Many believers carry a quiet burden—the longing to see loved ones come to know Jesus. Whether it’s a family member, friend, or coworker, we recognize their need for hope, peace, and truth. Yet even with that desire, we can feel unsure, hesitant, or even inadequate when it comes to sharing our faith. We often think boldness means having the courage to say all the right words at the right time. We imagine bold faith as something loud, visible, and fearless. And when we don’t feel that way, we may begin to believe we’re falling short. But biblical boldness is not always about volume—it’s about faithfulness. In Philippians 1:27, Paul encourages believers to live in a way that is “worthy of the gospel of Christ.” This kind of boldness is seen not only in what we say, but in how we live. It shows up in our choices, our attitudes, and our responses to others. Boldness can look like extending kindness when others choose criticism. It can look like offering prayer when someone is hurting, even if it feels uncomfortable. It can look like choosing integrity in situations where compromise would be easier. These everyday actions reflect the heart of Christ and quietly point others toward Him. Sharing the gospel is important, and we should continue to pray for opportunities and courage to speak truth clearly. But we should not underestimate the power of a life that consistently reflects Jesus. Love, peace, humility, and grace are testimonies that others can see and experience firsthand. God uses both our words and our actions to reach others. When we take even small steps of obedience, He works through them in ways we may not immediately see. If you feel hesitant or unsure, you are not alone. Ask God for boldness—not just to speak, but to live in a way that reflects His love. Trust that He is already at work in the lives of the people around you, and that He can use your faithfulness to draw them closer to Him. Main Takeaways Many believers desire to share their faith but struggle with boldness. Boldness is not only about speaking—it is also about how we live. Living in a way that reflects Christ is a powerful witness to others. Small acts of obedience can have a lasting spiritual impact. God uses both our words and actions to reach those around us. Today’s Bible Verse Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel. In this episode of the Straight White American Jesus Sunday Interview, host Leah Payne speaks with award-winning journalist and historian Caleb Gayle about his acclaimed book Black Moses: A Saga of Ambition and the Fight for a Black State. Caleb Gayle is an award-winning journalist and professor at Northeastern University. He is the author of We Refuse to Forget: A True Story of Black Creeks, American Identity, and Power and a contributing writer at The New York Times Magazine. His work has also appeared in The Atlantic, TIME, The Guardian, Guernica, The New Republic, and The Boston Globe. Longlisted for the National Book Award for Nonfiction, named one of The Washington Post's Best Nonfiction Books of the Year, and selected as a New York Times Editors' Choice, Black Moses tells the remarkable story of Edward McCabe, a Black political leader who nearly succeeded in founding a Black-governed state in the Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the twentieth century. Together, Payne and Gayle explore McCabe's ambitious political vision, the racial politics of the American West, and the broader historical context of Reconstruction, westward expansion, and Indigenous displacement. The conversation also reflects on how forgotten stories like McCabe's challenge familiar narratives about American democracy, race, and political imagination. Scripture calls us to fix our eyes on Jesus—not people—because He alone is perfect and unchanging. This devotional reminds us that when our faith is rooted in Christ, it remains steady even when others fall short. Highlights Focus Matters: Faith falters when placed in people instead of Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). Human Leaders Fall: Even trusted spiritual leaders are imperfect and can fail. Follow Christ Alone: We are called to follow Jesus, not build our faith around individuals (Matthew 4:19). Guard Your Heart: Hiding God’s Word in our hearts protects us from stumbling (Psalm 119:11). Discernment is Key: Jesus calls us to recognize truth by the fruit people produce (Matthew 7:16-20). Unshakable Foundation: A faith rooted in God remains steady despite circumstances (Hebrews 12:28). Intersecting Faith & Life When leaders fall, it can feel disorienting and discouraging. But these moments are an opportunity to realign our focus. Jesus is the only perfect example, the only Savior who endured the cross, and the only one worthy of our complete trust. This episode is sponsored by Trinity Debt Management. Whether we're helping people pay off their unsecured debt or offering assistance to those behind in their mortgage payments. https://trinitycredit.org Full Transcript Below: Keep Keeping Your Eyes on Jesus By Lynette Kittle Bible Reading: “Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” - Hebrews 12:2 Recent and ongoing scandals involving pastors, churches, and ministries—leaders who fail and fall short in their service and devotion to God—have been devastating for many believers in Jesus Christ. This is especially true for those who closely followed these leaders, hanging on their every word, listening, trusting, and at times valuing what they said as more important than the Word of God itself. The exposure of immorality, misconduct, dishonesty, and deception takes a terrible toll on those who once placed unwavering faith in these men and women who positioned themselves as spokespersons for God. When these leaders’ sinful activities are uncovered, it rattles some followers to their spiritual cores. Faith begins to stumble when it has been placed more in people than in God. In many cases, it reveals that instead of focusing on the Lord, their eyes, ears, and attention were centered on the leaders they admired. Yet none of those leaders suffered and endured the cross or experienced separation from God on our behalf. When tempted, they were not willing to lay down their human desires and sinful impulses, much less their lives, for us. Called to Be Fishermen, Not Establish Our Own Kingdoms God never intended for us to be followers of men. We are called to be fishers of people, but followers of Christ alone. As Matthew 4:19 records: “‘Come, follow Me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’” He calls us to follow Him and to hide His Word in our hearts. When we do, it protects our hearts and minds from stumbling. It guards us against falling into unbelief because of another person’s sin. Psalm 119:11 reminds us of this safeguard: “I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.” The Apostle Paul further explains in 2 Corinthians 3:3 how God writes His Word on our hearts when we yield to Him: “You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” When we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, we do not collapse like a line of dominoes when trusted spiritual leaders fail. Our hearts may grieve over their sin, but our faith remains steady. Hebrews 12:28 reminds us that when our focus is on God, we stand on an unshakable foundation: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.” Jesus warned us to remain watchful. In Matthew 7:15, He cautions: “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” He also assures us that we can discern the difference between genuine followers and deceivers. As He explains in Matthew 7:16-20: “By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” Intersecting Faith & Life: Have you been devastated by a spiritual leader’s sin? Has your faith been shaken by their failings? If so, ask God to help redirect your focus on Him and fix your eyes on Jesus. 32: Chapter 32. Across the Iron Road The opening quote is another one in French. John Ruths has helped me out here. He says the translation is: "Spirit of rivalry and misunderstanding which more than once preserved the English army from defeat." The person quoted is General Jean-Baptiste Jourdan, a French officer in the revolution and Napoleonic Wars. The backhanded compliment towards their historical enemy, the English, is both funny and interesting. Basically implying that an army where there is a little chaos and dissent can have an advantage. During the last chapter, Pipkin excused himself because he found the story of the Black Rabbit too frightening. Because he excused himself he was able to spot the Fox approaching them at the end of the Chapter. This chapter opens with an explanation of how rare encounters between rabbits and foxes are. The only hope a fox has is to sneak up on them downwind. So Pipkins spotting this fox is very lucky. Hazel also realises that Fiver probably used Pipkin's fear as an excuse to act as a sentry. Yet again his instincts preserve the group. Hazel sensibly observes the Fox, while planning what to do next. Suddenly a rabbit pushes past him out into the open. Fiver says it was Bigwig, who they then watch deliberately draw the fox away from the group by pretending to limp away from them. This was completely unnecessary and Hazel feels very angry. As Bigwig and the Fox disappear into undergrowth, they hear the squeal of a rabbit and immediately conclude that Bigwig has been killed by it. Suddenly he reappears and runs towards them fast. He is unharmed. A very angry Hazel begins to round on Bigwig before Fiver points out that the group are very stressed and need to get away. Hazel takes his advice. They cross the road into more open farmland beyond, where they make good progress. As soon as they stop, Hazel has a conversation with Bigwig. Hazel tells Bigwig how angry he is and asks him to explain himself. Bigwig says that he was feeling tense, though the source of his tension is kept from the reader for now, and felt he had to do something such as run a risk. And it worked. He explains the rabbit that cried out by saying that, as he made away from the fox, he bumped into a group of large rabbits, who tried to stop him going any further. As he broke free he heard squealing and concluded that the Fox must have got one of them. This is the death of Mallow, member of the Efrafan Owsla, that we learn about in chapter 37. For Bigwig had bumped into a wide Patrol. How much more luck are the rabbits of Watership Down going to have to rely on? First they narrowly avoid an encounter with a fox, then that same Fox saves them from an Efrafan Wide-Patrol that was tracking them. And that only happens because one of the group does something stupid. Maybe they ARE under the protection of Frith? Silver comes up to Bigwig and Hazel to say that he's realised are closer to Efrafa than he thought. They need to go. Hazel says he wants to skirt around Efrafa and cross the Iron Road. This next part of the journey takes place during a moonlit night, and Adams embellishes it's description with the sounds downland Birds that they Encounter during it. Eventually, as morning approaches, Silver thinks they are near the Iron Road. Here, rather than being at the top of a bank it is in a cutting. They cross it and rest in the field beyond where they are met by Kehaar. They are exhausted but he warns them that another Wide-Patrol is tracking them and they need to go immediately. Again, having aerial reconnaissance proves crucial for the group. They take cover among some trees. Kehaar says that they moved just in time, as the Wide Patrol turned back as it reached the Iron Road. He keeps watch as the rabbits sleep and the day grows hot. 32.3 Next Episode Next time the rabbits reach the River Test, where they have an idea...and Bigwig goes to Efrafa

Following Jesus often begins with small, daily choices that require us to set aside our own desires in order to serve others. These moments can appear ordinary—helping someone in need, offering encouragement, or sacrificing our time for those we love. Yet these everyday acts reflect something deeply spiritual: the practice of “dying to self.” In 1 Corinthians 15:31, the Apostle Paul wrote that he “dies daily.” Paul understood that living for Christ requires a continual surrender of our own ambitions, preferences, and comforts. The Christian life isn’t about pursuing self-centered goals; it’s about allowing Christ’s character to shape our actions. Jesus Himself modeled this perfectly. Though He was fully God, He chose to live in humility and dependence on the Father. He spent time in prayer, sought God’s will, and dedicated His life to serving others. As Mark 10:45 reminds us, Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve. Imitating Christ means learning to follow that same pattern. It may involve sacrificing our time, choosing patience when we feel frustrated, or putting someone else’s needs ahead of our own. These choices are not always easy. Our natural instincts often push us toward comfort and self-interest. But the good news is that we are not expected to live this way through our own strength. God has given believers the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us. As we remain connected to Christ, the Spirit produces qualities like love, patience, kindness, and self-control in our lives. When we surrender our desires and follow Christ’s example, we discover something surprising: true joy often grows from a life of selfless service. What may initially feel like sacrifice becomes a pathway to deeper purpose and fulfillment. Every day presents new opportunities to reflect Christ’s love. As we choose humility, service, and obedience, we grow into people who more clearly mirror the heart of Jesus. Main Takeaways The Christian life involves daily surrender and “dying to self.” Jesus modeled humility, obedience, and service during His life on earth. Imitating Christ often happens through small acts of sacrifice and love. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live selflessly. Serving others reflects the character and love of Christ. Today’s Bible Verse “I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily” (1 Corinthians 15:31, NASB). No matter how messy or complicated our story may feel, God is the one who begins, sustains, and completes the work within us. Even in seasons of wandering, failure, or doubt, His grace remains active—reshaping our hearts and drawing us closer to Him. This devotional highlights the powerful truth that we are continually being transformed, and God is faithful to finish what He started. Highlights God Initiates Growth: Our transformation begins with God, not our own efforts (Philippians 1:6). Jesus Rescues: We cannot save ourselves—Christ is the one who pulls us out of sin and restores us. Messy Testimonies Matter: Faith journeys aren’t always clean or simple, but God is still writing the story (Hebrews 12:2). God’s Faithfulness: Even when we fall short, He remains constant and committed (2 Timothy 2:13). Sanctification is Ongoing: Spiritual growth happens over time through Scripture, prayer, and obedience. Renewed Mindset: The Holy Spirit transforms our thinking, helping us focus on eternal priorities. Progress Over Perfection: God is continually shaping us into Christ’s image, step by step. Intersecting Faith & Life It’s easy to become discouraged when your spiritual growth doesn’t look the way you expected. But God never asked for instant perfection—He invites you into a process. Every step of obedience, every moment in Scripture, and every prayer contributes to the work He is doing in your life. This episode is sponsored by Trinity Debt Management. A new friend recently asked me, “Emily… how long have you known the Lord?”I wanted to be as concise as possible but also transparent. I explained that I have been coming to grips recently that I was most likely a false convert when I was a teen into my early 20s and didn’t truly start following Christ until the summer after I graduated college. It’s the only way I can seem to make sense of the mess I lived in for six years after my profession of faith, after responding to an altar call at a youth conference. As I walked the aisle at that church, I responded to the news that Jesus died for my sins to be forgiven then eventually ran right back into the same ditch like a dumb sheep thinking I could rely on my own works and not Christ’s finished work of the cross, and God allowed me to fail, fall, and create a home in my pit of self-righteousness and sin for six years. But thanks be to God, that wasn’t the end of my story- the Lord didn’t leave me in that pit because one day, I was rescued. We must first remember that we cannot rescue ourselves out of a pit of sin- Jesus is the Great Shepherd who rescues His sheep. It is God who begins the work in our hearts, turning them from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh, and the longer we walk with Him, the more He will continue to mold our hearts. I don’t believe all our testimonies of coming to faith in Christ can be packaged up into a nice little box with a bow. It’s because we aren’t the author of the story- our Sovereign Lord is the author and finisher, or perfecter, of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Scripture tells us that He is faithful to complete that work that He began in us: “…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6, NIV). Intersecting Faith & Life:You may also have a messy and complicated testimony and cannot fully explain all of what you think the Lord was doing in your heart and when, but I can tell you that even when you have been faithless, God has been incredibly faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). Even when I’m extremely dumb, hard-headed, and rebellious, He is wise, patient, and perfect on my behalf. He doesn’t give up on His children! And just as God is sovereign in salvation, He is also sovereign in our sanctification as we learn to partner with Him in our growth in Christ. He is the one who is in charge of seeing us mature on our walk with Him. The same grace that saved us is the very same grace that keeps us and molds us into the image of Christ, each new day. We will never be perfect this side of heaven, which is why we rest in the finished work of the cross of Christ, but we should be walking in holiness little by little each passing day. One way this occurs in our lives is through studying the scriptures and other spiritual disciplines such as prayer, serving others, and consistent discipleship and evangelism. The Spirit of God guides us into all truth and convicts our hearts of sin. The more we study the Bible and exercise spiritual discipline, the more the Holy Spirit renews our minds. This renewal of the mind helps us to think on eternal matters, and soon, worldly thinking and fleshly desires become less of a temptation for us the longer we walk with the Lord. Our behavior and attitude begin to change, and God gives us a desire to love, obey, and serve Him with fervor! From the moment of your conversion, you became God’s work-in-progress, and the greatest news of all is that He doesn’t grow weary, stressed, or exhausted with you. He will complete the work He began in you! Thursday March 19, 2026V Week Of LentToday's readings move us from stubborn resistance to Spirit-filled freedom and restored vision. In Exodus 7:25–8:19, plague after plague confronts Pharaoh, yet his heart remains hard. Even when relief comes, repentance does not follow. It's a sobering picture of how easily we can want God's help without truly wanting God Himself. In 2 Corinthians 3:7–18, Paul contrasts the fading glory of the old covenant with the surpassing, lasting glory of the new. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. As we turn to the Lord, the veil is removed, and we are transformed—beholding His glory and becoming more like Him.And in Mark 10:46–52, blind Bartimaeus cries out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Though others try to silence him, he persists—and Jesus stops. His faith leads to sight, and he follows Jesus on the way. This episode invites us to move beyond hardened resistance, to live in the freedom of the Spirit, and to cry out to Jesus with bold, persistent faith—trusting Him to open our eyes and lead us forward.

Voice of Choice (Season 6 | Episode 230) with Kim DeYoung [TESSA] In this episode of the Open Nester Podcast, we engage with Kim DeYoung, a choice coach and author, who shares her insights on navigating life transitions in the open nester phase. As we explore the themes of vibrant health, relationships, and self-discovery, Kim illustrates how redefining our perspectives on aging can lead to a life full of possibilities. She emphasizes the transformation from being “empty nesters” to “open nesters,” highlighting a newfound freedom to seek new adventures and experiences as children leave home. Kim DeYoung Voice of Choice (Season 6 | Episode 230) We delve into the concept of choice, focusing on Kim’s philosophy and methodologies surrounding decision-making. With her own rich life experiences as a newly remarried mother of three young adults, Kim has developed a unique framework that encourages individuals to become more intentional in their choices. She discusses her journey of writing “The Book of Choice,” which blossomed from her decade-long dedication to understanding how choices can shape our lives. The book offers practical tools, including a technique known as choice mapping, guiding readers to explore the depth of their decisions. 1:10  The Power of Choice 5:18  Navigating Relationships with Intention 9:50  Supporting Our Children's Choices 11:58  The Art of Choice Mapping 14:27 Balancing Risk and Reward 17:21  Parenting Without an Agenda 34:32  The Book of Choice 36:41  Reflecting on Our Choices Through a thought-provoking conversation, we touch upon the nuances of fostering deeper relationships with family. Kim shares personal anecdotes about guiding her children through their own decision-making processes, emphasizing the importance of cultivating autonomy. This aspect of her coaching methodology taps into the innate courage required to embrace risk and lean into uncertainty, especially for those in the late 50s and 60s who are exploring new chapters in their lives. We further reflect on the dynamics of modern parenting and intergenerational relationships; Kim offers guidance on allowing grown children to experience their choices without parental attachment to outcomes. The dialogue showcases the profound impact that curiosity and compassionate inquiry can have on our relationships, shifting the focus from control to understanding. Kim believes in the power of asking intentional questions to encourage her children and clients to unravel their desires and aspirations. Throughout the episode, we tackle the complexities of risk and the idea of stepping into the unknown. Kim gives practical examples of how one can innovate their life path while grounding decisions in self-awareness and authentic values. Listeners are encouraged to take small yet significant steps toward realizing their passions, whether it's dating after divorce or exploring new career options—a testament to the idea that life is about trial and error and continuous discovery. To conclude our conversation, Kim invites everyone to connect with her through her vibrant presence on social media and to look out for her book, which serves as a comprehensive guide to navigating choices across various life stages. We hope this episode inspires you to embrace your open-nester journey with an open heart and a curious mind, reminding you that every choice holds the potential for remarkable growth and fulfillment. A Prayer to Help You Prune Your Spiritual Branches This Lenten Season

Lent is often associated with giving something up for a short period of time—chocolate, social media, or another personal habit. While these practices can be helpful, the deeper purpose of Lent goes far beyond temporary sacrifice. It is an invitation to examine our hearts and allow God to reshape us. In John 15, Jesus describes Himself as the true vine and God the Father as the gardener. Every branch connected to the vine is carefully tended. Branches that do not bear fruit are removed, while fruitful branches are pruned so they can grow even stronger and produce more. Pruning is not comfortable. In gardening, it involves cutting away what is unnecessary so that the plant can flourish. Spiritually, pruning can look similar. God gently reveals attitudes, habits, or priorities that may be preventing us from growing closer to Him. Sometimes those things are obvious sins that need to be removed. Other times they may be distractions or patterns that slowly pull our focus away from Christ. Even good activities can become misplaced priorities if they keep us from remaining connected to the vine. Lent invites us to slow down and reflect. It encourages us to sit quietly before God and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what needs to change. This season is not about earning God’s approval—it’s about allowing Him to shape our hearts so we can bear the fruit of His Spirit. As we remain connected to Christ, the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control begins to grow in our lives. These qualities are not produced through willpower alone but through our ongoing relationship with Jesus. When we allow God to prune our hearts, the result is not loss—it is deeper growth, greater freedom, and a life that reflects His character more clearly. Main Takeaways Lent invites believers to examine their hearts and spiritual habits. God, the gardener, prunes our lives so we can grow and bear more fruit. Spiritual pruning may involve removing sinful habits or unhealthy priorities. Remaining connected to Christ allows the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us. The goal of Lent is deeper transformation, not temporary sacrifice. Today’s Bible Verse “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” - John 15:1-4 (NIV) Your Daily Prayer Prayer excerpt for listeners: “Lord, help me remain connected to You and allow Your Spirit to shape my heart.” Listen to the full prayer here. Peter Leithart, Jeff Meyers, James Bejon, and Alastair Roberts kick off a new series on the book of Malachi, beginning with a wide-angle look at the restoration era in which Malachi prophesied. Rather than treating this period as a mere gap between covenants - a so-called "intertestamental" silence - the team argues it represents a distinct and dynamic phase of covenant history, with its own new arrangements for the priesthood, the temple, the city of Jerusalem, and Israel's relationship to the Gentile nations. The conversation ranges from Ezra and Nehemiah's narrative logic to the dating of Malachi, the myth of 400 years of divine silence, and the ways Malachi's concerns anticipate the New Testament world Jesus enters. "Be strong and courageous," the Lord tells Joshua, promising to be with him every step of the way as he leads God's people into the land promised to them. But isn't it remarkable where the first steps into this new chapter begin? They turn up not in a grand palace or temple, but in the home of Rahab, a prostitute in Jericho. Through two spies, God's presence arrives in this unlikely house, revealing that his purposes and his love are never restricted by our expectations. The scarlet thread of redemption winds its way through Rahab's life, and it changes everything—not only for her, but for her entire family. That same thread, the saving work of God, is woven into our stories as well. Rahab, once an outsider, becomes a direct ancestor to Jesus—Yeshua, the greater Joshua—showing us that God's love claims even the most unexpected of souls and the most overlooked of homes. Through Rahab, we are reminded that God makes a priority of us. He pursues us, steps into our ordinary lives, and takes possession of hearts, families, and homes. He is not waiting for perfect conditions or perfect people. He invades this world with salvation, making his gospel known, bringing redemption to the least likely and the most broken. If he made Rahab a priority, then he has made you a priority, too. So let us draw strength from his love, and let us be courageous. God is with us every moment, every step, enabling us to lay claim to what is ours in him. Let's live today in the light of this good news: that the God who pursues us has come, and his redeeming work—woven through the pages of our lives—makes all things new. That's a prayer for my own soul, for my family, for my wife, my daughters, my son, and for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

Share a commentStart with the mind and everything else follows. We explore Paul's surprising claim that love can be learned and that sensible thinking is the backbone of a faithful life, especially for younger wives and mothers navigating covenant commitments, cultural pressure, and daily fatigue. Rather than promising quick fixes, we offer a grounded path where affection grows through practiced friendship and small acts of service that retrain the heart. We begin with the first pair of virtues from Titus: loving a husband and loving children. Paul uses the language of friendship to describe marital love, which is shocking and freeing: affection isn't a lightning strike; it's a craft. That frame makes sense of arranged marriages in the first century and speaks to modern homes where busyness and resentment compete for oxygen. Marriage, as we see it, is a school of holiness, not a consumer contract. Two sinners share a roof, and kids bring their own storms. The gospel doesn't erase friction; it supplies new power to respond with patience, humility, and steady care. Then we turn to reputation in the world: be sensible and pure. Purity here is not about shame; it's about wisdom, dignity, and a witness that points beyond ourselves. In a culture that monetizes attention, modesty becomes a quiet act of courage. We talk candidly about distractions in worship, the role of older women as mentors who translate principle into practice, and how fathers and husbands can offer gentle, honoring counsel. Most of all, grace runs through the whole conversation: even if your past wasn't pure, you can build a new reputation beginning now. Sensible thinking, Spirit-led obedience, and daily habits of love create a life that shines with conviction and warmth. If this conversation encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review so others can find it. Wednesday March 18, 2026V Week of LentToday's readings reveal the contrast between resistance and surrender, law and life, and control and childlike trust. In Exodus 7:8–24, God displays His power through signs and wonders before Pharaoh, yet his heart remains hard. Even when confronted with undeniable truth, Pharaoh refuses to yield. It's a sobering reminder that repeated resistance can dull our responsiveness to God's voice. In 2 Corinthians 2:14–3:6, Paul celebrates the triumph of Christ, describing believers as the aroma of His victory. Our lives carry the fragrance of the gospel—either life to those who receive it or a reminder of truth to those who resist it. This new covenant is not written on stone, but on hearts, brought to life by the Spirit who gives freedom. And in Mark 10:1–16, Jesus teaches about covenant faithfulness and then welcomes children, affirming that the kingdom of God belongs to those who receive it like a child. While adults debate and defend, children simply come—trusting, open, and dependent. This episode invites us to soften our hearts, live as carriers of Christ's life-giving presence, and approach God not with resistance—but with humble, childlike faith.

If you've ever wondered whether Spirit is actually listening, this episode is your answer! Sarah and Jane are back with the fourth installment of the beloved Monarch series, and it might just be the most magical one yet. Listener stories pour in from all corners: a song that played at exactly the right moment, a turtle who showed up in a sealed garage the morning after a funeral, a Greyhound bus that keeps appearing on the highway, oracle cards that seemed to write themselves, and a bunny sign that crossed timelines. These are real people with REAL stories. And heck yeah, Spirit is fancy! If you'd like to see pictures that are related to these stories, please visit Medium Curious instagram or MediumCurious.com  *More Monarch magic would come to life with your help - can you please share, comment, and download. We truly love hearing from you — wanna share your sign with us? What You'll Hear in This Episode Jenny's Story — Her dad in Spirit hijacks her music app with the exact lyric she needed to hear — not once, but twice, years apart Scott's Story — A medium delivers a message about a bunny before the sign appears — and then it shows up in spades on his hardest day Nicole's Story — Grieving after letting her dog Ella go, she pulls three oracle cards that say: exactly what she needs to hear. Sarah Jane's Story — A Greyhound bus becomes one of the most unexpectedly specific and persistent signs from her person in Spirit. Kisa's Story — Her son Cole, who passed unexpectedly, sends a turtle running out of a garage that hadn't been opened in a month — and then keeps sending more turtles and other magic Marisa's Story — A talented artist and Clair Club member shares how her artwork was being negotiated from the other side Key Takeaways Signs don't follow your timeline — they follow Spirit's. Multiple stories in this episode involve messages that were delivered before the moment they were needed, pointing to the idea that Spirit operates outside of linear time. The specificity of a sign is the message. A golf ball in an industrial park. A Greyhound bus. A turtle in a closed garage. Spirit isn't subtle~! You don't have to be a medium to receive. Jenny, Scott, Nicole, Sarah Jane, Kisa, Marisa — none of them set out to be "psychic." They were just open and signs found them. Grief and magic can live in the same place. As Scott's grandmother said in a private session with Jane: he's not not grieving — he's living, living, living. So stunning! Curiosity is the channel. The people in these stories weren't stomping their feet and asking.....they were paying attention and collaborating with the universe.  "When you get a sign like that, it just changes everything for that day. It really does the trick." — Sarah, on Scott's bunny sign "Not not grieving — living, living, living." — Scott's grandmother, via Jane, on how Scott is moving through loss "Once you're tuning into this material, the material is all here for you." — Jane Marisa White's Website: https://www.marisaswhite.com/ Trust falll!  Scott Darlington's Substack: https://substack.com/@mescottyd Website: https://www.mediumcurious.com Join Clair Club:  https://www.mediumcurious.com/digital-products-2-1 Explore the Intuition & Mediumship Course: https://www.mediumcurious.com Book a reading with Sarah Rathke https://www.sarahrathke.com/ Book a reading with Jane Morgan https://www.janemorganmedium.com/ Explore Jane's New Higher Calling Cohort https://www.janemorganmedium.com/higher-calling Jane's Substack: https://janemorgan.substack.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mediumcuriouspod/

Phil Robertson had a surprising way of settling arguments with his boys when they got into trouble, and the guys dig into a bigger conversation about why so many men today struggle to lead their families. Turning to Genesis, the guys examine the roles given to men and women—roles humanity has wrestled with since the beginning and that modern culture only seems to complicate further. Zach helps explain how believers can test the spirits and recognize truth through Scripture and the fruit of the Spirit. This week, I'm back with the team to talk about the importance of pausing to pray and seek God's direction as Christians, before we publicly respond to things online, or create content for public consumption that dishonors others. We're living in a time where everyone feels pressure to react quickly, share every opinion, and defend every point of view. But as believers, we are not called to move at the speed of society. We are called to move in step with the Spirit. And sometimes that means being quiet long enough to pray, examine our hearts, and ask whether what we're about to say is actually producing the kind of unity Jesus prayed for.If you've felt grieved by the division online within the Christian body, or even if you've been trusted with your own platform and wondered, “Do I need to respond to everything?” or “How do I stand firm without sowing division?” I pray this episode reminds you—not every moment needs your reaction, but every moment does require a thoughtful response in love.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Psalms 1 & 2 E4 — The New Testament authors make both subtle and direct claims to Jesus' divinity, almost exclusively by referencing Israel's Scriptures. In Psalm 2, one of the most quoted passages from the Hebrew Bible, Yahweh responds to the conspiring, violent nations by installing a king (whom he calls his Son) in Israel. Jesus and the apostles frequently use Psalm 2 language to describe Jesus' divine identity and unique relationship to God the Father. In this episode, Jon and Tim explore these references in Jesus' baptism, transfiguration, and resurrection, while also considering how the Son of God shares his royal identity with his followers.
