But the version the public sees isn't the one he lives with every day.In this conversation, James opens up about growing up in a broken home, the emotional walls he built to survive, and how those same walls later destroyed his friendships, relationships and sense of identity. He talks honestly about being judged, misunderstood, and constantly performing a version of himself that never felt real.James reveals the truth behind his dating breakdowns, life after separation, business failures, and being labelled “the fall guy.” He shares the pressure to stay in shape while suffering body dysmorphia, the impact of fame on his mental health, and why stepping away from TOWIE wasn't a career move, it was a life decision.Timestamps 00:00 – Intro 01:02 – Coming Up 05:08 – Growing Up in a Broken Home 09:01 – Is James Lock Vulnerable? 12:41 – Self-Awareness and Identity 15:06 – People Pleasing, Losing Friends & Finding Happiness 20:52 – The Dating Downfall 23:55 – Life After Separation 24:43 – Why “Money Doesn't Make You Happy” Is Bollocks 28:10 – Business Failures, Partnerships & Being the Fall Guy 31:52 – The Truth Behind His Physique 35:20 – Launching Lockie's Fitness App 40:42 – Battling Body Dysmorphia 50:30 – The “Stop Giving a F*ck” Mindset Shift 54:15 – Leaving TOWIE 01:00:21 – Ex On The Beach Drama 01:03:29 – His Five-Year Plan 01:04:38 – Final Thoughts

153. "Punch him across in front of a Cortina." Greetings, denizens of the dungeon! It's another one of those, off the cuff, directionless type episodes. Jamie and Fortch chatter the usual nonsense, and recount the fun stuff they've been watching over the last couple of weeks. Also in this episode, more lead fuelled tales of the bleak 1970s. As ever, forever, this podcast contains swearing and drunken opinions that could possibly irritate or offend. Let's hope you find something about it redeeming, if you do, why not send us a message and get mentioned in an upcoming episode? In this episode of The Bandwich Tapes, I sit down with legendary session drummer Paul Leim, whose six-decade career quietly powers a staggering piece of the soundtrack to our lives. Paul has played on more than 12,000 songs across over 2,000 releases, with 1,400+ silver/gold/platinum certifications, and global sales topping 540 million units. His discography encompasses over 150 combined GRAMMY nominations and wins, as well as 40+ major film/TV awards, and credits on more than 150 films and 100 television specials and series. If you've heard Lionel Richie, Shania Twain, Lyle Lovett, Kenny Chesney, Whitney Houston—or cues from Dirty Dancing, Smokey and the Bandit II, The River, or even Return of the Jedi, you've likely heard Paul.We trace the arc from East Texas clubs and Dallas jingle mills to late-'70s Los Angeles, where a “typical” week meant two complete drum rigs leapfrogging between Lionel Richie sessions, network TV soundstages, film dates, and award shows. Paul talks mentors and “angels” (band director Neil Grant, Robin Hood Brians, Doc Severinsen), lifelong friendships with the TCB family (Ron Tutt, Jerry Scheff), and lessons that still anchor his playing—especially dynamic control and “letting the mics work.” We get inside the high-wire reality of studio life. Paul calls it “95% boredom and 5% sheer terror”, including how to read conductors, when to lead the time, and when to ride it, and what it's like to move from live kit to orchestral percussion with John Williams. There are great shop-floor stories: cutting Lionel's “Truly” and counseling Lionel at the fork-in-the-road moment of leaving the Commodores; discovering that Lyle Lovett's “The Blues Walk” was gloriously vocal-free; and a deep dive into the precision world of Mutt Lange and Shania, ending bass notes just before the snare for mix “air,” the chrome-over-brass “important” snare, and the on-the-fly invention of tom “Mutt flaps” for short, open fills. Paul also shares a personal fork he chose differently: turning down a James Taylor tour to be home with his young family, only to hand JT the final serial-numbered Leim signature snare decades later at the White House.Today, Paul is still very much in motion: bandleading the TCB Band in Europe, steering The Tennessee Four with Thomas Gabriel to carry the Cash legacy, and jumping into Million Dollar Quartet shows—proof that the hang, the humility, and the groove endure. It's a conversation about craft, friendship, stewardship of a gift, and the choices that shape both a career and a life.Music from the Episode:Pick it Apart (Mark O'Connor)Truly (Lionel Richie)The Blues Walk (Lyle Lovett)Thank you for listening. This is it — the final Halloween episode of the season and the crew goes out with a full stomach and zero chill. We kick things off with a Kelly Fact that blew our minds: trick-or-treating traces back to medieval “souls cakes”, when folks went door-to-door offering prayers for the dead in exchange for cake. FNBob immediately wants the recipe; Henvincible warns it sounds like another questionable British dish. Next, FNBob casually flexes his new academic cred — a doctorate in Meta Physics — and reminds everyone he's also an ordained minister now (because why not). Costume roll call: FNBob rocks a Hogwarts dropout Ravenclaw look, Henvincible is Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer, and Kelly turns heads in an inflated Fall Guy suit. Adulting turtles the conversation into taxes, car headaches, and bad drivers — but mostly we talk food. The crew goes full “fat asses” mode tasting and debating halal spots, and FNBob teases a Chicago food map he's building to crown the city's best bites. Real Chicago foodie tea gets spilled: tavern-style pizza is a tourist term, Southsiders judge restaurants by “how's the fish,” and the eternal debate — turkey tips as rib replacements — explodes into comic fury. Henvincible mentions cauliflower pizza and FNBob has a meltdown you'll want to hear. It's the perfect mix of history, costumes, food, and the kind of ridiculous arguments only the Nonsense crew could sustain. Final jack-o'-lantern: lit. Final bite: messy. Final laugh: guaranteed. ⭐ Show Highlights Kelly Fact: the medieval origin of souls cake → trick-or-treating's wild roots. FNBob's new flex: Doctorate in Meta Physics + ordained minister status. Costume show-and-tell: Ravenclaw dropout, Tanjiro Kamado, and an inflated Fall Guy. Adulting rage: taxes, cars, and Chicago driving nightmares. FNBob's upcoming Chicago food map — tour-worthy recommendations incoming. South Side food rules: restaurants judged by “How's the fish?” Food fight: turkey tips vs pork ribs (spoiler: it gets heated). Cauliflower pizza mention sparks FNBob's culinary meltdown — comedic gold. ❓ Question of the Day Are turkey tips a worthy stand-in for pork ribs — sacrilege or smart swap? (Explain your take!)

The official story has always painted Alex Acosta as the man solely responsible for Jeffrey Epstein's non-prosecution agreement, but that version is designed to mislead. Acosta was a mid-level figure, a convenient scapegoat set up to absorb public outrage while the real decisions were made in Washington. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Deputy Attorney General Mark Filip, and other senior DOJ brass were the ones who met with Epstein's powerful legal team, signed off on the immunity clause, and ensured the deal protected not only Epstein but his co-conspirators. Acosta merely carried out orders that had already been determined above him, and when the truth started to unravel, he was offered up as the fall guy to shield the institution. The failure to subpoena everyone involved—from state prosecutors to Main Justice leadership—reveals that Congress is more interested in theater than accountability. By focusing blame on Acosta, the system preserved itself, kept survivors from the truth, and avoided admitting the uncomfortable reality that DOJ itself bent the law to protect a billionaire predator. True justice requires putting every official who touched the deal under oath, including Mukasey and Filip, to expose how the NPA was engineered. Until that happens, the scandal remains unresolved and the cover-up intact, with Acosta remembered not as the architect of Epstein's freedom, but as the shield sacrificed to keep the powerful safe.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Until that happens, the scandal remains unresolved and the cover-up intact, with Acosta remembered not as the architect of Epstein's freedom, but as the shield sacrificed to keep the powerful safe.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Troy McLachlan is a British national brought up in New Zealand and earned a bachelor's degree in Asian and American politics before embarking on an advertising and television/film industry career. Inspired by the cosmology of the Electric Universe hypotheses and its ability to provide rational and natural explanations for the mythological record, Troy recognized that the god Saturn plays an important role in some of the world's more deviant esoteric traditions. He wrote the website and kindle-book "The Saturn Death Cult" as an attempt to forge a link between the implications of "Saturn Theory" and its detrimental effect on the beliefs of certain Saturnian-based occult groups and agendas. "Your heart goes through your chest." His film The Fall Guy is about the unknown performers who put their lives on the line.
