EMFs are invisible areas of energy, often referred to as radiation. You cannot block the magnetic field of penetration from EMFs to our bodies. Studies show that EMFs will increase the risks of brain cancer and other cancers as well. Even though there is some controversy on the studies, Dr. Kedar personally believes that EMF radiation will increase the risk of cancer. Also, EMF radiation can induce diabetes-like symptoms. There are loads of effects that no one can deny from EMF radiation. EMFs are found in wi-fi signals and our cell phones. [10:10] Differences between EMF Radiation Based On Generation Recent generations will have more acute damage from EMF radiation. Even low exposure to EMF from mobile phones may cause health problems. There are many aspects of health that are affected by EMF radiation. For instance, it can cause damage to biological tissues by inducing changes. Shielding EMF radiation has no value in Dr. Kedar’s opinion. In fact, it can be counterproductive. Instead, focus on how you can protect your body from the inside. [18:55] EMF Radiation Can Reduce Capacity of DNA Repair If you are exposed to EMF radiation, then you generate lots of free radicals. Antioxidant enzymes are reduced with EMF radiation. Inflammation will increase with exposure. EMF radiation increases the level of oxidated stress and chronic inflammation. These two cellular deficits are involved in all human chronic diseases. [21:50] How We Can Protect Our Tissues To reduce oxidated stress, your body needs two things: Increased antioxidant enzymes Increased antioxidant compounds You can increase antioxidant levels by activation of Nrf2. If you cannot activate Nrf2, you cannot increase antioxidant enzymes. You can increase Nrf2 through supplements and diet. It’s important to include collagen via organ meats, supplements, and bone broth. Methionine is commonly found in muscle meat. Glycine is found in connective tissue and organ meat. Methionine is a carrier of methyl groups, when you have too much methionine it uses up your bodies glycine to buffer up the methyl groups. This will mess up your biochemistry. Glycine balances methionine and helps the amino acid ratio. On the other hand, the liver is a is a storage organ for many important nutrients (vitamins A, D, E, K, B12 and folic acid, and minerals such as copper and iron). These nutrients provide the body with some of the tools it needs to get rid of toxins. Ben Carnivore Lab Work Notes: BUN went up moving more protein through my kidneys Blood Urea Nitrogen and Creatinine these are byproducts of different functions in the body BUN/CREATININE ratio went up Albumin protein went up AST ALT went down Ferritin went up but this can be an issue if there’s oxidized fats in the body. It’s important to look at other oxidative stress markers. C-Reactive protein went down more than 50% (inflammation in the blood vessels) Homocysteine dropped vascular and brain inflammation Cholesterol and LDL’s went up. The body is clearing the system with cholesterols, cholesterol is a band aid, a healer. This shows up with inflammatory markers coming down. Cholesterol makes hormones, cells, and gives the cell membrane what it wants. Inflammation markers all dropped but all particles went up. The oxidative component rules. I’m using cholesterol as an energy source therefore I have more particles that are shuttling more cholesterol. Cholesterol becomes a major fuel source, makes sense. No two people respond to carbs the same; that’s why a CGM is useful. [31:05] The Effects of Cortisol On Glucose Our perception of stress effects our glucose levels. Stress will raise your glucose. It’s good to be aware of your stress levels throughout the day. It’s difficult to know whether or not we are stressed. You cannot hide the stress from your body even if your brain doesn’t think you are stressed. If you’re getting a glucose surge, then try to add a meditation practice to your day. [34:25] About The Dawn Phenomenon First thing in the morning, glucose will rise on its own. In order to wake up from sleep, our body will release cortisol and other hormones. These hormones will have an impact on our bodies. This effect is more pronounced in someone who has diabetes. Evidence suggests that a very healthy person will not have much of a dawn effect. In someone who has perfect insulin sensitivity, then the body will compensate for the glucose surge. It’s normal not to see a dawn effect. [36:10] Optimal Glucose Ranges If you have a fasting glucose of below 100, you’re considered normal. If you are 100 – 125, you are considered prediabetic. If you are 126 and above, you are considered diabetic. If you’re below 100 in the morning, then you’re okay. After a considerable carb-rich meal and you stay below 140, then you’re fine. However, Dr. Casey says these numbers are way too lenient. If you look at the research, even in the “normal” range risk of all diseases increases above 70. Some research suggests that the lower your fasting glucose is, the risk for mortality goes up. This does not entirely convince dr. Casey. Low fasting glucose needs to be studied better. [46:25] Getting Your Own CGM For an average person, their doctor will not give them a CGM. When you become a Level customer, you will get an evaluation from a doctor to use a CGM. [09:55] Get Clear On Your ‘Why’ For Jimmy, he is excited about health and low carb, especially because it can change people’s lives. Put your focus on something. If you have kids, then they are your “why.” If you care about yourself, that can be your “why.” Jimmy wants to pay it forward for the gift that he is given. He loves to share education, encouragement, and motivation for others. [12:50] Issues With Keto There are people who are taking advantage of the keto trend. Make sure that the people you listen to do not have an agenda. Jimmy doesn’t make money from his rants. He isn’t trying to make money; he’s trying to spread information. Look for the people that want to educate people genuinely. There are so many shysters in the keto world. Keto isn’t about profitability; it’s about educating. [17:45] How To Find The Truth About Keto If you listen to a show that has conflicting information, evaluate it within your context. For instance, the big debate is more protein or more fat for keto? In this situation, test both and see what works best for you. Nutritional health is not black and white. You have to test and see what works. If you’re going to test high fat, do it for a month. Pay attention to how you feel. Are you finding that your brain health is more astute? Then, you can switch to a month of high protein. [29:05] Tests To Request From Your Doctor Jimmy’s doctor stopped testing his fasting insulin. Also, Jimmy’s doctor was not testing for inflammation. These are some of the reasons why Jimmy stopped seeing that doctor. You want to test for blood sugar. If you’re eating keto, it will stay under 100 all of the time. Most of the time, keto will keep it under control. Request these tests: Blood sugar Fasting insulin HSCRP A full thyroid panel Most doctors are not running these numbers. You may need to order your own lab work. [37:55] Cholesterol Clarity Statin medications can have terrible side effects. Now, statins are not enough, and there is a new drug to be taken in conjunction with their statins. There is no such disease as high cholesterol. [41:00] It’s Going To Be Okay During COVID You have to be true to who you are. In 2020, people have felt that they need to conform. Even if you disagree, you have to follow along. Jimmy is more concerned about the mental fallout from COVID than the actual deaths from COVID. There will be tens of millions of people who need to deal with their mental health issues. If you want to wear a mask, it’s all good. If someone chooses not to wear a mask, then let them make that choice. There is no reason to blame or shame people because of their choices. [43:45] The One Things You Can Do To Up-Level Your Health Eat real food. Ditch the mainstream food industry. You have to go to the outskirts of the grocery store to see somewhat real food. How many people are still loading their carts with junk food? Jimmy would get rid of all the junk food and have people eat real and whole foods. It would make a dramatic change in our society. Nothing would help it. She had surgery and saw multiple specialists. Eventually, Dr. Cate took her husband’s advice and cut the sugar. After learning about nutrition, Dr. Cate realized that our health problems started in the 1950s. Now, Dr. Cate says we should take advantage of all the living and edible parts of our landscape. [09:05] How Dr. Cate Gets Her Message Out To The World There are so many barriers in place for education on nutrition. For one, Dr. Cate would give talks about nutrition. So, she got a reputation for being a Master of Nutrition. However, people would come from all over Hawaii to ask Dr. Cate everything! There was no way to manage it. Later, Dr. Cate moved to New Hampshire to get her message out. She found out the medical system was silencing her message, not where she lived. Currently, Dr. Cate works for a company directly. That way, her income is not based on churning through people as fast as possible. [12:50] Working For The LA Lakers The only reason Dr. Cate worked for the LA Lakers was because of her husband. Her husband had the idea that it would be great if there were a radical overhaul on their nutritional science. When players get injured, Dr. Cate will use the natural healing properties of bone broth to get them on the court as fast as possible. Kobe Bryant was totally on board for the natural healing methods. After an ankle injury, he recovered in two weeks using a diet. Bone broth and collagen are like a missing food group – it helps skin, hair, nails, ligaments, and the gut. The most important thing that no one is talking about is The Hateful Eight Seed Oils. These oils are incompatible with athletic performance. A big part of Dr. Cate’s job was making sure that the players knew what to order and what to avoid. [19:00] About The Hateful Eight Avoid these oils: Corn Canola Cottonseed Soy Sunflower Safflower Rice Grapeseed They are too high in unstable fatty acids. The average person is getting most of their calories from these oils. Without these seed oils, we would not have the burden of chronic disease. We were healthier 100 years ago, and we had no clue about vitamins, minerals, and supplements. [24:10] The Great Exchange After a certain point, our body wants nothing to do with these unstable fatty acids. Two percent of daily calories should come from omega-3 and omega-6. We actually need more omega-3 than we do omega-6. The exchange of good fatty acids for bad fatty acids opens the door to chronic disease. Once we exceed the two percent amount of unstable fatty acids, then they end up in our body fat. We have a lot of people who are on the skinny side but are centrally obese. Our bodies cannot traffic these unstable acids properly. That’s why it stays near the fat lining of our intestines. Start eating the monounsaturated fatty acids. Clear your life of the seed oils. [28:55] We Need More Omega-3s Than Omega-6s On a healthy diet, omega-3s are more likely to get damaged during cooking. For the amount that is ultimately absorbed, we need more omega-3 sources in the food that we eat. You can’t supplement more omega-3 if you have been eating a standard American diet. Instead, you have to cut the omega-6. If you reduce omega-6 without increasing your intake of omega-3, then your blood levels of omega-3 will start to rise. Oxidation science is very complicated, and there is a lot to consider. [33:40] Fish Oil Is Highly Unstable Oxygen will attack the bond and destroy the molecule. Fish oil has two double bonds. So the oxygen is nine billion times more likely to attack. Fish oils can have five double bonds. It is so unstable that it rarely makes it off the shelf before it’s destroyed. The fish oil will turn into toxic compounds. People are getting toxic compounds from low-quality fish oils. [36:30] How To Reduce Coronavirus Deaths Brazil leads in the consumption of seed oils. They are also the country that leads in the number of deaths from coronavirus. Countries that consume more peanut oil have a lot fewer coronavirus deaths. This isn’t a crazy coincidence. The connection is inflammation. Coronavirus is a modest virus when you compare it to things like the bubonic plague. The virus will make our own processes work against us. That way, the virus can continue to divide into our bodies. When people die from the virus, it’s the inflammation in their lungs. Avoid unstable fats to stay healthy. [41:35] Thoughts On Peanut Oil Peanut oil straddles the seed oil and the nut oil worlds. Nut oils are much more stable than seed oils. Peanuts are really seeds. However, it’s not enough to be a problem in our body. You do not have to process the peanut so harshly. You can extract it without high heat, pressure, and chemicals. You can have peanut oils made with pure and raw materials. [45:00] The Metabolism Does Not Have Speeds Our metabolism doesn’t have speeds; it has efficiency and inefficiency. When we are a fat burner, it can efficiently switch from burning calories in our last meal to burning fat if we have a healthy metabolism. Our metabolism can burn our body fat, so we don’t get hungry hours after a meal. That is an efficient metabolism. If our metabolism is inefficient, then we have a hard time burning body fat. Professional athletes are using deep tissue laser therapy to recover and play faster. Light energy will penetrate deep into the cells and target the mitochondria. Then, it will produce more ATP. The injury will heal way faster using laser therapy because it will renew the cell at a much higher rate. [21:20] The Role Sleep Plays In Pain Unfortunately, Dr. Bryan is a face-down sleeper. It’s not suitable for your lower bag. The best thing you can possibly do is to sleep in the fetal position. Use a pillow in-between your legs to balance out the hips. Find a pillow that will keep your spine aligned. If you are going to sleep face up, always put a pillow underneath your knees to flatten out your lower back on the bed. Always make sure your lower back is supported. [24:00] Dr. Bryan’s Keto Journey Bryan is glad keto is working for fat loss. At 40, your diet has to be on point more than ever. Bryan eats quality eggs, avocados, raw nuts, and keto shakes. Bulletproof is Dr. Bryan’s favorite coffee. He has never felt sharper mentally than he has with bulletproof coffee. In between meals, rely on fluids to get you through the day. Drink water, bone broth, or herbal tea to curb hunger. Making it from lunch to dinner without snacks is a massive accomplishment. Insulin resistance is caused by chronic secretion of insulin. The pancreas is not designed to stimulate insulin throughout the day. If you eliminate snacking, it will help you reach your goals. [07:20] We Are Note Designed To Eat Constantly Eating all day long is making us age faster, it’s making us sicker, and it hurts our health. We are not designed to eat more than a couple of times a day. [08:15] How To Start Fasting People are comfortable with cutting out breakfast. Start with eating lunch and eating dinner. This should be done every day to build your fasting muscles. Sixteen hours is a mild fast – it’s like stretching every day. Once this becomes easy, then cut out lunch and cut out dinner, depending on what works best for your schedule. It’s better to eat earlier in the day if you are going to eat. Experiment with sodium to get to dinner without any snacking. After a fast, assess results: Are you feeling well? Do you see improvements? [13:30] Our Hunger Hormone Cycles Throughout The Day All of our hormones go up and down throughout the day. Ghrelin, the hunger hormone, will also cycle throughout the day. When you hit a hunger wave, it’s best to distract yourself. Try an appetite suppressant like peppermint tea. Once you get busy, the hunger wave will subside. Ride out the hunger wave by creating a list of things to do. Another way to ride the hunger wave is by reducing your stress. Use hunger waves to meditate, breathe, or listen to Keto Kamp. Water, salt, and magnesium will assist with stress and inflammation. [21:20] Getting A Continuous Glucose Monitor Call your insurance company and let them know about your blood glucose issues. Most people can get their monitors covered. In Canada, you are able to get the monitors easily. Megan says to work with your healthcare provider to negotiate the monitor. [23:20] The Importance of Changing Your Fasting Routine If you’re fasting every other day, it usually provides enough variation. When people are only eating one meal a day, their bodies will adapt to it. For maintenance, one meal a day is excellent. However, many people can be happy with two meals a day. When looking to lose weight, your body will adapt to your schedule. There is a big difference between fasting and calorie restriction. Your days should be varied and different, so your body does not adapt. For people who like to do OMAD, alternate which meal you’re having. Eat lunch one day, dinner the next, then lunch the day after. It’s a great way to change your routine and keep variation in your fast. [33:00] Why Your Breath Smells While Fasting When we fast, fatty acids are converted into ketones, which are natural chemicals your body produces when you burn fat for energy. Ketones are released through our breath, and it may cause “keto breath.” Brushing your tongue is one way to get rid of the smelly breath. Oil pulling is beneficial for the breath – it helps get bacteria out of the mouth. [35:20] Why You’re Bloated During A Fast Some people are bloated because they are constipated. Most people have adrenal dysfunction. There could be stress on the thyroid. Electrolyte imbalances can also cause bloating. Focus on sodium as the gateway electrolyte. If you can sustain healthy sodium levels, then it should lower that bloating. [37:10] Diarrhea Or Constipation While Fasting You may have diarrhea while detoxing. If insulin levels are high, and you start a fast, they can drop rapidly. The kidneys may not be able to process all of that water – so some will go through the colon. If this happens, start with shorter fasts. Stabilize your carb intake on your eating days to prevent large insulin fluctuations. Hydration is key! Not just water, but water and electrolytes. If you are constipated, most likely, your thyroid is suppressed. As your body figures out your new lifestyle changes, it will adjust accordingly. Keep water and salt up to support the system. [41:10] Why You’re Cold During A Fast The thyroid could be a reason why you are cold during a fast. Low ketones is another reason why you are cold while fasting. Warmth should improve when your ketones are higher. [45:20] About Carb Cycling If someone is exceptionally diabetic, then they should stay keto. Even a few carbs can be counter-productive. Usually, Megan will introduce carbs when women are halfway through their journey. If they are off their medications and are seeing more glucose control, then they can start eating carbs again. Carb cycling will help support female hormones. If a woman has been doing straight keto and fasting quite a lot, they may hit a plateau to access body fat. Today, I am blessed to have an eye-opening conversation with academic gastroenterologist, Dr Andrew Wakefield, MB, BS, FRCS, FRCPath. He received his medical degree from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School (part of the University of London) in 1981, one of the third generation of his family to have studied medicine at that teaching hospital. He pursued a career in gastrointestinal surgery with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease. He qualified as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1985 and in 1996 was awarded a Wellcome Trust Traveling Fellowship to study small-intestinal transplantation in Toronto, Canada. He was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2001. He has published over 130 original scientific articles, book chapters, and invited scientific commentaries. In the pursuit of possible links between childhood vaccines, intestinal inflammation, and neurologic injury in children, Dr. Wakefield lost his job in the Department of Medicine at London's Royal Free Hospital, his country, his career, and his medical license. He is married to Carmel, a physician and a classical radio presenter. They have four children, James, Sam, Imogen, and Corin, and a black mongrel called Bella. At first, Robert De Niro supported the showing of Vaxxed. Unfortunately, it was pulled from the festival amid criticism. Really, it was the sponsors that started threatening to pull their dollars. Three days later, Robert De Niro said it was a mistake to pull Vaxxed. This documentary started awareness about vaccines and medical awareness. [10:15] Bill Gates on Vaccine Development and Surveillance In Argentina, there’s a program that is testing the system of mandatory vaccines. If you do not have the vaccines, you cannot get things like a license. Bill Gates is dictating policy and personal vaccine choice. What degree does Bill Gates have to speak on this subject? He has inserted himself into this role. Bill says that if you want to live in his society, you need to be compliant with his wishes. Andy says that this bizarre. Why is CNN entertaining him? [13:20] About 1986 The Act Andy wanted this movie to be relatable. He made the movie about the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, and how it relates to a mother’s intuition. This movie is all about the power of intuition. The mother knows that there is something dangerous about vaccines. The movie enables us to explore the science behind vaccines. The mother wants to look at the science and pull it apart. Watch the movie: https://1986theact.com. [20:00] The Similarities Between The Ford Pinto and Vaccinations The Ford Pinto turned out to be super dangerous. When rear-ended, the car would explode. Ford had two options; they could recall the cars or pay for the victims. They found out that it would cost a lot less to pay for the victims than recall the vehicles. Vaccine manufacturers did the exact same thing. They could have made a safer vaccine, but it would cost them more money. After doing a cost-benefit analysis, they realized it would be cheaper to pay for the children who are brain-damaged and killed. Overall, profits are more important than people. [25:50] The Future of Mandatory Vaccinations Vaccines are being rushed to the market. The Swine Flu Vaccine had no benefit whatsoever. Mandatory vaccine bills are taking choice away from parents. The Democrats are in bed with the pharmaceutical companies. Democrats are in favor of a federal mandatory vaccine bill. Personal freedom is coming from the Republicans. The future of humankind will come from the next election. Once a vaccine is put inside of you, you cannot take it out. You should never take away people’s choice! People need to wake up to this. [30:50] Vaccinations vs. Non-Vaccinations There is no study between vaccination and non-vaccination from the CDC. However, a private study found that there are significantly worse outcomes for kids who are vaccinated vs. the ones that are not vaccinated. People have lost confidence with the policymakers. There is such an awareness and resistance for the opinions of “experts.” [34:00] The Future of COVID If we want to understand where we are going, all you need to do is watch 1986. Doctors are writing off motorcycle deaths as COVID-19 deaths. The marketing strategy of fear is being used. Society is ramping us up for the dependency of a vaccine. Viruses have been around since humans have existed. Our microbiome should be our mask. Instead of vaccines, we need to take care of our health. [38:25] “Saving” Mankind in Violation of Personal Liberties There needs to be a liability for the corporations behind these vaccinations. Whenever there is a risk, there needs to be choice. There is most certainly risk when it comes to a vaccine. We need to stand up for our rights. Once they are gone, it will be a long time until we get them back. AND MUCH MORE! [00:45] Why Not Eating Carbs Isn’t Enough The keto diet makes you lose a bunch of weight, and it also causes inflammation. The keto cookies are made with gluten – they are causing inflammation! If you are not in ketosis some of the time, you will not live to 180. On the Bulletproof diet, people have lost 1,000,000 pounds. Not eating carbs doesn’t work 100% of the time. [04:50] Why We Need To Eat The Right Fats What are our cell membranes made of? Well, it depends where they are found in the body. Look at everything you eat from three different lenses: Is it going to be used as a building block? Is it going to be used as a fuel? What toxins does it have in it? What percentage of your body are carbs? Less than one percent. You do not need carbs as a building block. There is about a two-year half-life of fat in the body. When you eat good fats, it will take two years to make your cell membranes functioning. Saturated fats are awesome because they do not break easily, and they are stable. We have demonized saturated fats. However, 45% of our cell membrane fat is saturated fats. The only fat your body can make is saturated fat. Our brains need these saturated fats. Monounsaturated fats fill in the big building blocks. Omega-3s and omega-6s will be the lubricants. [12:45] Think About Quality Ingredients People will try and put anything in the keto category. It’s a problem. The quality of the ingredients matter. The reason grass-fed butter is such a big thing is because the fatty acid ratios are different. Animal fat is so precious – that’s why Dave raises his own animals. Part of the keto message has to be “don’t eat industrial meat.” It will WRECK your ketosis. Short-ribs from a grass-fed cow are covered in fat. It is a religious experience. Eat less meat and spend more on it if that what it takes to eat grass-fed meat. Half of your fat calories should be saturated. [18:50] Stop Overcooking Your Foods Overcooked food is rough on your liver. When you eat heavily charred meat, you’ll feel bad. It doesn’t matter if it’s delicious; it matters how you will feel when it’s done. Parts of our cells will act as incinerators. They burn our proteins and digest them. Overcooked foods will clog them up. If you keep shoveling them in there, then there is no mechanism to clean them up. Do not eat smoked foods! AND MUCH MORE! Team workouts increase intensity and also create camaraderie. I like a format called the Leap Frog workout that uses 3 exercises for 2 athletes. One of my favorites includes 10 Pullups, 10 Kettlebell Swings and 10 Wall Balls. Decide on a time for the workout. In this case, lets pick 20 minutes. Athlete 1 will start on the pullups and upon finishing the 10th rep will call out his partners name to signify that he is finished and his partner should begin. Athlete 2 will begin the Kettlebell swings and call out his partners name when he finishes the 10th rep. Athlete 1 will have walked to the Wall ball and begins when his name is called. This completes the first round and we now have Athlete 2 at the pullup bar waiting for his name to be called. This format increases intensity as you are trying hard to move as fast as your partner. Do this with another team and compete for most rounds in 20 minutes for even more intensity. You don’t have to use any equipment for this format. You can come up with a workout in this format that might include Situps, squats and burpees. Try the Leap Frog format and let me know what you think. Fishing with kids can be difficult, frustrating and a real test of your patience. However, if you can successfully get your child or grandchild into the sport you will have a fishing buddy for life. I fished with my kids when they were all very young. In fact, my oldest was on the boat strapped into a car seat while I was jumping tarpon on fly. His career progressed from there and all my children developed a love of the water and the fishing lifestyle. Today, my children are 16, 20 and 22. I invited Capt Scott Brown and his son Grayton from Hooked on Family on the show to talk about how someone might successfully get a young child into fishing. Grayton is 4 so Scott is much closer to the nuances of fishing with a 4 year old than I am. Scott has a military background and brings some of that into fishing with kids. He suggests a P.A.C.E. plan to organize your fishing trip. What is a P.A.C.E. plan? P - Primary A - Alternate C - Contingency E - Emergency P = Primary is the ideal plan for the day. What are you going to do? If you have spent much time on the water, you probably know that that ideal plan doesn't always work out. Weather, someone could be in your spot, you could have misjudged the tide, or for whatever reason the fish may not be there today. A = Alternate. It is important to have an alternate plan for all these reasons and be prepared for it. If someone is in your spot, do you have an alternate spot nearby? Would you use the same bait? If not, are you prepared with bait and tackle for this alternate spot? C = Contingency. What happens when your child gets sick of fishing? How about the sandbar? Swimming or collecting sand dollars or shells. E = Emergency. Always have a plan for an emergency. Where is the closest place to the road? What will you do if the weather turns bad? Do you have a First Aid Kit? What communication devices do you have? Radio, cell phone? Are these charged? Scott also encourages managing your expectations and having fun as the top priority. Fun is the top priority. I recall some stories of my kids just playing in the live well all day. Many parents have asked me about this. My response is always to let them play in the livewell. Welcome to the Keto Kamp Podcast Episode 163 with Dr. Pompa Today, I am grateful to have for a THIRD time, a well-known medical trainer and detoxification expert, Dr. Pompa. The people of Africa have a saying that before one can have authority, one must first experience victory. Having battled and emerged victorious over a debilitating battle with chronic fatigue syndrome, Dr. Dan Pompa has embraced his God-given mission to assist others who face similar challenges. Dr. Pompa earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University’s College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia in 1995 where he graduated second in a class of 150. His journey back to health continued to lead him to a voracious passion to research and learning beyond what is often readily understood. He and his family live in Park City, Utah. Even though Dr. Pompa no longer practices chiropractic, his understanding of cellular healing and his “5R Principles” as the “roadmap” to healing has led to many requests to be a speaker at large chiropractic seminars to hundreds of professionals who learn of his detoxification program for neurotoxic conditions and other unexplainable illnesses. In 2004, spiritual leaders and health care practitioners hosted Dr. Pompa’s teachings on health and healing principles and the dangerous misuse of western medicine in Zimbabwe, South Africa. In this episode, Dr. Pompa opens the show by describing how worldwide COVID-19 cases are similar to those of the flu. Back in March, no one knew how COVID-19 would affect the United States. Dr. Pompa agreed with flattening the curve. However, we still haven’t hit herd immunity, and Dr. Pompa is concerned. Herd immunity will stop the spread of COVID-19; forcing people to wear masks is prolonging the time it will take for us to reach that immunity. Instead of wearing masks, we should be gathering in groups and spreading the antibodies. [07:25] Worldwide, COVID-19 Is Similar To The Flu All of us should be angry; we have all been lied to when it comes to wearing a mask. “Experts,” thought this would be 2 million+ deaths. When you look at flu death statistics, the average is 260,000 to 650,000. Currently, we are at 126,000 deaths from COVID-19. In the United States, hospitals are actually given bonuses for COVID-19 diagnoses and deaths. Many deaths are being given to COVID-19, even though that is not the reason why they died. 9% of the deaths in New York City are being attributed to another cause. [10:25] Flattening The Curve Was Essential Back in March, no one knew where this was going to go. Pompa agreed personally that flattening the curve was essential. Now, Dr. Pompa is worried about hitting herd immunity. We are still getting cases because we have not hit herd immunity. [12:40] The Importance Of Herd Immunity Exposure doesn’t equal disease. A person can have the virus with no symptoms. If someone has the antibodies, then they can no longer infect other people. Eventually, the virus will lose its ability to infect people. We need more people with antibodies to stop the virus. [16:20] Why We Shouldn’t Wear A Mask A lot of people are getting migraine headaches from wearing a mask. Oxygen levels are lower when wearing a mask. We are stepping on liberties when we are being told to wear a mask. Do masks even work? When masks are combined with other strategies, they still have low certainty evidence that it works. N95 masks MIGHT work. Dr. Pompa is skeptical. Actually, we should be spreading the virus in order to end it. Therefore, we shouldn’t be wearing masks. [21:00] What About The High-Risk Community? Just like when you get the flu, you need to stay home. High-risk communities need to stay home to stay safe. [22:55] We Need To Spread COVID-19 Businesses need to open in order to spread COVID-19 faster. The media creates fear so that people do not gather. However, we should be gathering to put the virus to rest. The one thing that puts a stop to the virus is herd immunity. [23:30] The Problem With Mandatory Vaccines Mandatory vaccines are one of the reasons we are getting weird viruses. The reason why there is so much criticism around vaccines is that the virus will mutate. Instead of waiting for a vaccine, we need to reach herd immunity. [28:40] The Reason We Are Surging The reason we are surging is because we are doubling the number of tests. However, death rates are still dropping. We want it to surge! We want people to test positive; the surge is actually a good thing. [30:30] Kids Are The Key To Spreading The Virus The last twenty years of research have shown that the more exposure, the healthier we will be. Kids that are exposed to more pathogens will have less cancer. The more exposure we have, the healthier we will be. [35:00] How Strong The Human Body Is Built God has made us in such an amazing way that man cannot better upon it. There is no magic pill; we need to take care of ourselves. AND MUCH MORE! Nick Davis is a firefighter and fly tyer from Bonita Springs, FL. He is the co founder of 239 Flies, a shop that is thriving at the same time that so many other fly shops around the country are closing their doors. Nick sat down with me and told the whole story of 239 Flies which was not only interesting but also motivating. I particularly liked how he used creative thinking to present something in a completely new way that has resulted in much of his success. We discussed some key principles which came from a book that we have both read called the E-Myth and how he applied those lessons very successfully to his business. Nick’s story of entrepreneurship can be applied to just about any other business as we agreed that the path he chose was very likely the least profitable path the world has ever seen.
