It is Pascale Gibon, and I am thrilled to welcome you to episode 348 of the Everyday Life Balance Show. This month, we are diving deep into the concept of expansion, and I am here to help you cultivate that precious growth mindset. You see, when we expand our thinking, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and perspectives. But, when we contract and limit our thoughts, we retreat into our shells and dismiss any potential for change. Now, let us talk about one of the most powerful tools for creating positive change and living a conscious and intentional life: the power of choice. No matter what life throws our way, we always have the power to choose, and all of us can use it effectively. One thing is for sure. Sometimes, we make choices that do not serve us well, and other times, we make brilliant decisions that uplift our souls. But this episode is not about judging our choices as right or wrong. It is about remembering that we always have a choice. And we can use its power. Think about it: Suffering is a choice Happiness is a choice Change is a choice. Ask anyone who has changed their life positively, and most will tell you the same thing: “I was no longer willing to tolerate my situation, so I chose to change.” Choices lead to decisions. And decisions fuel commitment. When we make a truly committed decision, it is final - there is no turning back, only moving forward.  Now, I know that sometimes life can make us feel like we do not have any choice. But the truth is, we always do. Look at it this way: Every experience we go through is the fruit of our choices - like getting married, having children, choosing a particular career path or deciding where to live. If you are feeling stuck right now, take a moment to reflect on the fruitful decisions you made in the past. For instance, I decided to move from Paris to London, initially planning to stay for just a year. But I fell in love with the experience and decided to make London my home because I craved enriching experiences and loved travelling. What about you? What decisions have you made that have brought joy and growth to your life? This little exercise can remind you of your power to make successful choices in your life. I know it can be scary to make a choice sometimes. We worry about making the wrong decision or fear the grass might not be greener on the other side. But, here is a little secret: the most empowering thing we can do is to remember our past successes and the enriching experiences that resulted from our decisions. This little secret helps us make decisions from a position of strength rather than fear. I hope this episode inspires you to make wise choices if you feel stuck. Remember, the power of choice is always yours! If you enjoyed this episode, you might also love episode 326: “Committing to Personal Growth This Year.”  And if The Everyday Life Balance Show resonates with you, let us know! Until then, have a fabulous week filled with empowering choices. Beautiful souls, I am sending you all my love and light.

Andrew and I discuss how being aware of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can significantly impact our happiness and self-improvement. We explore various factors like chronotype and personality types that contribute to understanding oneself and the importance of seeking feedback from trusted individuals to uncover blind spots. In addition, Andrew and I share some of our struggles with procrastination and self-acceptance, shedding light on how internal conflicts can lead to self-sabotage. Andrew introduces the concept of separating actions from identity to help fulfill aspirational roles through positive behaviors. We also emphasize clearing mental clutter through techniques like "brain dumping" and digital mind mapping to free up mental space before concluding with a discussion on the value of intentional engagement with information and tasks, and the importance of slowing down to process data meaningfully. ______________________________________ Related Episodes: Andrew's Previous Appearance Interviewing Erik on the Show ______________________________________ Connect with Andrew: Podcast Twitter ______________________________________ Connect with Erik: LinkedIn  Facebook  Instagram  ______________________________________ This Podcast is Powered By: Descript Descript 101 Castmagic Ecamm Podpage Rodecaster Pro Top Productivity Books List ______________________________________ Make sure to support the show by checking out the sponsors! The doctor recommended he take up cycling and told him that he might never run again, especially in any sort of competitive fashion. In the face of this grim news, most athletes would give up hope. The Great Awakening vs. The Great Rest We are having the biggest awakening on the planet as we watch WWIII unfold right before our very eyes. This way is not like any other war we have ever seen but a war between good and evil and a war between love and fear. What we do know is that no shadow exists in direct sunlight and as the great people of this earth awaken their light gets brighter and brighter and the shadows of evil are being exposed that have suppressed this planet for centuries. The goal of this podcast is to gradually assist those who are struggling to find their light and see the truth. The goal is to help those find their inner knowing and guidance system and see the lies that have been told their whole life while doing with truth, love, and light. Thank You PATH Projects! PATH Projects continues to be a great supporter of this podcast! I'm grateful for their partnership and want to share more about their products that I've been loving because they so durable and comfortable. PATH Projects is an online-only retailer of high-quality running gear and apparel. That means there is no retail markup, making their products quite affordable. In particular, I've just started wearing their 3” Sykes shorts and they're a little different from the 5” Sykes shorts (you can see those in action here). The material is thinner and lighter, which is perfect in a performance short, and they're obviously shorter. I'm not sure if my wife thinks they're too scandalous or loves them, but I'm wearing them constantly. PATH uses new technical fabrics, like the Japanese fiber called Toray Primeflex, to create award-winning apparel for endurance athletes. In fact, their Brim shorts and Tahoe base liner won Runner's World's 2018 Gear of the Year award. And the Pyrinees hoodie was named one of the best six sweatshirts for running in the cold by Gear Patrol. You know you'll be wearing the best when you select PATH Projects!
