Dr. Os Guinness shares deep insights into the current chaos in the United States in what is a cultural revolution. Guinness observes a crisis of freedom, a shift in the past fifty years toward the radical left, which has more in common with the French Revolution of 1789 than the Hebrew Exodus from Egypt (The Sinai Revolution of faith) in the Old Testament. He inspires believers to be agents of change in America by representing Christ and being champions of justice and true freedom, which leads to peace and order in society. Corresponding Episode:She Impacts Culture Podcast #124, Beyond Logic & Embracing Change, Dr. Jen Bennetthttps://drjenbennett.com/beyond-logic-embracing-change/In this episode from our She Impacts Culture Devotional Series, guest host Corrie Heinrichs leads us on a journey centered on the theme of "Embracing Change." Drawing from the powerful scriptures of Isaiah 43:18-1, contemplate how God prepares us for new seasons in life, encouraging us to trust in His guiding hand even when faced with uncertainty. Through heartfelt prayers, personal reflections, and actionable steps, this episode invites listeners to open their hearts to God's transformative works, let go of familiar comforts, and embrace the greater blessings He has in store. English Standard Version (ESV)Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.New Living Translation (NLT) But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.New International Version (NIV)Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.Ask yourself:"When have I been most reluctant to leave behind the blessings I know for the potentially greater blessings God has in preparation for me?”ReflectDedicate time this week to quietly contemplate Isaiah 43:18-19.Reflect on areas in your life where you might be yearning for change or where God might be signaling it's time for transformation.EngageJot down one tangible change you feel called to make or accept in your life.Initiate this change by planning actionable steps you can take this week, such as altering your routine, reaching out for new opportunities, or even shifting your mindset towards new possibilities.PrayPray for a heart receptive to God's nudgings, willing to move beyond comfort and familiarity.Intercede for those in our lives who are also experiencing change, that they may feel supported and strengthened in God's love during transitions.Pray for a transformative spirit within ourselves to consistently grow in faith and alignment with God's will.Corresponding Episode:She Impacts Culture Podcast #124, Beyond Logic & Embracing Change, Dr. Jen Bennetthttps://drjenbennett.com/beyond-logic-embracing-change/Connect with Jen:Website: https://drjenbennett.comMy Book: http://amzn.to/2H4gn9mInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drjenbennett/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drjenbennett/

Have you ever wondered if by creating podcast episodes you're adding to the internet noise... or perhaps you're lacking motivation because you're not having the ripple effects you were expecting with your content?Let me share that podcasts can become effective tools for change during times of personal, social, and political unrest. So in this episode of The Podcast Space, I invited Yesenia Bocanegra, host of the Focus and Bloom podcast to dive into the concept of fostering community through podcasts and the ripple effects of even the smallest actions. Yesenia shares her personal journey of overcoming limiting beliefs and the power of authenticity in content creation. The conversation also touches on the importance of encouragement and support among creators, especially women. The biggest takeaway of this episode is perhaps the significance of pursuing one's (podcast) passion and the unexpected positive impact it can have on others.Timestamps:00:00 The Power of Podcasting in Times of Crisis00:32 Introducing Yesenia Bocanegra: A Conversation on Empathy and Change01:29 The Ripple Effect of Your Podcast07:30 Personal Growth Through Podcasting09:11 Empowering Women and Minorities Through Podcasting13:41 The Legacy of Content Creation18:05 Overcoming Limiting Beliefs and Creating Impact22:08 Closing Thoughts: The Importance of StartingResources mentioned in this episode:Let's work together to grow your podcast:https://bit.ly/PPodPartyFor the full list of links, resources and show notes, please visit:https://thepodcastspace.com/podcast/71-how-podcasts-can-turn-hosts-into-agents-of-change-for-themselves-and-their-communitiesLearn more about our Maximize Your Podcast Content course: https://bit.ly/3TesQwc Subscribe to the Podcast on Audio Platforms: https://bit.ly/3Y4bF2c Subscribe to our newsletter for more Podcast Tips: https://thepodcastspace.ck.page/32680fa82e

Acts 9:20-31. Not every faith journey is the same, but every faith journey does share some similarities. We don't all serve God in the same way, but we all serve God in some way. In this message we look at the radical transformation of Saul, how his purpose changed after meeting Christ, and how others played a role in his spiritual growth. As a free (or formerly free) society, we're being attacked on multiple fronts. The assaults are coming from the sectors of politics, education, finance, environment, health, and culture. Deception and media propaganda is now the norm. And to add insult to injury, apostate churches teaching doctrines of demons lead many astray, like lambs to the slaughter. Our enemy—the kingdom of darkness—uses people to carry out its plans through as many agents of change as possible, and this has happened since Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden. What are these agents of change that Satan infiltrates and uses? Find out in this episode!

Kemi Nekvapil, executive coach and author of POWER: A Woman's Guide to Living and Leaving without Apology, shares how women are shifting the landscape when it comes to leadership and power. Allowing for an abundance of power enables us to promote and support each other, rather than hold power over each other and compete. “I'm not afraid of your power,” says Nekvapil. “If I have power, I will happily stand alongside you, support you, and elevate your power in the same way that you will elevate my power, because we're both standing in who we truly are in the world.” Katty Kay, journalist and coauthor of THE POWER CODE: More Joy. Less Ego. Maximum Impact for Women (and Everyone), further explores the history and meaning of power. “Most of the studies of power and what power is, what it means, who has it, and how it should be wielded, have been drawn up by men over the centuries,” says Kay. “Understandably, they were the ones that had power.”

In the pursuit of knowledge, especially during turbulent times, diversity of thought produces solutions to complex problems both in society and in the workplace. In this Bold(h)er episode with Deland Kamanga (Group Head, BMO Wealth Management) and Lisa Bragg, we unpack the importance of embracing both mentorship and continuous learning to develop diverse, multi-dimensional teams.
The authors began this work with the understandings that (a) there is no “neutral” when it comes to the teaching of mathematics, and (b) mathematics teacher educators need to do something to help produce teachers of mathematics that develop students' relationships with mathematics and push against the inequities that exist both within and outside of the classrooms in which they will teach. In response, the authors created, deployed, and studied a learning module in an attempt to enact antiracist mathematics teacher education. The learning module activities, the findings about the learning from the prospective teachers who engaged in the module, and messages for mathematics teacher educators who want to engage in this work are shared. Special Guests: Anne Marie Marshall, Joel Amidon, and Rebecca E. Smith.

Relationships are everything! They are the foundation of everything that makes every single part of your life work fluidly. Join us as we speak with Daniele Hunter, Junior Agent at McIntosh & Otis, AALA member, and AALA DEI committee and Literary Agents of Change member! Becoming a literary agent is not for the faint of heart. As a passion-led industry that puts up many financial barriers to entry (unpaid internships, sky-high NYC rents, and earnings for many young workers well below a livable wage), publishing has historically been an industry that hires the most privileged. Today we talk about the fundamental need for diversity in publishing and what the AALA is doing to help mitigate those barriers. Hospital food has long had a bad reputation, but after several high profile campaigns, are things finally starting to improve? In England, new regulations are being implemented which are hoped to transform the meals being served, reduce waste, and make sure staff have access to good food 24/7. 60% of hospitals are already said to be complying - will the rest be able to catch up? But with many hospitals now functioning without real kitchens - can frozen or chilled meals that are simply re-heated in hospital be a part of that? Apetito, one of the biggest caterers, believes they can be, and invited Sheila Dillon to see how they prepare tasty and nutritious food in bulk. While in Cambridge, Sheila meets those working on a brand new Children's Hospital and hears how they want good food to be central to the hospital's philosophy. It plans to give patients and their families access to more dining spaces to avoid children eating meals in bed (when possible), and it plans to have it's own kitchens cooking food from scratch. Presented by Sheila Dillon Produced in Bristol by Natalie Donovan

Museums everywhere have the potential to serve as agents of change—bringing people together, contributing to local communities, and changing people's lives. So how can we, as individuals, radically expand the work of museums to live up to this potential? How can we more fiercely recognize the meaningful work that museums are doing to enact change around the relevant issues in our communities? How can we work together to build a stronger culture of equity and care within museums? Questions like these are increasingly vital for all museum professionals to consider, no matter what your role is within your institution. They are also important questions for all of us to be thinking about more deeply as citizens and community members. Museums as Agents of Change: A Guide to Becoming a Changemaker (Rowman & Littlefield, 2021) is about the work we need to do to become changemakers and demand that that our museums take action toward positive social change and bring people together into a more just, equitable, compassionate, and connected society. It is a journey toward tapping the energies within all of us to make change happen and proactively shape a new future. Mike Murawski is a consultant, change leader, and educator living in Portland, Oregon. After more than 20 years of work in education and museums, Mike brings his personal core values of collaboration and care along with a deeper understanding of placed-based connections into the work that he leads within organizations, non-profits, schools, and communities. Mike is the author of Museums as Agents of Change, and author of the Substack publication Agents of Change. In 2016, he co-founded Super Nature Adventures LLC, a place-based education and creative design business that partners with parks, government agencies, schools, and non-profits to expand learning in the outdoors and public spaces. When he's not working on place-based projects or supporting change in nonprofits, you can find Mike on long trail runs in the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Be the Change! Here is Mahatma Gandhi's actual quote:"We but mirror the wold. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do."This episode addresses how we change our circumstances and world from our own place. Topics like Yin & Yang, Cycles, Spirals, and Seasons all factor into our collective understanding of the universe of which we all belong. We not only belong to the universe, we are made of the same stuff.“The four most common chemically active elements in the universe—hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen—are the four most common elements of life on Earth. We are not simply in the universe. The universe is in us.” - Neil deGrasse TysonThe above quote encapsulates the purpose and jumping off point for this conversation. It overlays a scientific template on a more energetic one which may explain why our intentions and actions have direct consequences in the world around us.This is a casual conversation that feels organically directed, asking philosophical questions like, "are inner and outer just illusions" as well as anatomical and scientific statements & queries of how the body works.Sources:If You Want to Change the World, First Change Yourself: Four Steps to Making a Positive ImpactOur Amazing Team:Judith George - Editor (video & audio)Keith Kenny - MusicCindy Fatsis - Photography

And let's have more fun doing it! Let's honor and boldly ask the universe for more. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/soulsistassleepmeditation/message
