from the city. I'm not really someone who enjoys being in other people's back pockets if you know what I mean? I prefer my own company at times and this vacation was one that I was going to go on alone.Robert: So you came across the farm as a place to stay??Laura: Yes...but not because I'd organised it. Weather had turned bad, and it was getting late. I was literally in the middle of nowhere in the pouring rain and it was getting dark. I saw a farmhouse with lights on in the distance so I headed towards it. The owners told me that they didn't take in visitors...don't get me wrong, they weren't nasty...far from it, they were really helpful. They told me that Manor Ridge Farm had a cottage that they hired out, I should head there and see if they could help, so I did.Robert: So you make your way to the farm....then what?Laura: Well, I got to the main house and I saw a cottage opposite a barn further up the driveway, so, assuming that this was the place, I knocked on the door and was greeted by a woman...I'd say she was in her fifties...maybe sixties...had a patch covering one eye. She introduced herself as Gwen and seemed friendly enough. When I asked about the cottage she was more than happy to help, but something seemed off....I didn't know what it was at the time...but something just didn't seem right.Robert: Was there anyone else in the Farm House...a man maybe...or outside??Laura: I never saw anyone other than Gwen...anyway, she said that the cottage hadn't been let out for a while so was in a bit of a mess, but I was welcome to stay the night if I wanted. Well, there was no way that I was going to stay out in the rain overnight, so I jumped at the chance. She gave me the key and walked up to the cottage with me and quickly showed me around...that's when she started to make me feel uncomfortable.Robert: In what way? What did she do?Laura: She just suddenly said that she needed to go, and I was to stay in the cottage and not come out until morning. She said that many people had gone missing in the area because they didn't know the hills and the weather...it was just really creepy. Anyway, she just took off towards the barn and I thought that was strange because the weather was getting really bad...why not go back to the house?Robert: You didn't go back out there did you??Laura: No, not right away...I wanted to get out of my wet clothes, get changed and get warm. I had a few chocolate bars in my pack, but was really hungry so I started to hunt around to see if there were any cans of soup or something like that to eat...but there wasn't anything....so that's when I decided to go down to the farm house.Robert: I can't believe you went back out there...especially down to the house. If you've managed to track me down and link me to that place then surely you know something of what went on there...if not...why are you calling?Laura: I'm getting to that....so...I went down to the main house, and by this time it was dark, pouring with rain and the wind was really getting strong. As I got to the front door, I noticed it was wide open...so I stepped inside and called out for Gwen...but there was no answer...and then the smell hit me...a kind of blood-like metallic smell. I went into the kitchen and....well it looked like something had been torn to pieces. It was definitely an animal...but that was all I could make out. I began to feel sick and knew that I had to get out of there as quickly as possible...and that's when I saw the book on the floor.Robert: Book!!! What book?? You hung around because of a book??Laura: This wasn't any ordinary book Robert...from the markings on the front of the leather cover I knew it was old...so I grabbed it and ran for the front door. I took a look around, didn't see anyone so then ran for the cottage and locked myself inside.Robert: Why didn't you phone the police?? Why didn't you.....no signal....you didn't have a phone signal did you?Laura: No...my phone was the first thing I checked when I'd locked the front door. I was trapped there until the morning and there was no way that I was going back down to the main house after what I'd seen.Robert: Well at least you were safe for the time being...when I was there I wasn't so lucky. It was Bernie who came for me with a....well...that's in the past now. So what was so special about this book?Laura: At the Museum we have archives of extremely old, rare and precious books...bibles, authors first volumes, writings from kings and queens of the past...and books about the occult...the supernatural...black magic...witchcraft. Some of these books go back to at least the 1500's and their contents are still considered by some to be highly dangerous...but this book was more than just a book...it was a diary. A diary of generations of individuals who had been blessed by a specific bloodline.Robert: Blessed!!! I don't think you realise exactly what you were dealing with there Laura. What I saw at that farm challenged every single thing that I thought was pure and simple fiction...what I encountered, firsthand, wasn't something that was blessed...it was something that every man, woman and child should only encounter in their nightmares...but there it was...right in front of me...and it was being protected...coverted...aloud to exist.Laura: But yours was an accidental encounter Robert....if you hadn't discovered that cave system then none of this would have happened...(Robert cuts in)Robert: How do you know about the cave??? Who told you about that?? Is my name in that book??Laura: Yes, it is, everything that happened over the time period that you were at the farm was recorded, first by Bernie, then by Gwen. I'm assuming that you know what happened to Bernie after you left them both locked up in the tunnels under the barn?Robert: You make this sound like all of this was intentional...as if I wanted this to happen. Do you know what this whole experience did to me? It left me alone...I lost my partner...my publishing deal...my confidence...my life. I hardly leave the house, never socialise. I'll tell you what I think happened to Bernie shall I? Bernie was murdered by whatever that thing was that Gwen turned into...but if I say what I know it is...then it makes it real...and it can't be. It just can't be. When I was taken down into the tunnels by Bernie, at gunpoint might I add, I was never supposed to come back out...it was only down to chance and luck that I made it out alive....so...I ask you again...why do you need my help?Laura: I'm so sorry Robert....I never meant to make you feel that way. What you went through was horrific, but here we both are...armed with the experiences and facts that prove that what was only considered to be something from folklore...is in fact real...I can't quite believe that I'm actually saying this myself...but it's true. If I were to go to my head of department with this book and this story.... they'd have me committed...but you've seen these things...you're the only one who knows what Gwen really is....a Werewolf...a Lycanthrope...a shapeshifter.Robert: STOP!!! Stop....please....I can't help you....I've tried desperately for the last 12 months to try and forget what happened but it's impossible. If I had the chance I'd go back to the farm and simply kill Gwen and put an end to all of it....but I can't...I can't go back there.Laura: Listen...I get it...I really do, but there are far more people at risk now. As mad as all of this sounds it was Bernie that kept the lid on all of this by knowing when to take Gwen down to the tunnels to lock her away when the condition started to take over. Reading in the book, Bernie had documented that Gwen had escaped a number of times and attacked animals on the hills...she almost made it to the village one time....(Robert Interupts)Robert: I know!!!...Bernie explained all of this. He told me that it was him that used to take her down there to feed...to isolate her away from others...to protect her. But Bernie isn't there anymore...so who's locking her away now when she needs to feed...who's protecting her now?? Why haven't we had headlines in the newspapers of some rampant wild animal attacking people on the hills and in the villages?Laura: Because she's doing it herself. Gwen had written entries into the book stating that after she had woken from the last transformation in the caves, she found that she'd killed Bernie....ripped him apart. She managed to find her way out of the tunnels via the cave system that you found the entrance to up on the hillside. She had to wait until darkness to make her way back to the house where she cleaned herself up, opened the trap door in the barn, and took care of Bernie's body. Then she waited...waited to see if you, the police, or both would turn up...but nothing.Robert: Who was I supposed to tell? Who was going to believe a story like that...you?? It's only after you've read that book that you finally realise what's actually out there...but all you're basing your opinion on is my testimony and what's written down. All of this could be lie...you haven't actually seen it...have you?Laura: .....yes....I have.Robert: But you said that you locked yourself away in the cottage after you came from the house...did you go back out??Laura: Yes...I had to....Robert: What do you mean you had to??? What happened??Laura: I'd made sure that everything was locked up tight after what I'd seen in the farmhouse, and I'd bedded down in the living room on the couch. I grabbed the book I'd found and started to leaf through it.... I couldn't believe what I was reading, there were details of ancient ceremonies, symbols, potions and treatments that had been passed down from generation to generation over the span of hundreds and hundreds of years.... all with the same one goal: to rid the beast from within, to cure the condition. It seems that no one actually knows where this bloodline started, but in a passage from the late 1900's written by a man named Harold Thomas Anderson, he mentions a cave system in Romania where he was due to travel to find the "Primal". Whether this was a person or a creature isn't confirmed....and there are no other entries from this man in the book, but he was definitely part of the bloodline. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. So, I'm lying on the couch when I begin to hear something moving from outside of the rear of the cottage, as if someone was bumping into stuff and knocking it over.Robert: Did you see what what it was??Laura: Not at first no. I ran upstairs and looked out of one of the rear bedroom windows, but I couldn't see anything. I initially put it down to the wind and rain, until I heard a loud screaming sound. This wasn't the sound a human would make, it sounded animalistic...guttural...as if something was in terrible pain. It sounded as if it was coming from outside the front of the cottage this time, so I ran across the landing and into the master bedroom and peered out of the window....and I saw it....it was Gwen....she was naked, crawling across the floor of the barn trying to get to an opening in the floor....but as I watched I could see hair growing, slowly covering her body...joints bending in ways that seemed impossible....more screams pierced the air as the process continued....then it happened.Robert: What happened??Laura: She saw me, she looked straight at me.Robert: Oh my god....what did you do??Laura: At first, I was completely frozen to the spot. Both of our stares fixed at one another; mine terrified, hers furious, full of rage. Her eyes looked black, and her face was... it was changing... changing right in front of me. She then rose herself up onto all fours and started to walk towards the cottage. I've never felt fear like that in my life, watching something like that slowly walking over to the place that you hope will keep you safe, but knowing that it will never be a match for it.Robert: Jesus Laura....I can remember knives being in the kitchen. Did you manage to get hold of something to try and defend yourself with?Laura: Yes...one of the knives. I figured that she was either going to try and get through the front or back door, so I ran downstairs and pushed the large wooden dresser across the back door to try and buy me some time...then I went to the front door and looked out of the window. I couldn't see her, she was out there somewhere but I couldn't see her. Then something hit the back door and I heard glass shatter. I quickly closed the living room door and pushed the couch up against it, not that it would have provided much resistance against her, but it went quiet again.I stood up against the front door with tears starting to stream down my face. I was mentally broken....I couldn't believe the situation that I'd found myself in, and I couldn't see how I was going to get myself out of it. I couldn't call my mom and dad to tell them that I loved them...to hear their voices...to have that comfort...I was going to die here...and there wasn't anything that anyone could do to help me.Suddenly there was a huge bang at the front door, so powerful that the door frame moved. I pushed back at the door screaming for her to go away. Another bang came and it was clear that the door wasn't going to last long. I pushed as hard as I could and gripped the knife, readying myself to use it if I had to. Then another huge blow came against the door and it finally buckled. An arm, covered in grey/black hair came around the door and grabbed my wrist and pulled my arm outside....then I felt searing pain as teeth pierced my skin and bit down hard into my arm. I screamed again louder, and pulled as hard as I could to get my arm back inside the door but it was no use....this thing was so strong. A clawed hand reached inside the door against the frame to try and push the door open. I immediately raised the knife using my other arm and plunged it into the hand.I pulled it back out to strike again but a huge scream came from her and she let go of my arm and the door closed with me falling against it and onto the floor. I sat there, back up against the door waiting for her to smash into it again and finish the job off...but there was nothing. I plucked up the courage to look out of the window but she'd vanished....I had no idea where she'd gone.Robert: How bad was your arm??Laura: There were four deep pucture wounds and a few shallower ones. It looked worse than it actually was with all of the blood, but I needed to clean it up. I waited for what seemed like hours, but when I was pretty sure that she wasn't coming back I got hold of my back pack and my first aid kit. I used a towel from the kitchen to take care of most of the blood and then pushed the sofa back against the door. It was just a matter of a couple of hours before daylight and then I'd be gone...or so I thought.Robert: What do you mean "so you thought"....she didn't come back did she??Laura: No...well...not exactly. I watched the sunlight fill the cottage as morning broke and I wasn't going to hang around, so I grabbed my stuff, packed my bag and got ready to get the hell out. I figured I'd go out the back way and get across the fields as quickly as I could and try to make it to a road. Hopefully I could hitchhike to a town or village from there.....but then there was a knock at the front door....it was Gwen. She asked me to open the door. She assured me that nothing would happen....but also that we needed to talk....urgently.Robert: What did you do?? Did you let her in??Laura: I didn't have a choice. What was I going to do....stay in the cottage for the rest of my life? I opened the door, slowly at first, then wider. She could see that I had the knife in my hand and I told her that I would use again if I had to. She said there was no need....she wouldn't harm me. She reached out her hand....it was bandaged up now...and she asked for the book back. I handed it over and that's when she began to speak. She explained that the book had details of potions which could delay the effects of the condition. When her husband was around she never needed them, because he would take care of her when the urges came.It was her dog that she had killed in the farmhouse when I found all of the blood in the kitchen with the book. The hunger, as she called it, became so overwhelming that she couldn't control it and the remedy that she'd mixed was in the tunnels under the barn...that's where she was trying to get to when we saw each other. For years her and Bernie searched for a cure to stop her condition, and while she never told me how she'd become infected, she did tell me that the bloodlines stretched around the world....and all of the infected are looking for that illusive cure....and now so am I.Robert: What do you mean?? Why would you be helping her find a cure after what she did to you??Laura: Because her bite has now infected me....and I now need to find that cure....and you're going to help me.....and Gwen....Robert: What....are you mad?? Why the hell am I going to put myself at risk yet again to help you or Gwen!! She almost killed me, and you're asking me to.....I'm sorry Laura, but even though none of what happened was your fault, you're both on your own... (silence)... Laura... Laura are you still there? Do you understand what I'm saying to you???Laura: It's a nice part of the world you live in Robert....not many houses around....nice and quiet....Robert: What are you talking about?? How do you know where I live....are you threatening me?? I can leave here right now and you'll never find me.Laura: I don't think so Mr Crawford....why don't you take a look outside your window....you see that silver car across your driveway? Well I've been here since this call began, and I'm not leaving until you make a decision...the right decision. And also, don't think about trying to leave using the backdoor....because there's someone you may well remember who'll be waiting for you in your garden. On Thursday July 26th, 2018 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon will discuss the Mysterious Voynich Manuscript (Beinecke MS. 408) a late medieval herbal, alchemical and astrological book written in an unknown language and illustrated with pictures of plants and astronomical arrangements that are not of this world. Authorship was originally attributed to Roger Bacon (1214 - 1292) but carbon-dating placed the MS. in the early fifteenth century. John Dee and Edward Kelley have been suggested because of their similar Enochian language creation, but there is no proof of their involvement. The mysterious MS has fascinated both scholars and amateur researchers alike with solutions announced every year since 1943 when the U.S. Government code-breakers attempted to decipher it. A new solution was announced just a week before this broadcast and has already been discredited. The main reason most experts fail seems obvious to a Hermetic scholar. The Voynich MS was not written in cipher. It was written in a language and in an alphabet that has no analog on earth or in this earthly dimension. The key to finding the origin of the Voynich material might be found in another mysterious manuscript published in 1670. We will read this revelation as our contribution toward solving the mystery -- so put on your Indiana Jones fedora and listen in.

The Bohemian Emperor's menagerie manager meets a strange dog from the New World. Allison Thurman was raised on a diet of Monty Python, Star Wars, and In Search Of, and these have all influenced her fiction about unexplained historical events. She's currently working on her first novel about the Elizabethan alchemist Edward Kelley. She lives in a galaxy far, far away (well, the DC metro area) with too many books and not enough swords. Submission guidelines can be found at TallTaleTV.com ---- About Tall Tale TV ---- My name is Chris Herron, and I narrate audiobooks. In 2015, poor control of my diabetes left me legally blind for the better part of a year. The doctors predicted an 80% chance I would never see again, but I changed the way I was living and through sheer willpower beat the odds. During this time I couldn't read or write. Two things that I had been turning to for comfort since I was a small child. With the sheer amount of stress I was under, this was devastating. My wife took me by the arm, lead me into the local library, and read out titles of audiobooks to me. I chose the audiobook versions of books I had loved such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter and more. They brought my favorite stories to life in ways I never thought possible and helped me through the darkest time of my life. Once my vision recovered, I maintained a love for audiobooks. I decided I would turn my focus from being a writer to becoming a narrator. I devised Tall Tale TV as a way to help out all the amazing authors in the writing communities I had come to love before my ordeal. I created Tall Tale TV to help aspiring authors by providing them with a promotional audiobook video. A way to showcase their skills with the written word. They say the strongest form of advertisement is word of mouth, so I provide a video to a platform of readers to help get people talking. Help them spread the word. Happy holidays, everybody! What is more packed with holiday cheer than Enochian magic? In this episode, I am joined by Cliff from Enochian Today to discuss his extensive and in-depth exploration of Enochian magic. Our conversation briefly covers the history of Enochian magic and the partnership between John Dee and Edward Kelley, and then we dive deep into the evolution of the system and Cliff's work with gebofal. Gebofal is a 49-day ritual that works with complex tables found in the Liber Logaeth. Cliff explains how he worked with these tables, the mathematic structure of these tables, and the hierarchy of spirits that seem to be laid out in the Enochian heptarchy. This is complicated magic, and if this episode interests you at all, please be sure to check out Cliff's blog for an in-depth look at his process. Cliff has practiced ceremonial magic for about twenty years, and has been deeply involved in Enochian magic for about two years or so.

Say the words Magician, Occultist and Angel Magic and one name comes immediately to mind - Dr. John Dee. About as close as England has ever come to producing a real life Wizard, Dee is one of the most scrutinized, analyzed and obsessed over figures of the 16th century. Blazingly brilliant at Mathematics, Astronomy and Astrology in his own time, he is known mostly nowadays for a particular segment of his life. For less than a decade, Dee and a questionable figure by the name of Edward Kelley would converse with what they believed to be nothing less than Angels. Such activities have intrigued, astounded and confounded us to this Day. If there ever was a Titan of Magic, it is Dr. John Dee.

S2E7After departing France, Sept-Tours, and Philippe de Clermont, we feel road-weary -- but the initial reason for this trip was to go to Bohemia and retrieve Edward Kelley and Ashmole 782. The Queen DID give her orders, so off we go.We are met with a ruler who encompasses all of the deadly sins, Emperor Rudolf II. The machinations involved to soothe his cravings and get what Diana and Matthew need are draining, but our star-crossed lovers seem to believe it's worth it. Is it? Maybe. Probably. Anyway, that's what episode 7 of A Discovery of Witches is about, and our episode 7 review attempts to slog through all of the troublesome trials and tribulations with the Bishop-Clairmonts.Thanks to Kristen Shuck for sponsoring this episode, and to all, please enjoy...Full show notes: http://go.DaemonsDiscuss.com/S2E7Informational links:Season 2 Shout Out! -- tell us your thoughts on this episode, the actors, the sets, or the series as a whole! A four-hundred-year history of the development of alchemy in England that brings to light the evolution of the practice. Tracing the development of alchemy in England from the beginning of the fourteenth century to the end of the seventeenth, Jennifer M. Rampling illuminates the role of alchemical reading and experimental practice in the broader context of national and scientific history. Using new manuscript sources, she shows how practitioners like George Ripley, John Dee, and Edward Kelley, as well as many previously unknown alchemists, devised new practical approaches to alchemy while seeking the support of English monarchs. By reconstructing their alchemical ideas, practices, and disputes, Rampling reveals how English alchemy was continually reinvented over the space of four centuries, resulting in changes to the science itself. In so doing, The Experimental Fire The Experimental Fire: Inventing English Alchemy, 1300-1700 (University of Chicago Press, 2020) bridges the intellectual history of chemistry and the wider worlds of early modern patronage, medicine, and science. It’s unlikely today that if you were to question a scientist about their research that they would cite magic as one of their avenues of study. To one scientific pioneer, magic was just a part of his arsenal of tools for questioning and understanding anything and everything. So much so that he even sought the advice of angels to aid him in his quest to understand how the universe worked, even delving into demonology. As a royal advisor and metaphysicist the world was an unending portal of unexplored possibility, but some things should be left undiscovered, especially when they lead you not only toward the path of spiritual enlightenment but also toward the occult, danger, madness and the very real threat of execution. This time on Macabre London, we uncover the story of John Dee and his associate Edward Kelley.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Patreon——————————-If you like the podcast and would like it to continue then please support us on Patreon. Presenting a comprehensive overview of Dee's life and work, Louv examines his scientific achievements, intelligence and spy work, imperial strategizing, and Enochian magick, establishing a psychohistory of John Dee as a singular force and fundamental driver of Western history. In a time in which the world could use a little magic, we have the Enochian language. Originally thought to be the language by which Adam originally spoke - it was also the celestial language, the language of the angels; God's language. For centuries, it was believed that the Enochian language was lost forever. People had heard of such a thing, but, ultimately it was either legend, or simply lost to time. It was thought the closest we had to the language was Biblical Hebrew - that was until the 1500's when one John Dee and his colleague, Edward Kelley were supposedly chosen as prophets to learn the the lost language; the first since Enoch to get such a privilege. Over the years, again, it was thought that Dee's work was gone, as well as the illustrations from Kelley. A group known as the Golden Dawn took the reigns and continued their research into the Enochian language and, in turn, magick. Though, I don't want to give more than that away. What you need to know, is that a lot of magick beliefs spread from the Enochian mythos - Wicca draws from it, as well as tarot. It's incredibly fascinating to read about this lost language, and how it has evolved over the years, and how influential it is to millions who may not even be aware of it. On a personal note, I've been quite interest in different forms of witchcraft and magick for as long as I can remember. What I've learned as that these words, runes, spells, sigils, and so on, have the potential to be very powerful. A lot of it is about belief, a lot of it is about self-empowerment - and whether the magick itself is real, self-empowerment and belief are never bad things. But to learn more about the language of the angels, be sure to give the episode a listen. Scry so serious? The saga of John Dee continues in a massive second part of the episode. The second half of John Dee's life was even wilder than his first, scrying with Edward Kelley and writing down the angelic language. Flora continues an incredibly deep dive into the polymath's life, detailing his actions with Kelley, travels abroad, and his death. It's perhaps the most publicized part of his life. Countless esoteric and mystical pursuits have been inspired by the work he did in this period. David rounds out the misunderstood mathematician's life and discusses thoughts on his and Kelley's work. He also speaks to some out there theories on Dee's pursuits. Special thanks goes to author and historian Benjamin Woolley for joining to speak about many aspects of Dee's life and works. Dee-viously Dee-lightful history! Flora is back with the beginning of a mega episode all about John Dee! Conjurer, magus, sorcerer, astrologer - these are but a few things the 16th century polymath John Dee was called. History knows him as a smart man who chose an occult path. He cast horoscopes. Talked with angels. Practiced alchemy. Continually searched for the secrets of the universe through math and natural science. But history often paints with a harsh light. What was this enigmatic genius really like? Was he the sorcerer and mysterious advisor to Elizabeth I that he's portrayed as? Or has he been maligned, misunderstood, and misrepresented? David has hit the books to get to the real man behind the myth. In the first of 2 parts, the first half of this interesting man's life is covered. He also hits some very fascinating history, with such figures as Gerardus Mercator, Francis Drake, and more. Part 2 will cover the second half of Dee's life, including his occult practices and scrying with Edward Kelley. Grab your cross staff and rent a room for calculing, you'll be traipsing through some fun history on this episode of Blurry Photos! Today is the birthday of Edward Kelley, a close associate to John Dee. He was an example of this period where we see the merger of what we would call “real” science and the occult.
On this day in history, 1st August 1555, Sir Edward Kelley, apothecary, alchemist and medium, was born in Worcester. Kelley was a fascinating man. He worked with Dr John Dee and the men believed that they communicated with angels. Kelley also claimed that he was an alchemist and he wrote a treatise on the Philosopher's Stone. Find out more about Kelley and his work in today's talk from Claire Ridgway, founder of the Tudor Society. You can read Kelley's treatises at https://ia902704.us.archive.org/19/items/AlchemicalWritingsOfEdwardKelly1893/Alchemical-Writings-of-Edward-Kelly-1893.pdf Dr John Dee video - https://youtu.be/A5hy__pKZuQ You can find Claire at:https://www.theanneboleynfiles.comhttps://www.tudorsociety.comhttps://www.facebook.com/theanneboleynfiles/https://www.facebook.com/tudorsociety/https://twitter.com/AnneBoleynFileshttps://twitter.com/thetudorsocietyhttps://www.instagram.com/tudor.society/https://www.instagram.com/anneboleynfiles/

Today we talk about John Dee and Edward Kelley who, while probably on opium, stared at a black mirror for hours on end and scribbled down the supposed "language of the angels". Respect the grift.
Born on 13th July 1527 to Roland and Jane Dee, John Dee became an immensely influential figure within the Elizabethan world. If Dee had lived at a time other than the turbulent period that spanned the Tudor and Stuart monarchies in England, then it is very likely that we would now acknowledge him as one the greatest minds England ever produced. Dee’s peers acknowledged his skills as a philosopher, astronomer, scientist, cartographer, and mathematician and - further observed that he was as skilled in medicine as any other of the period. Dee’s pursuit of knowledge, in all forms and from all sources, was true to the great philosophical enquiries of antiquity, yet it went beyond the limits which others deemed appropriate in an age of superstition, during the prime period of the witch-hunts in continental Europe – with England on the cusp of its own pandemic of such witch-hunts. That Dee openly embraced the occult arts of Hermetic philosophy, Qabalah, alchemy, and angelic dialogue have been used to discredit his genius and legacy by both his peers and those that succeeded him. His work within the field of occult philosophy reveals however that that Dee was the prominent exponent of Hermeticism in England and it is to Dee that we can trace the origins of the Victorian revival of Hermetic magic in for of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley and the later work of Israel Regardie. Dee was also the major influence for the development of the Rosicrucian movement that in turn influenced early speculative Freemasonry and the founding of the United States of America.Join Ansir & Sophia as they discuss, as briefly as is possible for such an immense life and body of work, the genius of the man -- John Dee.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/InquirersintotheStrange)

Piecing together Dee’s fragmentary Spirit Diaries and scrying sessions, the author examines Enochian in precise detail and explains how the angels used Dee and Kelley as agents to establish a New World Order that they hoped would . . . eventually dominate the entire globe. “Presenting a comprehensive overview of Dee’s life and work, Louv examines his scientific achievements, intelligence and spy work, imperial strategizing, and Enochian magick, establishing a psychohistory of John Dee as a singular force and fundamental driver of Western history. Exploring Dee’s influence on Sir Francis Bacon, the development of modern science, seventeenth-century Rosicrucianism, the nineteenth-century occult revival, and twentieth-century occultists such as Jack Parsons, Aleister Crowley, and Anton LaVey, Louv shows how John Dee continues to impact science and the occult to this day.” As I told Jason during the interview, his book quickly became my favorite on the history of John Dee and Enochian magick. Jason’s work as both a scholar and practitioner allowed him to deliver some extraordinary insights that more fully illuminate the story of Dee and Kelley and enlarge the context of Enochian magick in the history of Western civilization. Louv deserves credit for delving so deeply into this work and sharing it with us. If you’re interested in this subject, Louv’s book deserves a place on your shelf. For the last twenty years, Jason Louv has dedicated himself to exploring, reporting on and teaching some of the world’s sacred traditions, especially Western magick and occultism. He currently teaches meditation and magick at his online education portal Magick.Me. Jason also interviews spiritual, technological and outsider thinkers weekly on the Ultraculture With Jason Louv podcast. You can find Jason online at http://jasonlouv.com. In the Chamber of Reflection, our membership website at https://chamberofreflection.com/, we continue this often-provocative interview with Jason Louv, delving even more deeply into his research on John Dee and Enochian magick.

On Thursday November 21st, 2013 The Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon will present a discussion on the "Enochian" legend and tradition in magick, Freemasonry, the Bible, and the various versions of the Book of Enoch itself. We will examine the elements and sources of the Masonic Enoch legend, the lost Ethiopian Book of Enoch and its unique description of the Fallen Angels and their attributions, the Pagan Solarism of Enoch's Angelic vision, and the special Enochian universe of John Dee and Edward Kelley. We will also compare the Book of Enoch to the ancient Sumerian/Babylonian myth of the Anunnaki, the Goetia, and Milton's Paradise Lost. So once again tune in and get Enochulated.

On Thursday February 14th, 2013 The Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon will interview the distinguished scholar and author Geoffrey James whose historical novel "Sorcerer" on Elizabethan magus John Dee has just been released. It should be noted that Geoffrey James is also the author of "Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee," and "Angel Magic', both factual and practical works on the magical art. Geoffrey brings a unique combination of talents to his novel: he is an historian, a magician and a masterful story teller. There have been other novels based on the magical adventures of Dr. Dee and Edward Kelley, and some written by magicians themselves, but "Sorcerer" is far and away the best yet. The characters are real, the setting is alive, the story is gripping and the tragedy is classic. If Geoffrey had opted for a more reflective, less contemporary style, he could have expanded the book to 500 pages without breaking a sweat, and produced a piece of literature. But how well would that have sold in today's market? What he did was equally artistic: he produced a modern version, fast paced, emotionally charged, best-seller in thriller style, and still managed to keep the mood, the tone and the depth of a classic. I would give it six stars if I could. So tune in and meet the best author of magical fiction since Dion Fortune -- (and Geoffrey tells me he likes Jack Vance ! Perhaps Edward Kelley was Vance's model for Cudgel? )

In his day, John Dee was famous for his contributions to science and for his role as adviser to Queen Elizabeth. Dee assembled the largest library England had ever seen and his mansion at Mortlake outside London was a popular place to visit for foreign emissaries and prominent thinkers. But Dee harbored a longing for more knowledge than science could offer. He wanted to know about the world and what lies beyond it. Dissatisfied with the limitations of contemporary wisdom, he turned to the spirit world for guidance. What he found was going to influence the Western Mystery tradition forever. In 1581 Dee contacts the angels for the first time. He soon has to accept that he is not a talented medium. Enter Edward Kelley, a much younger man of low social background and a nasty habit of necromancy. Kelley is excellent with the crystal ball and the two start a collaboration that will take them through countless angelic worlds. Parallel to their spiritual vision quests, Dee and Kelley sojourned through the European courts entertaining kings and emperors with their seances and alchemical experiments. Join us in this episode of Chasing Hermes and discover the two men behind the legendary Enochian angelic language
