City leaders in Washington, D.C., filed a lawsuit Friday, ultimately challenging the administration's takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department. Republicans have praised the move, arguing that crime has gotten out of control. However, others are arguing that the city has seen record-low crime this year. Vladimir Putin has reportedly demanded a Ukrainian withdrawal from the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk in exchange for a freezing of front lines elsewhere.
