Send us a textWelcome to a special episode on customer loyalty where Suvo Sarkar is in deep discussion with Ajay Row, a globally acknowledged expert on loyalty programs and the founder & chairman of Customer Capital. Why is data the most valuable commodity but is freely given away? What are the 6 key assets of a loyalty program? Are points better than discounts? Should we try to dazzle and delight every single customer? And how are digitisation and AI transforming the “card-points-rewards” principles of loyalty? Ajay analyses the economics of pan-bank loyalty programs and explains why they mostly fail to take off. And he lays out the future factors for success, and argues that marketers need to redefine their job roles. Join Suvo & Ajay for a thoughtful discussion on unboxing loyalty programs, enhancing email open rates and sailing in Mumbai harbour every weekend. If you are in the business of banking, marketing, sales or loyalty, or believe making money from customers by delivering affordable value is important, this is one episode you can't afford to miss.Visit give.moneymajlis.com to join my giving movement and contribute to a charity of your choice by redeeming your free gift card.Research by : Shekhar Krishnamurthy Production : Poddster Giving partner : Goodworld

Why is the Indian technology stack being exported overseas? Where do Indian bankers get their new confidence from? Is it the end of the road for multinational retail banks? And what is the next new wow for Indian banking customers? Vaswani and Sarkar discuss the growth of financial inclusion, the decline of foreign bank market shares and the challenge of breaking silos in banking organizations. Vaswani also talks about his transition to the Indian work ethic, his leadership style, his passion for education and his mother's influence on his life. Please visit give.moneymajlis.com to get your free Money Majlis GiveCard that you can redeem to contribute to a charity of your choice. Send us a textIn this XTRA episode of Money Majlis, I talk with Christina Boutrup, journalist, author and China analyst, about how the world's biggest digital economy is transitioning from a low-cost manufacturing hub into a high-tech innovation centre. The recent launch of the Deep Seek AI platform makes you wonder whether the restriction of chip imports from the US has pushed China to be even more innovative and frugal. How is the speed of innovation so high in China? Why does Byte Dance launch over a thousand experiments a day? Was the Starbucks wallet inspired by Chinese consumers? Are the technology trends in China 3-5 years ahead of the rest of the world? And has the fierce competition in the Chinese domestic market delivered products of higher quality and cheaper price?   And what about energy? With over 60% of all wind turbines and solar panels deployed in China, and with growing production of green hydrogen, is the country the emerging green superpower? My guest Christina Boutrup discusses the coming robotic revolution in China that will unleash a new Gen R, the new AI guardrails that are stricter than Europe's, the forest of over 120 million trees that Ant Financial has planted and the red lines that she could never cross as a journalist. Join me and Christina for a fascinating discussion on the future of China, and the world. Here is a link to sign up for the China tour that Christina Boutrup leads: https://www.wavelengthleadership.com/global-tours/wavelength-china/Please visit give.moneymajlis.com to get your free Money Majlis GiveCard that you can redeem to contribute to a charity of your choice. How does private equity feed into public markets? Mark delves into the history of emerging markets and the describes the uphill task he faced in the initial years to convince his company and his customers to invest in markets like China, India, South Africa and Latin America. Why will Trump have a “net positive” effect on emerging economies? Richie Kendall is a visionary business leader and storyteller. He envisions a world powered by generosity, collaboration, and compassion where workplace giving, cause marketing, influencer impact, and next-generation philanthropy collide. His company Goodworld provides award-winning nonprot and CSR software to power the social purpose sector.  His combined experience in technology, film, social impact, and design has put him at the center of collaborations with leading global brands and impact movements. Key Takeaways:Here are the two main trends: companies today want to humanize their brands in order to appeal to the younger generations while individuals are starting to become like brands, building communities and creating revenue as influencers. In a world that values making a profit, being classified as an organization that's not making a profit messes up with our collective self-esteem. Nonprofit organizations are stable and worthwhile, but the label has an effect on people's mindsets.Nonprofits must adapt to the digital age by involving younger people in their work, whether through volunteering, spreading the message, or changing cultural attitudes. Nonprofits that fail to do so risk becoming irrelevant, while those that embrace this change will be better positioned for long-term success.Collaboration between for-profits and nonprofits is powerful, with each side offering unique value to the other. There is also a lot that either party can learn from the other. “You have human beings in a way becoming more like brands. The influencer economy, groups of people, organizations working together, create a symbolic form to attract their people to build a community, to create revenue, and build things.” “There's no reason why nonprofits can't be tight-run ships that are all about creating returns on impact, rather than returns on investment.” “The more organizations can comport to the demands of younger generations, I think the better world we're going to have.” - Richie Kendall Reach out to Richie Kendall at:Website: https://goodworldnow.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/goodworld.me/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/goodworld/Twitter: https://twitter.com/goodworldLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/goodworld Ask for and receive all you want need and deserve without feeling rejected, ineffective, or pushy. My guest today is Richie Kendall, the co-founder of Goodworld, an AMAZING tech stack that helps organizations (both nonprofit and for-profit) manage and fuel their growth.Richie's platform combines many great features in one platform, making it easier to coordinate your outreach for maximum effect. In my opinion, nonprofit organizations could especially benefit from using Goodworld to have all of their events, social giving, and rounding up campaigns all in one easy-to-view place. This would help to reduce costs and cut down on time wasted learning multiple platforms. Richie and I had a great conversation and I hope you enjoy it. Link: Good World NowASK: Educate yourself on where the world is moving. John Gossart grew up in Boston and wanted to go to Boston College. Money was an issue, as with most everyone, and the Army gave him a scholarship in the ROTC program. His father was an Army vet and served in Viet Nam, so was quite supportive. Although he didn't plan on a military career, John stayed 22 years including working in counter-terrorism in the Pentagon. He spent time overseas and met people along the way who got into a startup and invited him along for the ride. Having so much time away from home, he took them up on in and they all jumped into a tech firm. They operated at a golden time for tech startups and received funding from Daimler. The company was eventually acquired and the experience was terrific for John and his family, and led to starting GoodWorld in 2015. They are still a "seed startup", but have turned the corner. The company makes donating easier and increase conversion rates for organizations creating content for their fundraising. Operating behind their charitable causes, Goodworld makes it easier to donate to any number of worthy efforts. So how did John Gossart get there in the first place? In an effort to get into college, ROTC was a way to be able to pay for it and that was his initial motivation. But the Army soon appealed to him and he signed up after graduating. He was in Kosovo in '99 and came back to the US and after 911 he was mostly deployed until '09. After leaving the Army, he was approached by a startup group with an intriguing social media concept. A chance meeting with Founder Dale got him excited about a worthy cause and, with some stability from a startup exit, he jumped in.
